Although Juliette's smile faltered a bit at Camila's insistence that they do her hair and makeup before she get them drinks, she knew that it was the best course of action. Juliette could do her makeup well enough, and it was easier to be "good" at makeup when you owned top-brand makeup that had little troubleshooting involved with it, but she knew that Camila was even better. Plus, she trusted her friend more than she did herself, and she knew that while she would find something to complain about on her own face if she did her own makeup, she would feel much more comfortable with whatever Camila did to her, even if it was of the same quality. She sat down beside the girl, waving Aaliyah off as she commented on how her drink better have tequila in it too. That was a given. Juliette was intending on putting double the amount in Aaliyah's compared to Camila's, just for the fun of it. She rarely, if ever, got to see Aaliyah truly wasted to a point where she was a mess, and since Juliette hit that stage quite frequently, she always made it her mission to get her friends there too, even if they rarely did. In her mind, everything was more fun when the alcohol was making the decisions instead of your rational mind. It wasn't so great the next morning, but usually it was worth the deathly-feeling hangover.
"Okay, make me pretty!" she said, ready to relinquish control of her appearance to Camila, before jumping to a different conversation as a new thought crossed her mind. "Wait, okay, so... question: do you think I should go to prom with Ace if he asks me?" she inquired, smiling some, though she was serious. She had no idea that Camila had hooked up with Ace recently, and even if she did, it was questionable whether it would bother her or not anyway. She was only asking because Camila was her friend, and she was sure that in the weeks after Christmas, people would already start asking other people to prom. She assumed Ace was going to ask her... only because as of right now, he seemed like her only option, but her conflict was with whether she morally should go with him or not. Was accepting a prom invitation with someone who you already knew wanted more out of a relationship than you did, bad? Was it a form of leading him on, and mean to do? She didn't know, but like all important questions in life, she was sure Camila would have an answer. Before the girl could respond, she was typing out a text to Aaliyah, as this conversation in itself signaled to her that she couldn't wait until after hair and makeup for a drink.
