Humans, History and Factions

In the year 2250 Humanity finally achieved the ability to travel to other star systems and begin their expansion into space. As the human race colonized their local planets and learned more about the universe they were soon able to colonize harsher and farther distance habitats. With the ever expanding scope of the universe, humanity eventually came into contact with another intelligent species. In 3102 they came into contact with an alien race known as the Demons. The next year they lost a research outpost known as Eden Prime and blamed the Demons for this offense, sparking the start of the Black Mass Wars. After a few decades humanity was on the loosing front of the war with the Demons when in 3134 another mysterious species known as Angels appeared and offered humanity aid in their endeavor. Now the war is more evenly matched, but there is still unrest in the human politics. Tension and mistrust plague the human population over the Angels and their occupation of what is known as Enclave Worlds where Angels govern the human residents. But so far the Demonic threat is overshadowing this doubt.


Factions
United Planetary Alliance Core: The base of all human politics is the UPAC, which governs the majority of human populated worlds and runs the military campaigns.

Order of Celestial Templars: The religious devoted humans who embrace the Angels as their superiors and pastors of their faith.

Black Legions: Warlike anti-religious fanatics who have aligned with the Demonic presence and fights for their will and are rumored to be nothing more than terrorists.
