Then again, there was no way Mathias could fight against those demons, at least not in his current shape. The wolf took a moment to recollect himself. He could feel the anger boiling inside of him, his muscles were already beginning to burn, and his blood felt hot. Calm down Mathias...just breathe. He thought while simultaneously trying to convince himself he didn't need his wolf form to fight. Unfortunately, that was something he dind't always have a say in. The moment his eyes opened again and spotted the bigger of the two demons charging toward Verena with a raised knife, he lost all sense of control. He fell to the ground with a grunt, palms against the tiled floor, and his skin burning from inch to inch. He could hear the seams of his clothing beginning to pulls apart and new there was no point in fighting against it now. Within just seconds, every trace of human features was gone. In it's place was a large wolf standing at about five feet from the ground to the top of the head, his piercing blue eyes contrasting against the silky black fur. Without a second thought, Mathias lunged at the demon, dragging him halfway across the restaurant floor, his teeth digging deep into the creature's arm. It had been a while since he had fought a demon, and as much as he would never admit it to Vera, it felt kind of good.
