The Runners (OOC)

In a world much like our own, Clara Faith and her Runners were legends amongs theives and hellhounds to the fuzz. They were the most precise burglers known in the city could steal anything. People feared and admired them. But little was known about the Runners, like that in truth, it was sanctuary. Clara Faith started her group to protect its members, the so called freaks of nature. All Runners have powers, some were born with it others developed them or obtained them. The Sight, a breed of seeing magic that has many varietys, is the more common ability of these foundlings while others have more abstract powers. Clara's goal had been to find these misfits and shelter them before they were found by those with far less kindness. As for the stealing, well, no one was going to fund an illegal project now were they? And the government's corrupt anyway. Clara's long gone now, but her Runners remain and thrive. They find they're own kind, recruite and train them. Make them one of their own. Most are rather young. Where will you start? As an existing Runner or as one that's yet to be found?

Pyrokinesis: Artemis possesses the ability to control and manipulate fire. She is capable of spontaneous combustion, enabling her to envelop her whole body in a fiery plasma (much like the human torch) without retaining any bodily harm. She can create flames at will- merely looking an object can send it up in flames- and just as easily, she can extinguish a flame. Ironically, she is cold to the touch and has a body temperature way lower than that of a normal human.

Cryokinesis: Freddie possesses the ability to freeze objects which allows him to reduce the temperature of matter at will. He is capable of freezing human beings as well as inanimate objects. When using his power, Freddie appears to absorb the heat from an individual instead of emitting cold, though he is able to create small amounts of ice. Also, while he is able to create sub-zero temperatures, much in the same manner as his sister, his body temperature is much higher than that of a normal human and he is hot to the touch.

Born on June 21, in the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts as the children of a marketing assistant and his high school sweetheart. They have been inseparable since birth, complimenting each other perfectly. They were thought to be very odd as children, as their body temperatures were unusually low and high (Artemis and Freddie, respectively), and they were often outcast as freaks. Besides their strange body temperatures, there was nothing readily strange about them. However that all changed on their 12th birthday.

As they played a game of tag with the few that had accepted the invitation to their party, Artemis suddenly burst into flames. She continued running, however, oblivious to the change that had taken place. She burned everything in her immediate path, scorching the grass beneath her feet, and nearly igniting her house. Freddie, knowing inherently what to do, stepped in his sister's way and absorbed all of the heat radiating off of her. Realizing just a little too late of the damage she had caused, Artemis fled from the scene. Their parents looked on in shock and disgust at Freddie, realizing that both of their children were freaks, and went so far as to disown him completely. Coming to the conclusion that he and his sister would be better off away from the city.

It was several days before they were together again. They were reunited in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town, and stayed there for almost a year, until they were discovered by some contractors hired to demolish the place. Fearing that they would be taken to a place more horrible than they could imagine, they ran. That was the first and last time they stayed in any one place for more than a few months at a time. They survived by stealing what they could get their hands on, sometimes selling what they stole for more than what they knew it was worth. They change their appearances with each new 'home', adopting a completely different life.


Is this good? Should I change some things?

Good, two characters are fine. I just thought of the idea, but I need to get a character sheet of my own. Bring friends, this little RP might need some help.
