Erin bitter smiled as Lucian began to vocalize his thoughts about everything. If she was being honest, she was both surprised, but entirely relieved that Lucian believed her. While she was no liar by any means, her story was far more insane sounding than she was, rarely ever did anyone believe it when she retold it. So, knowing that at least someone believed her story, caused her chest to tighten, but more so from it coming from someone she could trust. However unlikely it was. Erin was able to see what kind of person he was, however different they were, Erin saw a bit of herself in Lucian. They were both severely damaged and hurt people. Two people who had been betrayed and hurt time and time again by others. It was an oddly calming thing. To know she wasn't alone. Sure, she had Markus but, having someone else? It just gave her that extra bit of reassurance that she hadn't entirely lost the plot. Well, any more than she already had.
She looked back at Lucian, pausing for a moment as she let him speak, waiting until he was entirely done. A small, bitter chuckle escaped her lips as Lucian bumped her foot with his. Erin blinked a bit as she looked down, and then back up at him, "I'd like to say that's not true but, ya know...Least it's been a while since I had any. Being sober is weird but, not like it lasts long anyway." she shrugged a bit , "Increased regenerative powers and all." Erin joked.
Her eyes glanced around the room for a moment, biting her lip, "This is oddly the most clear headed I've been...In a long time but, for what it's worth? I'm sorry.." Erin glanced back over at Lucian, About your experiences and everything, I mean. I know we didn't experience the same but, I can only imagine...I'm so sorry..." Erin let out a sigh, before laying her back against the floor again, looking up at the ceiling.
"As for what's going on in my head?" she started, before looking back at Lucian, a large grin forming on her face, "You really don't want to know, trust me. Having another voice that's in your head all the time? Knowing that fragmented parts of your brain, one is a voice of reason, and the other is entirely fucking insane?" Erin said with a chuckle shaking her head. "It's fucking exhausting. I'll tell you that much, right away." Erin let out a sigh once more, after taking a heavy breath in, then letting it out slowly. Closing her eyes for a moment, then opening them once more. "We really should get some sleep...Or at least try to...Tomorrow's...Well, it's gonna be shit, just lemme say that right off the bat..."
