Rei's switch comment caught Thierri's attention and he responded, as if by instinct, with a flippant remark of his own. "Not the only thing I know to work. Stick around and I might give you a demo." he said with a brief, somewhat lickerish grin.

He returned to a more serious disposition as he explained his explanation, "As I'm sure you all have figured out by now, this house is magical in nature. My guess is that it was created to accommodate any guests of the person who created it, but something has this place on the fritz. If the temporal magic that binds this place is damaged, who's to say that the passage of time in this mansion isn't totally different from the outside world? Minutes could equate to days. Hours to weeks. You get the idea."

Thierri ran a hand through his hand worriedly as he let the words sink in. Even though they were his own, the gravity of the situation hadn't really weighed on him until now, as if speaking them aloud made them more real than they otherwise were. To make matters worse, Iviri suddenly began to freak out when he mentioned the temporal magic. This kid was more messed up than he thought. He had planned to use the child to his own ends, but he was beginning to wonder if it was worth the hassle. He needed his help to refurbish the place, not to destroy it because of his damaged past.

The strange entity that appeared near Iviri was met with a puzzled gaze as it explained the boy's predicament. Most of what it said fell on deaf ears because Thierri wasn't particularly interested in hearing the boy's life story. "Okay, yeah. Just try to keep him from doing that and killing us all, please."

"We might as well start searching the place to see if we can find out what's corrupting it." The first place that caught his eye was the barricaded door across the room. He headed straight for it and proceeded to clear out some of the chairs that had been stacked against it. Thierri gestured toward the butler and Rei, saying, "You two. Mind helping me out with this?"

"O-Of course. Right away!" The servant nodded and hurried over to assist him.
