Maintaining position just beyond the swirling clouds the murder of harpies waited as time passed, rain battering their backs as wind swept their feathers one way and the next. Off and slightly away from his followers, Visar maintained his position, arms crossed across his chest as his eyes were closed, feeling the wind sweep around him and push his feathers about and ripple across them. He focused on the pushing and pulling winds as he maintained position. Eye blinking open as he looked higher into the swirling gray of the clouds before looking down once more. "Raven! Scout below the cloud cover and tell me what can be seen!"

Raven looked up from checking his bow and nodded, slinging the weapon over his back as he rolled and let the wind fill his wins, ridding it down as he fell the the spiraling "floor" of the clouds to be exposed outside. He flapped three great spans as he corrected himself and fanned his wings out to catch the air, soaring high and fast over the battlefield, eyes gazing down below as the pass was still filled with the mist, though it seemed to clear apart in some locations. His eyes jerked up to above the pass as he noticed movement. Spotting the Nightmarians as they clashed with another foe, magic flying from their hands in great gouts of flame. His brow furrowed as his head craned up, body shifting to follow as his wings beat once more to fly up into the clouds, moving back to where the others waited, his pace quickening for a moment, raising him up before he fell back into rhythm to remain motionless in the air. "The pass is still blocked! But there is fighting along the tops of the pass! Some Mud Kissers, with emblems I have never seen, are slaughtering the Nightmarians!"

The others muttered as Hawk slowed his wing beats to dip just under the clouds, vanishing for but a moment before he reappeared not far off and flying back to them. "He speaks truth Visar! They are using magic on the Nightmarians, what should we do?"

Their leader frowned and maintained his position, looking up as moisture and rain hit his face and feathers. He looked back over at them and dipped a wing to take his bow, "I'm not fond of helping those Insect Lovers as much as the next Harpy, but if they remove the threat from there, who isn't to say they will set their sights higher? Besides, I think there is a slight chill in this rain, what do you say Hawk?"

Hawk smiled and looked over his shoulder to Falcon and Finch, who stayed close behind him. The three Bardic Harpies nodded as their own feet still clutched their short bows. "I hear rainy conditions get dangerous when it is cold! Something about rain turning to hail!"

Visar looked at them with interest, "Fortunately we are flying too high for it to be a problem! But what about those poor Mud Kissers on the top of the ridge! What does their forecast say?"

Hawk shrugged, "The weather here has been known to get... out of hand! Said to change on split second terms this high up!"

Their leader drew his first arrow, this one from one of the quivers at his side, his fingers gripping the shaft tightly as he pointed the head at his Bards, "I think it works in out favor!" The men laughed as they readied their bow and arrows as Hawk and the other two raised their hands, fists clenching as their smallest talon rose and dipped before they interlocked their first talons and pushed outwards. The heads of the drawn arrows, and all the heads in the quivers, shimmered as an enchantment of ice fell over them like a skin, freezing an edge as sharp as a dagger over the head. He looked at the arrow and then Nocked it in his bow, puling it to half-draw as he laughed, "Lets show these Mud Kissers the dangers of hail!"

His wings alighted before he stretched them wide and flipped over, spinning down through the could cover before rolling around till the current caught his wings like sails. Beating his wings to draw close to the clouds above he swept far to the right hand side, circling around as his bow raised up, his eye looking at the figures fighting on top of the pass, his fingers drawing the arrow to full draw as his men swooped in behind him. "Loose as you pass over head! Full Draw for the first arrow! Half draw and fire as you will after!" His men followed the command as he felt the wing on his feathers, adjusting until he would fly overhead, his bow and arrow ready as it happened, his eye scanning out before he released the string with a twang. The arrow streaking almost strait down as it cut across the fabric of one of the White Robes.

He took up as second arrow and nocked it, turning about as his men flew over then, their own arrows lancing towards the ground. Now this was a fight.
