Stand out. That is what Alice tells herself every time she's dressing herself. Alice knows she's pretty, both in face and figure, and she likes to show if off. If you ever see Alice walking down the street you'll most likely see her in heels and her neck endowed with some sort of flashy jewelry. Alice is always overdresses, no matter what the occasion. Oh, Alice needs to check the mail then stay in her home for the remainder of the day? Well, it looks like red stilettos, a pencil skirt, frilly blouse, and 10 pounds in bracelets will do the trick.

If Alice could use one word to describe herself, it would be gorgeous. Alice knows she's consider beautiful to most people. Her eyes were sculpted in a way that gave her a youthful appearance but at the same time made her looks very fierce if you looked at her straight on; a lot of people haven't gotten the privilege to this, just a quick glance when they walk passed her. Alice has it all, unblemished skin, decent height, healthy hair, and plump lips. Most people mistake her for some type of model or foreign superstar visiting the country. It's flattering. Alice always walks with her head held high and nose to match. It makes her give off an arrogant vibe. Alice embraces that with everything else she has.

Alice loves theater. Preforming arts have always been a strong point. Alice loves the limelight, she always has. Due to her proficiency in stage acting Alice has also taken a liking to literatute; particularly literature from the Elizabethan period of time. Alice loves to read in her spare time. Alice’s literary tastes range from fantasy novels, to erotica, to fashion magazines and anything in between. The girl has also picked up a liking for makeup. Alice also has a tatse for shopping whether it be through the window or inside the establishment.

D I S L I K E S
If there’s one thing Alice hates, it’s being one step behind the crowd. Alice always has to be in the know and gets irritated when she isn’t. Speaking of β€œthe crowd” Alice dislikes anyone in the crowd who she deems inferior to her. Which is a whole lot of disliking. It’s even worse if the people in β€œthe crowd” are nosy. Alice tends to mind her business, keeping her personal thoughts personal. When people step out of line and into hers she starts to get very agitated. And the thing that Alice dislikes most of all is [color#613f7b]slackers[/color]. There’s a certain hierarchy in this world and people who slack are at the bottom, beneath Alice.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Arrogant | Short-Tempered | Deceptive | Perfectionist

I.
Alice is a very arrogant person, she knows she is too. Alice speaks with arrogance, walks with arrogance, and drowns herself in the scent of her own arrogance. Everywhere Alice goes she leaves a trail of arrogance in her wake. Yes, she's that arrogant. Alice thinks, sometimes knows, that she's better than certain, if not all, the people in a room she sits in. Alice also believes herself to be a very important person; she makes people's days just by walking passed them on a street. It may be a very bad thing to be ass arrogant as she is, but Alice sees it as a positive. She has a lot of confidence in herself and in her abilities which go a long way when she's trying to achieve something. So, Alice will continue being arrogant for a long time. No one has ever told her anything bad to her face anyway.

II.
Arrogance and Alice's short temper make a very bad combination. She's basically a walking time bomb on a pair of stilettos. There's a lot of different people in this world. Alice hates the lazy ones. Too bad that most of the earth's population falls into that category. Alice is a brat. When someone doesn't act the way she wants them to or things don't go her way she gets pretty angry and seeing how a lot of things set the girl off, her temper tantrums seem to be happening more and more often and she grows older. But, as usual, no one tells her anything otherwise. Alice will continue to be as hotheaded as she wants.

III.
Alice is a very good actor. Many people believe that acting and the performing arts are a person putting on a mask and playing the character that way. They’re wrong. Acting is emersing yourself in the world of a character and becoming them. This is why Alice is such a good liar. Her deceptions go far enough to the point where Alice herself actually starts to believe them. Of course, after a while she begins to go back to her old state of mind and remind herself she was lying the whole time. Alice can take on any role depending on what the situation calls for, she can play the sweet shy girl or the bad ass or even stick with her old arrogant self to get what she wants in a timely manner. If deception had a picture next to it in the dictionary, Alice would be right next to it standing proudly.

IV.
Despite her best and most prominent qualities being the worst qualities someone could have, Alice has one quality that she feels like balances out the negatives (it doesn’t). Alice is a very hard worker. An essay is due in a week? She’ll have it done within seven hours. Alice knows what she wants and she’ll get what she wants no matter the measures she has to take to get it within her grasp. A fiery mentality comes with her hardworking spirit. If you don’t have the ambition to work hard then working hard is useless; or that’s what Alice thinks at least. Alice hardly ever gives up. Due to her short temper there are often times where she feels like she wants to give up and throw in the towel. She doesn’t. Alice always goes through with her plans in the most drastic way possible.

Wontaek Jung | Father | 51 | Business man
Alice was never close to her father. The relationship was mostly based of mutualism. If Alice did x, for example: get good grades, she would receive x. "X", in most cases, being money or an expensive set of clothing. Alice doesn't worry about her father and from what she's seen her father doesn't worry about her either. This mostly likely how it will stay for the rest of her life.

Jinye Lee | Mother | 49 | Socialite
Alice isn't very close with her mother either, but if you were to make Alice choose between her mother and her father she would most likely choose her mother. While Alice pays no attention to her father, she respects her mother greatly. She's the one who secures business deals for her father and has a way with her words. Alice aspires to be like her one day. Alice wishes she could connect with her mother someway but she feels as though it's probably too late in her life to make that connection now.

Will (Hwanshik) Jung| Older Brother | 29 | Heir
Alice and Will are very close. Maybe it was because Will took pity in Alice for being the second born, and a daughter on top of that, which meant that she would receive very little attention of affection from their parents. Either way, Alice trusts Will like any other little sister would trust her older brother. Of course, they don't always get along. They both have very short-tempers which causes them to get into heated debates leading them to say things that they didn't really mean to say. At the end of the day, they always make up and Alice is grateful that Will is there for her when the maids aren't

Seoul, the 33rd floor of her building. That's where Alice was, or Ahri as she's originally called, was born. Her mom always believed in home births. Alice was a mistake to put it shortly. Her mom was a devoted Christian though so she was allowed life. Alice was never mistreated but she was neglected. The maids still took care of her well, as well as her brother. Despite the silver spoon she was born with, she was living a very mundane life for someone of her status. At that time, she didn't really mind.

Growing up, Alice started to become more aware of how pretty other people found her. When she was young she took note that people would compliment her more than they would compliment the average girl. She also observed that boys would do things that she asked just because she was pretty. Alice began to take not of this. At a very young age, she was using what little sexuality she had to get people to do what she once. It was the start of her becoming the person she is today and she was already starting to like benefits it was reaping at such and early stage.

Alice's dad had always been somewhat of cheapskate. They decided to move into town when she was 13. Alice hated it at first. Small towns meant nosy people and she didn't want everyone to be in her business. Also it was less people to manipulate. She sucked it up and dealt with it though. Nothing really changed when she moved in. Everyone treated her the same, heads turned when she walked by, no one said anything when she talked down to them, and people did whatever she asked. It was just like Seoul. Everything seemed to going as it normally would. Alice was living her life in feign lavishness like she usually would. Well, that was the case until Autumn died.

Alice didn't know Autumn as a person very well. On the outside, she had always looked like those down to earth, goody two-shoes, sickly sweet, type of girls. She was wrong. Alice was never friends with Autumn. After finding out who she really was as a person, the two always had an unspoken rivalry. It was the first time Alice say someone else as equal. Due to some manipulation, Alice got access to her only sex tape; Alice didn't leak it, she knew that's would Autumn would want anyway. Of course, Alice was kind of sad when Autumn passed. Her only rival had bit the dust a little too early. The two didn't have a dramatic parting moment, they didn't see each other that often anyway. The last conversation Alice remembered having with Autumn was just a few smart remarks. One thing Alice can say is that Autumn's death had made the town a lot more interesting than before. It may be a terrible thing to say but Alice was excited to see what things unfold and what secrets are about to see light.

T A L E N T S

Preforming Arts || A gifted actress. Alice enjoys the spotlight and the attention she receives while she's on stage. It also trained her to be a more consistent liar.

Literature || Alice has a knack for the interpret literature and metaphors, and similes, and whatever else that can be included in a book. Alice likes to think she's very book smart due to her ability to read.

Talking || Her regular character might not be the most flattering but when Alice puts on her mask she can be quiet the charmer. Alice is good at twisting her words around to give the listener exactly what they want. In return she gets exactly what she wants.

W E A K N E S S E S

Arrogance || Her most prominent quality is her weakness. While Alice thinks her arrogance is quite a good trait, it can get her into a lot of trouble. She sometimes bites off more than she can chew and it gets her into some trouble.

Impatience || Another one of her most stand-out traits is also her weakness. Alice is good at getting what she wants but she tends to break character when she can't get what she wants on time.

The investigation is underway and today is the day each of the six friends will be questioned. School is commencing as usual, therefore the six will be individually interviewed starting from 4pm. The police and school want to provide a sense of normalcy for the students, and so thought it crucial not to interrupt their school day. Little do they know that another, mysterious, figure has other plans for the six. In a small room, with curtains drawn and lit only by the light of a singular desk lamp that has begun flickering, showing it's age, a person sits, phone in hand as they write out a series of texts.

Mass Text
To: Felix, Willow, Winston, Veronika, Angelina, Noah, Alice, Carissa, Dashiel, Kara

I know what you did.
Autumn.

The number is blocked and the teens have no way of tracing it, all they can do now is hope and pray that they don't get any more of these cryptic messages from a dead girl.

If only it were that simple.

Veronika stretched her leg out across the bench and reached forward to her toes. She could feel the slight pull in her thigh before she eased back up and rolled down again. It had been a long morning, she mused as she pulled off her second boot. Triple salchow after triple salchow. She landed the last one awkwardly, skidding along the ice. Her fingers were red from the surface water and she could feel a bruise beginning to bloom on her thigh.

She threw her boots into her bag and slid the band from her hair. She shook her head trying to get the damp kink out of it. Veronika was halfway through finger brushing her hair when she heard her phone buzz. Weird, she thought. Who was texting her this early in the morning? She put the thought out of her head and headed out to the parking lot. Veronika pulled her coat around herself as the cold morning air bit through her. She threw her bag onto the passanger seat and sighed.

The last fall. The last frigging fall. She had almost had it and she fell. Veronika slammed her hand against the steering wheel. The horn echoed across the lot as she sank lower into her seat as a few heads turned her way. She slid her phone from the front pocket of her bag and tapped on the unknown number.

Uknown
I know what you did.
Autumn

Her hands shook. This had to be a sick joke. It had to be. She dropped her phone onto her lap and started her engine. What kind of sick prank was this? Who pretended to be a dead girl to text people? Her father had always said that this had been a nice town with nice people. Clearly. Veronika picked her phone back up.

To:Unknown
Is this supposed to be a joke?

To: All
Finished practice. Anyone need a ride?

A second later her phone buzzed. 'Failed to send' flashed up. Veronika cursed in Russian and dropped her phone onto the seat next to her. She rested her head against her hands and took a deep breath. This was fine. She hadn't done anything wrong. Veronika set her car in gear and pulled out of the lot, driving slowly as she waited for a response from her friends.

Even though it was October, Noah wouldn't miss a morning run. It was the only approved way to get out of the house before anyone else was awake. Normally his mother was up by 6:30 making breakfast, so he always tried to leave by 6:15. But the pregnancy had been difficult for her so far, and the doctor had ordered bed rest for most of the day. She couldn't stand it, but she didn't dare risk disobeying.

The cool air wrapped around his legs and arms as Deep Blue Scene's latest album streamed through his cordless earbuds. Their music had always been more appropriate for cold seasons. His sneakers struck the pavement to the even 4/4 rhythm of "Free Fire." His lungs burned from the chill of the air as he jogged up the driveway of the Oliver family home.

The music volume dropped as his text tone sounded, but he didn't bother to check it. Instead, he climbed the stairs, headed straight for the shower to wash away the layer of sweat on his skin. He turned the water as hot as he could stand and stepped in, letting the heat thaw the frost in his bones. He missed two-a-days. Soccer practice was the best excuse to leave early and come home late that anyone could ask for, but the off-season league only practiced after school. He supposed it could be worse, though. As soon as indoor started, he'd be down to three practices a week until the regular season.

Soon enough, he couldn't put off getting out anymore. He had to get dressed and face the smell of bacon and eggs from the kitchen. So he did.

Noah couldn't remember ever seeing his father cook before, but here he was for the third week in a row, preparing breakfast for the family. Noah finally checked his phone.

Unknown
I know what you did.
Autumn.

The text itself was disturbing enough. I know what you did. But the signature at the bottom was enough to make him want to smash his phone on the spot. Autumn. Impossible. Autumn. She died. Autumn. People don't just come back from the dead. Autumn Autumn Autumn.

"Who's texting you this early?" his father asked with a frown.

Noah locked his phone and gave an innocent smile. "Just Dash," he lied. "It's nothing important. Just jokes."

"You know we still need to meet Dash," his mother said from the kitchen table, surprising Noah. He nearly jumped out of his skin, but he managed to calm himself before either of his parents saw.

"Yes, ma'am, soon, maybe," he said dismissively, and he began to set the table. It wasn't that he was worried about what they would say about his best friend. On the contrary, he knew exactly what they would think about his tattoos, his piercing, his clothes. It was something he would avoid if he possibly could. His father piled bacon, eggs, and toast on to each plate. The three of them sat at the little round kitchen table, breakfasts steaming on their plates, but none of them made any moves to eat.

"Would you like to lead us in saying Grace, Noah," his father ordered, cloaking the demand in the trappings of an offer.

"Yes, sir." He knew the prayer by heart. He could recite it without an issue beside the dryness of his throat and the anxiety ripping at his chest. So he did.

'Ah, forget it, I am up now.' Carissa thought to herself after hitting the snooze button on her phone for the fifth time this morning. She groaned as she rolled over to the other side of her bed and could not believe that school was still commencing after Autumn's death. With the thought being put in the back of her mind after her ears twitched at the door to her room opening and her mother waltzed in, sitting at the foot of Carissa's bed now. "You do not have to go to school if you do not want to." Her mother stated as Carissa sighed and rolled over to face her mother now, shrugging her shoulders with a response now. "I'm good to go to school." She mentioned as her mother nodded her head then stood up while letting Carissa know that her father was preparing breakfast. "I'll be down in a minute. Let me get ready." She said as her mother left her room and Carissa removed the covers from over the lower half of her body then officially got out of the bed. She stretched her arms up high towards the sky and let out a small but well deserved yawn this morning as she walked over towards her closet now, rummaging through it until she decided on a decent outfit to the day.

Once that was marked off the checklist within her mind, she continued on towards the bathroom, where she brushed her teeth, showered and curled her hair. From there, Carissa walked back into her room just in time to hear her phone chime as she was getting a message from someone. Carissa picked up her phone and saw the number was blocked, which made her raised up her left eyebrow as she went ahead and read the message anyway. As she was done reading it, she threw her phone on the bed and let out a gasp then covered her mouth, trying her best not to scream. The text sent shivers up her spine and she was literally breaking out in chill bumps from that message now. Even though the text message scared her a little bit, she still got ready for school and sat down at her vanity area as she put on small dabs of her makeup but jumped whenever her phone chimed again.

'Who could this be now?' Carissa asked herself as she put on lip gloss then stood up and walked back over to her bed, where she grabbed her phone and seen Veronika's name scroll across the screen. With a breath of relief passing over her parted lips, she read the message and started to type out a reply.

To: Veronika
If you do not mind swinging by the house and picking me up then I'd love a ride. :) Thanks in advance!

She sent the message then turned towards her floor stand mirror and reviewed over herself then nodded her head with approval as she grabbed her purse on the way out of her room then went down the stairs to join her mother and father for breakfast. "Morning, dad." Carissa said as she delivered a kiss upon his cheek then smiled over towards her mother as she sat down at the table and looked at the steam wafting off of the breakfast. "No need to take me to school today, dad. Veronika's taking me, I think. I'll let you know otherwise." She mentioned as she started to eat her breakfast and her father smiled towards her with a small nod of his head. "Sounds good." Carissa smiled over towards him then snapped her fingers as she wondered who was going to school today and who wasn't so she decided to send out a mass text.

To: The Friends :)
Please tell me that you all are going to school today.

She did not want to be too alone at school today so that's why she decided to ask everyone to see if she needed to stay at home today or not. But it probably was a little bit too late for that now that she mentioned to Veronika and her parents that she was going. Once she sent the message, she sat her phone down and went back to eating breakfast and socializing with her parents while she waited for Veronika to swing by the house to pick her up this morning.

Felix started out his morning as he did any other - being crushed by the weight of his sister, Zehra, jumping on him. Wincing slightly in pain, Felix pushes her off onto the bed and sits himself up. Zehra just stared at him, a grin plastered over her face. Felix knew she didn't realise that she wasn't eight any more, and he couldn't really take the weight of her whole body now. Alas, that was something he couldn't tell her though, not when she derived so much joy out of trying to make him mad by waking him up in this manner. "Morning Z," Felix says, the end of his sentence turning into a yawn as he stretches. "Mom says you gotta get up so," She picks up a pillow, "Get up you lazy bones!" Zehra shouts, continually hitting him with said pillow. "I'm up, I'm up." Felix laughs, getting out of bed and moving a strand of hair out of his face.

Ushering Zehra out of his bedroom so that he can get ready for the day, Felix leans back on the close door and sighs, the smile fading from his face. Another day without Autumn. He let that sink in for a moment before shaking his head and standing up. Knowing that she wasn't here gave Felix a cold feeling in his stomach and his eyes began watering, but he also knew that he couldn't let his family see him like this. It wasn't right to make them worry about him, he was fine really, some mornings were just harder than others. Walking over to his adjacent bathroom, Felix rests his palms on the corners of his sink, feeling the cool marble sooth his hot skin - something that often happened when Felix got worked up and sad - looking at his slightly puffy reflection for too long.

Not realising how long he had zoned out for, Felix hears his mother shout up the stairs. "Felix, breakfast is getting cold!" He ha to go. Shoving on a typical outfit of black skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt at least two sizes too big and an even larger red jumper, Felix makes his way downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Morning son." His dads says, peering over his opens newspaper to look at Felix, to which his son nods his good morning. Taking a seat at the dining table next to his little brother, Zachariah nudges Felix to look at something on his phone. Glancing at the screen, Felix sees a video of girls talking to the local news. Turning up the volume on his brother's phone, it becomes obvious that they're talking about Autumn. Felix didn't even recognise them, but they way they spoke about her was as if she'd been their best friend for years. It wasn't right. Feeling his throat start to tighten, Felix goes to stand up and rush out of the room but before he can his mother is upon them. Snatching Zachariah's phone out of his hand she gives him a quick glare, before turning her gaze back to Felix. "Sit, honey, you need to eat before school."

Placing a strained smile on his face, Felix nods. Grabbing a lukewarm piece of toast from the table (that's what he gets for being so late down), Felix tries his best to finish it but only manages half. Washing that down with a glass of orange juice, Felix finally stands up from his seat, "I have to go or I'll be late." Is all that comes out of Felix's mouth before he exits the kitchen.

Grabbing some busted old sneakers from beside the door, Felix pulls them on, grabs his bag and exits out into the cold morning. It's then that his phone vibrates. Expecting a text from one of his friends, Felix unlocks his phone, but what he reads is far from a friendly message. I know what you did. That is enough to stop Felix in his tracks, not even three steps out of his door and Felix already wants to go back inside. However what really chills his blood is the signage, Autumn.

No. This cannot be happening. It had barely been a month since her death and people were already trying to mess with him? What was happening. Felix's head started to spin as he headed back for home. Where it was safe. However just as Felix was about to pound on the door, another text comes through that grounds him. Veronika. A friend. Hastily texting her back, Felix can't help but notice the slight shaking in his fingers.

To: V
I could use a lift, just left my house.

Felix knew it shouldn't be too far out of Veronika's way as he didn't live that far from where she had practice. Taking a seat on the steps that led down from his front door, Felix focused on his breathing as another text came through. This time, It was from Carissa.

To: Cari
I'll be there :-)

Now, all he could do was wait for Veronika, and think about that awful text.
