Reese jolted as the door opened, her heart slamming fearfully into her ribcage. Lemonade went up her nose and she coughed, pulling away from the pitcher she'd been drinking straight out of. She hit her chest back into shape and wiped at her nose with a frown. What the hell, since when had she been so jumpy... Silvia sat beside her, towering a good half a foot or more over her head. Despite her fuming, Reese didn't hold back her smile at the image of a melting Lucie. She shuffled her knees in and rested her arms on them to hide her head behind.
"Luce's been like that ever since the orphanage," she murmured, "Everything's gone her way so far. Maybe Rhindeval will give in and revolve around her just like Earth did." Her fingers dug into her fluffy jacket and her brow furrowed. Right, Rhindeval, Justice... she'd known her longer than the orphanage, all of them, it was going to take a while to be used to that.
She stuck out the water pitcher to Silvia, not looking her way, and said very seriously,
"You can have it, but you've gotta dump it on my head too."
She straightened up and shut her eyes, awaiting her icy punishment. "So what about you, Princess Silvia," she continued abrasively, face scrunched up in preparation, "Think I'm a whiny nutjob too? Ready to brave the Evil Queen's reign of terror, no sweat? Take a few heads yourself?!" With each word, she sounded more heated. Really time for that cool off.
