Ambers listened, watching as Alec and Antheia conversed, with Zio and Wellwish seeming to support and restrain Alec at the same time. It was interesting to hear, and he noted much of the discussed condition to tell Simon later.
"Your offer may have been well-meant, but it was useless and quite stupid... I cannot be healed, nor can I allow myself to be killed - the latter is far more likely to occur." Roan decided it was best to not reply to that. "Take him and leave. My message is of dire importance. Erieda doesn't have a lot of time left."
He motioned for Antheia and Zio to follow him with a mere acceptance that Alec wasn't coming. Once they were walking and felt like they were a bit out of sight from Alec and Wellwish, Ambers would reach to bring out his canteen of water, holding the strings and letting it dangle from his hand as they walked. Of course, out of a bit of courtesy and to inform the two that the water was not poison, he drank from it first.
"Just let me know if you need water." He said to Zio and Antheia, "It takes about thirty minutes to walk there." He realized then that he hadn't introduced himself, and now that Alec was seemingly out of view and earshot, he turned his head to look at them both.
"I'm Ambers. Soldier." He said, and he looked at Zio, taking a couple seconds to gaze at his appearance and facial features. "... I respect that you took the risk to deliver the message alone for the sake of Simon's mother. I am sure he will appreciate it... and so will all of us."
Ambers looked ahead when he noticed he used Simon's name a bit informally there. He was used to using his name without the prefix of King or Prince.
He chose to focus his next moment on Antheia. "Everyone has a reason for searching out the Rebellion. Why are you? Ambers asked, but he raised a hand slightly. "If you'd like to say. Of course, you don't have to tell me anything you don't want to. I know some people's reasons are... private. Or painful."
