The deep echoing of the impact between the two ships continued to echo through the Reverence S, as sparks showered from above, and brief power fluctuations ripped through the ship. The salvo from the point defenses of the Ghost dance flashed, danced, and scintillated all across the shields of the Reverence S.

Everyone was in silence, the crew of the ship only paused briefly during the impact, and those near the bow of the ship seemed to be worse off, scrambling for EVA suits amidst the depressuring compartments within the bow.

“Tethers were ineffective, nonmagnetic hull, and there seems to be too much ice, Ma’am.”

Marlene quietly grit her teeth, as the two ships began to separate.

“Ice... I can work with ice... I’m not letting this fool get away, not in that antiquated piece of trash...”

“Increase shield and engine power! Boarding teams are to report to the port airlocks on the double” She said, calling into the intercom.

At that moment, she slammed into the manual controls, pushed the ship hard to port, while increasing engine thrust.

Marlene kept her eyes on the shield gauge, and the sections of ship where shimmering blue was slowly starting to turn orange on the display, indicating shields were beginning to deplete.

Marlene had to think quick, and buy time. “Fire foreward torpedoes, tricobalt torpedoes!” Marlene shouted, she knew that tears into subspace this close would make Slipspace travel outright dangerous, and she hoped that it would buy time for her boarding teams to reach their posts.

The ship didn’t return fire, which wasnt typical of Aschen doctrine, rather it fired two missiles from it’s intact foreward missile bays; these would accelerate rapidly roughly 150,000 kilometers, before detonating into brilliant, and massive tears into subspace. Marlene then stood from her chair.

“You have the conn... I’m boarding that ship, either alone, or with my men!”

Marlene started towards the armory, where she would acquire a combat skin, and attempt to board the vessel herself.
