'Hello?'
He was hoping that at least one of his brothers or sisters were out there in the dark.

A tiny sigh escaped her in the silence. She didn't know if anyone was awake or she was the first; she wasn't brave enough to speak out. They might hurt her again.
Cringing at the memory of the needle they so carelessly jammed into her arm. It hurt her, and still did. She continued to lie there, pondering how she could kill them all. I can take off the head of the first one, maybe even rip out a throat or two. I wonder how they'll like their face being mauled, a fierce look came into her eyes. If they'd hurt the doctor, they would all die.
After a short while a voice called out, directly across from her. A tentative greeting.. Tyler.
"Tyler?" she whispered back. She was happy that someone was awake with her, finally. "Are you okay?" she called again. Often in the group she was known as being the most childish, she acted and talked like a little kid sometimes. Which was why she couldn't say anything like "how is everyone, let's bust a move".
She edged closer to the bars, slowly drawing herself into a crouching position.

Cam put his ear toward the cold metal bars to hear more. The dripping of water explained the dampness of the cold concrete room. He wondered where Shen was. He felt safer with Shen than with the rest. Even though he could hold his own against anyone. His last memory was him and Shen separating to get away from the men that attacked there house.

"If you guys are there say something please." Aniyah really didn't want to be the onlynone who was there, but those voices she heard made her think she wasn't. Sighing a little, she slid back down against the bars. Leaning her head back she closed her eyes. Where was she and what exactly was going on here? How did she even get here? Aniyah couldn't remember anything that had gone on. All she wanted to know was where everyone else were, and if they were okay.

"Guys?" she called, voice raw. "Does anyone know where we are?" Rae reached a slender arm through the bars to feel for any cracks in the floor that could aid her in escaping.
[[sorry it's short >_> it'll get better]]

The voice came from directly in front of him and Tyler could swear he had never heard a sweeter sound.
'Eva! I'm alright considering.'
He couldn't keep the chirp out of his voice. Even in this terrible situation he could still be happy, could still see the good side. Here he was, trapped in a dank, dark cell and he didn't even care anymore. At least he was here with one of his sisters.
'How are you? Did they drug you too?'
"Eva, Tyler whats going on I gotta take a piss man"
And there was Cam. So there were at least three of them here.
'Then piss, no one would be able to tell down here it's so wet anyway.'
Tyler quipped back. It wasn't really his usual smart retort but it made sense. He sniffed the air quickly to see if he could work out if anyone else was locked up but the the smell of damp and moss was just too strong. That broke into his good mood a little. Not only was he locked up but they'd blocked one of his best senses. Tyler relied on his nose and ears much more than his eyes and the maddening dripping noise had screwed over his hearing.
"If you guys are there say something please."
A tiny voice pierced through the black. It was Aniyah. So that made four of them so far.
'Hey Aniyah.'
Tyler whispered back to let her know he was there, awake and alright. Well, as alright as he was going to be.
"Does anyone know where we are?"
That was Rae's voice and she was asking a pretty decent question. Tyler rested his head against the metal bars. He actually had no idea of where any of them were...

She also wondered where they were. She remember waking up fuzzily in the back of a bumpy car, and they'd seen her eyes open and something pricked her arm again. It was disgusting.
In a very small voice she asked, "what do we do?" Could they break out maybe, or ...
They worked very good as a team, surely they could escape.. all the training that she'd been through had prepared her for this. Whoever had kidnapped them had made a very big mistake..

He sung or hummed that song while he was thinking. The others would often voice there dislike of such a childish song. Except Eva who was the most childish of the eight.

Carefully and quietly she set to work, scraping at the hinges with the stones and then flooding a handful of water over the warm metal. It would take a long time, yes. But Rae was struggling to come up with any other possible way to escape. Taking a break from the tedious work, she turned back to the bars. Should I really...? With a sigh, the redhead attempted to squeeze through the bars. She was small enough, yes, but the matter of getting her head through was another problem. Deciding it was risky to go further, she returned to her work at the hinges.

"Okay I know it's not the time to freak out, but I'm starting too." She quickly informed the rest of the group. She couldn't think of anyway to get out of this forsaken cell. Sighing she held onto the bars and leaned her forehead against them. "So any ideas of how to get out of this darkness?" Aniyah didn't want to stay in the darkness for too much longer. "Oh my gosh what if we never get out of here!" She yelled again as she started to pace around in a circle.

Riley had been awake for sometime now. In fact, she'd never really lost consciousness or fallen asleep. Her head was aching with such an astounding pain she'd been afraid to in case she didn't wake up. Her arm was sore from where needle had been jammed in who knows how many hours ago, and her clothes were torn, bloody and covered in dirt. It'd been one rough fight to subdue her, and she had the many bruises to prove it. All of this served to put her in one pissy mood, and her mates talking wasn't making it any better. They weren't being that loud per say, but with headache like this one it made a feather dropping sound like an atomic explosion.
"And Aniya," She snapped again. "Yelling and panicking gets us nowhere so just sit down. Cam please stop humming before I knock you out, and for God's sake I'm sure we all know where we are. We're in a damn cellar in the middle of nowhere, so what's the point of talking about it. We know we could get out, but who knows what's up there and around the corner. It's better if we all saw put." Finished with her rant, she leaned against the cool and damp stone wall and sighed, hoping her head would clear enough for her to think of a solution.

Shen sat with his legs bent a the knees, each foot tucked into the crook of the other leg, just behind the knee. His shoulder length, thick black feel along the distinctly Asian appearance of his countenance. Almond shaped, chocolate brown eyes hidden be hind a veil of fleshy membrane that were his eye lids. His body sculpted and lean barely moved in the quietness of his room. The rest of his siblings were about the rest of the complex.Aniya probably listening to her iPod, Tyler playing another practical joke. Rae whom he had a strange attraction to, was more than likely of sketching, Evangeline had a knack for pouncing people and Riley loved the track and Cam...Cam, was well, Cam. There was no specific thing he liked although fighting him for dominance when things weren't so heated because enjoyed the idea of power. Shen had the upper-hand because he was older by several years and so had a great deal more discretion and more importantly--patience. Ibram, one of the youngest was somewhere putting his rifle apart and putting it back together again.
But he loved them all the same. They were his family, his pride, his 'streak'. That's how he understood each of them so well. He was always observing something. He wasn't sure anymore if it was because of the animal in him that was actually a mutation and a hybrid all in one very large package. He was much larger in his bestial shape than his human form. He traded speed and agility for raw power then. Nearly one-thousand pounds of power behind each colossal paw. He was roughly the size of a pony in that form. In his human form, Shen was an entirely flexible, and wiry character. His body could contort in ways some found painful just to see. He took his dedication to martial prowess very seriously and earned the ire of his 'family' because he would never willingly socialize as they would and opt for a more seclusive environment, one without the distractions.
Taking a deep breath, every muscle in his body tensing as his hands rose above his body then gradually lower pressing the tips together as he exhaled all the stress, the worries, the clouded thoughts. He then heard heard a noise outside his bedroom walls his quarters were made in a traditional manner with rice paper cut into squares filling the spaces between the bamboo structure that made up most of his walls crafted in a customary Japanese orient design. His eyes opening quickly. Immediately his hands grabbed his chop sticks, placing them between his finger. Instinct taking over, telling him to stalk the intruder. The soldier stopped by the sliding door and was readying to open it. Shen, keep close to the floor, crawling slowly like a spider on its web.
Pressing a shoulder to the wall adjacent the door, looking up towards where the assailant was about to be yet glancing at the floor at where he was now. The door slid open, the unfamiliar firearm was enough to tell him all that was needed. He slipped out suddenly, sliding past the tactically geared man. Kicking out at the back of the soldier's knees which gave out and slammed him upon the tatami matting face first. not hesitating, Shen knelt down over the struggling man and held the top of his Kevlar helmet against the floor before driving the chop sticks into the back of the mans throat near the base of the skull before deliberately snapping the other have off.
He remained crouched, like he were already in his animal form and were prowling. His eyes wide but the dark of night did not so easily as when he was his feline counter part. He would have to make do. He suddenly heard a shout, it was one of the girls. Rising up like a compressed spring he ran back into his room, grabbed his tonfa and his knife and ran off in search of the others. It wasn't long before a patrol was headed his way through the garden. Shen slowly inched himself beyond the foliage, slipping into the pond quietly as not to cause commotion. He watched from the edge of the pond two dark uniformed had flashlights on their weapons and were scanning the area. Sinking below the surface, he watched the light fall upon the pond he was in but only linger for a few seconds Inching his way to the surface, his lungs begged for air and he was reluctant but gave it what it so desired.
Who were these men? What had they done with the others? He slid from the pond, and then charged the two unwitting suspects. He brought the full weight of the steel bar that fit perfectly along the ridge of his forearm, down on the back of the first man's nape. The metal impacting the nerves causing the man's knees to give out. Turning his immediate attention to the second sentry, he flung his arm out past the man's throat, striking the jugular vein. The he lined the long metal extension of his tonfa up with the carotid artery, crossing over his free hand over the the limb that worked the tonfa. Pulling extension with one hand on one side of his throat and pushing the vein in on the other--Shen created a scissor effect, effective cutting the blood off to the guard's brain be fore jerking and breaking his neck. he lowered the body slowly to the ground. He didn't want to cause any unneeded attention. He needed to find the others...

"Search for some cracks in the floor or walls and see what you can do. Or come up with your own way of escaping and shut the hell up." Returning to her silent state, Rae continued to work on the hinges of the door. She was making slow progress, but progress was something when you were working with nothing. Already the door's dismal appearance already seemed partially off balance.
As she worked, she couldn't help but wish she had a pencil and paper. Sketching things out always helped her to understand them better. It was almost more irritating that she didn't have her sketching equipment then being stuck in the cell with no way of escape. Rae gritted her teeth. Although the work she was doing was quiet and making progress, her hand felt numb from the freezing water and she was sure she was cut in more places than one.

'Guys, I think I can fit through the bars in my animal form...'
The bars were too close together for a human to fit through but just far enough apart for a large cat or a lynx. It would still be a bit of a squeeze and even if he did get out he wasn't sure how to free everyone else but it was worth the shot. Tyler stepped back from the bars of his cell and crouched on all four on the wet concrete. He closed his eyes and concentrated on the change. It hurt. It always hurt, but his father had taught him to fight through the pain. He could feel the bones in his legs retracting and his spine curving over. His whole bone structure was altered in under a minute. Tyler flicked his ears to get rid of the irritating sound of dripping water. It had only got worse now his hearing was heightened. He padded up to the bars again and sniffed the cold metal. He could still smell a slight hint of human lingering on the bars. He didn't recognize the scent. Gently he pushed his head through the bars then squeezed his shoulders through. It was easy until he reached his hind legs. They got wedged almost instantly. Tyler wiggled around for at least another minuted before he managed to get his back end free from the bars then he was out into the corridor of the room.
'Out...now what?'

So she stood up, her body protesting loudly and causing her steps to falter, closed her eyes and sighed. She could feel her bones moving and that still grossed her out, but it was nothing compared to the fierce onslaught of aching that racked her almost instantly and regrettable she moaned. She couldn't stand showing weakness. God this hurts like a bitch...She thought. But soon the change was over and she yawned, her sharp fangs bright in the darkness. Her new eyes and ears could make out the bars in front of her and she moved towards them slowly, stretching out her legs as spine and she did so. At with ease, she slid through the bars. Of course she did get stuck about halfway through but she was flexible in both human and animal appearances and fixed that immediately sliding out.
Finding Tyler, she couldn't help but feel relief. Two of them out meant more reinforcements. She didn't feel like helping the others. But the more the merrier. Looking longingly down the end of the corridor she turned and nudged him. "Help me get the rest of them out. We can leave Cam though. But we have to get Evangeline and the others before we go."

Taking a deep breath, she turned into a panther. Her entire body made it through. Once she was out she jumped up with excitment. "Oh my gosh I made it haha I'm out!" She yelled again. "Sorry guys." She knew Riley was probably going to get on her for yelling like that again. But what could she say? She was just happy to be out of the cell. Walking around she walked into a pair of metal bars causing a loud timing sound. "Och!" She grabbed her head and took a step back. "Okay I'm going to just stand still and shut up.

"Help me get the rest of them out. We can leave Cam though. But we have to get Evangeline and the others before we go."
'You know we can't leave anyone behind.'
He reminded her quietly. It wouldn't do any good to start off rivalries again here. Aniyah had slipped out to join them too. This was good. Three of them would make it a lot easier but they still didn't have a way to get anyone else out. It was a dilemma...

Now a snow leopard, she prowled towards the bars and took a sniff at the hinges where she'd been doing her work. What a waste of time. The she-cat pressed her head against the space between the the bars. Too big, just as she'd expected. Rae returned her attention to the hinges. The bottom hinge she'd kept her attention on was weak, near failing. Tail lashing, she reared back on her hind legs, then hit the hinge with her forepaws. With a pathetic squeel the hing broke loose, creating a space where the door hung awkwardly.
Satisfied, Rae squeezed through the opening and out into the narrow hallway-like space. She shook herself to release the water from her thick fur. I hate wet, she thought while licking her lips. The she-cat pressed back up onto her hind legs and was suddenly back in human form. With the stealth of her feline form, she quietly searched the walls for a key or a light switch, something.

Riley clamped her ears down onto her head, as a loud squeal sounded and let out a whimper. God she just needed out of here now before she ended up hurting someone, so she started walking, hr body and alert with a slight limp given her soreness. There wasn't a single window to be seen. Either this was a lock house or cellar and with the surroundings, her money was on cellar. That meant there was a door or elevator somewhere. Even if they were shapeshifters or some type she seriously doubted magic existed and they'd been poofed down here. And she was right. A door was at the end of the corridor. With concentration, she gritted her teeth and moved back into her lean human form and stretched again.
"I found a door." She said, her voice dead-pan. "I'm sure it's locked." Using her left hand she reached over and turned the knob and groaned. There only way out was blocked. Riley wanted to scream. "Isn't there any other way in this place?? Does someone know how to break down a damn door?"

The white panther shook her head, clearing away a droplet of water that had fallen into her ear. Everyone seemed to be gathered already outside the bars besides her and Cam..
She tentatively snuck a paw through the bars and then her head. She fit through the bars easily, though her haunches got a little stuck, butvshe got out easily enough. Riley, Tyler, Aniyah, Rae.. she could scent the rest here too. Relieved, she leaned her head against Tyler and purred.
It was a little while before Riley called out to them, saying something about a door. Eva padded over to where she was, down the corridor, and moved to sniff the door. Locked, metal, and had gray paint.
Hesitantly she took a few steps back and then rammed into the door. It shook a little, but otherwise didn't move. A low growl emitted from her throat, but she took a few steps away in defeat.
Eva turned her head to the others, thinking that maybe if they all tried, perhaps they could bust it down.
They could escape.. not counting if there was scientists or guards waiting for them ..

Now more into his father's compound, the conditions for engaging an enemy were null. Firearms were clumsy weapons, but they had range. Martial weapons didn't have the range of firearms, but they could be used more effectively--plus they were silent. Stealthily stalking, Shen kept his silhouette to the ground. Extending his slender but nevertheless, muscular legs while he kept the center of his gravity close to the ground, using only the power muscles of calves and hamstrings, and the pull from the instep of his feet to 'tug' him while he remained crouched. He was in the ventilation system, several feet above the ground. He had slyly crept in from the roof of the outside. Shimmying his way through yards of duct in secrecy.
Most people thought, when they saw shin at first, that he was a push over. Just another small but fit Asian. Easily manageable. However, his spartan-like qualities from nearly two decades of training in the bitterest conditions, his own ruthlessness upon himself to test the boundaries of the seemingly impossible. He could kick six feet sheer vertical from a standing point. He could pulverize cinder blocks with his bare hands, turning what was hard into meager broken bits. He could also have slabs of concrete broken over his stomach by a sledge hammer, lay on a bed of spear tips while they pressed threateningly into his throat, chest, and stomach. He had enough balance that he could hold his posture one leg alone for hours.
All of these things were learned over the course of 26 long, arduous years. He'd have been lying if he said he had done it for some noble purpose. No. He did it because felt the need to. Because he felt the drive in himself to constantly push himself. He had to be there for his father, for the girls, and his brothers. With his level of instruction, he felt he had a responsibility to the rest. He owed it to them, to push them when they wanted to linger, or to make them rest when they went just a little too far. He cared for them that much. He wanted them to be better than what others saw them as, to believe that they were unique.
Looking through the slits in the vent, light from the ceiling illuminating the room. He was above the training hall. Popping the cover to the vent, he held onto it and didn't let it fall and clatter. Instead he shoved it on the other side of him before he leapt out of the cramped quarters onto the maple colored floor. The solid wood hardly breathed a creak before several armed sentries poured in around him. Taking his time to assess the situation, he be breathed a calming slow breath. He was always one to practice calming down. His animal instincts were overwhelming at times. He found it particularly hard to be near Rae without feeling like he were burning like the sun. His hand that now cradled the chain and the wickedly curved knife, let the chain dangle, on one end was a weight, roughly equivalent to ten pounds on the other of course was his means to attack.
Methodically beginning to whip the weight around in a slow deliberate arch. It were almost like he were about lasso something and was very capable of ensnaring limbs and weapons a like. The first sentry rose his weapon, lifting it to take aim at Shen. Shen reacted like a venomous snake, allowing the chain to slide over the back of his neck and the thrust forwards. The weighted ten pound solid steel ball striking the man dead center on the bridge of his nose, sending him backwards as his legs immediately gave out to the concussion that he now suffered from. Gyrating his hips in a circular manner, and his head as well, Shen pivoted. Bringing his left foot in a counter clockwise manner behind him, the ball smashed along the man's jaw and the weighted ball just kept going freely. The human tissue failed to absorb the blow and the bones of the second sentry's jaw were left mangled spewing teeth and blood as he he spiraled to the ground.
The chain arch, and Shen's body instantly moving with it, it was like they were one in the same. He threaded it between his own legs kicking to for added momentum as it went low. The ball struck a third man in the testicles, causing him to immediately to drop and clutch himself screaming. The weighted chain spinning faster as Shen followed through, stepping over it with skilled ease before, finishing the figure eight circuit. Immediately he swung the weight in reverse and brought it down like a hammer on the back of the soldier's head over the occipital bone sending him face first into the hard wooden surface.
Whirling the ball around, he caught the forth in the chest. His Kevlar armor softened the blow to a bare minimum, but it still winded him. The sentry began to fire, but the darts were too slow compared to standard ammunition. Shen twisted and arched his body as fast as it would go, the muscles rippling and tensing; pulsing like they had a heart beat of their own. Turning, Shen's right hand, the one that held the balded weapon suddenly slung the bladed weapon outwards like a whip lash. The razor sharp edge gleaming was the last thing the man saw before its tip cut through both eyes with surgical precision. Screaming as blood gushed from his eyes, the sentry drawing his sidearm he he took careless aim firing randomly.
Shen persisted, his body moving in wide, intricate circles as bullets whizzed by, grazing both his arm and his hip but just barely. Thrust the blade out once more he skipped the wounded man, and went for the last kill. The knife perforated the fifth man's shoulder, and with a forceful tug he was pulled into the crossfire. Several of the last bullets that were fired struck him in the back. One penetrated. Spinning his body against the bent chain counter clock wise again, his eyes on the wounded fourth man trying to to run now that his firearm was empty. Shen stepped forwards dominantly, his eyes as fierce as those of his animal form, the blade being thrown straight forwards like javelin. The tip tore through the back of the throat, punching through the vertebrata and severing the cardioid artery.
"Where do you think your going..?" Shen said coldly. " Get over here." Shen's hand tightened on the chain his arm flexing, building energy as it tensed. Jerking his arm back, the hooked blade curved against the spinal cord itself and flung the man's limp body backwards as it decapitated him. The knife plunging into the hard wood surface of the once polished floor as the head rolled away, spilling the contents of the body all across, in a sea of carmine. Grappling the knife as he nonchalantly walked by, exiting the room. These men would pay if they had hurt the others, he would make sure of that.
Several minutes late, Shen ran into Cam. He told him to run after the others while he went after the professor. That was before all hell broke loose. Within sight of the professor, Shen was struck in the leg by something. Collapsing forwards, he grunted reluctantly. Gripping the dart lodged in his thigh, he tore it out. His eyes becoming more and more animal like as several sentries gathered around him, trying to pin him down. His shape shifting bulked his body from from five feet to nearly twice that. Growing to fourteen feet in length and weighing over a thousand pounds he easily bucked off his would be attackers, mauling several in a ferocious fit of rage and feral instinct. Able to move faster than a lion, he was pouncing, crushing and tearing his way through mobs of guards. The more his body moved, however worked. Blocking his brains signal to make his mighty limbs move. He soon found himself numb amid bleeding and battered men.
He collapsed, his father, the professor, in his sight. Heaving breaths as several other darts were shot into him. His snout coated in a fine misting of blood and splintered bone. Everything...was getting darker...His thoughts were slowing, his heart palpitating in his chest. Eyes now barely able to stay focused as he lay back on his side, his head firmly resting on the ground..."Father..."

"Here," she said with a little sigh and pressed the key into the lock. Rae paused as there was a momentary click, then looked over her shoulder at the others. "Alright. Let's get Fern and Shen out, then high-tail our way out of here." Frowning lightly, the redhead took a spot before Fern's cell. She turned her attention to the metal grading. "What the hell..." How irritating could this situation get? Somehow managing to keep her cool, she pulled out the keys she had discovered hidden in one corner of the room.
After trying two keys, the third one seemed to fit. Satisfied, she opened the cell door to release Fern. Now Shen. But which cell was he in? Out of everyone he had been the most quiet of them all. The musky smell of the cellar was clouding up her smell, so through the darkness she began going down the row and peering into each cell.

1: is echo-of-daybreak going to make a charrie?
2: When are we gonna start this bad boy? >:D
If we're waiting for those people with reservations to make their characters, I'd recommend we not wait long.... I've seen a lot of RPs die before the start, because people waited too long.
I shall post immediately after I see the GM has made theirs, or at least the first IC post has been posted~
I sound really bossy. :( Dirnit.
Cupcakes and onward-ho, gentlementlemen. And women.

Lots of big cats so far. *cheer* Because we're awesome!
