Caleb's Story

Kimberly stood laughing to herself at the awkward situation, Caleb seemed to take interest in any girl he sets his eyes on. "Caleb, stop she doesn't like pervs, and your such a big one." Kim said facing her older brother, she looked at the girl smiling and saying "Hey am Kim and p.s am not related to this animal." pointing towards her father and laughing "Am just joking, no offense dad." Kim faced Mila and asked "Mi can I borrow your Ipod again.. if you don't give it to me you'll never see it again." Kimberly said smirking.

Kim jumped of Mila's bed awaiting her answer.

As Claudia sat down at the dinner table, her kids and husband had managed to rummage through the take out bags and each having their own food. Devin was promising their kids Pizza for tomorrow, as much as she hates to spoil her family about having too much fast food she decided to just give that one time and let them have it their own way. Besides if they are having pizza it meant she didn't have to cook, she can spend sometime pampering herself and washing her hair.

"Make sure to get me some extra Jalapenos for my pizza tomorrow, you know how I like mine hot," She commented as she placed Maya on the baby chair and made sure her baby was safe before she walked back to the fridge to get the apple sauce. She placed a bib around Maya's neck and sat down. "Oh lookie Maya, your favorite!" She squeaked and spooned a good measure into the baby spoon and made choo choo sounds as she gave her daughter some dinner.

"I might run a bit late tomorrow, I'll be having a meeting with the wife club about the baking fair this month. I'll just see you guys here," She commented. Truth be told she will be having a meeting, but it was just so that she can distribute her recipe copies and she can run off but she will be meeting Matthew after, she needed to tell the boy that she wanted to stop their affair. The guilt is slowly killing her. At first she thought it was just something just for fun but as it lasted a month longer she couldn't bear standing alone in the same room as her husband as the guilt consumed her. "Do you need anything for me to buy in the groceries as well?" She asked everyone.

Claudia did her best to avoid Devin's eyes and nodded meekly as he commented about how important the kids are to him. "Alright love, let's get you ready for bed." She wiped Maya's lips and carried her off the baby chair. "Ali, I think it's your turn to clean up after dinner." She rubbed Ali's back with motherly affection with her free hand and kissed him on the head. "I'll just get ready," She spoke as she passed behind Devin's chair.
Half way towards the stairs she called back to Devin and said, "Oh and if you can call the babysitter while I tuck Maya in bed."

And once she was upstairs, she turned the door knob of the nursery and opened the lights. She placed Maya down in the crib and went over the diaper station and got the calming oil. It has been a ritual for Claudia to rub a calming baby oil on Maya's back, arms and legs before she goes to sleep. It has helped Maya sleep better and wakes up more cheerful. She walked back to the crib and applied some oil on Maya's back first, gently massaging then on her legs and the same with the arms. Once she was done she closed the lid and gave Maya a bottle of warm milk. Once she tucked her baby in, she opened the night light and turned off the incandescent bulb. Warm yellow light dancing in different shapes around the room as a soft and calming tinkling of a lullaby played. She turned on the baby monitor, reminding herself to give one to Savannah and Kim and another to the babysitter. She gently tapped Maya's bum and watched as they baby gently dozes off to dreamland. Once Maya was sleeping, she kissed her on the forehead and double checked the room. And before she exited the nursery, she gathered 3 baby monitor extensions and went towards her and Devin's room. She laid the 3 monitors on the bed and walked towards the closet, she picked a nice maroon dress and a pair of kitten heels shoes. She dressed up and put on a little makeup and brushed her hair to give extra volume. She went to get a black cardigan and placed her bag on her shoulder, took the 3 baby monitor extensions and went downstairs.

She each handed a baby monitor to the two girls and reminded Savannah, "Honey, can you give this to the babysitter once she arrives and I pinned $30 at the fridge if in case you needed to buy something. There are some ice cream in the freezer, we'll probably be back before midnight," She leaned to give Savannah a kiss on the check and another for Kim. "Now Caleb, make sure you won't leave your sisters on their own and try to check around for suspicious noises okay? The emergency numbers are by the phone. Ali, do give us a call if any of you plans to leave the house and make sure to check on Maya from time to time. Give me a call if anything happens," She gave each one of her children a task to remember and then looked for her husband. "Devin? I'm ready."

Maya looked up at her brother and started to crawl towards him. 'I think you may be delirious, dear Ali. Maybe you should go lay down. I'll see if anyone else wants to take care of me.' She crawled out the door and headed for Caleb's room. Banging loudly on the door, she tried to get her other brother to open his door.

'Caleb! come take care of me!' "Whaaa! Gyuu coo!" 'Caleb!!' She sat down in front of his room, and closed her eyes. Maya lay down on her side and started to think to herself again. 'Geez, are there no responsible siblings?!'

Maya heard their Aunt Lex come in through the door, and watched as Caleb leaped over her head to greet their aunt. 'Caleb! Watch where you're going! You could have hurt me!' She started crawling towards the door and looked up at Aunt Lex. 'Aunt Lex! It's so wonderful to see you! What on Earth are you doing at this time though?' "Goo kyun gah gyu?"

She looked up at Caleb and glared at him. 'Geez... You, mister, should watch where you're stepping!'
