Nate saw the final demon go down in a bloody heap on the pavement and he walked over to them and gave one a solid kick to the head and grinned at the crunch of bone. He collected his arrows and wiped them off with his t-shirt which he would throw away later and slide his weapon back into his backpack and he looked at the telepath and inclined his head and decided perhaps he had been a bit too mean, “How about instead of a hot chocolate I’ll buy you a beer.” He held out his hand for him to shake letting him know silently he wasn’t a kid anymore. “You don’t fight so bad.” He said, he looked over at the panther and said “buy you a beer too and we can figure out what’s going on.”

Simon shifted back to humanity, letting Sonya know that she could too. "There is no way that girl is just some innocent little human trying to get murdered by those things. She's either someone very damn powerful, or she's done some bad shit," he said, staring at them.
Sonya stayed at the base of the fire escape, even after she'd shifted. It had been 11 years since she'd shifted, and the headache after the shift was a bitch. But she had too stay focused. She couldn't let the demons get either of those poor girls. Sure, Sonya wasn't hero material, but she wasn't going to let two humans just die...

Odessa:
Odessa was in cat form on the fire escape of her apartment watching the whole thing. She saw a woman running and screaming and hide behind one of the men and then 3 devilish looking 'men' chasing her. She saw the other two people shift into larger cats. The human and the other woman started to climb up the fire escape that she was on. Odessa meowed at them and started toward her apartment in hopes that they were curious as well and would follow her so they could be safe.

The human and the other woman started to climb up the fire escape that she was on. Odessa meowed at them and started toward her apartment in hopes that they were curious as well and would follow her so they could be safe.
Shaun looked at the hunter as he offered to buy him a beer to resolve what happened earlier. He replied "Thanks but no thanks. Alcohol screws up my power, I'll find it hard to control it and myself if I get even the slightest bit tipsy." He started to walk across the street as he turned around, after killing whatever the hell that was I actually realised how tired I am. I'm off, trust me; I'll catch you later.
As he finished that sentence he lifted off the ground as he focused his power on lifting himself. He mock saluted and threw himself into the air, the wind rushing past his head as he flew through the air. Catching himself again he landed on top of a tall apartment complex and opened the emergency door, closing the door behind him he walked down the stairs until he reached room 20B. Putting a key in the keyhole he opened the door and using his ability; closed it behind himself. Inside was another guy about the same age as him watching TV.
"Hey Steve, I'm going to sleep. If a few demons knock on the door, kill them will ya?" Without waiting for a response he walked into his room and fell face first onto his bed and was asleep in minutes.

"I assumed they wanted money but when I told them I didn't have anything on me I was scared they wanted something different so I ran. I just happened to run into those men back there" she said, charm was oozing from her pores. She knew her charm worked on humans. "It's so strange. I feel like all of this is a dream"

"We'll question the woman once we find her and get her to a safe place." He gave the men next to him a side long glance "You can leave if you want its probably safer." Nathanial of course wasnt going to leave as he was intruiged by the woman.

Brooklyn considered that for a brief moment. It made sense. It was normal. That was reassuring. "That makes sense," she said, and she reached a platform for the fire escape. "Do we keep climbing?" she asked. She noticed a pretty grey cat wandering around on the fire escape as well.

"No, I think the guys handled the men who were chasing me. I sounded like it anyway. I think we're good right here. Besides, one of them told us to stay here so he could find us when it was all over." she smiled reassuringly. Leah noted the cat slinking around on the roof. She knew because she could feel the emotions of the cat that it wasn't an ordinary cat. 'that HAS to be a shapeshifter. she thought.

"No. My sister is going to want to stay. Sonya never leaves a fight," Simon explained, "And I ain't leaving her." He looked at the other man. "I'm Simon," he added, putting out his hand to shake. "And you are?"
"Call me Nate. Com'on." Nathanial left the demons where and motioned for Simon to follow and he sought out the women and spotted them up a fire escape and he climbed up to them and leaned back against the railing and he looked at the human and then at the woman who had led the demons to them. "We got rid of those guys for you. Good thing you came to us, they were real... demons." He said it suggestivly and then sighed and said, "Alright ladies, lets get out of here." He spotted the cat a little ways off and he narrowed his eyes recognizing her for what she was and he made a sutble motion to it. Perhaps the cat had seen something that could explain this all.

Leah heard someone coming up the fire escape and momentarily braced herself. 'Relax if it were a demon he wouldn't take the fire escape to get you' she thought and sighed. It was the hunter from the alley and she smiled. 'I was right to cling to him then' she thought. When he used the word 'Demon' in the sentence she knew he figured it out.
"I agree. We need to get out of here." she said, looking around. She also noticed that the hunter noticed the cat. 'Wow. Good instincts' she thought, which made her believe he knew that she wasn't human. She walked up to him until they were inches apart and whispered "thank you" then gave him a smirk.

He returned her smile with a crooked grin and said “My pleasure.” He touched the brim of his cap and tipped it to her. He then straightened and said “let’s get you ladies out of this cold for now and then we’ll figure things out.” He wondered what to do about the human. She looked so confused, he sighed and figured he would have to come up with some bogus story to please her and then send her on her way. He motioned for the ladies to go down the steps and he followed after them.

Simon and Sonya stayed behind everyone else. Sonya looked troubled, and that really worried Simon. He figured that her shifting had bothered her, stirred up old memories. She could remember things he couldn't. He felt terrible. He knew memories were her only weakness. Espicially memories about Jacob...
Sonya was never going to let her walls down again. She was basicly heartless. The little heart she had before now was buried right next to Jacob. An innocent human she watched die, right in her arms. He died to save her. She took a deep breath and continued down the stairs.

The two women didn't follow her but she saw one of them kind of stare for a minute
"Great, that one knows I'm not really a cat..." she thought
Then the Hunter climbed up the fire escape and Odessa saw him make a subtle gesture at her. She meowed back politely.
"Alright ladies, lets get out of here." The hunter said

When they all got off the fire escape Curiosity was killing her so she followed them, weaving in and out of their legs to cause a little mischief.

When they all got off the fire escape Curiosity was killing her so she followed them, weaving in and out of their legs to cause a little mischief.
Nathanial grinned down at the cat moving amount them and he couldn't help himself. He bent and ran two large fingers down her back and he straightened. He ushered everyone into a small coffee shop and sat them down at the table. He ordered everyone coffee's and then bent down and scooped up the cat in his arms and carried her outside so they could have a little chat.
Sonya took a sip of her coffee and took a look at everyone. "Why were they after you?" she asked the girl, not able to contain her need for answers any longer. Demons didn't just go after normal people for no reason, she knew that. Hell, they rarely went after humans.

Willa peeked into the lounge of the coffee shop, noticing the large group of people. She motioned to a fellow employee, signaling she would take this order and waited for the circle of friends to emerge. Coffee shop waitressing wasn't very similar to waitressing in a typical dine-in restaurant; here, it was much more dignified. The people were nicer, and the employee wasn't stuck dealing with bad orders or food malfunctions - for the majority of the time, at least. The only task Willa really had was to take coffee orders, make them, and wait for the customers to pick it up. There was a tip jar near the cash register for the generous, a cushioned chair to sit in if the cashier gets tired of standing or bored from waiting, and a rather conspicuous, mythical Egyptian monster figurine sitting among the trinkets and ornaments that decorated the front desk. All in all: easy job, easy money.
After a man with dark hair and notably hazel eyes took orders for the group, Willa got started on their coffees. For some reason, she thought, something didn't seem right. At first I thought they were crazy or on drugs or something so I ran, but one of them caught up to me and cut my face." she said, gesturing toward the 2 inch cut on her face. She couldn't tell them the truth with the human with them. The shape shifter should know that.

Like why those demons went after that chick." He pointed to the woman inside the coffee shop. "Anything would be much appreciated." He winked at her.

Odessa thanked the man who's name she still hadn't gotten and sat down at the table and listened to the conversations before she turned to the quiet Human girl
"Pretty crazy night, right?" She realized that she was somebody who was supposed to just be showing up and covered her tracks "Based on what I'm listening to, I mean."

Leah rolled her eyes and answered the man as he sat down at the table. "It's just like I was telling her" she said, gesturing toward the shape shifter "I think they thought I was someone else. They kept talking about a hybrid of some sort, and threatening me to come with them, so I ran. Somehow they caught up to me and when I screamed they cut my face." she said, gesturing to the cut on her face for the second time. 'At least I won't forget to heal it later' she thought. 'He HAS to know by the way I acted that I'm not just a damsel in distress' she thought 'But there's NO WAY i'm spilling my guts in front of the human girl'. Leah didn't feel like using her charm abilities, unless of course it came down to it, but she also wasn't going to say anything about herself that could get her caught between a rock and a hard place. 'He has to know who I am. Maybe not my face...but I know there's a bounty out for my head amongst the hunters. The humans don't want a hybrid walking around either. To them it means magical beings can become more powerful...wouldn't want that' she thought sarcastically.

Nate considered everything the woman said and he knew most of her story was a load of bs. She knew why they were after her and so within the lies he found the truth. He watched her for a moment and said "so just wrong person in the wrong place then." he sighed and leaned back in his chair he looked at the woman and then suddenly something hit him. Hybrid... he frowned and looked at the woman and it clicked. He knew she wasn't normal but know he knew what she was. His eyes narrowed at bit and folded his arms over his chest. This lady was a target, he frowned to himself wondering if he wanted to take her in. The money was good but it seemed like such a shame to bring an angel in... Literally. "well I suppose this means our little adventure has come to an end. It was interesting to meet you all I'm Nathanial."
