"I think he and i got off on the wrong foot." Arabelle shrugged a bit. Both her and Rowan were used to the misunderstanding. His whole life people were wrong about him, thinking that he was dangerous or just a bad person. But Arabelle knew that it wasn't true and it wasn't his fault that he gave off that vibe. Belle spent most of her life defending him, trying to convince people that he is just a teddy bear in armor. But after a while she stopped explaining and Rowan never really cared in the first place. There was some silence between the two as they continued to walk. "So this magic...does it have limits to what someone can do?" Arabelle nodded. "The limits of magic depends on the person" She said honestly. "I usually can perform most magic spells, but I can't control much power I use. Sometimes its not enough and other times it is way too much. Rowan can perform most magic spells with exact precision." She started to explain, hoping that it was making sense. "All magic has a price. The magic we usually perform doesn't do much damage. It usually just takes up a lot of energy, but the spell that I am trying to cast...isn't so simple." If the spell went her way, she was expecting to die. But she can't tell anyone that. Especially not Rowan, he would stop her.
There was silence between Rowan and Raelyn after she asked her question. It wasn't the silence itself that worried her, it was what the silence meant. It meant that the people after them were extremely dangerous. And even though it was clear that Ro was trying to keep her calm, she was still extremely worried. "Don't worry about us, we'll figure it out" That didn't make her feel better at all. In fact it freaked her out more after the two of them made eye contact. He was scared. Rae wanted to protect the magical creatures even though she knew that she couldn't. But she couldn't let them go. If they left, they would be dead for sure. "We'll make sure they have no way of connecting you and Isaiah to us before we leave. They won't hurt you." Is that what he thought? That all she cared about was her and her brother's safety? She shook her head in slight annoyance and reached out, taking hold of his hands. "But what about you? I don't want you to get hurt." She said, trying to make it clear as day that she cared about him.
