"uhm. Riki, that won't work with him, as Appare said." Keru had snapped almost instantly out of his puppy mode, and was back to normal, his eyes back to their fiery red. "There is no way that Kale would try... I just hope they don't go where I think he was gonna take them. Cuz even he is not stupid enough to take her to the roof... What if... Does he even know about the corridor? It would make sense, since he is never around when he can be gone... but there? Even I get chills" Keru continued mumbling about the Forbidden Corridor.

The Forbidden Corridor was built as an addition to the basement dungeon of the school. The Founder of the school had it built to put the ancient evil in the room of sealing, and up until now the corridor had remained a secret. Could Kale possibly know about it? Could he possibly had been there before? All these ideas were running through his head faster than almost anything before.

"Kale... just what do you know...?"

"Uhm. Riki, that won't work with him, as Appare said." Keru had said to her. " I don't care I still need to try, theirs no way I'm being teachers meat today ok." Riki mumbled to Keru. She turned her face angrliy to Kale direction "As I said Kale your not going anywhere but the class room you hear!"Riki yelled angrily. "He's not so tough after al"l!" Riki smirked at her thought." The teacher is going to send another person if we don't hury!" Riki mumbled impatiently. " Come on let's just go already!"

(I'll post which character I am posting as inbetween tildes at the beginning from now on)
~Keru~
"Eh, I'm up for a game of cat and mouse. But tell me first, Riki..." Keru suddenly developed a serious and deeper voice as he grabbed the girl by the wrist gently. "Have you heard of the Gray Corridor? Or the Forbidden Corridor? Some students have even called it the Death Hallway. you see, I ask because there is a chance that Kale found it, and that's the spot that he was talking about with Appare. The thing is, that place is ten times more dangerous than the roof with the demon crows, and all the creatures in the forest put together..." Keru spoke his mind, knowing that Riki was itching to go, but he felt she needed to be warned. Not out of weakness, but out of the startling experience that occurs there.

Keru's eyes got deeper in a serious way, when talking about death hallway. And of course Riki listened because she was curious."What!? Kale can't take her their I won't allow it!" Riki yelled, now Riki was really angriy "she thought she just made her first friend and Kale just had to try and take her away from me, thats not going to happen bude just try it and see what happens!" Riki thought about evil plans and traps for Kale in her mind as she cracked her knuckles and muttered strange noises.

~Keru~
Keru laid his hand on Riki's shoulder, "You should try lowering your negative energy. It's really messing with your head. If you wanna do something, we can go check the Corridor. Although, it could be just as probable he took her back to the male dorm... Speaking of which, I wonder who poor unfortunate souls of roommates are..."

~Despair~
"Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme.... Remember me to one who lives their... she once was, a true love of mine," A boy with monotone being, and dark wings sang as he stroked the pendant around his neck. He sat, legs curled up to his chest, and back against a curved gray wall that wrapped around the entire area, almost like a cylinder.
"Tell her to make me a cambric shirt.... Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.... without no seams nor needlework... then she'll be a true love of me..." The boy continued singing, in a beautiful voice that almost filled in the fact that he was singing with no accompaniment.
"Tell her to find me an acre of land... parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme..." the boy pulled a knife out of the pendant, "between the salt water and the sea strand..." the boy then pricked his wrist with the knife, a single drop of blood came down and shattered into blue light. "...then she'll be, a true love of mine..."
The light traveled the corridor, providing the only source of color. As it traveled it lost it's color, and the wound on the boys wrist healed. The energy disintegrated, and the boy curled his wings around him.
"Are you going to Scarborough fair..."

Walking slowly waiting for Appare to catch up to him. As soon as she got near to him she threw her hands against the wall an breathed deeply in his ear. A shudder swam down his spine and he liked it. "Okay Kale, that wasn't nice for you was that? You can't just run up and pin people to walls. It's creepy." Her face relaxed a bit. "I am not following you to the roof. I know there are demon crows up there, and by the way I can probably handle them. I'm half cat half bird. Either way, peaceful or violent, I can deal with crows." She took a small step back an linked her arm with him again. "I've never had a Redbull before, if you can believe that. So where do you want to go? Besides places that might kill me."

Kale laughed softly. "We're going to the roof." He said turning his head around to look at the two behind them. "I have an understanding with the crows. They don't give me crap and I don't eat them." Turning back to his locker Kale pulled out a black candle. "First we need to get rid of those two behind us. I hate that girl. Always trying to be cool, disgusting. Power comes naturally, it's not something that you can force to happen." Pulling Appare with him Kale walked up the staircase and opened the door. "They don't want us up here yet they leave the door open?" He says scowling. Taking a step outside he sets the candle by the door and sits on the edge of the roof and proceeds to drink a can of Redbull. Tossing the empty can down below he lays back and motions for Appare to join him. "Maybe this time I can do what I wanted without an interruption." He thinks allowing his aura to expand from the confines of his body.

"I have an understanding with the crows. They don't give me crap and I don't eat them." Of course. That's just what I'd expect from someone like Kale. How do I know if he won't abandon me up there with them? But whatever. As I said, I can handle crows.

"First we need to get rid of those two behind us. I hate that girl. Always trying to be cool, disgusting. Power comes naturally, it's not something that you can force to happen." Appare frowned. "Hey Kale, don't be mean! Keru's my friend and that girl seems to be nice." she said dissaprovingly.

But Appare marveled at how nice Kale was suddenly being. Why would he want to hang out all of a sudden? On the way to the stairs she unknowingly stared at him, lost in thought. I wonder what Kale would look like without any hair....? Appare saw the mental image, and snickered under her breath. A shiny bald head with all of the confidence of a handsome bully.

The sound of a door opening interrupted her thoughts. The neko gazed out at the view. "Oh it's so pretty! What a nice view!" It was the perfect place to look over the forest; picture perfect. Appare looked over to see Kale toss an empty bottle of Redbull over the roof and gesture for her to join him.

She trotted over, and sat down next to him with her legs dangling and arms propping her up. "Litter bug. You could've hit somebody down there.'' Appare smiled, and was about to say something else when she noticed Kale's aura. What was he planning...?

"You should try lowering your negative energy. It's really messing with your head. If you wanna do something, we can go check the Corridor. Keru suggestied. "Ok let's go, what are we waiting for? Come on." Riki said pulling his arm a little." So what way?" Riki said while she paused in steps waiting for Keru to lead thinking that he knew the way. "Keru was right I should lower my negative energy I'm getting a big headache." Riki thought while rubbing her head thinking that would make the pain go away ,but it did'nt so she cosentrated on lowering her negetive energy. It worked a little bit but there was still pain ringing through her head.

~Keru~
Keru turned back on the flirt, tenderly grabbing her hand, "then let's go, Riki."
Keru started leading her to the forbidden corridor, slowly absorbing her negative energy through her hand.
---/--- They made their way to the corridor, stopping at the door. "now there's something you should know about the corridor....

As he threw the can he heard Appare "Litter bug. You could've hit somebody down there.'' Rolling his eyes Kale allowed his aura to expand even more before he pulled it back into his body. "I hate keeping myself cooped up in this place." He said slamming another can. "I really hate this place. There are too many people that try to be better than they are. Everyone needs to just accept their place and live with it." Tossing the empty can onto the ground below Kale sat up and glanced at Appare. He rubbed his hair back and looked at her full on. "Normally I wouldn't talk this way with anyone other than a senior but something." He pauses and licks his lips hungrily. "But something about you seems to draw me in. I can't help but feel like you're somehow important to me." Kale looks back at the ground watching as trees sway in the breeze. "I figure that there are several things that could cause this but none of them seem rational, so as far as I'm concerned if you don't feel the same you should find a new guide." With that he put his hand on Appare's cheek and pulled her face to his and he kissed her.

... All who go in it see te world as it really is, and people as they really are. There are no secrets in the Gray Corridor. Are you still willing to go in?" Just then, Keru heard something and whipped his head towards the door. He instinctively put Riki behind him. "Willing or not, we must go in now. I sense agony." Keru moved his hand to the door handle.

~Despair~
"Hm. It seems someone has come. Looks like my peace and quiet time is over". And with that he disapeared in a flurry of black feathers. He reapeared on his bed in the guys dorm. "maybe I'll catch a few minutes of shut eye" he thought aloud.
He drifted off into a deep sleep.

~Keru~
Keru stopped, his hand still on the doorknob. "it's gone. There is no presence beyond the door anymore."
"this is annoying. Kale, the fuck did you take appare!" Keru felt flustered. He wasn't sure, but he felt overly protective of her, even more so than any of the other girls that he took chivalry over.
Keru's eyes turned a startling blue as his entire body become highlighted in blue light. "I promised I wouldn't use this power within the school, or for personal gain, but now is the time for it."Keru paused as the light lifted him off the ground. The light all moved into of sphere shape around Keru's heart, then moved to his headwhere it disappeared, leaving his eyes the only remnant if the light. "Soul Search," he uttered as a ring of blue energy moved out from his forehead and surrounded the entire school, registering every soul that resided in it. "Luckily, Kale and Appare's souls are easy to track. Kale's being linked with many others, and Appare's being a Neko soul." the ring bounced back to his head as he closed his eyes. When he opened them, they were a deep scarlet once more.
"you ready to go find them? They are back on the roof, despite Appare's revolting. Kale does know how to get what he wants."

"I really hate this place. There are too many people that try to be better than they are. Everyone needs to just accept their place and live with it." Appare looked at Kale with interest. "You know, I've never really heard anybody say something like that before. It seems all the adults keep on pushing us and pushing us to be something we aren't." Appare sighed. "Well that's my theory anyway. I think that you should be excepted as you really are, without having to change yourself."

"Normally I wouldn't talk this way with anyone other than a senior but something." Appare was feeling really content at the moment. She had probably just made a snap judgement on Kale, and on the inside he was a nice person. And now, she had another friend to add to her list. But there was something about the way Kale was looking at her.... Like she was a piece of meat. Low life guys had sometimes looked at her that way, and it had been happening more and more recently. "But something about you seems to draw me in. I can't help but feel like you're somehow important to me."

Appare's eyes widened. Ba-dum Ba-dum She could hear her heartbeat growing louder and louder. Was he serious? Kale- the bully who even the teachers were scared of. The neko stopped swinging her legs, suddenly feeling very weak. She smiled weakly. "What... what are you saying?"

"I figure that there are several things that could cause this but none of them seem rational, so as far as I'm concerned if you don't feel the same you should find a new guide." Okay, by now Appare was pretty certain of what was going on. She was opening her mouth to respond when suddenly that mouth was on Kale's.

Appare instantly froze up, taken completely by surprise. What!? What!? Thought's raced through her head in a jumbled mess.

Finally this kiss ended with a soft parting of lips. Appare just sat there, staring at Kale. She blinked, then stumbled backwards nearly falling off the roof. Appare's face was glowing scarlet, and she slapped her hands to her mouth. Her voice was a strange mix of uncertainty, horror, astonishment, and curiousity. "You.... you.... you...." Appare swallowed, her body trembling. But the whole time her eyes were locked on Kale. "I-DON'T-KNOW-WHAT-TO-THINK-KALE-COUSLAND-YOU-CONFUSE-ME!" And with that, Appare bolted for the door. Before she swung it closed she screamed out again. "THAT WAS MY FIRST KISS YOU MORON!"

And then Appare ran. Her mind was stunned, overwhelmed with what just happened. The neko stumbled a few times, but managed to just keep going. Eventually Appare ran into a wall and she slammed against it. For some reason the neko was sobbing, tears streaming down her face. Appare slowly slid down the wall, before curling up into a little ball against it. Her arms wrapped around her knees.

Numbly, all Appare could think about was the time her mother had given her a talk about crying....

"You know, sweety, that people don't just cry when they're sad. They can cry when they're happy, angry, or just because. You know why? It's because crying isn't related to emotions at all. People cry when they're overwhelmed."

Appare managed to smile, and sniffed. That's it. She was just overwhelmed, that's all. The neko slowly relaxed, but stayed in her position. Jeez... you'd think that Kale came on to me or something... Although the flood was stopping, tears still slowly dripped down Appare's face and landed with little plips on the academy floor. It's okay, it's okay Appare calm down.... He just kissed you, that's all. It's not like he asked you to marry him.... Appare hiccupped and sobbed some more. I can't stop crying.... The neko attempted to summon some anger towards Kale that might give her some backbone, but she could't find any. That's because I'm the one who's overreacting.... Kissing is probably as natural to him as breathing. What he said wasn't that important to him....

Appare's muscles relaxed even more. Yeah... that's it.... Eyes swollen from crying began to shut. In seconds, Appare was curled up; sound asleep.

Tenderly grabbing her hand, "then let's go, Riki." Keru said. Riki blushed a little when she felt his gentle hand touch her's.They made their way to the corridor, stopping at the door. "Now there's something you should know about the corridor,All who go in it see the world as it really is, and people as they really are. There are no secrets in the Gray Corridor. After the kiss ended Kale looked back over the edge of the building. "I-DON'T-KNOW-WHAT-TO-THINK-KALE-COUSLAND-YOU-CONFUSE-ME!" Kale laughed at this slightly spitting over the edge he heard Appare run to the door. Hearing it open he turned his head towards the door. "THAT WAS MY FIRST KISS YOU MORON!" With that She slammed the door. Once she was out of sight Kale began to laugh loudly. "AHAHA Wonderful!" He said almost falling off the roof. "This is perfect. Maybe I should go check see if I can get a new shadow now." He thought aloud looking at the ground below. Standing Kale backed his heels against the roof and jumped backwards slightly. As he fell a few feet he grabbed out and caught hold of a window ledge. Pulling himself up a bit he knocked on the window. A teacher opened the window and stared at him wide-eyed as he pulled himself through dusting himself off as he walked through the door. Stepping into the hall he glanced at a clock and sighed, "Seriously I have another 30 minutes of this shit?"


Walking through the hall Kale looked into classrooms. A few people he knew waved at him, several girls that liked him smiled and blushed. Walking back to his locker Kale opens it and pulls out a can of red spray paint. Slipping it into his pocket he walks slowly back to the roof. Allowing his aura to expand again Kale stretches and feels another presence nearby. Turning around Kale looks at the ground. Sighing softly he walks over to the sleeping Appare. Nudging her gently with his foot he steps back and waits for a reaction.

Appare squirmed when she felt a faint pressure against her ribs. She mumbled something, then opened her eyes. Appare sat up, rubbing the back of her head. She spotted Kale, and nodded in his general direction. "Wha....? Oh, hey Kale...." With a jolt, memories of earlier flooded into her mind."EH!?" Appare stumbled backwards, hissing in such a way that would make any cat proud. She lay there for a seconds. Appare wondered while she felt nothing. Nothing at all. It was as if all her emotions drained out with the tears, and her shock just used up her most recent supply. The neko sat up, and mechanically clanked over to Kale.

"Before we continue our relationship, Cousland, I would like to get some facts straight with you." Appare held up one hand with one finger, her other hand on her hip. her eyes were indifferent, yet with a steely edge. "Firstly, I don't want you pulling another stunt like that. Ever. I realize it was a plot to get rid of me, and that ain't gonna happen bucko. Any more sexual harrassment and you will wake up one day bald." Appare held up another finger. "Do not anything else to try to get rid of me again. I wan't to be able to hang out and have fun with you without worrying if you poisoned my lemonade or something stupid like that. Lastly-" A third finger. "I expect you to pay for stealing my first kiss somehow. Even if I have to sell your hair on Ebay, you will be paying for it. That is all."

~Keru~
"Let's go!" Keru ran off with Riki's hand in his, not truelly registering that he did. He ran up to the class corridor, and came to the spot in the hall where Kale was nudging Appare on the ground and now was giving a 'talking' to kale. Knowing kale would not appreciate that, And seeing only the kicking her on the ground before she stood up, he sprung into instinctual action.
"Gate open!" Keru said under his breath, and Appare, Riki, and He disappeared from the hallway in a flury of black and red sparks.

The three ended up in a deep part of the forest where the green of the trees turned to a jet black.
"Appare, are you okay?! What was that jerk doing to you?" Keru snarled at the mere mention of the a-fore-mentioned Jerk. "I swear, if he ever touches you again I'll... I'll" He turned his face away from appare as his eyes glew to a repulsing shade of red to the point where you couldn't tell his eyes had whites or pupils. "I... I can't even fathom..."

"Let's go!" Keru said while holding hands so she could keep up. They came to the class corridor and there they saw Kale kicking Appare! Just as about she was going to run over there and kick Kale to see how he likes it and say " Take that, and that!" she disappeared from the hallway in a flury of black and red sparks. "What the hell is going on!" she screamed but just as she finshed her sentence the three ended up in a deep part of the forest where the green of the trees turned to a jet black. " Oh good are not swllowed by a black hole." Riki said camly while sitting down on a rock.

Appare sat up and looked at Kale. She seemed different her face had a glint to it. "I made another one cry? Good, I suppose I'm just a regular Don Juan" He thought remembering all the girls he had rejected over the years. They still tried but he showed no interest hoping they would leave him alone. "Before we continue our relationship, Cousland, I would like to get some facts straight with you." She held up a finger. "Oh god don't do fingers. He thought bitterly turning away from her. "first kiss?" He thought slyly. "If that was her first kiss I wonder what else would be new to her. Kale though laughing inside his head.

Turning around Kale shook his head. "I really don't care about my hair it's dead anyway." He said calmly. Hearing footsteps Kale turned to see the boy that kept butting into to his growing relationship. "I hate that child." He muttered. Without warning the boy disappeared in a cloud of sparks. Turning to Appare Kale noticed she was gone to the same cloud lingering in her place. "I really hate that child." He said loudly. Shaking his head Kale looked at a clock in the hall. "Another 20 minutes of this shit?" He asked aloud. walking to a window Kale opened it and reached out. His aura extended from his hand and began to flow in the direction of the woods a few miles from school. "Glad I decided I liked his taste." He muttered. Pulling his aura back into his body Kale noticed a tree a few feet below the window. Getting onto the ledge Kale jumped to the tree missing the first branch and crashing down the rest of the tree. "Well that hurt." He muttered standing up.

Looking around Kale walked over to the class parking lot. Seeing a senior parking his car Kale walked over to him. "Jackson give me your keys." He said his voice low. "sure man." Jackson said handing him the keys. As Kale started the car back up Jackson leaned in the open window. "You're comin to the game tonight right?" He asked a grin on his face. "Kale looked at him and gave him a genuine smile. "Of course bro. I'd love to see you get trampled today." Jackson laughed as Kale drove away towards the woods.

(GAH SO MUCH TYPING!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Turning around Kale shook his head. "I really don't care about my hair it's dead anyway." A sneaky grin spread across Appare's face. "Well that just means that it won't grow back. You can say goodbye to your womanizing days..." She heard footsteps a little sooner than Kale, thanks to her finely tuned hearing. Appare turned, and her face lit up. "Keru...!" But as she was saying the words, a black and red wave of energy washed over the neko. Suddenly, two things happened. She was in a forest.

And feeling very sick.

Appare staggered, her mind just registering what happened. "Appare, are you okay?! What was that jerk doing to you?" She smiled weakly, her hands on her knees. "He wasn't doing anything...." Everything blurred momentarily before righting itself. It was like someone had grabbed her cat senses, stretched them beyond possible, and then twisted. Ringing the whole thing out and leaving it tattered and limp.

"I swear, if he ever touches you again I'll... I'll..." A wave of blurriness washed over Appare's vision once more. Oh god... I think I'm gonna be sick! The neko could feel it rising from her stomach, threatening to explode. In a massive display of willpower, she managed to force the sick back down to whence it came. "I... I can't even fathom..." Her vision was still blurring in and out, but Appare locked her eyes on Keru. She felt so weak, but the neko could tell how angry he was. "Nah, I'm okay... I was threatening to cut off Kale's hair...." Appare's head seemed so light.... Was it normally this light...? Her legs started to tremble, but not the kind when your scared. It was more like how your muscles quiver when it can't handle something. "Haha... Did.. did you know it's dead? That's probably why..."

Apare's knees buckled, and she crumpled to the forest floor. Her ears and tail were as limp as she.

Keru turned around as the Neko collapsed and ran over to her. He layed her on her back and put her head in his lap.
"Appare... Guess you haven't ever been through a teleport. It's hard to get used to. He smiled as he looked down at her face, eyes fading to a near amber. "Riki, to th east of herethere is a statue of an angel. Near it should be a small pond. Would you go retrieve some water?" Keru asked, barely lifting his eyes away from appare.

AS he drove towards the forest Kale looked through Jackson's CD's finding one titled "Infected Mushroom" He put it in the CD player and began to tense his body as the music filled his mind with visions of power. He imagined himself atop a throne of bone Appare kneeling next to him. Laughing darkly Kale stuck his hand out of the window and swerved sharply turning onto a dirt road. Stopping the car Kale turned off the engine and stepped out leaving the stereo running. Allowing his aura to probe for Keru again he began to mutter "Wake me up before I change again. Remind me the story that I won´t get insane. Tell me why it´s always the same. Explain me the reason why I´m so much in pain. Before I change again... Remind me the story that I won't get insane. Before I change again... Remind me the story that I won't get insane" The music blaring as he walked in the direction of the pull his aura was forcing on him. Snapping off a rather large branch as he walked withing a few minutes he had them pegged. Walking into a small clearing Kale saw Keru holding Appare her head on his lap.

Taking a step forward Kale dropped the branch his eyes locked on Appare. Looking at Keru he allowed his aura to expand and cover his body. "Get away from my shadow." He said his voice low and menacing. "Look what you did to her." He said gesturing at her. "Only I can break my playthings!" He snapped angrily his aura beginning to envelop his body in darkness. Within a few seconds his entire body was nothing more than a black shadow standing before them. "I said get away from my toy!" He said his voice hammering the area around them. Whispers began to fill the space as the chorus repeated itself around them.

Riki ran off to go fetch water for Appare. Then she saw the pond and scooped up some water in her hand and ran as fast as she could seeing Keru and Appare she slowed down and smiled. But her smile ended when she saw Kale. Anger started to boil up " What are you doing here Kale!" she screamed at him but then noticing that this was Keru and Kale's fight she ran over to Appare and put water from her and into her mouth.
