Visar rolled and wheeled up into the sky as the white cloaks returned fire, the shrieks of his murder warned him their focus had changed views. Wings beat heavily as his voice whipped out into the stormy air, "Retreat! Retreat to the clouds!" As his voice called out he became aware of the silence head moving around until his single eye caught sight of a looming shape and shadow. His indigo eye blinked as he rubbed at it with the back of a taloned hand, uncertain if his one eye was playing tricks on him. As he stopped to hover he heard a voice that sounded very much like his own as it only whispered into the wind and was consumed. "By the Female's Nest and Tempest's Ferocity..." He seemed too stunned as the dragon flew in but in the back of his mind he began to register its head was reeling back to unleash a terrible power no one had seen in many, many years. "Fire! Fire! Evasive maneuvers! Now Damn It!" His body wheeled and turned rolling with the wind as he shot passed his stunned group, a few recovering from what they saw to follow, spinning and flying as hard as their wings could carry them.

Hawk, Raven, Finch and Falcon were close behind their leader as Raven glanced back to call out to those that struggled to orient themselves in the storm. As he turned to shout he saw the jet of flames consume the pass beneath before it began to streak high into the air, his eyes watching as their murder was there in one moment and ash in the next, the heat scorching his face from the distance as flames rolled through the sky, vaporizing rain into steam in an instant as it drew closer. His body screamed a solitary cry as he spun higher into the clouds, his hand tearing at the shoulder of the others as he rose, uncaring as they cut and ripped through flesh and drew blood. They all climbed into the sky, buried by clouds as everything behind them began to vanish in the wall of burning fire.

Then it met them.

Silence enveloped the sky of the last harpies as wing beats grew silent. Though those that fled weren't fortunate to have death embrace them as their scorched frames began to plummet from the sky, wind buffering and dragging them about as they suddenly broke cloud cover, smoke trailing from their smoldering feathers as they fell well behind the pass to the ground. Their weapons useless as what little arrows that remained seemed stuck to the inside of charred quivers. They fell without moving or speaking, bodies unconscious from the sudden consuming flame that stole away their breath.

Visar's eye blinked open as he saw the ground above hims and the sky below. His head hurt as his whole body was scorched with minor and major burns. His wings were still on his body but they hurt to move. Looking up at the ground coming to meet him he didn't have the luxury of not flying. Rolling around as best he could, he fanned his wings out against the intense pain from ever little movement his flapping produced. His body stretching out as his lone leg and taloned foot stretched ready to hit the earth and slow and stop his fall.

His foot hit the ground but his momentum didn't break, carrying him up and over as what little ammunition and weapons were stripped from him save his armor. Coughing as he stared up at the sky he watched the struggling forms of those left as they made similar crash landings all across the region. His head rocked one way and the next, the pass barely seen far away in some direction he couldn't identify, away from that night mare. At that point, he didn't give a damn as he closed his remaining eye and let darkness take him again, his breath slowly rising and falling as his mind slipped away from the present.

Dracon's head snapped up from where he sat at the edge of Gaol. Few had approached him since his arrival, just a bit late of the main forces moving. None bothered him, so he didn't do anything as well. In fact, his position still sat his right foot in the back of the Orc as he sat on the headless body, arms resting at his side as his right hand twirled one of his two sickle blades. The sun had advanced while he waited and it gleamed far further from the morning to somewhere past noon. Time wasn't what he worried about.

Now his head looked towards the Pass, the information he gleaned from one of the terrified goblins after he looked at the wretched beast. As he watched his body quivered before rising slowly, ripping his taloned foot from the back with a sickening pop and sucking noise as he turned his back from the camp. His hands replacing his blades as each foot was slowly put in front of the other, walking in the direction of the pace with no particular hurry but a casual walk, as if sauntering through a flower filled meadow in some peaceful place and time.

Though his eyes gleamed red and drank in blood and chaos as a new glow seemed to fill him as he walked.

As he walked...
