Introduction
Amalgamation Syndrome is a guild on gaiaonline.com dedicated to role playing. Run by me (Strude) Amalgamation Syndrome was meant to be a haven for players who wanted to escape the hell-hole known as Barton Town. The guild was established on Sat Jul 11, 2009 6:46 pm, and has since been an active RP location. Amalgamation Syndrome bolsters several long running role plays and a talented member base.
However, recently I (Strude) have been in search of new RP sites and came across this one. I was immediately attracted to the Role Play Tab and the system it uses. I was impressed with the lack of "avatars" (fancy pixel characters) and the focus placed on pure, unadulterated, role playing. This site is the kind of environment I have been looking for. Thus I decided to make myself at home and get crackalacking on some RP setup. But what was missing was a place where I could gather the original and potential Amalgamation Syndrome members. So I have created this "RP" as a replacement.
Amalgamation Syndrome is a role playing group. I know this RP system is likely only meant for role plays, but I have decided to put it to use in another way. Amalgamation Syndrome will be used for persona role playing, as well as a sort of club, group or guild for role players. We will be using the chat system to RP and chat (duh) as well as the OOC forms to create a inner community of players and role plays.
1. Make an effort to be somewhat active. We're here to support one another and provide one another with role plays. Inactive members doesn't help up achieve our goal.
2. Respect all players and their role plays.
3. Rules are subject to change.
Click the Submit a Character » button at the top of the page and do the following:
1. Apply as one of your online persona's (such as a furesona for example.) Basically as yourself, this is an RP group, rather than an actual role play.
2. In the synopsis (which you can change once accepted) tell why you want to join Amalgamation Syndrome.
note: if you were an original member of Amalgamation Syndrome on Gaia, then put your gaia username in the synopsis (and change it once accepted.)

The [OOC] there is universal, but if you look at the drop down tap you can see this "RPs" (serving as a group) private rooms.
Your Verenkor and my Amber Wood RP's both have their own chat rooms too.
You just need to go to the RP and click the chat tab and you're in that RP's chat.

Collectibles

Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.
Mobs
Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!
Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!

The Forge

WHURD! MIDTERM ESSAY DONE! I did a classification essay on role playing. We'll see how well I do. Seems like my teacher marks pretty hard. So eh . . . Next week is the multiple choice, what they're going to ask 50+ questions on, I have no bloody idea . . . we haven't learned anything.

I'm also thinking of starting a simply, easy going, group RP (as it doesn't look to be taking off on Gaia.) Between my Amber Wood brain sucking experience and school.

- I'm not in a clan either, it's just a tag my brother and I use for fun.
As for normal TDM (or normal games period), I can get up there in kills too. In hardcore (all games) usually the scores normally range in the six to twenty kill/death ratio. (Certain games do not have respawns, once you're dead you're dead and you have to wait for the match to be over.) Most people have equal deaths as they do kills. People that get scores above 25 (with a low death ratio) aren't usually playing fair, when it comes to hardcore games.
So yeah for hardcore (and not to mention this is the first FPS I have ever played) I raped face.
Edit: I prefer hardcore because it isn't such a clusterfuck of bullshit. Games are slower, take a bit more thinking, rather than watching your radar for someone to come to you. I like having to work for my UAV and not being able to rely on radar.
