How did you end up at the manor: On a camping trip, he sat himself among a bed of clovers, pulling out his laptop and typing away. A few minutes passed until he felt a presence, like someone gently squeezing his insides. Looking up with a furrowed brow, he saw The Door. After an initial moment of panic (he was a fan of the Marble Hornets series on YouTube, and Slender Man like doors very much) he tucked his laptop back into its bag and picked up his equipment, rarely taking his eyes away from the door for more than a minute. Donning a large silver cross, the gentle squeeze on what he could only describe as his soul lessened, but grew more kind, like it was being carresed by a mother's arms when she feels fear in her child. Packed up, he moved through the door, the feeling of empathy growing stronger. He understood something wonderful was happening, something with possibility, something with promise, something with amazement waiting for him.
