"If anyone needs scolding it's me. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about The Shade, just not something I always mention to people. You understand?" Na'ari's bashful mind from seeing her in her nightgown, could very well understand why. If she was the Shade's leader, it would have to stay under the radar. But now that he thought about it, she would know every known crime syndicate. If he stayed on to be her bodyguard, it would be an asset to him to take out any overly active crime group.
"Besides, I thought you may hate me for if and I'm starting to like you. Can you forgive me?" Na'ari only gave a silent nod, he was blushing so much he didn't know if he could trust his words. She was emitting some form of sound he couldn't recognize and assumed it was feline in nature. She hugged him close to her frame, making him wonder what she was plotting in her head.
"My goodness. . . You're all red." Na'ari felt embarrassed about his current state no thanks to that comment. But before he could give a reply she took his face in her hands.
"I hope. . . You could also forgive me for this."Before he could ask her for what reason, she placed her lips against his. His eyes went wide in shock. It felt like something awoke in him. Was this the feeling of a first kiss? She pulled away after a mere moment. He was still red but his mind was fully working again. He realized what had happened and his eyes went wide again,
"Lady Chancellor, you not only kissed your bodyguard. . . You just stole my first kiss right from under me." he stated in a shocked voice, before finally getting back to his normal usual self. He then cleared his throat.
"What does the schedule look like for the rest of the day and tomorrow? More meetings, scheduled events, etc.?"
