Benjamin is a tall stoic character. He’s what some may consider “tall, dark, and handsome.” He’s grew up a little on the chubbier side and once he hit high school, that’s when he no longer let it affect him. He started working out and became a well-built young man. Ben stands at 6 foot flat and his build is muscular. His hair is left short and his dark skin comes from his Afro-Brazilian roots.

His sense of style is typically business casual. Benji likes dressing well and likes looking good. His style can appear sometimes simple yet still professional. He likes to dress in simple suits for out of school activities and in simple, Sunday casual for school and such.

As of now, the boy has no tattoos but would like some. He wants to get a few tattoos to cover up his back, chest, and arm. He hasn’t decided yet what kind of tattoo he wants, but he wants something that reminds him of his Brazilian roots. Aside from that, all he has are his ears pierced. He has a few scars; one on his chest of a bullet wound. One on his back that runs from the top of his right shoulder to the middle of his spine, and a long one on his right arm from a knife wound.

P E R S O N A L I T YXT R A I T S
      ✦ Humble ✧ Tender ✦ Curious ✧ Defensive ✦

Ben is a very humble person. By growing up in the slums, he didn’t really have any other options. He had to make games out of sticks and stones, he had to make shoes out of old plastic and rubber material, he wore out hand-me-downs from it being the only clothes he had. He grew up with very little to his name and from that, has learned that being materialistic isn’t everything. Ben had to learn that happiness in life is more than what is given to you, but rather what you make of it. Life is temporary and Ben learned that the hard way.

While he has a tender personality, Ben also has quite a temper. He does what he can to keep himself calm, but one can only do so much. He’s soft spoken and doesn’t like letting this dark part of him appear, but if need be, Ben will most certainly act on it. His temper mostly derives from all the violence that he was in the midst of while as a child. He has what he would consider a form of PTSD. He often finds himself ducking upon hearing the backfire of a vehicle or similar noises, he gets aggressive when he believes someone is lying to him, keeping something from him, or is purposely trying to annoy him. Ben sticks up for himself, he sticks up for his family, and he sticks up for his friends. His temper is more of a short fuse type of situation. If anything is done that will trigger his anger, Ben is known to go into a blind rage of sorts. His eyes glaze over and his body tenses, Ben’s temper comes with immense strength. Get on his wrong side and the guy will pummel you into bits. He doesn’t care who stands in his way, he will rip people to pieces. He has a hard time trusting people and will often seem sort of shady, always keeping an eye over his shoulder and sleeping with one eye open.

Even with the occasional anger, Ben doesn’t really keep to himself. He’s got a very vibrant personality. He enjoys getting to know people. He spends a lot of time exploring new areas of cities and towns with hopes to find out more about not only the area but the people in the area. He is curious as to how social interaction works and how others work well with each other. From growing up in a violent and often less than civil city, when he sees towns where everyone knows each other and gets along, it intrigues him. Ben is charismatic, he knows what to say to please people – he knows how to use this to his advantage and while he doesn’t often because he prefers to try to stay often, Ben is fairly manipulative. You sort of learn how to be when everyone you know wants from you or is trying to kill you. Although he enjoys being around people, his past has taught him to be weary of people and their intentions. He knows that just because he’s true with his intentions, he knows that not everyone else is. He is careful who shares certain aspects of his life with. He may be an open book, it’s only to those who ask and only to those he’s learned to trust.

Ben is a fun guy. He’s flirtatious, he’s fun loving, he’s loud, energetic, charismatic and curious. He knows how to have a good time, unfortunately that’s due to him starting at such an early age, but the things he’s gone through while living in Brazil has humbled him. He’s never had much to live with so when his parents moved their family to the states, there was a bit of a culture shock. He likes to have a good time, but Ben doesn’t like to let the materialistic side of life overtake him. He’s sweet in that sense. He’ll give the shirt off his back to anyone who asks if they sincerely need it. Benjamin doesn’t play minds games, he doesn’t mess with people, he’s clear about his intentions most of the times.

His curiosity goes beyond the world in front of him. Ben enjoys exploring books, stories, poems, and even movies just as much as he enjoys exploring his surroundings. His parents moving him to the states allowed him to get a full and bright future in education and he made sure to delve deeply into the world of education offered to him once he left Brazil. He’s always got his nose deep in some books or website. He’s very intelligent and although sometimes he likes to play dumb, Ben is far from. He’s curious about how the world works and often times can find himself in a little bit of trouble with his exploring.

H I S T O R Y
Benjamin and his family were born and raised in Brazil. Benjamin and his parents lived in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. His mother was a house keeper and his father, a warehouse worker. Both parents were the children of farmers. The Cardoso family come from a long lineage of poor laborers. They had very little opportunities in Brazil and were looking to escape the corrupt world of drugs and gang lords. When Benji was 8, he was recruited by some of the older kids that were in a gang while living in Brazil. He spent the next 5 years of his life running with the dangerous gang. He was almost killed several times; he was shot, knifed, badly beaten. Eventually, his parents had enough of the life their son was living, with the little money they had saved up, they escaped for refuge to America. The young boy knew no English but quickly picked up on it as his parents put him and his siblings into school.

Both Sergio and Fabi were raised on the outskirts of the city in Brazil, making their living working on farms with their parents. Neither had a formal or proper education. However, neither are unintelligent or unaware of the world around them. Rather, they found other ways to learn the languages and wonders of the world around them. They met each other in a library, begging the world around them to teach them. They stumbled upon each other in an aisle and Sergio swears that he immediately fell in love with Fabiana. The way her brown eyes searched for knowledge, the way her lips formed to mouth words she had just learned, the way her hair fell in springs around her face. They were young when they met, 16 and 14. Fab was two years older than Sergio but that didn’t stop him from trying to woo her. It took him a full year before she finally gave in and started dating him. A few years later, Fab became pregnant with her first born, Marlon, out of wedlock. The two got married at a very young age and both were kicked out by their overly religious parents. The two found refuge in the slums of Brazil. Two years after Marlon’s birth came Benjamin, and within the following year came their last child, Beatrice.

While the boys were young, Marlon got into drugs and gang violence. Not long after, his own brother pulled him along into the trouble. The two nearly died several times – the two stuck together at all times and helped each other through the trouble. A few years into the gang violence and the several near death incidents, Sergio and Fabi decided that the life their boys were living was going to destroy the family. So the family packed up everything they had, withdrew every cent they had from the bank, and took their entire family to America. With very little money in their pockets, with no English on their tongues, and with hopes bigger than the sky, they moved to Florida. Now the family of five reside in Florida and the family is living much better than they had.

Moving to Florida wasn’t easy for the Cardosos. Fabiana and Sergio had to leave everything behind, and while their families were no longer in contact with them, they still had to leave behind full lives and friends. Fabiana, who worked as a maid in Brazil, started doing the same when she moved to the states. Sergio continued his work in a warehouse. Both started going to night school and learned English, and while their English is still mildly broken, they are in much better places than they started off with. Fabi now owns her own made service and Sergio is the regional manager of a shipping and receiving company.

“I never pictured myself being part of a fraternity when I was a kid. To be honest, I never pictured myself being in the states to begin with. So, now that I’m here, I’m definitely taking advantage of all the opportunities coming my way and this is just one of those opportunities. I like it, it’s different from what I picture American schools as, but it’s fun.”

For Ben, being able to join Greek Life is a dream come true. He feels as though he fits perfectly in the Kappa Alpha house. He’s there for his charm, his smarts, his all-around ‘good guy’ personality. For him KA is the best house option for him – they allow him to explore his thoughts, ideas, and creative side.

“I plan on taking the police exam and hopefully working with local law enforcement while I continue onto grad school to get my masters in behavioral psychology. I want to work as a behavioral analysist for the FBI so I’ll have to work my way up to that. I was never convicted of any crimes in Brazil so I have a ‘clean’ record so I know that’ll help me get up there.”

Ben was doing his best to calm Danny down, whispering in his ear ”Relax Dan, it’s okay. He’s just being a fucking prick.” Danny breathed in deeply. Ben was right, but the ignorant bastard wouldn't shut the fuck up. "I called you Benny 2.0 because I don't know, or care to know, your name. Besides all you Kappa guys are just as forgettable as each other, so does it really matter?" Danny looked at Ben. The comment reminded him that a fight would dishonor his house, but Danny wasn't about to keep taking shit from Archie. Maybe when he was sober, but he was to drunk for this bullshit. Archie kept pushing, "Now be a gentleman and back off. I know that's gonna be tricky for you, but c'mon don't scare the girls. Or piss them off, I'm pretty sure every one of them could fight better than you, bud." Next, Archie made a massive mistake. He winked at Daisy. Danny glanced over his shoulder to confirm, and sure enough, she was in the line the wink was sent. The hair on Danny's neck stood up. Daisy was his, at least for the night.

Danny was about to snap. He could feel the anger pricking at the surface. Keeping his eyes locked on Archie, he directed a comment at Ben in a whisper, "You go high. I go low. He can't take us both." Danny wanted to go now, but he wasn't going to pounce until Ben was down himself. Danny saw Hayden enter the group. That was good, extra backup if he needed it. "Ok seriously, you should back off now," Archie was directing the comments at Ben now. Ben turned to face the incessant idiot who kept talking. "We all know you're too pussy to do anything," Archie let out an arrogant chuckle, "Isn't that right, Benny?"

Danny saw Ben tense up, ready to spring. A chuckle protruded from Ben, and, in the blink of an eye, Danny watched instinct take over. As soon as Ben started to swing, Danny took off. He nailed Archie right around the waist, hearkening back to his middle school linebacker days. He had him pinned on the ground. After Ben's comment, Danny added a scream of his own, "You fucked with the wrong one tonight." He heard a cold fist land on Ben's temple. Ban could fight his own battles, and Hayden was there too. He had no intention of letting Archie up, but he had to admit the guy was strong.

Part of knowing Archie as well as Maddox did meant knowing what the boy was thinking almost before he thought it himself. The same could be said the other way around, which is why when their eyes met, Maddox immediately recognized that look. The same look that always came just before the Beta said something that could get him into a problem big enough where Maddox would have to step in and help. Surely enough, that’s exactly where this was going. "Besides all you Kappa guys are just as forgettable as each other, so does it really matter?" . Everything that followed that sentence was a blow to the Kappas’ ego, because regardless of what they all might say, their egos were just as inflated as the Betas’. If not more so. Maddox sighed in annoyance, already preparing himself for when he’d have to drag Archie’s ass out of there. He loved his little to pieces but the boy had a knack for creating scandals and Maddox was usually stuck dealing with the aftermath. Though the Beta didn’t necessarily disagree with what his little was saying, there was a time and place for everything. This was not the time, and it most certainly was not the place. Maddox could feel the phone in his jacket pocket vibrating urgently, and though taking his eyes off of the younger Beta could mean big trouble, he opted to check whatever was incoming. He was only allowed enough time to pull out his phone and unlock it before he heard what sounded exactly like flesh against flesh and looked up just in time to see Archie being tackled to the ground by the man he also didn’t care to know the name of. First instinct was to make sure none of the girls were close enough to get hit. It was unnecessary, just like everything else that was happening. Still, it was happening and once a punch is thrown, there’s no turning back. “Fuckin’ call me a pussy now, you bitch!” Real Classy Maddox thought, his annoyance now transforming into irritation and a little bit of anger.

Maddox had always prefered to fight with stabbing words instead of fists. Physically damage always healed, but emotional damage could last a lifetime. But given the fact that his little was being ganged up on by two (possibly three) blood-thirsty Kappas, it was more then clear that he’d have to step in. Before Benjamin could do anything else, the Beta quickly pulled him back with a harsh yank wrapping both arms around his neck and head to keep him in place, something he had learned as a young teen but never truly had any use for. Until now. He sharply pulled his head backwards and moved in close enough to almost whisper in the man’s ear. ”I suggest you think loooong and hard about your next move Benny, or you may regret it” his words came out as a low growl, not caring if the people around them heard. Part of the reason he always avoided violence was that it brought out a side of him and he didn't like, a side that no one would like, and Maddix could feel it boiling inside him ready to explode. The headlock he held Ben in made it so incredibly easy to break the man’s neck in one fell swoop, but once again, not the time nor the place. His job now was to get Archie the hell out of there before he made things so much worse, not break bones or injure Kappas. No matter how much he wanted to and damn did he really want to at the moment. He continued to hold Ben in place, hoping that the other Kappas would have enough common sense to get their shit together and stop making a scene, or that someone else would come and do it for then. The last thing Maddox wanted was to have to throw a punch, because if he did he might just end up killing someone.

Andre's words were honest, and Hudson could appreciate that, but they were words that he was already knew. A part of him was hoping that Andre would give him a more extreme answer, one that would solve his problem in an instant. If he told Hudson that he possessed some knowledge that Hudson was ignorant to, about how Audrey had swore to someone that she would never be anything serious with Hudson, then that would give him a solid reason to move on. If he told him that he was convinced that Audrey was playing hard to get, and that he could break through that sooner than later, then he wouldn't give up so easily. Andre was Hudson's best friend, so he took the man's words with more thought than he would have anyone else's, but it still left him in a position where he really needed to evaluate the situation and himself, on his own, and then decide. With a sigh, Hudson nodded. "Can always count on you for the words of wisdom, Valentine," he said, a minuscule smirk appearing as he tried to lighten himself up. He knew that he had to think all of this over, but he didn't need to do it here, right now. Audrey had already told him that she wasn't looking for anything tonight so it wasn't like the decision on what to do needed to be made immediately. Instead, Hudson told himself that he needed to relax and enjoy the night. He was ready to allow his smirk to grow, with the plan of asking Andre who was on his radar for the night, but those plans, along with the plan of relaxing, flew out the window in a matter of seconds when the commotion on the other side of the room became impossible for him to ignore.

"Fuck!" he said in a voice no louder than a hiss when he spotted two of his Betas involved in the scuffle. Of all nights, they had to pull this shit tonight, Hudson thought. He could feel his blood pressure skyrocket and his fists immediately balled up, as he navigated his way through the groups of people, careful not to shove any of the alumni in his way, like he actually felt like doing, until he reached the group. By the time he had made it there, Maddox was holding Ben, a Kappa, in a head lock, as a young man whose attire suggested that he worked for the venue tried to pry them apart, while two other men in similar uniforms were separating Archie and another Kappa, who Hudson recognized as Daniel. Especially at events like this, where behavior meant everything, Hudson wasn't a fighter. He wasn't out of shape, and he wasn't scared of fighting, even if, admittedly, there were guys like Andre, and Jack Decker, and Ben here, who probably but one hundred times more effort into perfecting their physique so that they could wreck people in fights like these.

Fighting just wasn't his thing. He felt it to be uncivilized and classless, and he was part of the class that preferred to fight things out in court, by suing people for ridiculous amounts of money for absolutely any wrongdoings. That was why it was just in his nature to believe that the Kappas started this fight. Legally and even simply appearance wise, given the importance of the event they were at, he knew that would be the best way that this horrible situation could play out - if he could make it seem like it was the Kappas who were on the offensive side. Luckily for him, it was Ben who had thrown the first punch, followed by Daniel tackling Archie to the ground. Both of those assaults were only provoked by words, which meant that legally, they had a case. Obviously, Hudson wasn't seriously planning on taking anything to court, but in his mind, it was important to know that if the law ever did get involved, that any aggression on your part only came out of self defense. He hadn't been here to actually know that that was what his Betas were acting in, but he was lucky that it was true. "Take him, and both of you, get the hell out of here," Hudson snapped, grabbing Maddox by his suit jacket to demand his attention, once he had released Benjamin from the headlock he was holding him in. Given that this event was not just for students, Hudson didn't want to make more of a scene that the two Betas and two Kappas had already made, so he forced himself to remain more calm than he thought could even be possible, given the situation, as he turned to two of the staff members who had rushed over. "And I want these two animals removed from this property immediately, or I'll have the police and my lawyer on the phone faster than your boss will be able to draft your termination notices," he threatened, again, his voice no louder than a hiss, to ensure that no one outside of the small group that this had occurred in, could hear him.

Spotting Daniel's face when he winks at Daisy, Archie can't help but open his mouth to get one final jab in there. That is until he is cut off by Ben's fist flying toward his face. While the punch didn't knock Archie to the ground, Daniel then rugby tackling him did. As Archie was pinned down, a deep ache beginning to hit from his jaw, Archie looked Daniel dead in the eyes. There was no way he was gonna let a Kappa (a fuckin' Kappa) take him down so easily.

Luckily for Archie, his Big quickly stepped into the fight. Wrestling Ben into a headlock, Archie then only needed to worry about Daniel. Archie wasn't one to often go around picking fist fights with everyone, he was rather fit and healthy, which meant that overpower Daniel and pushing him away from his own body, wasn't too hard. Wiping the side of his mouth to check for blood, Archie's eyes narrow as he looks on at Daniel. Oh how badly he wanted to beat the shit out of the guy. Unfortunately for Archie, he was a Beta and therefore knew that beating someone up at an Alumni event was quite possibly the stupidest thing he could do. In fact, Archie would be lucky if he didn't get at least a threat of being kicked out from his house for just this scuffle.

Sharp words and piercing insults were typically Archie's forte, but as Daniel had reduced himself to violent, what was the Beta to do? He couldn't just take it. Jumping up off of the ground, Archie manages to land a punch to Daniel's stomach - hopefully winding the guy - before he feels his arms being pulled back, and he is restrained by the events security. It is then that Hudson, the Betas fearless leader, decides to make his entrance. "Take him, and both of you, get the hell out of here," Hudson seemed to be repressing his anger, letting Archie know that he'd more than likely be seriously in for it later. Pushing the security off him, Archie sends Hudson an almost sincere apologetic look.

Knowing full well that he should be feeling bad for what just happened, Archie still couldn't quite bring himself to wipe the small smirk that forms on his face. Yes, this was the completely wrong place to do this, but at least everyone at the event had seen Ben swing first - Archie hadn't done anything wrong really. Deciding to take in their ever-growing audience, Archie realises that a fair few attendees had turned their attention to the fight.

Kappa Alumni stood, mouths almost hanging open in shock at what they had just witnessed their old houses' brothers do. The Beta Alumni had a rather mixed reaction, some seemed to almost be excited by what had just happened, while others looked down on Archie and Maddox with distain. The Sigma Alumni, however, simply seemed surprised that none of their own were apart of it.

"You're a fucking psycho, dude," Archie eventually says, after everyone else has gotten their two cents in. Looking pointedly at Ben, and then over at Ya Ya, Archie gestures to the still clear angry guy, that stood before him. "He's not really the nice guy you thought he was, huh?" Running a hand through his now dishevelled hair, Archie turns to leave (knowing that's what Hudson wanted) with Maddox, before he spots Daisy walking over once again. "At least I'm not pretending to be something I'm not," Letting his hand glide down her arm, Archie's smile softens slightly, "Which is more than I can say for these two - be careful Daze." Turning to Daniel for the last part, Archie finally takes his leave, hoping Maddox will catch him up.

As he heads for the door, Archie sneaks one final look at Naomi, half hoping she'd come with him but also knowing that was probably not going to happen, he lets the door swing shut behind him as Archie is greeted by the cool night air. He rubs the place where Ben's fist connected with his jaw and sighs, that was definitely not how he saw the night going. Although, it wasn't quite over yet. He hoped there wouldn't be anymore fights, but wouldn't be exactly mad if one of the girls decided that he was a hero (which he thought he was honestly) and came running outside after him, into his arms. Wishful thinking.

"Trust me, nothing's really changed in the house, I swear," Nick exclaimed in between fits of laughter and Jessie chuckled by the shared memory. Despite probably being able to say that he was allowed to feel just slightly miffed that all of his Kappa brothers dissed him only seconds after one another, Jessie's return with drinks and the fact that he still felt awkward about texting Wes - particularly since he still hadn't heard a word from him since earlier - enabled him to put aside all thought of either situations. The Kappa house hadn't. Hanged much but the absence of the brothers he had looked up to was definitely noticeable. People assumed all of the Kappas were meek, boring and just into their studying, but there was nothing boring about Jessie leading a group of them last year into a ridiculous display of foolishness by sliding down the step on mattresses. Or that time that they had pranked all of the sophomores by taking all of their clothes and hiding them. It was a touch cruel and sure, Nick had caved and allowed a few to borrow his own. But the point was that there were good memories. And reminiscing instead of costing on his own issues was definitely a lot more fun. That also could have been the rum and coke talking.

"You still talk to Amaris? You guys were real close last I checked." It was small talk and Nick probably, if it were up to Amaris, should have started at least moving around the venue. Then again, he wasn't aware that his brothers were currently engaging in unnecessary drama since it would have incited his protectiveness and need to placate, but Nick swallowed back the last of his drink without hesitation. The comfortable area within the pool area's lounge was a safe space he wasn't in the mood to leave. So he nodded jovially while replying in the positive, "Yeah, she's somewhere here, probably judging people at the bar." Jessie laughed outright, thigh pressing gently against Nick's as he leaned back, and Nick acutely felt that shift in body language. It made him smile, awkwardly, and when the other guy excused himself to take a phone call, Nick pulled his phone out, hesitated for only a moment and then decided to text Weston one more time.

To: Wes
Are we ok? I thought I would've heard from you by now or seen you...and I haven't. Idk what to think rite now

The amount of people taking in the situation ebbed and flowed with understandable tension yet disassociation, allowing Amaris to continue watching from her perch at the bar with Blake. Naturally, alumni didn't always aspire to involve themselves in nor entertain the rambunctiousness and immaturity prevalent in college students. Most were full-fledged adults, if not already on the cusp of obtaining the title, lending to the either uninterested or annoyed demeanors Amaris hated noted. She didn't blame them either. Kappas weren't typically involved in as many physical altercations as Betas and esoecially Sigmas had, despite her disdain for having to acknowledge the legitimacy of certain stereotypes. And considering how much love Amaris had for her Kappa brothers and the time a he had had spent with them since her induction into Theta Chi, it should come to no surprise that things like these - unnecessary fights - just weren't things her boys got involved in. So, she didn't have to pay attention nor even involve herself in the proceedings or even aftercare. Not unless she knew one of the people involved Anschluss wanted to make sure they were okay by both smacking them upside their heads while making sure they weren't seriously her yet, even though most paid attention to and complained about the former. However, at least two of her boys - her friends - had acted violently first and Amaris cursed on another sip of her drink when she had seen Ben throw that punch. She definitely felt like not attempting to disassociate when she saw Hudson appear. His presence made her since, particularly once she saw the murderous fire in his eyes. "Damn it, I need to go over there." she stated and grabbed her phone, glancing back at Blake. "Watch my purse for me, babe? I'll be right back."

By the time Amaris had made her way over to the small group, both Daisy and Yuda had been long gone and while her phone vibrated in lieu of a text, hopefully from one of her Theta babies since they always held precedence over any others, Amaris chose not to glance st the device nor acknowledge it so insustence that she do so. Mostly, her attention was focused on the current scene she and the boy surely contained further in Hudson's eyes. Absolutely the two security personnel that had approached upon his requesting that Ben andre Danny be escorted off the premises. "No need to touch them," she insisted, stepping in between Ben and the security guard who was reaching out to grab her in. It was probably in everyone's best interest that Ben wasn't touched, particularly with force by someone he didn't know now but or twice rust. And they aren't off to buy each other friendship bracelets to exclaim to the work that they were besties, but there was no denying that ATL they were good friends. And disappointed Amaris may have been considering she had not heard the conversation leading up to the violence, as noted in the sharply pleading state she met Ben's gazes whrg, she also wasn't going to let him get manhabdled. She did place a gentle yet firm hand on Danny's arm. "They'll go willingly. I'll walk them out myself." The last part wasn't spoken, nor just to the security, but with a direct stare at Hudson. She had a strong feeling that he's really at her right up but bith bits and the entire Kappa Alpha reputation to shreds, and she really didn't feel like an argument. Ben and Danny didn't need to get forced out, the entire situation just got dramatic fast, and she was hoping that she and Hudson were on the same page in chanting the situation to be done with so that no one talked about it.

Finally, her attention was focused solely on Danny and Ben, and Amaris squeezed the forner's shoulder lightly. "Guessing you won't be able to get that dance after all, huh?" She whispered to Danny, mostly to get the the pinched expression off his face with a light jest. "You okay?" Was the follow-up since, regardless of wanting to chastise them both, their well-being took precedence. Her gaze rose back to Ben's a smile she asked, "You good, Ben? Let's head out so I can see you biys hine."

Maddox held Benjamin in place for as long as he could, not so much to fight, but more so to keep him from causing any more damage. Not that he wasn’t tempted to knock the man’s teeth out. He and Ben always kept things civil, never really having any kind of problem, until now. ”Take him and both of you, get the hell out of here” Maddox had heard that tone many times before, never really directed at him, but it was all too familiar. Archie was going to get an earful from their irritated president later, and stepping in to clean up after him meant that Maddox would too. One way of the other. Still, his entrance was like a breath of fresh air. He sighed, still just as annoyed as he was when this all started, and straightened his jacket after almost reluctantly letting go of the main problem behind all this. Animals, as Hudson described, was truly accurate. The Kappas loved to walk around badmouthing the Beta house and everyone in it, yet the Betas weren’t the ones causing a scene in the middle of an important social event for absolutely no reason. They weren't as innocent as they liked to pretend to be, and they had just proved that to everyone in the room.

The event security, and Hudson, seemed to have everything under control which meant that it was time for Maddox to give Archie a piece of his mind. Following the younger Beta outside, he took in a breath of fresh air before firmly positioning himself in front of the other. ”Tell me, Archer, do you just love having me clean up after your messes?” the mam said, arms folded across his chest, genuinely irritated with his little. It was becoming a habit, it seemed, for Maddox to have to step in and get his ass out of trouble. It was starting to become a bit bothersome. Mad would never hesitate to help him, but that was exactly the problem. Archie new that and sometimes it felt like he took advantage of it. ”Do you have any idea what could have happened if I wasn’t there?” at this point Maddox could care less about the scene that was caused, no doubt Hudson would handle everything smoothly just as he always did. His main concern was Archie himself. Benjamin had managed to land a good punch on his face and with Benny 2.0 on his side, Maddox was convinced they would have done some heavy damage. Easing up his stance a bit, he let his hands fall to his side with a huff. ”Honestly, what am I going to do with you. The amount of stress you cause me, I should just quit my job and become your mother full-time” his tone was significantly less rigid now, but still firm enough to let Archie know he wasn’t happy with this. More than just Big and Little by title, they were friends, and driving Archie to the hospital with a busted eye or lip was not something Maddox would have liked to have to do. Luckily, there didn’t appear to be much damage, he decided, after running a hand over the side of his jaw where Ben hand landed the punch. ”Doesn’t look too bad” he muttered, letting his hands ease into his pockets. ”Just ice it for a while and it should be gone in a couple of days”. This entire situation felt all too familiar. Last time it happened they were both drunk, stressed and confused which led to a drunken hook-up. Something the two of them swore to never bring up again. Still, it hasn’t been that long since it happened, which meant that the confused feelings were still hanging around. ”How long do you plan on staying?” he asked, hoping he’d say it wouldn’t be much longer. Maddox wanted nothing more than to leave the event right then and there, but if Archie stayed, he would have to stay too to make sure the trouble maker didn’t go around provoking more fights. Even though, if Archie stayed behind on his own, Hudson would most likely be monitoring him the rest of the night. Still, if ARchie gave the word, he would stay.

Everything came crashing down in a matter of seconds. A punch to the jaw, a tackle to the ground, a head caught in a strong lock. Naomi instinctively stepped back from the brawl, only to step forward again.

"Guys! Guys! Cut it out! Archie, stop! Danny, get off him!"

Her cries may as well have been whispers, for all the good they did. The boys kept fighting, and it wasn't until a couple of bouncers approached, followed shortly by Hudson, that they were all separated.

Catching Archie's self-satisfied smirk, she felt a jab of frustration.

You idiot. Are you seriously proud of yourself?

Then he glanced back at her, and she felt a pang of something else. Concern? Regret? It couldn't be either. Why should she be concerned? He started the whole debacle when he began talking out of his ass. And as for regret... as if she had anything to be regretful for. The scenario that had played out was set in stone. There was no replays to be had. No try again's.

Honestly, it was probably a good thing.

Still, her gaze lingered for a moment on the retreating pair before she sighed and turned to Yaya, eyes clear with concern. Reaching out to touch her shoulder reassuringly, she asked her sister the very obvious question.

"You okay?"

The whole thing ended almost as fast as it had started. Archie connected an elbow to Danny's forehead, causing Danny to loosen his grip. Archie wriggled free, and landed a blow in Danny's gut. Danny's breath caught in his chest for a few moments causing him to lose focus. Hudson was yelling something that Danny didn't really listen to, and security guards were pouncing on him and Ben. Danny spotted Amaris coming towards them. "No need to touch them," she said calmly as she approached. The guard loosened his grip, and Danny jerked his shoulder away, stepping closer to Amaris. She placed a hand on his arm, starting to pull him away. "They'll go willingly. I'll walk them out myself." Danny let a small smile form on his face. Amaris was always so calm, so in control. He admired that about her.

Danny kept his head down as they exited the crowd. Once free of the cluster of people, he glanced up to see Daisy in passing. Archie passed by and whispered in her air, glancing at Danny. Danny tensed up again, but the gentle touch of Amaris on his shoulder helped him relax. Her tone was soft, helping him refocus on her, "Guessing you won't be able to get that dance after all, huh?" She whispered to Danny. "Yeah, maybe another time." Danny half smiled at the girl. She was being genuine and checking on him. "You okay?" she asked. Danny laughed off the question softly, "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for the errrr... help. He scratched the back of his head as he spoke. She really had saved their asses. She turned back to Ben, "You good, Ben? Let's head out so I can see you boys home."

Danny nodded at her and begun his walk to the door. He really was ready to leave. Remembering Daisy behind him, Danny detoured her way on his way out. He leaned in close to her, scratching his head nervously again. He still wanted her with him at the end of the night. Trying to speak softly in light of the past five minutes, he said, "So ummm... I'm gonna head out with Amaris and Ben. You mind ummm... maybe coming back to the Kappa house with me. You could help me clean this up." He rubbed the cut on his eye made by Archie's elbow and pointed at the small blood stain on his tie. He smiled at Daisy, looking her up and down. She was absolutely gorgeous. She may have actually had Danny nervous at the moment. He hoped his impulsiveness hadn't ruined his chance at taking her home.

Before he left the party he decided to shoot out a few text.

Did Ben and Daniel just get kicked out? Of an ALUMNI event? Holy hell. Hayden was confused. Didn't the other guy start it.

"Um what the hell," the Kappa spoke. He moved towards the two who got into a fight with his Kappa brothers and silently looked at them. "Sorry if I'm intruding, but, may I ask what the hell started that fight? I don't think my friends would honestly attack without reason, the male asked. He looked towards Maddox and Archie. He realized he only knew one of them, and that was barely. He did know about Ben and Daniel's temper. But they were at an event where it should've been kept under control. He decided to send a text towards the Kappa guys and was a bit upset.

TO: Big Ben, St. Nick, & ❤ Danny ❤
WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!? I want an explanation via text, right now. I'm not very sure this will end good. I want to talk to both Nick and Ben when I get home.

Hayden stood there looking at the two males. They looked pretty cute with their injuries. Too bad, they got into a fight with his Big Brother and best friend.

"Get the fuck off of me! Get your fucking hands off me!"
Stuck in a headlock, Ben wrestled against the tight hold Maddox had on him, trying to get out. To no avail, Ben started to calm down – not by choice, but rather by force. The grip Maddox had around the Kappa’s neck was causing Ben to see stars. The red from Ben’s eyes disappeared, but the rage inside him did not. Maddox only eased his grips when Hudson came to face the altercation, threatening with police and lawyers had the Kappa brothers not been escorted off the premises. Ben stood up straight, rubbing his neck where the hold was the tightest. He directed his eyes towards Archie, who had decided to keep running his mouth. Ben furrowed his brows and narrowed his eyes to Archie but said nothing. Something instinctual come over Ben the moment he swung, something he had left in Brazil, in his past. Archie brought it out of him, and this was the exact moment where Ben realized that Archie was much more dangerous for Ben than he had originally thought. Before Hudson could get police on the premises and before anyone unknown to Ben forcibly removed him from the event, Amaris made her way through the crowd, personally escorting the two Kappa’s outside. Ben nodded to the girl when she asked if he was alright – still too angry to use words, but more than ready to disappear from the embarrassment he just caused all his friends and alumni.

Yaya watched as Ben was escorted out by Amaris and quickly went into action. She followed him and Danny outside, not sure if she should embrace him or not. She bit her lip, when Ben got like that it was kind of a damned it you do damned if you don't situation, but eventually rolled her shoulders and approached him outside. She stroked one of his marred cheeks and tilted her head to the side, "C'mon why did you do that Benji?"She said leaning up to kiss the corner of his mouth where his lip was bleeding. Ben wanted to pull away from Yaya. He wanted to tell her to stop touching him because he was still fuming and sore. He wanted to yell when she started lightly scolding him for getting into a fight. "Dammit you can't just fight in front of the benefactors." She added crossing her arms over her chest.

Ben looked at Yaya as she crossed her arms across her chest, no longer touching Ben where he got hit. His burrows were still furrowed, his face still showed anger. Ben wanted to do so much right now, but he didn't. He eased his eyebrows from their angered position, took a deep breath and loudly exhaled. Ben broke eye contact with Yaya, "I know babe. I know. I fucked up. I just want to go home now, okay? I don't want to argue anymore." Ben turned back to look at her. "My face hurts, my neck is sore. I just want some ice and to lay down."

Abigail couldn't believe the actions from the three guys that had just transpired before her. She was in utter shock and stunned that they would do something like that in front of the alumni. Abby really wanted to break them up but she was a little bit too short and fragile for all of that, so there wasn't much she could do. Her eyes watched as people dispersed from the area and new people came over to break them up along with escorting them outside. She had let out a soft sigh as she walked over to the bar and placed the drink that was handed to her by Daniel down upon the counter top. After that, she walked outside and searched for Ben.

Her gaze went over towards him as she also saw Yaya standing over there with him with her arms folded. 'This might not be a good time.' Abby thought to herself but walked over there anyway in a hesitant manner. When she approached the duo, she stared at Yaya first before switching her gaze over towards Ben. "Hey, just wanted to come over and make sure that you were okay."' She said then looked at his face and widened her eyes. "Oh, my goodness, you're bleeding and you look a little bruised. Be right back." She said as she walked back into the building for a few minutes then came back out with ice wrapped in a towel as she handed it towards him. "There you go." She said with a smile then looked over towards Yaya before shifting her eyes back to Ben. "We really need to clean that cut, as well. Don't want it to get infected." She added.

Yaya watched as Abigail cared for Ben and felt a pang of jealousy form in the pit of her stomach. She took the towel and ice from her and placed herself directly in front of Ben, "Actually,"She said gently placing the ice on the side of Ben's face that was bruised, "We don't need to do anything" She clarified, annunciating the "we" more than necessary. "I'm taking Ben back to the house and I'm going to take care of him." She sent a meaningful glance over her shoulder before turning her head back around to stare at Ben's chest rather than his eyes.

"I'm telling you, as my little that you should either go back to the house and keep your nose out of this trouble or you need to get back in there and make yourself useful." She locked eyes with ben, "Unless you have some reason unknown to me why my little should be taking care of you." Her hazel eyes pierced into his and she wondered if he could see the the emotions raging inside of her.

Ben's chest felt a little tight. He liked that there was a fire being lit under Yaya ass that finally made him feel less crazy for being jealous. She was finally feeling what he had been feeling every time he'd stop by her job and see her with all the guys she worked with. At the same time, he didn't want Ayala to feel the same pressure he did. It hurt seeing her working with all those guys, and as much as he appreciates that she understands now what it feels like, he doesn't want anyone feeling this way, much less Yaya. Ben looked at Abigail and back at Ya, making eye contact with the girl. Her eyes pierced through him like she was looking into his soul. It scared him a little, to be honest. He took a breath before speaking, he was afraid to speak at all. "I mean, if she doesn't want to stay at the party, I don't see why she can't come back with us, but that's between you two. You're obviously the one taking care of me, babe." A bead of sweat moved down Ben's temple. He was treading very deep waters right now; one wrong move and all would be over for Ben.

Yaya slid her gaze from Ben to Abby and shrugged non-committedly, "Well?" She said with just a hint of attitude,"Are you coming or staying? Because I'm calling the uber now." She glanced up at her as she opened the app on her screen, "It'll be here in five minutes." She said finally once she requested the ride. Though in all honesty she was saying it more to Ben than to Abby because she didn't really want Abby to go with them.

Amaris didn't say another word to Ben once he gave her the affirmation to his well-being, instead nodding slowly and walking with the duo outside. While she had to raise an eyebrow at the fact that Danny had made the detour to include Daisy on his leave of the event, she couldn't help but appreciate the brunette's inability to be silent on the matter and chastise him for Amaris. Because she was going to do so - it just so happened that Daisy beat her to it. So, while the two sophomores conversed lightly, Amaris walked with Ben, opting to keep an acceptable amount of distance, not because she felt like she could provoke him, but out of self-preservation anyway. As much as she hated thinking about it, she had too much experience with being close to someone ready to blow a fuse or just coming down from the high of an over-to-soon display of violence - even if Ben didn't consider her a target at all, she had been one before and she wouldn't be one tonight. Luckily, though Amaris rethought that once she saw how Benny still wasn't calming down with Yaya's presence, his girlfriend-not-girlfriend appeared and he was distracted. Amaris pulled her own phone up to pull up the Uber app, belatedly seeing the text from Yuda. It made her roll her eyes, but she decided to text the girl before returning to Uber.

To: Yuda
It's early in the night, babe. If you want to leave, by all means, come outside. I'm calling an Uber for Daisy and Danny.

"Alright, you two," she called, distancing herself from the now group of three now that that other Alpha girl was present, and approaching the two. She gave Daisy a pointed, questioning look, but said nothing about the apparently budding relationship. Danny flirted with everyone; it was nothing new. And she had a lot of love for the sophomore. It didn't mean she couldn't side-eye him when he showed interest in any of her girls. "I'm heading back inside. Your Uber should be here in ten minutes and I think Yuda's coming with. I would've seen if Ben wanted to ride with you two, but umm...I don't think that," she made a nod to the tension of the trio that was away from them, "was something you two wanted to deal with, especially if Yuda is riding with you." Amaris acted out a partial shudder at what could unfold if Yuda had to deal with anymore prolonged social interaction, especially if more drama happened to be involved. She wouldn't be surprised if the girl or Daisy text her saying that Yuda had asked to be let out of the car and called an Uber of her own to get home, just to escape it. She fixed Daniel with a sharp stare while demanding, "Behave." Then, her gaze softened and she reached out to graze his forehead lightly with her thumb. "Sober up, idiot." Finally, she met Daisy's eyes and smiled. "And text me when you get back to campus and where you'll be." Amaris gave Daisy one more pointed look, accompanied by a knowing smirk, before turning away from the two and beginning to head back inside.

Amaris ended up stopping herself and approaching the trio, attention focused solely on Ben. She wasn't one of those friends who felt the need to ask permission with their eyes to the significant other if they could speak to their friend. Before there were boyfriends and girlfriends, there were friends and she and Ben were good ones. And, though she did like Yaya and their primarily fashion-related conversations from time to time, the Alpha junior was not her concern. Ben was. "Hey, I called an Uber for Danny and I think Daisy might be going with him back to the house, so you don't have to worry about him, okay?" Mindful of the fact that Yaya seemed to be blocking the other Alpha from getting any closer to him, Amaris smirked lightly before coming over to Ben's left side, leaning up on her tippy toes with the aid of her heels to add lowly so that only he could hear, "And let me know if Allen actually holds true to his little promise of lawsuits. You and I both know impulsiveness and empty threats make up the bulk of Beta personalities, but still," she leaned away and smiled up at him gently. "You and I both also know that I am very adept at getting my way when I want to." Amaris gave him a wink and a friendly squeeze of his arm, nodded to both Yaya and the other Alpha while stating, "You all get home safely", and the proceeded to get back inside to Blake, her Cosmopolitan, and whatever drama that the night had in store.

Abby eyed Ayala whenever she took the ice wrapped in a towel from her and tended to Ben's bruised face. Yet, she still stood there and looked at Ben then her gaze bounced over towards Ayala. She stayed silent for a moment then parted to lips to speak but chose not to as Ayala asked Ben if there was so other reason she should be taking care of him and not Ayala. She looked up at him and heard his response then lowered with a little chuckle. Of course, typical Ben to bounce around the question and not answer. Abby looked back at Ayala with a sudden smile. "Actually, I'll ride back with you guys. I don't think there's anything left for me in there, honestly." She informed Ayala as she continued to speak. "I wouldn't want to ride alone with a stranger." Her lips pursed into the form of a slight smirk as she eyed Ayala then bounced her gaze over towards Ben. She really wanted to say something to the both of them but decided against as everything will hit the fan within due time. Her eyes went over towards Amaris, who was talking to Ben as she nodded her head back towards her and gave her a little wave of her hand as she trotted off. Abigail continued to stand there beside Ben and Ayala until their uber ride came. "Too bad we never got a chance to dance, Ben." She muttered softly towards him as their uber arrived before them. She allowed Ben and Ayala to get inside of the vehicle before her as she got in last then took out her cell phone to send out a group text towards Yuda and Daisy.

To: Yuda :), Daisy :)
Riding with Ben and Yaya. You girls get home safely. :)

After she sent those texts, she leaned back in her seat with a soft sigh and stared out of the window for the duration of the ride.

"Behave." Amaris rubbed the knot on his forehead lightly, "Sober up, idiot." Danny looked up at her. Her gaze was soft and firm. He smiled a half smile at Amaris, adding in a quick, "Gotcha." He followed that with a thumbs up. Danny was a little bit more drunk than he realized, and his body swayed as he looked at her. Refocusing himself, he watched a Amaris told Daisy to be sure and text her when Daisy decided where she would sleep for the night. Danny smiled and mouthed a thank you at Amaris before she walked away. Turning her attention to Danny, Daisy asked, "So, what series are we planning on marathoning?"

Danny smiled as he placed his hand on his chin, feigning thoughtfulness. "Well... the third season of The 100 just went up on Netflix, or we could go with an old school Gossip Girl marathon. I mean you do remind me of Blair Waldorf." Danny raised his eyebrows suggestively. Danny stood up, making a loop with his arm. He nodded for Daisy to allow him to escort her to the Uber. He continued with a playful tone, "Either one is fine with me." He headed towards the door with Daisy on his arm. When they reached the exit, Danny held the door for her, surveying the party one last time before they left.

He saw Ben, and Danny could feel the tension of the trio across the room. Danny laughed to himself. Ben was never one to live a boring life. He made eye contact with him for a second, leaving him a suggestive goodbye nod. With that Danny turned towards the cold air. He breathed it in, allowing it to sober him up just a tad. He walked to a bench sitting down gently, brushing off the other half so Daisy wouldn't have to sit on leaves. "The Uber should be here in a second. You'd better text Yuda and make sure she makes it."

xxxxxxx"All the makeup in the world won't make you less insecure."

Yaya had an attitude. She did not want to deal with the fact that she'd have to discuss the fight with Audrey because it was her guy who threw the first punch at a fucking Beta for god sake. She didn't want to deal with the fact that now Ben, her kind of but not really boyfriend, now had real problems with one Archie, one of the few guys she had in her life that she actually trusted for the most part. In fact saying she was annoyed was an understatement.

She had opted to sit in the very back of the large SUV that came to pick them up and she couldn't help but to eye her presently very unwanted little. It wasn't a secret that Yaya hated when people touched her stuff. Even something as small as someone using her makeup without her permission made her want to pop the girls so why Abby thought she'd be all cool with her and Ben she didn't know. And why Ben, who an hour ago wanted to get back together, looked so damn pleased was another mystery to her. She cocked her head to the side and twirled a thick dark lock of hair around her hair, "It's too bad you decided to come back with us." She said leaning forward, "You might have had someone to go home with."She looked across the seat at him with all intentions to say something smart but when she saw her own annoyance mirrored in his expression she felt herself soften or at least she felt herself wise up. Tonight was probably not the time to poke the bear.

She scooted into the seat that was separating them and leaned over to take the ice out of his hand and place it in hers. She lifted it up to his face gently and kept it there the rest of the car ride. That's not to say she wasn't still annoyed because she was, to put it simply: She didn't feel like fighting, they fought too much as it was and she didn't want to start their relationship again with fighting. Last year they fell into the habit of either being really loving and healthy or being completely volatile, no in between. She wanted things to be different this year so she was going to set aside her questions about Archie and Abby aside for now. They pulled up in front of the house and she, with assistance from ben because that dress was not made for function, climbed out of the car and led him into the house. She didn't really feel the need to wait for Abby because why should she? Abby lived there too so she knew how to get from the car to the front door.

She paused into the kitchen to get him one of the jelly ice packs that they kept in the freezer before leading him upstairs to her room. She paused at her door and called out to Abby and whoever else might still be in the house, "I don't want to be disturbed by anyone."

She sat Ben on her bed and quickly went to work of grabbing things for the bathroom adjacent to her room. She first grabbed a first aid kit as well as a damp washcloth and some antiseptic spray. She stood in between his legs and lifted up his hand, his knuckles were bruised from the fight, and sprayed it with the antiseptic and cleaned it with the alcohol pads, "Sorry about the sting," She said gently before setting them aside to wrap the marred hand up. She kissed his bandaged knuckled and pushed some stray hairs behind her ears before moving from in between his legs.

"I'm going to get changed." She said before slipping her dress off. She figured there was no point in protecting her modesty because Ben had seen her naked multiple times. She slipped on a pair of shorts and a tank top before leaning down to the bottom drawer and turning to Ben, "I ah have some of your clothes if you're staying the night." She didn't add that she hoped he would indeed stay the night or that the clothes were going to smell like both of them because she had been sleeping in them pretty regularly.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
There was a lot of tension in the air. It weighed thick and heavy like a veil covering the clean air around the trio - Abby, Yaya, and Ben. Ben was obviously upset by the events that had just previously transpired, but more than anything right now, he was nervous. The fresh start he and Yaya had discussed earlier in the night seemed to be turning sour very quickly. Before the Uber arrived to take Ben, Ayala, and possibly Abby home, Amaris strolled over, slightly easing the tension to make sure Ben was okay. "Hey, I called an Uber for Danny and I think Daisy might be going with him back to the house, so you don't have to worry about him, okay?" Ben nodded to Amaris, and as she was readying herself to walk away from the trio, she stood on her toes to whisper into Ben's ear. "And let me know if Allen actually holds true to his little promise of lawsuits. You and I both know impulsiveness and empty threats make up the bulk of Beta personalities, but still," Amaris leaned away and smiled up at Ben, "You and I both also know that I am very adept at getting my way when I want to." Amaris lightly squeezed his arm as she was departing, she turned to the other two and smiled at them. "You all get home safely." Ben smiled at the girl, as she walked away, he called out to her, "You too, love! I'll text you later."

Ben turned his attention back to Abby and Yaya, who held enough tension between the two of them to suffocate Ben. Ben stuck his right hand in his pocket, while his left hand held onto the ice pack that rested on his face. Once Abby decided she was going to ride with the two of them, they waited alongside each other, waiting for the car to drive up. Standing next to the smaller girl, Ben could hear Abby mutter to him, as the SUV pulled up, "Too bad we never got a chance to dance, Ben." Ben peered down slowly at her, "I'm sorry, Abby." There was a lot behind that apology. Not just for the missed dance, or for the fight, or the drama. But for the way he was hurting her now, for the things he allowed her to believe, for the way he was pulling on heart strings. Ayala climbed into the SUV first, sitting in the back row. The expression on her face slightly frightened Ben, so he sat one row above her. He felt as though it was necessary to give her a moment to breathe. As the car began to move, the silence stirred Ben's thoughts. You're really fucking up right now. Get it together, Ben. You're going to lose everything if you don't cut this shit. Ben sighed to himself, and it seemed as though that was all that was needed for the silence to be broken because from behind him Ayala leaned forward to speak, "It's too bad you decided to come back with us, you might've had someone to go home with." Ben's eyebrows furrowed once more, his head cocked slightly to the side in equal parts annoyance and confusion at Ayala's comment. He shook his head gently, in a way of showing his girlfriend-not-girlfriend that he was disapproving of the attitude she was exhibiting. That seemed to do the trick in calming her down, at least momentarily. The uber pulled into the Alpha residence, Ben pulled his wallet out of his back pocket and used the last of his cash in his wallet to pay and tip the driver.

Stepping out of the car, Ben left a hand out to assist Yaya out of the car. Before Abby had a chance to step out herself and also receive help from Ben, Yaya was dragging him inside. They went upstairs after she grabbed a few items to help clean him up, Ben wanted to apologize again to Abby but Ayala didn't allow him the opportunity to so much look at the girl, let alone talk to her. He made a mental note to try to find her later on. Ben was sat down on Yaya's bed as she moved in between his legs and started cleaning him off, only after she announced to anyone in the house - though Ben knew it was indirectly meant for Abby - to not disturb them. Ayala cleaned Ben's cuts, apologizing for any stinging that might occur from the antiseptic. He winced at the sting, but otherwise didn't mind. He watched her as she worked delicately on him. He paid close attention to the way she moved quickly but with precision. He watched her eyes as she focused on him and nothing else. Ben felt him heart and face softening. He was calming down and was remembering how happy he was to be with her. Ben continued to watch her as she got changed, slipping so smoothly out of her dress, and then offering Ben clothes had he decided to stay the night. Yaya stood by her dresser, with a handful of clothes that she had undoubtedly taken from Ben when he's previously stayed over. A smirk crept across his lips, he stood from the bed and walked slowly to her. "When will you stop being mad at me?" Ben asked in a hushed tone, as he leaned down so his mouth would reach her ear. He slipped his right arm around the girls waist and started to gently kiss her cheek and neck, in hopes that it would keep her from staying mad at him. The air around them was quiet and intimate, and as he stood there with her, Ben remembered, again, what it was like to love Ayala.

xxxxxxx"All the makeup in the world won't make you less insecure."

"When will you stop being mad at me?"
Yaya sighed heavily. It felt like a loaded question even though the answer was simple, she wasn't mad at him. She was mad at the situation that they were suddenly in. As much as she loved to say she hated drama, and she genuinely did, she always found herself in some, especially when it came to Ben. She didn't have many people that she really truly cared for. She made it a point to not get attached to people so if or when they left it wouldn't affect her but he slid so easily into her life and now the thought of him not being in it made her fucking neurotic. She was dealing with emotions she had never dealt with before. But she also knew that if she pushed him away that he might actually go this time so she decided tonight wasn't the night to fight.

"You can't be all sweet and smooth after you got me all riled up," She said in between a giggle when Ben kissed her neck, a move that anyone who wasn't Ben would think was uncharacteristic or her, but Ben would know it was an easy sign that she wasn't mad anymore and that she was still a little tipsy. She lifted herself up quickly so she could sit on the dresser with Ben in between her legs. "I'm not mad," She said finally with a smile. She leaned forward to help Ben take off his tie and gently placed it on the dresser. "I won't lie, we're going to have a lot of shit to deal with tomorrow but it'll be fine," She said, pausing at the unbuttoning his shirt, "Because I have you, and even though I'm kind of a bitch and I'm really bad at this whole kind of dating thing, you have me too."

"Plus it was kinda hot," She teased pushing the shirt off of his shoulders. Ben always looked good in a suit but for her it was those moments when they were a good two-three months in when they would just hang out in each others rooms and she would take off all of her makeup and steal his clothes and he'd just be in pajamas and they'd do homework, order food, and watch tv that really made her fall for him. She kissed the wound on his chest and brushed the raised skin with the pad of her thumb, "When I think about the violence you went through before I just..." The truth was even with all of the shit and the violence she saw growing up it had nothing on what Ben had gone through and the fact that he became the man he was made her admire him so much more. She looked up from the wound to look at his eyes, "I know it's stupid but it makes me want to protect you from any violence now, I don't want to see you hurt."

She gently scraped her lip between her teeth and tightened her hold on him, "I suppose I should also send you downstairs to talk to Abby." She felt herself closing off a little as she said it and she scooted back a little further on the dresser, "I'm the one who said we weren't officially back together yet so I don't get to get mad at other girls showing you attention." She added examining her long nails. She knew how to admit when she was wrong and she knew that yelling at her little for showing him attention was kind of shitty considering this was her idea. "Just let her know I was just being a bitch for me."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Ben craved Ayala. He craved her touch, her scent, the taste of her lips, of her body. It’d felt like so long since they last held each other this close, Ben wanted nothing more to get into bed with her and hold her close. So, as she slowly undressed him, Ben’s stomach filled with butterflies as though it was the first time Ayala had ever gotten this close to him. She spoke softly, expressing her emotions on the events that transpired and in general. Even through the light teasing, Ben knew that there was a lot going on right now, so he did his best not to tease back.

He watched as the girl thumbed the scar on his chest and looked up at him before pulling away. Ben ignored the comments shared about Abby while pushing his way back close to her. “Ya,” Ben slowly lifted her chin so that their eyes met again, “don’t shut me out, please.” Ben pleaded. He knew it wasn’t easy for the girl to discuss her emotions, especially not about something so serious as Ben’s past and the affects it has on his temper and their relationship, but appreciated it when she did. “You have no clue what you mean to me,” Ben gently grabbed Yaya’s hands and placed them back on his chest. “I want you. And only you. And I’m going to do everything I can, every day, to prove that to you. I know I mess up a lot, but please believe me when I tell you, I’m trying my best.”

“I want you,” Ben whispered again. “I need you.” He did. Ben didn’t have a lot growing up, and he was never one to dwell on what he didn’t have, but rather make the best of every situation with what very little he had. This was one of those situations where Ben realized that he didn’t have much, but what he did have was Ayala. His relationship with his family was rough growing up – the close contact he had with his brother caused him to live a life filled with drugs, guns, and gangs. He was surrounded by death and almost everyone he had ever loved had become victims of a grim death. His relationship with his parents were rocky because of the life he found himself living at a young age. They lost their trust in him, and trust is not any easy thing to come by. So, for Ben, Ayala being by his side meant everything to him and he wasn’t willing to lose her over things so silly as girls who want his attention or rough housing with other fraternities. He understood that Ayala may still need her time – time to decide if she truly wants to be with him, time to decide if she truly loved him – but, he also understood that this was the time to start fighting for their relationship more than anything. “I’ll talk to Abby tomorrow. Tonight, I just want to be with you. I just want to be yours.”

Abigail continued to stare out of the window and remain silent but that was until Yaya made a comment about her riding back with her and Ben. Her eyes turned to face Yaya whenever she spoke that then raised a brow. "I am sorry but unlike some of us, I rather not bring someone home after single party or event. Just saying." Her gaze then turned back to stare out of the window as the ride continued. She was feeling a lot of mixed feelings right about now and wanted to speak upon the matter but continued to keep quiet. Once the uber pulled up to the Alpha house, she thanked the driver and looked at Ben as he paid and tipped the driver. Abby got out of the vehicle and walked into the house and left the door open for Yaya and Ben. She didn't even bother to respond to his apology from earlier as her trek continue towards her room, where she kicked off her heels and plopped down on the edge of the bed.

Her ears twitched when Yaya called out for no one to disturb her but deep down inside, she knew that the comment was directed towards her. With the shake of her head, she stood up and started to change out of her dress and into her sleepwear for the night. Her phone buzzed upon her dresser as she walked over there and saw that it was from Yuda. Abigail raised a brow at the text message then typed a reply towards her.

To: Yuda :)
Okay.

That was all she had sent as Abigail knew what Yuda wanted to really talk about. She wanted to talk what was wrong with her at the party but don't know if she should be completely honest with Yuda or not. Abby thought to herself that she might as well be since Yuda was one of her closest friends but she'll just put that into the back of her mind until tomorrow. Abby needed to get some sleep since she had class early in the morning but luckily she was off from her job. The buzz around the house from the Senior girls is that there is to be a meeting held that afternoon or something. Again, she put that in the back of her mind as her eyes were slowly closing so that she could drift off to sleep.

"Why do you look like a supermodel?"

"Why do you look like shit?" Amaris shot back, unrepentant, as she approached the haggard-looking Kappa. Nick shot her an unimpressed glare, but Amaris only raised a delicate eyebrow, stopping directly in front of where he sat. It was only 11:25 and very much still morning, but Nick had been up and about at eight in the morning for a three hour lab he honestly should have scheduled for the afternoon. However, like the dumb ass Amaris had called him when they were planning out their schedules just before the summer, Nick had insisted on doing a few classes in the morning. He was up anyway; he had mused. Except, he obviously hadn't factored in nights like last night, where he had chugged more rum and cokes he probably should have. Luckily, he hadn't thrown his entire existence up in the toilet - a win, if you asked him - but he damn sure didn't leave unscathed. Amaris had made sure to give him enough water to counteract the worst part of the hangover, but there was no denying by the tired look on his features. Amaris held two travel mugs in her hands and after a shake of her head, which was accompanied by a light chuckle, she handed one of them to him.

"Such a good friend. Provides for me while insulting me, I'm so grateful," he replied sarcastically. He did, in the next breath, gratefully take two large swallows of the caffeinated beverage, delighting in the hot sweetness that flowed on his tongue. While Amaris acted like she had hated her job at Starbucks during freshman year, she hadn't walked away from it without skills and the truth was that Nick preferred going to the Theta house for his coffee fixes as opposed to Starbucks. They had a lot of the same syrups and even fixings, and Amaris made a mean caramel snickerdoodle frappucino, a treat from Starbucks' secret menu that still tasted great with her Lavazza espresso. He practically moaned on another drink and Amaris rolled her eyes as he declared, This is everything."

"I bet." Sipping at her own, Amaris waited for him to rise for them to continue, heading towards towards the gated entrance so that they could leave to get to the food trucks that lined the sidewalk during this time. Most days, Fulton Students finessed their way through the lunch rush at the Student Center's main cafeteria, hoping to get that quick bite in between classes or at the various small delis, bakeries, sushi spots, grille, and coffee shops on campus. They had pretty decent chefs on campus, that much Amaris had realized during freshman year, but the real treat was at the food trucks of Miami that came to take up college kid dollars that honestly should be kept in their wallets. However, the food was always good, no one ever walked away unsatisfied, and she herself had partaken in the food truck frenzy a few times. Today wasn't that day as, since she hadn't had to go to work first thing in the morning because she had been helping with a project that had taken up some late nights, which resulted in her having Monday off, she had cooked for herself to save a bit of money. Her spaghetti squash mixed with kale, apples, and chicken sat, warm, in a container, inside of her purse beside a Vitamin water, just waiting for them to sit and eat. "Unlike some people, I had to meet with the board this morning since certain people's brothers decided they were street fighters at an alumni event."

"Hey, you said that you saw what happened - "

"Yes, and regardless of what might have incited the first blow, one of your boys was the one who delivered it," Amaris interrupted, giving Nick a rather pointed look. While she had definitely stressed the fact that obviously the boys had responded in lieu of a verbal assault from the Betas, and also making sure the board remembered that there was a lengthy history of assaults from the Betas that hadn't resulted in last night's actions and that such a display was bound to happen at their behest due to their own negligence (yes, Amaris took that risk), the Kappas boys involved weren't exactly going to walk away without reprimanding and a small punishment. Neither were the two Beta boys, regardless of their acting in self-defense. "Ben and Danny have to do seventy-two hours of community service and help clean up after the Beta and Alpha event on Wednesday." Nick's mouth opened, but he closed it a moment later.

"And the other guys?"

"Community service," she replied, nodding at the truck Nick was bound to pick. He had a deep love for anything Asian and Amaris liked Dim Ssam a Go-Go just as much as he did. Nick shot her a small smile before heading over to look at the menu he was already familiar with. "Might as well text them, though. We need to have a meeting to make that announcement." Nick frowned, but he didn't refuse, pulling out his own phone just as Amaris pulled out her own from her Saint Laurent purse.

To: Hudson
Your boys need to fulfill 72 hrs of community service. Monetary contributions to foundations do not count, I checked.

To: Hayden, Danny, Ben
Meeting in an hour. Getting lunch now, but Mare has the verdict from the board.
