A 16-member team consisting of 4 journalists, 1 driver and a guide who were taking part in a scientific expedition in western China are stranded on a small island 5,000 metres above sea level in Tibet.
The group is facing a severe shortage of drinking water because supply trucks trying to reach them was stuck in mud on the way on Saturday morning, sources with the sponsor of the expeditions told China Daily in a telephone interview Sunday.

If it would be okay, I'd like to join as an "extra character." More specifically, as a monk who is on a spiritual journey. Here's the details:
Name: Li Xi-Tien (Xi-Tien being the firstname, with everyone just calling him Tien)
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Asiatic
Appearance: He stands 5' 7", with brown eyes and no hair. He has the stocky, muscled build of a wrestler or serious martial artist. He is wearing a casual orange/tan Gi, with a blue shirt and black boots.
Personality: Xi-Tien is very personable, not very much like the traditional view of a silent monk. Rather, he likes to talk, and will talk to just about anyone about anything. He never seems to take anything too seriously, although deep down he really is serious.
Background: Given to the local monks by his parents at birth, he has been taught the ways of the monk since he was two. Although he is constantly being reprimanded for not taking things seriously enough, he never lost his happy, devil-may-care demeanor.
So, oh mighty ruler of this world... may I join?
