Travis internally sighed as Phoenix quickly said they had it under control, but he could tell by his tone and the way he quickly dismissed him that they, or atleast Phoenix, didnât want him there and didnât want his help. âOkay, just, be careful.â Trav said as he began walking away. Wanting to say more, try to convince him that he was here to help them, that he is as much an enemy to the Branded as they are now. But he knew at the moment his words would fall on deaf ears and that right now in the middle of an attack isnât the right time for this.
As Trav walked at a fast pace he thought about what his next move would be with all the chaos going on around him. Phoenix and Alex were some of the people who actually knew Travis before he was outed and their reactions werenât exactly fond of seeing him, he thought of maybe heading back into the woods and to stay out of sight, but then a female yelling caught his attention and his panic rose. What if itâs Rosie and sheâs in trouble? He thought to himself, before quickly picking up to a running pace and headed towards the direction he heard the screams.
It didnât take him long to get to the source of the yelling, and Travis would be lying if he said he wasnât relieved to see it wasnât Rosie, but instead a blue haired woman he had seen around Greythorne only a couple of times, a vampire if he recalled correctly. As he arrived he watched her take down a hunter, assuming she also took down the bodies around her, but he could tell she was injured. Travis began walking towards the vampire, but quickly seeing her get defensive, assuming she knew who he was. Even in her weakened state, Trav knew she could easily lunge out and fight him with her final breaths, and while she may be injured, she was still dangerous.
âWhoa, whoa. Calm down there fangs. If I wanted to attack you or kill you, I wouldâve done it at a distance.â He said holding up his hands, trying to show he didnât mean any harm to her. Travis wasnât sure why he was doing this, he should be heading back to the woods to stay safe, or looking to find Rosie, but he couldnât just leave the woman here, especially since she seemed injured. As she approached slowly he saw one of the hunterâs blades on the ground covered in blood, but noticed that it also had a layer of a poison on it specifically to combat vampires.
