Willow released Cassie a bit abruptly, her embarrassment evident. Had she held the girl up for too long? Guilt plunged through her heart at the sight of Cassie’s obvious discomfort, and it skyrocketed as the other woman mentioned her head pains. Despite Eloise’s reassurances - there was definite surprise over the fact that Eloise was attempting to calm her worries - Willow couldn’t help but feel bad. It was an accident, but it was still her fault. Before she could apologize any further or offer any help, Cassie had said goodbye and left, undoubtedly off to find a good place to rest.
Almost immediately afterwards, the younger students with them - a blond girl and one with pink hair lighter than Willow's - tottered off to do who-knew what, and Willow rung her hands a bit as she watched them go, unable to get over unintentionally hurting Cassie. She hoped she was okay.
A bit upset over the exchange, Willow sighed and tugged at a lock of her hair. Ms. Evers disappeared, surely intent on readying for her story-telling, so that left her alone with Eloise, someone that despite them being in the same year and sharing a lot of the same classes, she wasn’t particularly close with. Well, she did try to make me feel better about Cassie. Maybe she isn’t that bad?
At that thought, Willow turned her ever-present smile on Eloise, seemingly back to her normal, chipper self.
”Well, I for one want to get some food and watch Ms. Evers story-telling. If you want, you could join me - who knows, maybe it’ll make this day a little less shit despite you being shoved into a dress?” she laughed out, having noticed the other girl’s blatant discomfort in the clothing. ”I know we aren’t really friends, but that doesn’t mean we can’t become them.”
With the offer out there, Willow turned and approached a nearby food stall that was selling delicious smelling Funnel Cakes. After ordering two with powdered sugar, she paid and went back to Eloise, offering her one. ”Eat it while it’s hot - don’t worry, I don’t think anyone will care,” she teased, glancing down at the girl’s dress pointedly.
