She shifted uncomfortably when she looked her up and down. Eon had the urge to run off now. Confusion filled Eon’s eyes when she spoke again. Eon found the use of the Chatter odd, but she was becoming accustomed to it. She finally let out the breath she was holding. Deciding it was the best course of action, she followed her. She did look over the woman from behind as she followed. Though, she pushed any thought of a potential love and or lust interest away. Eon wasn’t ready to walk that path a second time. The first time she had been burned, burned by hellfire. Her heart tightened at the old memories.
Her eyes stayed on her as she moved about the room. Eon watched her prepare the food and didn’t see her do anything odd to it. Although, worry still nagged at her. Eon knew she should eat whatever she was offered, but she wouldn’t. Eon felt herself shaking slightly. She ignored it for now. Eon placed her blades on the table before she put her bag between her feet. She moved her blades to her lap after. She rested her hands on them, her fingers interlocked. Her eyes returned to her, but she stared now. She stared even when the Chatter went off.
There was silence as Eon tried to breath normally. Her eyes were wide and panicked. They darted around the room quickly. She thought up of ways to escape. Eon rubbed her face with both hands as she tried to focus. She was glad that she felt cold. The last thing she wanted to do was sweat after the shower she just took. Eon shifted in her seat as she returned her gaze to her. She knew it was stupid to take her eyes off her.
“I know I shouldn’t have gotten on this ship, but you guys seemed to be avoiding Et Salvos and well, well…I-I have to avoid them,” she said in a rush. Eon had completely forgotten that she was deaf. Eon had assumed she was anyways. She remembered again how she used sign and her Chatter earlier. Her cheeks grew hot with embarrassment. Eon shifted uncomfortably again. She wrapped her arms tightly around herself as she felt herself shake harder.
“Your deaf, and I decide to speak out loud to you like an idiot,” she paused and looked at her hands. Eon realized she was speaking out loud again. A frustrated sigh escaped her lips. “I am going to die because I keep forgetting she is deaf. I wonder what her job on the ship is,” she whispered. Eon watched as her hands roam over her weapons. It calmed her. She slowly stopped shaking. Eon closed her eyes and counted to ten mentally.
“Breath,” she scolded. Eon took a deep breath and focused on taking deep and slow breaths. She leaned forward as she pulled out her Chatter from the bag. Eon tapped away on it to change the settings. She changed the settings, so words could appear in the air in front of her. After, she placed it on the table and typed away. The message read: I am avoiding Et Salvos. It seems like your ship is doing the same, so I followed.
