A "killing game".
This thing is kidding, right?
"Hey!" the bear shouted, brandishing his claws. "Don't talk to your headmaster like that! And don't even try attacking me, buster! It's against the rules! Unless you'd like to be an example of what happens when someone breaks the rules?"
Berit resisted the urge to run up and be the one responsible for testing these "rules". It was fair to say she had not been having the best day so far.
If this bear knows what's good for him...
"A-and what rules are those, Mr. Monokuma?" a short-haired blonde girl asked loudly, twiddling her thumbs. "The rules of this, um...k-killing game?"
Monokuma grinned. "I'm glad you asked, lumberjack! Here, take these--school handbooks! They've got all the rules you need to know!"
Reaching behind him somewhere, the bear pulled out a bunch of strange little rectangles and threw them haphazardly out to the students. Berit caught two and passed one to the blonde girl--at least she was trying to get this bear to get things over with.
"And you, greenie!" Monokuma pointed accusingly at a boy with blond hair (why were there so many blonds here?) that faded into green--the one who'd called this a prank. He was with Evlo and the others earlier, wasn't he? "This isn't any old game! We're not stoppin' once the train has left the station, and lemme tell you it's long gone now! We're gonna chugga-chugga-chug on until it inevitably crashes into a brick wall and kills everyone on board!"
Meri giggled. Berit glared at him, but he didn't seem to notice.
Monokuma paused. "...Uh, metaphor got a little away from me there. But it doesn't matter--we're in a killing game, and that means if you wanna escape, you better get killing!"
Escape? That caught Berit's attention. "Pardon, but are you indeed saying we are trapped here? There is no way out, is that what you are attempting to convey?"
"Bingo, Bertha!" Monokuma declared.
Berit twitched.
"There's no way out! Wander around for miles and miles, you'll never find an escape! Unless, of course, you resort to Monokuma's World Famous Murder!"
Stuck.
...We are truly...
Stuck?
This day just kept getting better.
