Max glared lightly at Willow as she withheld half the bourbon that Winter would pour into her drink. "I'm fine, Willow. You don't need to baby me." She didn't want Willow to hold back. She wanted to forget. Honestly, she wanted to tell Willow not to worry about her tolerance level because she had a high one, but that was back before the club incident. It had been at least two years off the stuff and she was honestly surprised the drinks didn't have more of an effect on her after her fourth one. Then again, she was just getting buzzed off four low alcoholic beverages. Maybe her tolerance really was low. Still, she took the drink and took a few sips from it and then waved at Winter as he was leaving.
Max's stomach growled loudly when Willow mentioned food. She hadn't had the stomach to eat all day. Every time she had blinked she could see Dinah. That is, until the alcohol kicked in. Now she was starving and ready for any food. "I could eat," She replied. She thought for a moment, given the options and asked, "Any chance we could make pizza? Homemade pizza is honestly the best." Plus, she wasn't sure she was entirely... stable enough to go out in public at the moment. She was only buzzed, maybe even tipsy, but it was more... She wasn't sure she would run into people that she and Dinah knew. If she did, she wasn't entirely sure what would happen in her current state. They could technically order in, but where was the fun in that?
She swirled her drink around in its glass. "I called off of work... well obviously, but I figured since I asked you I might as well inform you of my situation. They said I could go back whenever." She didn't look up from her glass. Instead, she lifted it and drank another mouthful.
