|| Stand By Me|| Florence and the Machine ||
Miiko watched with a sense of amusement as Aria and Rose interacted, familiar because one had killed the other. "I don't think we should fight," but in the middle of the ocean, there was no one to hear them scream. "It's going to get cold out, you should put on your jacket." That's right, it was the middle of winter, Sam reminded Miiko. Miiko ran to her bag and tugged on her jacket, the four of them going to the top deck so that the two girls could fight. "Sam," Miiko said seriously, "if they discover that I'm a light bearer, act as though you didn't know. Whatever you do, don't reveal yourself." Miiko was serious, Sam was an essential operative within the Rebellion and if they lost him Miiko didn't know what she would do. "I'm afraid Ronan may have told them," he promised not to, but Miiko didn't now if robots were willing to act out of spite.
"Ah, I guess you lost," Miiko pat Rose's back comfortingly. "But at least you learned something out of it?" She gave a thumb's up to Aria, congratulating the winner. "It looks like after one hundred years, you've still got it." She giggled, growing rather bored of sitting on the ship. "Um, maybe we should go inside?" Miiko pointed to the rather large clouds forming above them, wondering if it had anything to do with the cold front. "Might snow," Sam murmured and Miiko grew excited. "I miss the snow!" Sam covered a few things on the deck and led them inside, steering them away from stormy seas. If they had to take a detour it would be a couple of extra hours until they reached Ornet, which was not what they wanted to happen.
"I'll start making dinner," Miiko wrinkled her nose. "I'll help!" She stripped off her jacket and skipped off into the galley with Sam to prepare the evening meal and give the two older girls a chance to reconnect and perhaps forgive as well as forget. Miiko on the other hand had nothing to recount and no battle that needed rematches. Therefore, she tied an apron around her waist and started on cutting up carrots. "What kind of plant does meat come from? I'm going to ask Mommy to plant it in her garden," she asked so innocently that Sam couldn't bring himself to tell her. "Um, they don't have it in Yavin, it's something that only grows on trees in Capitol City. Genetically engineered, you'd never be able to grow it there," Miiko frowned disappointingly. "I'll just tell them all about it!" She said instead.
The carrots were done, now Miiko was busily slicing up mushrooms and other vegetables for stir fry. "I've got the rice all ready," Sam said, placing it inside of the pan and beginning to fry all of the food up until the aroma filled the air and Miiko's stomach growled. "I can't wait to taste it!" She jumped down from the stool and placed her apron back inside of the drawer, assisting in portioning the rice onto four plates and carrying it to the table. "Dinner is served!"
