Time passed by slowly as Markus spent his time staring at the computer screen and looking up locations and places that would be a good place as an extra hideout if they needed someplace to go to, just in case if their plans went south. He looked through his own emails and messages, seeing that he missed several messages from his manager. Mainly asking where he was and what happened. He rolled his eyes as he looked at the last message that she sent. If he didn't show up for work soon, he could possibly lose his job. He simply just clicked out of those tabs and began work on their plans for their grand scheme. If everything went well, it would be a dream, but with their track record, things didn't look very good. He devised some plans and fail-safe options just in case they had to make some last-minute adjustments or plans of escape. When Lucian and Markus weren't answering each other's questions, he was in his own head and his thoughts, as his eyes stayed glued to the screen. It was when he was finally done that he sat back and rubbed his eyes, he hadn't realized they began to burn from looking in one place for so long.
His attention was taken back to reality when Lucian spoke up. He didn't notice Lucian had come back downstairs, nor did he notice him walk up so close to Markus. With a small jump he shook his head as he calmed his heart rate down. "Jesus, Lucian. Don't need to sneak up on someone like that. Warn someone next time, eh?" he said with an exaggerated expression. After shaking his head he chuckled, "But I am glad to see you out of bed." he said casually. He listened as Lucian explained his plans that he had come up with and that things would be a bit different than their original course of action. It would make sense, keep Lucian out of the public eye at the event, if he goes missing and then Maelstrom appeared out of nowhere, it would raise some suspicions. But with Markus being related to no one or having any public relation to who he really was, him being at the party wouldn't be suspicious or any cause for alarm as he was easily a forgettable face. Which helped him blend in with crowds and be able to sneak out of view and be forgotten easier than someone with a public status like Lucian. He nodded his head in agreement as he bit the inside of his cheek slightly as he thought. "I think that will be for the best. And since I'm no one of celebrity level, I can blend in and raise no red flags."
Markus looked back up when Lucian offered to cook dinner for them, as he wasn't a terrible cook as well as it being a way of him saying thank you for everything. Markus simply shook his head with a small smile. "So the mighty Lucian is a cook now, eh? Tired of my rubbish cooking? I understand." he mused jokingly with a genuine smile that met his eyes. He slowly stood up and stretched as he took a deep breath. "But why not? I don't normally let guests cook in my place. But, If you're offering, why not? It could be entertaining to watch." he said with a sly grin and wink as he turned. "Just promise me one thing? Don't burn down my apartment."
