The feudal era of Japan is something everyone knows about. The honorable and courageous samurai, stealthy and cunning ninja, and beautiful geishas are what come to mind. Everyone knows of the katana-wielding warriors and seductive beauties. But what of the forever mysterious shinobi and kunoichi(female ninja)?

To begin, at the start of the shinobi family tree is the Kunosaki clan. The original clan. Every clan known in in shinobi history has descended from them. Every technique and fighting style, to every weapon and ninja ration recipe. It all started at their hands. In other words they are the Royal bloodline.

However as small groups in the cln began to focus on certain areas in ninja training, smaller clans formed and split away from the original. Of the following clans that formed were Iga, Koga, Fuma, and many more. However, as more clans formed, tensions over territory increased. Eventually the Great Ninja War arose. Many died. Some clans...completely wiped out.

With chaos riding the winds, the Kunosaki clan once again stepped forward and brought forth order. Negotiations and exhausting battles eventually lead to a treaty. Two rules were the main basis. One, the clans may not wage war unless proper reason is given. Two, Larger clans must protect the smaller neighbors. Taking over is not an option. It was enough to keep the fighting at bay.

As time passed, the daimyo of the land began wars of their own. Nobunaga Oda, the Demon King, was the most feared and ruthless. He wished to conquer the land of feudal Japan. Though with numerous small victories, his enemies gained a huge victory for every few he did. He decided to destroy the heart of this problem. The problem was the Ninja. If they were forever allied with those in his way he would never conquer Japan. In Nobunaga's mind one thing was clear. The Ninja clans must join him "willingly" or by force. The message was sent out to every clan.

Their response was to ignore it, a command from the Kunosaki. This merely kept the problem shoved to the side, but not for long. A clan defected. Their reason, power and the long hatred for the other clans. Massacres of entire clans happened as a result, those who survived joined the Demon King. The six strongest clans had hidden away , along with the Royal clan to preserve the ninja. A few months past. An emergency meeting was then called at a forgotten shrine. Each clan leader has decided to bring one of their most skilled, but youngest ninja. The Royal's bring their son and daughter.

However as the meeting progresses, in every clan leader's heart is the intent to kill the Royals and join Nobunaga. They can no longer stand hiding and losing more of their clan. Believing that its for the best, weapons are drawn, and blood stains the ground. The era of the mysterious ninja is over. But hope still exists. The six ninja brought as a guard had seen their leader's intentions and while their leaders engaged in battle with the Royals, escaped with his twin children. A son and a daughter.

Overnight they have become traitors and fugitives. Nowhere to go. Their clans now dangerous enemies.

Young and rash as they are, the group decides they will defeat Nobunaga, preserve the royal bloodline, and rebuild the clans despite what has been lost. The journey won't be easy and here is where your adventure begins...
