Amidst The Demon Offering: Revitalized

Introduction

BACK STORY:
Ouija Boards have all been found fascinating and somewhat scary to humans. They can be used to contact the dead, to scare your friends, and to just test your bravery. Stories have been told about demons using Ouija Boards as a gateway to Earth, living in the Board until it is used by an open or broken soul. If the board is thrown into a fire without the demons inside being released, the demons will let out a scream and the board will jump out of the fire. Other stories have stated that if the board is not used for a long enough time by an open or broken soul and the demons are not let out because of the short amount of time used, if the human tries to get rid of the board, it will show up back on the humans doorstep or the foot of their bed in the morning, no matter how far out the human might have taken it.

PLOT:
Two friends have taken a vacation out to the woods of Rhode Island for the summer, the cabin resides by a large lake and not many people know there is a cabin in that area, almost no one goes there. These two friends have just recently lost their best friend and have decided to stay at the cabin for the summer to get away from it all, all the sadness, and all the hurt.

The area of the woods their cabin is in is shrouded by a legend that states that Lucifer dwells there when he is on Earth. The two friend obviously don't believe this, and even though many people tell them not to go to the cabin alone, they decide to anyways. When they arrive at the cabin and begin to look around, they find a very old Ouija Board hidden under the sink in the kitchen.

At first, the two are reluctant to use the Board, but a few days after finding it they decide to try and contact their dead friend. Little do they know that when they use this Ouija Board, they release the two strongest demons in demon history. What will happen when these two find out they are now vacationing with two deadly demons and Lucifer himself?

It had already been three days since they had gotten to the cabin, night was flooding in to close them on the fourth day and Lulu couldn't help but be curious about the Ouija Board they had found under the sink of the kitchen. She'd never really seen one up close before, and she sure had never thought about using one. But over the last 24 hours, her curiosity had started to tug on her and she would walk by the table just to glance at it. It almost felt like something wanted her to use it, but she was fighting that feeling, the best she could fight it at least.

When the sun had fallen down from the sky and the stars were finally showing and the end of their fourth day was coming along quickly, she sat down in a seat right in front of the Board, staring at it. She looked at it then turned her head and looked at Mason, "we should do this," she said pointing at the Board. She still felt like she shouldn't, but most of her wanted to, kept telling her to. Without letting him agree or object to the idea, she picked up the Board and sat down on the couch with him and put it on the coffee table in front of them. She looked at the Planchette and placed her index finger on it, when she did it felt like the room got a bit heavier, but she ignored it and waited to see if Mason would do the same.

Four days. Had it really been four days? If the time hadn't been marked by the setting of the sun and the little numbers changing on his cell phone, he would never have known. That was all the damn thing was good for up here, anyway. What was with the crappy reception? Didn't people take cell phones to the cottage anymore? Not that he had anyone to call, regardless. He hadn't bothered to tell his parents where he'd gone. What did it matter? They might not have clued in he was even missing, yet.

Four days. It all felt like a dream, almost. Like he was detached from reality, and he wasn't really part of it, just watching as things happened and time went by, while the only thing that anchored him to this place was his body. It was actually nice up here, though. He felt like he could breathe. The trees seemed brighter when he bothered to look at them, the air was cleaner, the birds were louder. And the stars - the stars were amazing. Jesse had liked stars, hadn't he? There had been a couple times where he'd practically dragged Mason outside after the sun went down, oblivious to his complaints, and sat in the frigid darkness staring up the at the sky. He'd even known the names of some of them. And those silly lines they drew in the sky. What were they called? Consternation, or something like that. Consultations? Whatever. That was not a pair of fish no matter how hard you stared at it. Seriously. Those people must have been touched in the head.

Bringing Max along had been a great idea. The pup - as usual - seemed to know when he wanted to be alone, and when he wanted the silent comfort of his warmth curled at his feet, or even up on the couch with him. He'd found himself sleeping on the couch with Max curled on top of him several times, at the oddest of hours. Once he even woke to catch that girl staring at him. Lulu. She was grinning like she thought it was the cutest thing in the world. A snappy retort had come to him, but he hadn't had the heart to utter it. She was a sweet girl. Curious, to a fault. She kept bugging him, told him talking about things might make it better, and would not relent. Probably couldn't blame her - there was not much to do up here except talk to one another. At least she had tenacity, he had to give her that. She had that in common with Jesse, at least. Maybe he ought to give her a chance. Definitely a cute little thing, though. And so curious! Yes, again! She'd spent the first day exploring every nook and cranny of the place, and found that creepy old board somewhere tucked away like it had been very, very bad. There was something about it that just didn't sit right with him. She constantly found ways to bring it up, or suggest they should try to use it.

Like now. Without pretense, she hauled it over to where he was sitting and dropped it in front of him, the dull note emanating from the lacquered wood thudding onto the coffee table resounding like the toll of some depraved, sullen bell. He'd never seen one before they'd come here, but he'd heard about them, like in stories. He hadn't known they'd even actually existed. Supposedly they were some connection to the spirit realm - if you believed in that - and that you could communicate with ghosts - if you believed in them - by channeling through someone in the room who had a touch of ESP - if you believed in that. It all seemed like a bunch of hogwash to him. At least, it did in theory. But here was this thing, practically pulsing with a veritable 'Do Not Touch Me' warning. Blow it all. He was never one to heed warnings, anyway. And there was nothing to do. And for every hair that stood on end when he looked at the thing, something else in the back of his mind could not help but wonder. Maybe they could talk to Jesse.

"Fine." He shuffled forward on the couch so he could lean forward over the table, causing Max to lift his head in irritation at having his comfy sprawl disturbed. "How does this crap work?" He spied what she was doing, and deigned to copy it, putting an index finger on the little plastic thing, trying his best to ignore the sudden wave of palpable dread the moment he did so, "Do we just ask it random junk? Like, 'O, Mystical Spirits of the Unknown, please tell us how many beers are in the fridge!'" He smirked at his own joke, though the smile quickly evaporated once he glanced down and saw that the little plastic thingy had already begun to move, and was now quite clearly indicating the number 3. He tossed an accusatory glance at Lulu, though there was little conviction behind it. "Hey. Quit messin' around. Stop movin' it."

Just then, Max picked himself off the couch and silently left the room. Mason watched the dog go, and part of him felt like he should do the same. Instead, he met Lulu's gaze, then glanced down at the board.

(read from the bottom post up to the top, as if they were separately posted. Sorry if it's confusing, but after reading this one, you can then put up your post. ^^)

~Annalysa Jones~
Lulu watched as the Board started counting down, it was freaking her out completely now, but still she couldn't seem to get her hand to move from the Planchette. She was silent as she watched it count, like it was having fun or maybe whatever it was counting down was a child. What? Now you're just thinking stupid Lulu, a child wouldn't say all the stuff that it said just a few moments ago. When it stopped counting down she inwardly sighed in relief until it shifted to 'hello', moving faster than it had the entire time they were using it. She waiting, wondering if it was going to move again, but it didn't.

When Mason pulled his hand away and practically flew off the couch and onto his feet she jumped a bit. She pulled away her hand finally and looked up at him as he started yelling in a way. The way he was yelling, saying she shouldn't have talked him into it, made her feel almost horrible. He was obviously upset and seemed to be just as freaked out as she was, she didn't know that was going to happen, if she had she would have just left it alone. Damn the curiosity that seemed to control her actions ninety percent of the time, most of the time this curiosity of hers seemed to screw her over, this probably being one of those times. She watched as he booked out of the room, not saying anything to stop him, although she wanted to know why exactly he was so upset, but, for once, she thought she shouldn't go asking about it. The things that Board was saying was just...they seemed to personal to be asked. So she decided against asking and going after him to try and calm him down, though it was practically killing her not to.

She was silent as she looked at the Board, she was somewhat fearful of it at the moment, something was going on with it, but she couldn't tell or explain what it was. She picked up the Board and went to fold it and as soon as she touched it she pulled her hand away. It was hot. It wasn't supposed to be hot was it? She hadn't pulled her hand away because it was an immense heat or anything, but because it scared her, how would it get hot? It didn't make sense. She got up and quickly walked away from it and into the room she was staying in.

~aesir~
Fear gripped him, an iron fist around his heart. Once Jesse's name was spelled out, he nearly lost complete control over himself. No one had known that. No one. He himself had only come to terms with it a week ago. There was no way anyone... anything on this earth could possibly know about those feelings. Not Jesse himself, not Lulu, not this stupid piece of plastic made by some toy company in Nowheresville, Alabama by some dude with 9 fingers and 3 kids at home who hated his guts. There was just no freaking way. It had to be screwing with them. Playing mind games, guessing at how to mess with their feelings. With uncanny accuracy. Yes, Mason, this stupid wooden hunk of junk is screwing with you. That totally made sense. Though, at the moment, nothing made sense.

Currently, the planchette moved to one end of the board and hovered over the '0'. What kind of sentence starts with 0? Seriously. This thing must be broken. All of this was pure coincidence, and they were imagining that creepy feeling that hung in the air like a horrible odour. The planchette was now moving over '9', and was not stopping. What was it doing, giving them a countdown? Well, that was just fine with him. He was done asking it questions, he was done with the whole thing. He hadn't even really wanted to do this in the first place, Lulu had found it and had dragged it over to him and practically forced him to do this, '8'. Alright that wasn't exactly fair, she hadn't forced him, but it was still her fault. '7', What on earth had possessed him to come out here, anyway? His phone didn't work so he couldn't text his buddies, this girl was practically a complete stranger and they had barely said a few things to each other in four days, '6', and now there was this creepy thing hovering over them playing head games for who knew what reason. '5', Even Max had abandoned him, the one truly meaningful thing in his life besides Jesse, the only person that seemed to know anything about him. '4', And he wasn't even a person, he was a dog! '3', How screwed up could you get, when a dog was your only real friend? '2', Why had Jesse died, anyway, and left him here alone? What kind of friend did that to you? What a jerk! '1'. The planchette almost flew across the board, landed on 'Hello', and stopped dead.

Mason tore his hand from the board and exploded to his feet. "'Hello'!? You mean 'Goodbye', you stupid, broken piece of $*@#? What a load! Jeez! I dunno why I let you talk me into this, it was nothing but pure garbage." Clearly both furious and terrified, Mason stormed out of the room, threw open the front door, stomped down the wooden stairs leading up to the front door of the cabin, and dropped himself down to sit on them. He folded his arms over his knees and rested his head chin on his forearm, still simmering. The cold night air pricked at his skin, cutting through the jeans and t-shirt he wore quite easily, but he didn't mind. In fact, it was helping to clear his head. He was already well on his way to rationalizing everything that had just happened as 'coincidence' and 'meaningless' in his mind, and the anger and terror were quickly subsiding, as if a dream.

He had no idea what had actually gone on in there, but he was quite prepared to ignore all of it completely. If only.

~Annalysa Jones~
She was inwardly freaking out a little once he said he wasn't moving it, she figured it wasn't him, but she was somewhat hoping it was. "Me, it means me, my real name is Delanee," she said, her words coming out a bit fast, "but almost no one knows that." The fact that he had no clue what the figure 8 it had been doing meant, didn't make her any less freaked out inside, she wanted to know what was going on. She figured the only way to do this was to keep talking to this...Board.

When it answered Mason's question with a strange phrase she became a bit confused, did this thing not like answering questions or something? It seemed to just say things that sounded random to her, maybe she just didn't understand it. She glanced over at Mason and he seemed to know what it meant when it 'answered' his question. She figured to not ask what exactly it meant by it, from his reaction, she figured he wouldn't want to talk about it, but maybe she could ask eventually.

"Yeah, this is getting a bit weird," she said right before it asked them a question. The Board. Asked them a question. "Is it supposed to ask us stuff?" She wasn't sure if it was supposed to. But who was it talking about, the only person that came to mind with that question was Jesse, which brought up her next question. "Who are you talking about?" She watched as it sat there for what seemed like forever until it slowly spelt out 'Jesse'. She stared at the Board. What was that question supposed to mean then? Which one of them loved him more. She couldn't wrap her brain around it at the moment.

Before she could ask anything else or say anything else it quickly spelt out, 'should you two be alone out here?" She froze a bit, more in nervousness than fear. Was the Board warning them of something, or threatening them? She couldn't tell, and she wanted to stop doing it now. But, her hand didn't seem to want to move away from it.

~aesir~
This whole thing was starting to bug him. But, it was just a bit of wood and lacquer and plastic and ink and stuff, right? If worse came to worse, they could just get up and walk away. Or toss the thing into the garbage. Or strap it to a bomb and mail it to his ex-girlfriend. You know. Whatever. It was just stuff, and he was a human. They had full control over the situation. Well, except for the little plastic thing that seemed to be moving of its own volition.

"Hell no, I'm not moving it, I'm barely touching it. This is getting kinda creepy." His eyes were glued to the board as it started to spell out what looked like a greeting. He grunted, "Who the hell is Delanee? Maybe it's broken." His lips pursed as he considered the options. Either Lulu was moving it and lying to him, or it seemed to be jittering around the board on its own. Neither of these options really appealed to him. Still, there was a way to find out if the girl was full of it, but he wasn't sure he wanted to test it, exactly. If the second option were indeed true, did he really want to know how it was working? He found her staring at him in near desperation as the thing started doing crazy patterns, like he knew what it meant. He shrugged cluelessly, "How am I supposed to know? Maybe it wants to be a worker bee."

Well, there was one way to find out just how serious this was. He steeled himself, the fingers of his free hand running through his hair nervously, and thought of something very few people would actually know, "Okay, mystical... thing. When is my mom's birthday?" He smirked. He knew for a fact that only he and his dad knew the answer to that - she hated to work, and had not kept one job for long enough to get chatty with any of her co-workers for years. It could only help that she seemed to hate people, too. It was moving again, and it started spelling out a somewhat lengthy reply that was not a date. "Huh, I knew this thing was fake, it's not even--" He stopped, and his face grew leaden as the hairs on back of his neck stood at attention. The planchette was spelling out: 'You're dead for all they know. They have no love for you.' The look in his eyes was cold and frightened.

He leaned back slightly. This was getting out of hand. There's no way Lulu could know anything about his parents; he barely knew her, and he doubted she was that good a guesser. "I'm... not sure I want to do this anymore." He was about to remove his fingers from the planchette when it started to move again, and curiousity froze him in place. They were both rapt as it spelled: 'Now it is my turn to ask. Which of you loved him more?' Mason could feel the heat rising to his face as he flushed. "Okay this thing is all over the place and talking in riddles. Loved who? This is bullshit." His deflection was transparent, but he was clearly shaken. He wanted to take his fingers off the planchette, knew all he needed to do was tell himself to lean back onto the couch and stuff his hands in his pockets, but he remained motionless. He glanced at Lulu, his unease quite clear.

~Annalysa Jones~
Lulu looked at him as he put his index finger on the Planchette, many questions started running through her mind about what she could ask the Board. She didn't know if she should really get her hopes up that this would work, but at least she could say she tried, right? She laughed at his question about the beers, "yeah, i think we just a-" she stopped mid sentence as it moved across the Board to the number 3. She stared at it surprised a bit, yet also yelling on the inside, "i knew it would work!" She watched as the dog got up and left the room, she really thought nothing of it.

"I didn't move it," she said, not taking her eyes off of it, "so you didn't move it either?" With this fact being thrown out there, she got a bit excited that this Board was working. A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips, "hello Board spirit," she simply stated to see if it would reply to her. For a moment it didn't move, her smile faltering, but then it quickly started moving, spelling out "Hello Delanee." She looked at the Board silently, not many people knew her real name, most just thought Lulu was her real name.

She watched as it moved back to the middle of the Board and she couldn't help but practically blurt out, "Who are you?" As soon as the words escaped her lips, the Planchette started doing figure 8s across the Board. It freaked her out a bit, "what does that mean?" She looked at Mason thinking that, hopefully, he might know, though she doubted it. When the Planchette stopped doing figure 8s she looked back down at the Board and without making eye contact stated, "ask it a question."

Smoke began to filter from the board; pitch black not even anything visible through the smoke. A dark laughter filled the air as the smoke began to take form and soon enough a man stood in it's place a guitar case thrown over his shoulder. He wore pitch black jeans baggy; a belt holding them up and the belt buckle said "Born to raise hell". he wore a black trench coat over a sleeveless red shirt. He let out a breath as he stretched popping ever joint in his body. "Well, well; finally free.." He stated and placed the guitar case to the side pulling out a pack of cigarettes out of his jean pocket and lighting up one taking a drag.

after exhaling the smoke He looked around standing up straight he moved towards the kitchen area, opening the door to the fridge; "Beer well blow me down!" He said opening one and drinking it fast; letting out a large burp and then digging through the fridge for something to eat, finding leftovers of what appear to be. "Oh finally, there's never any decent food in hell.." He said pulling out several patties of cooked beef and digging for bread as he put them together beginning to chow down.

After finishing his first burger he chugged another bear, and popped the tab on the last one he could find as he dug into his second one walking back into the room where the kids were. He finished off what was in his mouth and took a drink from the beer plopping down in a chair. This place seemed decent enough; he didn't notice anyone in the near area; but someone had to have been playing with that board; that was how he got out anyways. He let out a relaxed sigh, just happy to be out of hell, that and having a full stomach; you never really got to eat down there.

Viva appeared not too long after Requiem. She had on her scariest face, a fierce expression, fire flaring in the background for effect. She looked around and frowned, the fire dying out in an instant. “Where’d they go?” she asked. “Requiem! Where are you?” she shouted, following the trail to the kitchen. She watched him chugging a beer and turned up her nose. “You’re a pig, you know that? Honestly, what kinda professional are you, stealing food from some kids’ cabins?”

She shook her head and crossed her arms, tutting and looking around. She thought she heard something from a different room and a wide smirk spread across her face. She turned away from Requiem, suddenly uninterested in his antics. “Ooh, ooh, I found them! I think, anyway.” She peeked around the corner and spotted one of the humans, a little girl in Viva’s mind. “Oh, hello there, little girl. There’s nothing to be afraid of. Come on out of hiding. What’s your name?”

Lulu heard the sound of a males voice almost as soon as she shut the door to the room she was staying in while at the cabin, but, the voice she heard wasn't from Mason. She turned and stared at her door and all kinds of thoughts started passing through her head, "who could possibly have broken in? Why did they break in? Do they know we're here? Did they see Mason and hurt him," she thought to herself, once again more concerned about another being than for herself. The thought of someone breaking in and hurting her hadn't even crossed her mind, she was more concerned about Mason and who was actually out there, but she didn't want to go check just yet.

She took a deep breath and paced for a moment; though, as she started to pace, she hit the side of the bed frame and let out an, "ow," and as soon as she did she could hear a female voice saying that she found them. This raised alarm in her, whoever these people were, they knew that herself and Mason were staying there; but just as this thought passed through her head, she saw the females head peek around and her curiosity kicked in automatically. Only for a short moment did she not have a smile, though when she plastered her smile back on, it looked almost too sweet, probably because, even though she was curious, she couldn't help but be a bit scared, though she'd never admit to that out loud.

Her smile twitched for a small moment, not even enough to be noticeable, as the female called her a little girl. When she told her that there was nothing to fear and asked what her name was, it just made her that much more curious, and she couldn't help but go over to her, though still a bit cautiously. She stopped a short distance from the strange female and spoke, "I'm not a little girl," she said first off, though for most people that statement would have left their lips as rude, she said it as if she were the cheeriest person on the planet. She took a look at the window, and though she couldn't see Mason, she wondered if they had found him first, though, she didn't plan on saying anything about him, just in case they didn't know he was there yet. She looked back at the female, "i'm Lulu, but who are you? And i heard another person before you," she said, completely ignoring the females statement about her coming out of hiding, she wasn't really in hiding, she just wasn't out in the open where they were.

Requiem only rolled his eyes at the woman sighing slightly as she stated he was a pig but other then that he just ignored her outright, though as she mentioned she found them he only shrugged putting down the half finished beer on the floor and grabbed his guitar case pulling the instrument out and strumming at the strings alittle. He was completely relaxed, happy to be out of hell. Who wouldn't be?

Though he stopped as he heard another voice, that wasn't Viva's, asking about another; which had to be him standing up still strumming at his guitar as he walked into view and smiled. "Hello mademoiselle that would have been me you heard" He said with a bow of his head and a wave of his hand as he bowed slightly. "Requiem Knightmare, Demon; guitarist, and the better half of this overly sexualized deviant.." He said pointing his guitar at Viva. He then turned and continued his strumming; introductions were out of the way, and he felt like returning to his chair; sitting back down and resting one leg on the opposites knee he continued to strum at his guitar, feeling gleefully ignorant to the situation around him.

Viva smiled widely once the child came out of hiding, walking towards her as if she didn’t have a fear in the world. Ah, she could remember those times. The times of childhood innocence, the times of trying to be brave despite the situation of danger, the times of standing up for herself and, even more, her friends. Those were the time, alright. She remembered those for sure… She remembered how much she hated them.

Still, she kept up her kind expression in the face of this girl—though, technically, Viva would have to admit this girl wasn’t just a child, more of a teenager. "I'm Lulu, but who are you? And I heard another person before you," the girl bravely said. Viva felt a little pride in finding her, but kept her mouth shut. She was about to speak to introduce herself, but none other than the big brute himself scooted his way beside her and introduced himself before she could utter a word, then he was heading back to the living room to lounge in a matter of minutes.

Viva sighed and rolled her eyes, pushing Requiem roughly as he made his way back to the other room. “Don’t mind him,” he told Lulu, looking back at the girl. “He’s not all that important anyhow. My name is all you need to know. Viva LaBelle. Pleasant, isn’t it? I know. And more of a demon than that brute will ever be,” she joked. Viva glanced around, knowing she was missing something, but unable to put a finger on it. Thinking for a moment, she looked down the hall and snapped her fingers. “Oh, that’s right! There’s someone else here, isn’t there? Where’s your little friend, hm? Be a dear and get him out here so I can see him, would you?”

Lulu turned her attention to the male as he walked up to the female and herself and introduced himself; she didn't much like the fact that he was just hanging around like he belonged there, and when he said he was a demon her smile twitched, "what is he talking about," she thought to herself. The fact that he had just went and said he was a demon made her think back on the little Ouija Board meeting Mason and herself had had just a few moments ago, had they really brought these two into the cabin? She wasn't sure if she could really believe that they had, or that these two were demons, she was just going to keep the idea of them just people who broke in as the main option in her head. Without even bringing up her own name, she just watched him as he walked away, then looked back to the female.

She listened to her words and when she said she was a demon as well her mind started racing; what if they really were demons and they had let them out of the Board, that meant it was her fault; she forced herself to keep the smile on her face as she shook her head slightly to herself. Though, as she asked her to go get her friend, knowing that there was supposed to be another one there, she looked down the hall then back at her, "okay," she said almost too uppity for what was going on around her.

She looked away and turned and headed down the hallway and made her way outside, her foot steps quickening as she moved closer. As she walked outside and saw Mason, she stopped; she thought for a moment about if she should really tell him. She wanted to just sit down and talk to him, ask him what was wrong, but right now, she needed him to know what was going on inside. She moved to where he was and sat down beside him, "Mason, there are people," she said and paused for a moment before speaking again, "in the house. There are people in the house. One of them wants you to come inside so she can meet you," she said, looking right at him. She was sure what she was saying sounded weird, but her smile remained as it always did, trying to lighten the awkward mood.

[OOC] Amidst The Demon Offering: Revitalized

"Amidst The Demon Offering: Revitalized"

.:Info:.
The Planchette is the little triangle thingie you use to let the spirits talk when you have your finger on it.

.:Rules:.
Now, there are a lot of rules IRL when it comes to Ouija Boards, but these are the ones i am going to have in this RPlay.

1.) Never Play Alone!
2.) If the Planchette goes to all four corners of the Board, you have contacted an evil spirit.
3.) If the Planchette does a figure 8 on the Board, that means an evil spirit is in control of the Board.
4.) Always be respectful and never upset the spirits.
5.) You must break the Board into 7 pieces, sprinkle it with holy water, and THEN burn it to dispose of it, if you just try to burn it and it is an evil spirit, it will scream and you will only have 37 hours left to live.
6.) NEVER leave the Planchette on the Board when you are not using it.
7.) NEVER trust a spirit completely, they may seem nice, but they are deceitful.

.:Way For Spirits To Get Out Of The Board:.

1.) Allowing them to count 1-0 or allowing them to go through the entire alphabet.
2.) Not closing the Board properly.
3.) Using the Board when you are sick, injured, or unstable/weak the spirit will possess your body to leave.
4.) Asking the Board when you are going to die.

.:Ways To Piss Off The Spirits:.

1.) Ask them about God.
2.) Not doing as the spirit asks you.
3.) telling the spirit it is lying.
