"Clover will help Erika hear her music," she promised, her tail swishing eagerly. It was only a few days until Erika was released to go home, the kitten glad that they could relax there rather than try to make things work in the hospital, which was very hard considering nurses were always coming in to check on Erika and take her vitals. The kitten was all too happy to return, she hated medical facilities, especially after the run in's with the CCC. Now that she had a bit more energy, Clover wanted to try alchemy again, but since her hands didn't have the strength to hold anything, the kitten couldn't garden or even stir any sort of brew. When she tried to so much as grip a pencil, her hands shook uncontrollably, making writing nigh impossible.
Mallier came up with the idea to start pushing Clover to exercise. So everyday, she went into the room the others had used to train in order to start from square one. The hope was that she would be able to hold things, lift her arms, and perhaps be able to push herself in the wheelchair. It would take a lot of work, but Clover was willing to put the hours in. Today in particular, the kitten had an audience of Khyria and Erika, while Maple guided her sister. Mallier and Sera had gone off to find a good farm for them to move to, which Clover was ever so excited about. "Clover will do best," she said as Maple brought over the different instruments to exercise her hands and arms with. She had worked up from feather light to pencil and was now trying to grip and scrawl her name out on a piece of parchment. "There you go, keep going," Maple smiled, breathing in deeply. "You can do it," the sound of Erika's flute, an upbeat tune, was a nice accompaniment.
When Clover could no longer stand to stare at the paper any longer, Maple helped her out of her chair and onto the floor. Even if Clover wasn't actively using them, it was important to continue leg exercises so that the muscles didn't atrophy. "Come on, lift!" Maple encouraged, the kitten biting back a cry of pain. It hurt, it hurt so much and yet, Clover still pushed through, wanting to one day walk again. She rolled onto her side, turning over in order to crawl across the blue mats, her arms and legs wobbling with the weight bearing exercise. When it was over, Maple carried Clover back to her chair, the white haired kitten's legs dragging uselessly underneath her. "There you go, oh! I think Fiyero's calling me, Erika will push you, okay?" Clover nodded, watching Maple leave. Khryia too, seemed eager to go, leaving the two girls alone together.
The kitten managed to push herself forward a little, Erika finishing up her pretty tune. "Erika was very good, like always," the kitten promised with a shy smile. Since that one fateful morning before their surgeries, the girl's had yet to find a chance to be intimate again. They were either interrupted, blocked by Maple or Sera, or had other projects they were pulled away to attend to.
