How long has this 'master' of yours known you? I've been trying to protect you since I met you, it's just that thanks to his puppets," he spat the word, "I nearly got relieved of that duty. Permanently," he muttered, eyes darkening for a split second.
"Bridget," his tone was gentle, "can't you see he's manipulating you? Think about your friends, Lora and Adeline, they're being manipulated, too. Look at them! They're just sitting there like mindless puppets because of him! Doesn't it upset you that your friends are being treated like dirt? It would upset me, that's for sure! And it upsets me that your friends are being treated like that and you're just standing by and watching. Fight back, Bridget! Think on your own!"

Kayl held up his hands as if to pass the decision to fight or not to Bridget and took a half step toward her, his eyes mixed with concern, pity, and a dash of unhappiness.
