The rest of the tour went by rather quickly. Daniel learned that his partner would be doing music, which was good for her. He himself played the piano when able, and loved the prospect of music. What stood out the most to him during the entire tour however, was the park area right next to the tennis courts. The cherry trees were in a dazzling full bloom, throwing a firework of colors into the normally brown and green scenery. He hoped to be able to visit the park again after class, maybe with a few new acquaintances.
"Time for the last stop right? Cafeteria, right? Time for some lunch!" Daniel caught a glimpse of one of the many clocks hanging on a wall of the school. They were right on time. Cassiopeia went for the Freshman's hand once more, and the boy could feel his partner's soft hand wrap around his own. He was beginning to get used to it at this point and continued on behind Cassiopeia as if nothing were out of the ordinary.
"I wonder what kinds of food are being served... Hmm... Daniel..." The cafeteria was bustling with activity. The whole school was waiting in lines or enjoying their meals at the tables close by. Daniel didn't mind the people though, just as long as they didn't protrude into his personal space that was. His partner's eyes scanned the enormous crowd of children, as if looking for someone in particular...
"Aeon!" Within a split second, Cassiopeia rushed towards a rather tall, almost intimidating male. "Aeon's" hair was of the most peculiar color, a sort of blueish purple hue, and it caught Daniel's eye almost instantly.
"Daniel! Over here!" His Sophomore partner waved. Daniel took this as an invitation to join the couple. Past awkward experiences of being the third wheel entered his mind, but were quickly thrown out like hot potatoes. Besides, he could use the space of being outside.
"This is my freshman partner, Daniel! And Daniel, this is Aeon! a fellow sophomore!""I am Belrose Aeon." The taller Sophomore gave a slight bow. He looked very sophisticated, especially for his age. In the time Daniel was able to meet some of his father's acquaintances, Aeon's type had presented itself multiple times before. They tended to be a little too serious at times and lacked some aspects in the sense of humor. How strange for such a boy to be with a girl of almost exact opposite characteristics. They seemed to get along fine from what he had seen. Daniel gave a slightly more exaggerated bow than what was received, as was the custom...at least if he had remembered that correctly.
"Trist Daniel" He had remembered a split second before it was too late to switch the last and first names. Some grammatical things were really different here, and he'd need some time to adjust.
"A pleasure to meet you." The way the younger boy said it was rather unnatural, the American English accent was very noticeable, and the words seemed almost forced out in a way.
"Pardon my barbaric accent, I'll do my best to improve in the future." He said in an apologetic tone.
Just then, something seemed to hit the Freshman's hand. Daniel looked around a bit, wondering what it could have been when something hit his head, shoulder, arm, and foot. Soon the light rain began to intensify.
"It has begun to rain. We should go inside.""I think that's a good idea." Daniel followed the older male and Cassiopeia back into the cafeteria. His speech was a little bit less strange now, it must have been the awkward switch from English.
"They serve a variety of meals of different culture. I believe you will find something that would suit your taste. Shall we.""Yes, let's!" Daniel slipped into line right with the other two and decided to try something new. The young aristocrat found himself a tray with multiple foods displayed on it and carried it to the table chosen by his acquaintances.
Though he couldn't speak Japanese very well, Daniel's understanding of the language was much better...proportional to his speaking level. He picked up things in conversations of people strolling past, or even looking straight at the group. From what he could decipher, they were talking about how Cassiopeia and Aeon were together. Tilting his head slightly, Daniel tried to listen a bit more intently, a bit surprised when he picked up the word "Argyris." He had picked up the name a couple times in national news channels and such. They were an extremely wealthy family of royalty. How strange for a member of the Argyris family to be in Japan. Well to be honest it was strange for Daniel to be here as well, but that was the doing of unfortunate circumstances.
There was no real point in asking, except for maybe the purpose of making his companions uncomfortable. The white hair and red eyes were a dead giveaway from the very beginning, Daniel was a bit dissapointed in himself for not realizing sooner. After a spoonful of an interesting tasting soup of a sort, Daniel attempted to chat a bit with the newly introduced Aeon.
"Aeon-san." Daniel tried to keep his words as natural sounding as possible.
"Sometime...that is if you don't mind, I wonder if you could help me out a bit with Japanese. I'm improving every day, but I don't think I'll catch up in time for the homework. I would ask Cassiopeia, but..." He trailed off at a loss for words, literally. Daniel lacked the vocabulary to properly express what he really meant to say, so he decided it would be best to stop there to avoid misunderstandings. The underclassman shot an apologetic look in his partner's direction before redirecting his attention to Aeon.
