Vadik put his shirt down, hearing Rowen walking into the room. She smiled to Vadik, softly grabbing his chin and lifting his face up. Inspecting his nose, Rowen frowned a little bit. "He went too harsh on you for your first time fighting. Ben should know better," Rowen mumbled. Vadik smiled, pulling Rowens hand away. "Thanks for your concern, mom, but I'll be okay." Grunting, Vadik got up, slipping on his usual daily outfit, with little help from Rowen this time. "After breakfast, we will take your measurements for armor, then you will be taught how to use Arwen, your bow," Rowen explained, like she rehearsed it. "If you'd like, between those times we can explore the surrounding woods, I can answer your questions about Narnia, and its people." Vadik smiled and nodded, slipping on his boots. "That sounds great! Mind if Derowynn comes along? Despite her reluctance to be here, she might enjoy learning about everything."
Rowen raised her eyebrow, looking confused. "Although it is not my place to ask, sir, but why do you forgive Lady Derowynn so easily? She yelled at you, called you crazy, in front of all your subjects. If someone did that to King Caspian, they would be locked up." Vadik shrugged a little. "There's two ways I can handle what happened yesterday. I can completely ignore Derowynn, and pretend she doesn't exist, or I can get over it, and forgive her for blowing up. Trust me, a few days ago I would have blown up just like her because I was so stressed out, but now my questions are finally being answered. I just hope Derowynn will relax once she actually understands." Rowen tilted her head a little bit as she listened, nodding at the end like she understood. "Let's go to breakfast, then I will show you to the armory to get your measurements."
At the dinning tent, Vadik saw Derowynn was already there. He smiled to her, sitting next to her. "Me and Rowen are going for a walk after a few things, before lunch. We wanted to know if you'd like to come. We could actually learn about these people, hear their history. I thought it'd be fun," Vadik smiled wide. "Think about it. If you wish to come, meet us here in a hour and a half." Vadik started to eat his food, talking with Caspian who was explaining one of the weirdest journeys Vadik has ever heard. He was on a ship with Edmund, Lucy, and their cousin. The cousin was turned into a dragon, and they had to fight a giant sea monster in evil mist, all because they needed to get magical swords to wake up some important people. It was all very bazar, but it was a great book idea.
After breakfast, Rowen lead Vadik to a large tent, a stocky man writing something down with charcoal and parchment. It looked like inventory. When the man saw Vadik, he instantly bowed. "My lord! How great to see you! I assume you are here to be measured!" Vadik nodded, smiling. "Fantastic! Step on this pedestal, and I will measure you!" The measuring took about thirty minutes, and the decision on what to make the armor look like took another hour, seeing as Vadik had no idea what the names of the styles were. When they were finished, Rowen and Vadik made there way back to the dinning tent to see if Derowynn actually wanted to go with them on their informational nature walk.
