Zinnia was glad to watch Althea go. While they were not enemies, they were not exactly on good terms. Zinnia viewed Althea as a nagging Grandmother why Alty seemed to think of Zinnia as a wayward grand child that needed her guidance, even though Zinnia had never asked for it and did not want it. She shook her head, glad to be rid of the nuisance and turned back towards Yue. "No one is infallible Yue, I may be strong, but I am not without my faults." Sure, a few enemies had beaten her, but Zinnia had always beaten them back. If she hadn't, well, she would no doubt be a full angel. Zinnia fingered the end of one of her long sleeves, suddenly feeling self conscious of herself once more. She shook her head, this was not the time for that. Zinnia had other things to think and worry about.
She rose, following Yue out the door after having paid for their meal. "It is always best to prepare for the worst." They had no idea if Yue's vision would come true, or if perhaps the enemy might strike another day. They also knew not what time, only that it was while the moon was full and the witches and wizards were at their strongest. It was a shame really, that this night may be spoiled by the enemy. Zinnia, of course, would do her best to fight them off for the sake of Constantina now that she knew of the threat. She would keep her inhibitions about her, or at least try to. "We will keep a watchful eye out for them and I suspect that Blithe and Rainarch are hiding somewhere in the fold." She could sense the watchful aura of her familiar.
"You are never a pain Yue," Zinnia smiled and awkwardly took the hand of her love, giving it a light squeeze before letting their hands fall apart. Contact was not something that Zinnia was overly comfortable with, especially in public. While their kind did not mind same sex couples and were very affectionate, Zinnia had largely grown up without anyone to hug or hold her. Thus, she was awkward when it came to affairs of affection, especially public ones. "Yes, we should find a place for you to settle," it seemed Zinnia would be beside her too, at least until the costume contest began. She was glad, for the most part, that she would not have to attend the party alone. In years prior, Zinnia had always shown up late and left early. She had no friends, up until now.
Tonight was different. Tonight, she had Yue and Orie. Yuu as well, if he was allowed to have a spot of fun. Perhaps the others would be here as well, Zolair and Protea, should they be allowed to join them for the evening. "Yes," Zinnia took Yue up on the offer, assisting in setting up the table. She drew a magical circle out of crushed flower petals and set the globe in the center of it, arranging the candles meticulously around the table. "There, that should do it." There were others setting up booths, food and drink were essential to Hallow's Eve, after all. "So, what do they do in Obsidian for Hallow's Eve? What was it like?" Zinnia wanted to know, wondering if the humans even celebrated the Wicca holiday.
