Ash watched as the bits of the corpse floated down the river, looking back up to the woman who shot the buck naked man. "Well I was about to ask if he was with you, but I do believe you've answered that question to the fullest. Anyways, I am Captain Ash, pleased to make your acquaintance. My associates here are Horik, Otis, Seru, and M'Kama." Ash pointed to each of them as he spoke there names. "Oh, and ah... We picked up a worm I guess? Don't really know the full reasons for that, but ah... Yes. We have a worm."
The group, while hesitant about the newcomers with the carriage, began to take the shell boats ashore. Ash hopped out first, and Otis second, helping the others out of the boats so they didn't lose their balance. It looked for a moment that Otis might try to shove M'Kama, but M'Kama's grip fastened tightly around the boy's shirt, indicating he had no intentions of going in any direction alone.
The worm also crawled up the shore, hunkering down in a bit of shade provided by a rock, and panting heavily, as if it had some sort of breathing problem, like a dog with a flattened face.
The Captain checked his gear quick, making sure nothing got too wet. His hand made it back to the exquisite pistol that Percy had given him. Was a kind gift from Percy, too kind perhaps even. Ash silently hoped for many more long years of life for his old friend, he deserved it more than many.
