Introduction

The Avengers have assembled in the newly renamed Avengers Mansion in order to protect the Earth (or at least avenge it, if they fail in their first mission). Immortus, however, has other plans for the new group and creates a machine turning them all into children once again! Now the Avengers must band together to restore themselves to their older bodies while fighting off mutated vegetables begging to be eaten, nap time, and time out! Their bodies and minds aren't what they used to be, although not quite at the age they appear either. They must learn to use their powers once again in their new bodies, all while conquering toilet training as well.

Anthony Edward Stark looks down at his body, unable to process what has just happened. No, processing isn't the problem, has never been a problem for the great Tony Stark. Tony can process anything. It's believing that's the problem. He hates magic, loathes it with a passion that boarders on the physical. And surely this has to be an act of magic. Immortus had come so quickly, swooping into their meeting just as Tony had been about to explain his latest invention. That had been the beginning of the end, so to speak. Flashes of brightly colored light had blinded him and the next thing he knew, he glanced down at himself because the table seemed so much taller than he remembered it, and he was like this, a kid once again.

Tony gives a little sigh while looking around the room at his fellow Avengers, all of whom have turned into children like himself. "Well," he says with a slight frown, "this is new."

The meeting was a drag. Talking. Talking. Talking. I mean, I like talking, but too much..? Boring.

I was startled out of my mind when bright, colorful lights flashed. When the lights had stopped, I had to blink multiple times to re-adjust my eyes to the light. "Geez. What as that about?" I said to break the silence. But, suddenly, everything seemed to much... taller? "Huh. I don't recall shrinking... Wait. I didn't shrink..." I looked down at my small frame and my head jerked up, looking at every one else. They were all little kids too. "What just happened?!" I said jumping up.

"It looks like-" Tony cuts himself off and pauses for a moment, unaccustomed to the new, higher pitched sound of his own voice. He then continues, purposely making his voice slightly deeper, "looks like we all got turned into children by Immortus' machine." Tony looks up at the hole in the ceiling. "He's long gone by now." Although Extremis allowed Tony to have parts of his armor stored within his very bones, his actual outer coating of armor was now much too large for him, completely useless. "Not like you're not used to being little anyway Jan." Tony says with a little wink, only just resisting the urge to stick out his tongue.

I scowled at Tony. "Hmph." I cross my arms. Less the age= double the attitude. My gaze sweeps around the room, looking at the now tiny super heros. I look back over at Tony. "Not like this though. I feel weak." I grumble. Holding out my arms, I look at my tiny hands and arms. I blink in realization. "Now I'm going to be tiny all the time! Oh thats going to stink." I say to myself.
Then the boys in the room started talking, I couldn't help but laugh. "You all sound like chipmunks!" I double over laughing.

Tony's tongue's out of his mouth faster than the time it takes to blink, his face a scowl. Then, suddenly, he realizes something... He runs his hands over his face, feeling nothing there, just perfectly smooth, baby soft skin. "Oh no! My goatee!" He pouts and crosses his arms. "This does stink," he exclaims, kicking at the ground in a little fit.

After I was done laughing at all the boys in the room, I decided it was time to ascess the situation. "Alright. So what do we do now? We can't stay as babies and wait until we grow up again." I said, and blinked slowly, reailzing my voice was slightly higher as well.
"I wonder how far Immortus got..." I mutter and shrink down to small size and my little wings sprouted from my back. Flapping them expiramentally, they seemed ok to fly. Just in case, I did a jump start and kicked off the table as hard as I could with my even littler legs. I shot up to hole and landed on the roof with a grunt. I put my hand above my eyes, and looked around. "Nothing..." With a deep sigh, I looked down in the hole at everyone else. I fluttered back down and landed on the table. I grew back to full size... well as full as you an get being a little kid. "No sign of him any where."

Bruce remained quiet, focusing his attention on remaining calm. He feared that if his heart began racing too fast due to anger at Immortus' actions that the other guy would come out, and with everyone turnt into babies it would be even more dangerous. Remembering a technique used for staying calm, he began taking deep breaths, focusing on his heart.
Once he decided his heartbeats were normal again, he examined his new toddler body. He wondered what would happen and what the Hulk would look like as a child. He quickly snapped out of his thoughts and asked in a quiet voice, "What if he teleported through time somewhere we couldn't reach him?" Bruce was almost positive that Immortus could travel through time, but perhaps his memories weren't exactly correct.

Susan eyed everyone, taking in the impossible.
She then glanced down upon her own body, biting her lip as she surveys her small, pudgy legs.
Crossing her arms she scowls, "What the hell." She hisses and then looks over to Bruce.
She almost laughed when she saw him, he was so adorable with pudgy cheeks and standing at such a small height yet still having that calm, wise look he held.
It was quite hilarious, that was, until she remembered she probably looked a lot worse.

"I think we should-" She stops short, her voice turning into baby slurs, 'How old exactly am I?' she wonders, coughing just to check whether it was just a trick.
"I think-" She tries again but like last time, her voice is as baby-ish as it was before, "dammit." She whispers to herself.

Tony frowns at Janet as she delivers the news of Immortus' disappearance. It's not like he didn't expect such a thing, but it's still not exactly something that he wishes to hear. "I wonder why he didn't stick around for cookies and Kool-Aid." Tony says, a hint of his trademark sarcasm dripping into his words.

Tony only frowns harder when Bruce speaks. "If that's the case, we're going to have to find a time machine and follow him somehow. There's no way I'm staying like this for long. I don't even have facial hair!" Tony flails his tiny arms slightly in order to punctuate his frustration. Susan seems to be trying to speak, but without actually saying much of anything.

"Thinking's a dangerous pastime you know." He gives her a playful wink, hoping she won't take offense at his comment but knowing she probably will.

Eyeing the tiny fingers that were sprawled before his button nose, Steve Rogers found himself surprisingly... not surprised. Instead, he found himself intrigued by this modernized technology; Technology that could go so far as to turn time- something people from his era would have died to see- and here he was witnessing it firsthand.
Taking a deep breath, he allowed his gaze to drift to the rest of the group, taking in each baby form and their reactions. He couldn't help but let out a breath of amusement at Tony's sudden outburst; all the time machine did was show Tony’s true colors.
He didn’t feel any different, aside from the sudden height and weight difference, and a bit of an uncomfortable wetness along his inner thigh. At this sudden realization, his eyes grew wide and his cheeks flushed with embarrassment- he had wet himself.
Surely at the age of five he would have had control over his own bladder but he supposed after all of the commotion that had ensued he had lost control without even realizing it.
Luckily, Tony’s attention-seeking left Steve in the shadows, giving him the opportunity to remain silent and attempt to inconspicuously pick up his shield that lay beside him. However, due to his new baby form, he soon realized he was without his super strength and felt hot tears well up near the corners of his eyelids in frustration as the shield remained anchored.

Tony glances over at Cap, wondering what the Super Soldier's reaction to all this would be. Steve always seems so stoic, Tony had a hard time reading him, especially when the Capsicle was first freed from the ice. He notices the wet spot between Steve's legs, but doesn't say a thing. He remembers when he was a child himself, of this age and he had his own bladder problems. The therapist said it had something to do with his mother's death and his father's neglect, but what the heck did that guy know?

Anyway, Tony's primary objective was now to save his friend from all the embarrassment Tony himself had once felt by the betrayal of his body. He struts over to Steve in that way that he always does, but of course it looks a bit funnier now that he's so much shorter and his limbs so much stockier. He wraps a chubby arm around the Captain's neck and uses the thumb of his other hand to pad away Steve's tears.

"Cheer up, Cap," he whispers, "I'll get you outta this mess." With a grin and another trademark Stark wink, Tony throws his suit jacket, now much too large for any of them in the room, over Steve's shoulders, hiding the other boy's wet mark.

Steve's eyes shift from each Avenger before him, his heart thudding against his now flabby chest, before they fall upon Tony's- whose own eyes are locked on him. He suddenly feels his whole face flush with heat, already anticipating the humiliating scene that's bound to come. Not Tony, anyone but Tony. Steve never seems like the kind of guy who would get embarrassed easily, only the kind of guy who would make a bad situation into a good one, but with Stark around Steve usually found his confidence on the lower side of the scale.

And then he sees the little boy strut over to him, that arrogance from his adult-self never leaving his body, and it makes Steve chuckle quietly. The next thing Tony does actually surprises Steve, the close contact with the man- er, boy- is actually shocking. Had it been any other circumstance, Steve would've probably rolled his eyes and shook off Tony's arm in order to figure out something himself, but this was an entirely different situation.

As the weight of Tony's suit jacket blankets over Steve, he feels a quick wave of emotion flow through him but he casually disregards it and wraps the suit tightly around him. "Thanks," he mutters to Tony, averting eye contact and instead watching his own pudgy fingers grip the suit. He'd love nothing more than to go get changed but doing so would just bring about attention to himself so he stays put and manages to look up at the rest of the group, his ears perked for any further discussions about their given situation.

Tony can't read the look on Rogers' face, but then again he can never really read the super soldier's expressions. He guesses it doesn't really matter. He's just trying to do something nice, especially as he knows his attitude irks the more reserved Rogers and they'll need to be able to work together, in harmony, if they want to return to their adult bodies.

The sooner I'm myself again, the better, Tony thinks as he flashes a reassuring smile at Rogers. At least he hopes that's the vibe he's giving off, because usually he just exudes cockiness and superiority. He's even ninety-seven percent certain that believe he's made of cockiness, superiority, and narcissism. He knows better though; it is all just one big act, put on for the onlookers and the press and anyone who might even want to get close to him, although Tony doesn't see why anyone would.

He shakes his head slightly, dislodging the thoughts from his mind and focusing once again on the situation at hand. He has to get Rogers out of here. That's the priority at the moment. "We're gonna go do..." Tony thinks for a moment, trying to find something that would be totally uninteresting to babies so that none of the other would follow him and Rogers. "... Important things. Yeah, important things." Not his smoothest moment, but he blames it on the transformation. He turns his back to the rest of the group, pressing the palm of his hand to his forehead. Yeah, that wasn't smooth at all. Still, perhaps none of the others would notice.

He pulls Rogers a little closer to him protectively, making sure that his coat jacket is staying in place over the other boy's small, thin frame and gently pushes him towards the door, walking side by side. He gives one last glance backwards before they cross the threshold to what Tony sees as safety.

Re: Adolescent Avengers

Yes, you can reserve characters. Not a big deal. The aliases are just before baby and then their baby alias if you want to give them something a little cuter. Since most character history can easily be found online, I didn't think that it would be necessary to make you type out more about your character.

Anyway, I made a short little posting, so now let the games begin. :)

Re: Adolescent Avengers

Hmmm... can we reserve characters? If so, may I reserve The Wasp?
And what exactly do you want us to put for the aliases? Do you mean by regular alias before they were turned into babies?
