Diamond's eyes narrowed at the introduction of the new person. A man taller than himself, and certainly imposing. The dude looked like he could just punch a pokemon hard enough to knock it out, and not need an actual pokemon himself. Regardless, though, he withdrew a pokemon, and Diamond blinked, narrowing his eyes further as he lowered his stance slightly.

Who was this guy, and how did he know his name? At the threat of being defeated, Diamond smiled. Needless to say, the Aura Guardian was confident in his abilities as a Trainer, and confident in the pokemon that he had raised himself. The pokemon who he loved and adored with his heart and soul, raising them to be their best, and to make sure they grow strong.

"That's assuming I'm going to lose. And I don't think that's going to happen!" Diamond said. His pokemon all cried out in unison - they agreed with their trainer. "Besides, I can't very well clear this place's Aura if I run away, now can I?" he relaxed his stance, and crossed his arms.

Using his Aura, Diamond looked closer at the man before him, trying to get a read on him. "Just who are you, anyway, and how do you know me?" he asked in the process.
