Derowynn stood looking at the waves crash onto the beach and then go back to their source. Her view of them was different today than it was yesterday though after the event of last night. She wondered what those things were and what else might be hidden under the waves. She never believed in sea monsters or any sort of strange creatures she read about in fairy tales, but now her view of that was different.
She wish there could be some new clothes to put on, a warm bath to be taken and warm food to be had. She wished she could get back home and stay there. This experience has zapped her of any desire to travel about anymore.
Dero heard them coming down to the beach and turned to see Vadik with a small entourage behind him. She was relieved to see this group seemed to be human and started to think that perhaps they knew how to get out of here. Their dress seemed to be something out of a Renaissance Fair. She wanted to giggle at first, but the looks on their faces were quite serious, so she held back the giggle about to escape her.
Biting her lower lip as she watched them approach, she finally said to Vadik when they were in ear shot of her voice, “Did you find some new friends, Vadik? Can they help us find our way home?” She was hoping a smile would cross his face as an answer to this question, but Vadik seemed to be in a serious mood. Dero just stood there quiet, waiting for what would happen next.
