Personality: Takeshi really has three sides; the side all people see, the one he only shows Kairi, and then his playboy one, which he keeps a secret from everyone. First, the side of him that he shows to everyone and anyone, no needs for doubts or holding back. This side of him usually appears in class. Takeshi is often quiet and seems to have a sort of anxiety when it comes to females. He begins to stutter around them a lot, blush, and get embarrassed easily, which is true, in some manner, but most people tend to watch him from afar, but not because he's strange, but because he's popular. Strange, right? But apparently the people of the school liked his odd appearance and 'adorable' personality, yet people won't just walk up to him all the time; they'll observe him from afar and fangirl/fanboy from afar too, although Takeshi seems to be a little oblivious about this, and only this.
A second side to him is when he's around Kairi, his romantic interest. Even though he didn't like her when he was young and much different than who he is now, after a little while, he began to take a serious liking to her, which eventually evolved into a romance. Well, a one-sided romance, that is. Even though Takeshi gets anxious around girls, the one exception is Kairi. Why? Well isn't that obvious? They were childhood friends, so he was slowly eased into liking her and getting used to talking to her. And while he's also very quiet in class and hardly speaks to anyone, around her he can smile and laugh without shaking or stuttering, as much since he also tends to get embarrassed around her also.
And for the finale, the surprising side to him, is that Takeshi is actually a flirty playboy. Joke? Most definitely not. Now don't think that his past two personalities are just a cover up, he does get anxious around girls and has feelings for Kairi, but when it comes to being around actual women, he's like a completely different person. Although he's just 17, he usually lies to people and says he's around 22 years old instead and even acts more mature. No, he had no interest in older girls, and he only has his eyes on Kairi, in a serious way, but the explanation for his, well... habit, is because of his past. And in case you're wondering; no, he's not done it yet. He's still a virgin and the farthest he's gone with a strange is simply sleeping with that person, but sleeping means just sleeping. Still, no one has seen this side of him yet, and he still hopes no one does, especially Kairi.
