David Fererh kneeled down to the floor of the landing of the stairs. He drew with his finger into the floor as if he was tracing a design. David spoke as he did so. "It isn't anywhere near as powerful as you think. And even if it was it would be better to leave alone. The most powerful transfer of time anyone has obtained is an hour into the past. Though for the most part traveling backwards isn't a good idea." He places his hand on the ground as the area around his palm glowed. David closed his eyes as the blue glow shot out around him and travelled along the floor of the stairs, changing the carpet from red to aqua.
Alex Young felt his eye widen as the floor changed colors. "W-was that Chrono Alchemy?" he asked. It just now dawned on him just how much he didn't know. What if he fell behind in his classes? Would they kick him out? He shook his head. It wasn't time to worry about that now, he would come to that bridge when and if he came to it. He raised a hand to lightly scratch at the white medical gauze. He stopped scratching and just let his fingers linger over the white material. It was still weird knowing he would only have one eye from now on....
David Fererh took a deep breath as he stood to his feet and turned to Alex. "That was Transmutation. I don't use Chrono that much to be honest. But you'll have a while to learn the basics. And you will only really have to learn about one or two at any depth." He said with a smile.
Kochou and Sasori Sunomiko (Sasori) sighed. He fiddled with his ocarina, waiting for Kochou to finish sewing back together his little Miku Hatsune doll. He kept fidgeting, impatient, but not wanting to rush his sister. Kochou watched him and giggled, "Stop fidgeting... I'm almost done Sassy." She smiled at him. He couldn't help but smile back. Both were sitting cross-legged on the bed, facing each other. Kochou returned to her sewing as Sasori randomly covered and uncovered the holes of his ocarina. Finally, she was done, and she presented to him the repaired Vocaloid doll, "There you go!" Sasori instantly tackle-hugged his twin, "Thank you Kuchi!" Kochou giggled and hugged back. They stayed like this for a while until Sasori declared, "I'm hungry." He interrupted the hug and got off the bed, Kochou doing the same. The male twin put on the right earphone while the female twin took the left one, with Sasori turning on the iPod, both exiting the dorm room almost at the same time. As they reached the left side of the university, they noticed the sudden change in the carpet's colour.
"Ooh." he said, keeping his gaze to the floor. He looked up as he heard foot steps heading towards them. gently tugged at one of the charms on the bracelet as he saw two, of who he would assume to be students at the end of the hall. He stayed quiet as they walked closer towards the new people.
David Fererh nodded to Alex. "There are many fascinating things about Alchemy. Some simple and some with deeper meaning." He said as he looked up to see the twins coming towards them. "Ah good morning Kochou." He nodded to her and spoke again to Sasori. "Morning Sasori." He nodded to him aswell. He didn't see the twins as much as other students but the two really were unique and hard to mistake.
Kochou and Sasori Sunomiko (Kochou) bowed, "Good morning, Professor Fererh." Sasori merely pushed back his hair, "Mornin' Dave." He did have enough respect for teachers and higher authorities, but never enough to actually greet with formality. He then noticed Alex and narrowed his eyes, "Who's the new kid?" Kochou finally noticed the newcomer. Instinctively she hid behind her brother, resting her hands upon his shoulders. Alex was shorter than her, but she never really trusted anyone she didn't know, especially because of her chronic timidity.
Alex Young stayed quiet, his gaze on the floor and his gauzed covered eye turned away from the twins in hopes that they wouldn't ask questions. He definitely didn't like strangers. He moved slightly behind David, if only to hide his face.
David Fererh looked back to Alex before looking back to the twins. "This is Alex Young, this is his first year here at Selkin. I'm showing him around." He looked back to Alex. "This is Kochou and Sasori Sunomiko. If you didn't tell they are twins." He said with a smile and looked back to the two.
Kochou and Sasori Sunomiko (Kochou) peeked out from behind her twin. The boy didn't seem to be oggling at her. In fact he seemed to be hiding from them. She giggled. Alex was a bit like her. Sasori smiled, his sister's giggle quite contagious to him, "Well, welcome to Selkin then, kid. Try to be careful." He was being sincere here, but with his almost mocking tone it didn't sound like it. He grabbed his sister's hand, who gladly squeezed back, happy to have a familiar person close to her. She then noticed something odd on the boy's face. It looked like gauze. Curious, she continued to stare at him. Sasori looked at David, "So, Prof, what's at the cafeteria today?"
Alex Young sighed slightly, he moved out from behind David, only to see Kochou staring at him. He turned his gaze back to the floor once again, but he did notice her violet hair. It was a nice color. Still didn't mean he would trust the twins. He still remained silent as David and Sasori had their conversation.
David Fererh watched carefully the interaction between Alex and the twins. "I'm not quite sure to be honest. Though if my recollection of this weeks menu is of a traditional American buffet style." He said, looking down at Alex. "Though either way, there are a lot of different people here, including you two." He gestured to the twins. "You'll find a lot of interesting people from around the world with different stories to tell."
Kochou and Sasori Sunomiko (Sasori) made a disgusted face, "Ugh, not more fast food? I want sushi for once..." He was proud of his Japanese bloodline, as such loved sushi a lot. Kochou was the same, although she was still entranced by Alex's gauze. She couldn't help but ask, "Why do you have a gauze over your eye?" She didn't want to sound rude, she was just curious...
Alex Young turned his face even further away, although he had a small sneer on his face. It should be obvious. He thought to himself. But he wasn't going to answer. He wanted to tell her to mind her own business, but at the same time he didn't want to say anything to her. He just ignored the question and one again tightened the strap on his bag.
David Fererh attempted to change the conversation on Alex's behalf before Kochou pried more. It wasn't her fault, he just didn't want to have Alex talk about it. "I believe Sushi is Tuesday." He said to the two of them. "Though it's not fast food. You two should know the cooks wouldn't put us through that here." He said with a chuckle.
Kochou and Sasori Sunomiko (Sasori) chuckled, "Yeah..." He squeezed Kochou's hand to stop her from continuing, which she was about to do. She listened to her brother's request and fell quiet, embarassed to having asked a question that was inappropriate. Sasori sighed, "Well, I'm certainly getting hungrier. Care to join us?"
Alex Young felt his stomach grumble slightly. Must have been due to the sedative. He looked to David, as if to let him know. Hospital food didn't really qualify as real food...
David Fererh looked down to Alex. "We will probably head to the cafateria soon but I'll see you two later as I still have to show Alex his room." He motioned for Alex to follow him as he walked towards the boys dormitories.
Alex Young nodded and followed David, wondering what his room would look like, and even more so about what his roommate would be like. "So...David....who were those...people?" he asked, finally speaking now that the strangers were not around.
David Fererh looked over to Alex as they walked. "That was the Sunomiko twins. An odd pair but they have a good thing going." He says and looks up ahead. "Your room isn't that far now."
Alex Young nodded as he pulled the shoulder strap of his bag back onto his shoulder in a more comfortable position. "Do you know who my roommate is?" he asked, very curious. He hoped it was somebody who was organized.
David Fererh nodded his head. "I do actually, now that you ask. I remember seeing that Rusten was your roommate. He's a bit older than you. And he may seem a little of an isolationist. But he's a good kid and you two should get along well." He says with a smile.
"Rusten....is he organized?" he asked David. If the guy was a loner then they would get along fine if he didn't ask questions and kept his part of the room picked up.
