Nisha nodded, "So, if you dont mind me asking, why are you out here all alone? Without a pack or anything." She asked, somewhat confused.

----

Khodai "Alright yeah, that was kind of mean, but that is the kind of thing Nisha would do."

----

Timber let out a small laugh.

Rain nodded, fully amused.

Finch woke up to an empty feeling in his stomach, something he'd gotten used to after a few months on his own. Yawning, he stretched before padding out of his makeshift den and into the snow, hoping there was some prey out this way.

Leah shook out her slightly reddish coat as she started to walk away from her recent made up den. A small den beneath a snow mound that went up to her shoulders. She had slept all night but had come out slightly sore. She lifted her elegant muzzle and let out a long, emotionless howl. She was wondering if there were other wolves here. It had been a long time since she's seen any other wolves and it made her feel slightly lonel. She let out another long howl, waiting for a reply.

Finch's ears perked up at the sound of a howl not far away, his heart beating faster. Running into other wolves rarely turned out well for him, and usually resulted in him getting run out of their territory. Despite his better judgement, he found himself moving toward the sound, coming to a halt when he caught sight of another wolf a view yards away. Unsure of whether he should try to sneak away or reveal himself, he stood half concealed in the snow and trees as he debated his next move, hoping she wouldn't spot him.

Larka's head lifted when she heard a howl and the scent of two wolves. She threw her head back and answered with a long, musical howl. Her nails dug into the snow as she loped towards the male wolf she smelled. Her head high, she stopped when she spotted the crouching male. He was half concealed in the snow, but her keen eyes had located him. Her head held high, her grey blue eyes swept over him. Her stong, proud stance showed she wasnt afraid of defending herself.

Leah smelt the wolf long before she saw him. She barely made out the reddish looking pelt some yards away and she also saw a grey wolf following it. She weighed her options in a fight with either one of them or both of them. She could probably take on the red wolf and chase off the grey wolf, if they were pack, she couldn't do anything. She growled softly and started to walk toward the red wolf first. She stopped when she was about seven feet away from the red wolf. "Who are you?" She asked as she kept her head slightly raised, but her tail was curled over her back. To leah this was a nonthreatening move, and it sometimes got her in trouble.

Larka took one small step back when a wolf approached her and the red wolf. She was larger then Larka, and didnt seem as harmless as the male. Under her thick multicolored coat, she had a very light and lithe build. Her head held high, Larka stepped between the newcomer and the red wolf that was half hiding. "No blood needs to be drawn- i don't want a fight but i will prevent one if need be. I'm Larka." She spoke in a calm, yet strong voice. Her head was held high but her tail was half up. This showed she was submissive but would allow herself to be ordered around. Her grey blue eyes flicked back to the red wolf for a half second before looking at the new wolf mistrustfully.

The red wolf's eyes widened as he realized he'd been spotted, though not by the wolf he'd first found. Another female had just arrived and caught sight of him. Finch took a few careful steps backward, ears pressed down as he tried to look as small as possible. Maybe she wouldn't attack if he didn't look like a threat. Soon he had two tough looking females before him, and running away looked more and more like a good call. "I-I'm, sorry, I was just passing through, and then I hearda howl, and I thought...I didn't know-"

To his surprise, though, the darker female actually didn't seem to want to hurt him. While certainly not what he was used to, this give him  little confidence. "F...Finch. My name's Finch..."

Leah looked at the female called larka. She showed no emotion but she was curious. Her eyes held no sign of anger, sadness or anything at all. She nodded her head and spoke. "Who said I wanted to fight? I just came to meet you two." She said flatly. "I was just passing through, Like Finch said." She added right after Finch said his name. She noticed his reddish pelt was slightly darker then her own pelt. Leah cocked her head and looked at Finch closely then looked at her herself. She seemed almost identical to him, except for her lighter fur.

"I'm Leah." Leah said after a few minutes. She looked down into Finch's eyes and almost smiled, but she supressed it and was able to keep her face emotionless. "Tell me Larka, can you see the difference between me and Finch?" She asked, in a slightly more lively voice. She could tell the difference straight on. Leah had the looks of a dog and Finch looked exactly like a wolf should.

Finch tilted his head to the side, tension falling from his muscles when he realized there was no immediate danger. If these two didn't want a fight, he certainly wasn't going to give them a reason to start one. He did, however, get a little uncomfortable when the red wolf, Leah, stared moving toward him. There was just something about her that he found incredibly intimidating, probably the way she showed no emotion. Come to think of is, her pelt wasn't all that different from his own. Odd; was she from his old pack? …No, he probably would have recognized her. When she voiced her question to Larka, however, he could feel his heart sink and ears droop. Oh, wonderful. This was about his dang eyes, wasn't it? The only reason they hadn't attacked him was because they wanted to make fun of him. Not unheard of in his case, to be honest. "Here we go…" he mumbled in resignation, wanting them to have their fun quickly to he could get it over with and be on his way.

Larka seemed to relax a little, although she kept an her unwavering stare on Leah. "I've learned not to trust random wolves." she told her, sitting down. Her statement was odd, seeing as she clearly didn't see Finch as a threat. When the female asked what the difference between her and Finch was, she turned to face Finch. "Well, his coat is slightly darker, and he has darker, more comforting blue eyes." She said smoothly, her eyes lingering on the male for a moment before she looked back at Leah again. When she heard Finch move, she lied down in front of him and tilted her head to the side. "What's the matter?"

Leah looked at Finch and heard him mumble. She sighed, "Besides his holo." By holo she meant his different colored eyes. Thats what her old pack called different colored eyes. She kept voice emotionless but couldn't help a smile touching her lips when Larka turned her head. In a flash the smile was gone. "No need to be saddened by being different. Your holo is better then being part dog." She said finally speaking the truth of her different looks.

Finch was actually quite surprised when Larka didn't immediately point out the fact that his eyes were different colors. Had she just not noticed? Even if she hadn't, Leah apparently had. "Holo" was a word he'd heard used by several wolves to describe his eyes since he'd been on his own. In his own pack, it'd been called "The Mark of the Damned," or just "The Mark." Ashamed of his curse that he couldn't control, he glanced away, perhaps hoping that they'd forget about it if he pretended it didn't exist.

The red male looked over at Leah in surprise at what she said next, quickly understanding what she'd implied. "You mean, you…? Oh, gods, I'm sorry, I had no idea. I…If it's any consolation, I really don't think it's that noticeable," he attempted, giving a shy smile to the hybrid. Really, he hadn't even noticed until she'd mentioned it, having been too nervous to really pay attention to it.

Autumn peered outside her makeshift den, unusual ice blue eyes standing out against the snow. She stretched and padded out, her thick, soft coat matted with melted snow. Autumn yawned and shook her pelt out and then began to move on. She has been traveling for quite a while, leaving her usual home. She heard a howl and her head tipped to the side. Deciding, it was okay, she let out a long silky howl, her eyes getting caught on the moon that was visible in the crisp blue sky. Awaiting a response, she shook her coat out again and snorted, then starting off again, her paws leaving fresh paw prints in the snow. "Hm, come out rabbits! I need to eat to you know..."s he chuckled, pressing her belly close to the snow and pulling herself along ever so silently. The only thing keeping her from totally blending in were her eyes. She narrowed them to keep herself as invisible as possible, sniffing the ground. She caught the scent of a sow hare and grinned. She quickly moved until she caught sight of a sniffling figure. She was quite as the night. And then... she leaped, pinning the creature down quickly. But it wouldn't give up that easily. Autumn moved out of the way of sharp claws and then snapped her strong but elegant jaws around its neck, snapping it with ease. "Simple." she growled in amusement ans then picked it up in her jaws trotting along happily. She let her tail move back and forth swiftly in amusement and quickly moved along. She caught sight of a couple of wolves talking (Coda and Nisha). Instinctively she crouched low the the snow, her eyes standing out and the thick frozen water masking her scent. She watched but defended her kill. Her sharp and sensitive ears flicked forward like radars as she tried to tune in.

Larka looked over at Leah. "It's not that noticeable, really. If anything, it gives your ears a cute rounded look to them. It's idiotic for a wolf to reject a wolf for being a hybrid or for having a holo. It makes you stand out in a wonderful kind of way." She said gently. "And as for you, Finch, I adore your eyes. They're oddly comforting. Like I said before." Larka seemed rather mother-like towards the two wolves, although it was obvious it wasn't due to pity. She seemed to trust them, or in the very least enjoy their company. She quickly stood up when she heard a howl. It was pretty far off, but it still caused her to step in front of Finch and Leah then throw her head back and let out a hauntingly deep, musical howl the cut through the quiet forest.

Leah blinked at Finch, and when Larka talked about them she growled, bemused by what she said. When Leah heard the howl, she watched as Larka stepped in front of her and Finch. Leah growled, disliking this, she didn't need to be protected, she didn't need a babysitter. She stood up and started to walk in the opposite direction of the howl. She didn't want to be noticed until, sometime later. She also didn't know if the wolves who lived were nice or not, and so she would do some recon.

Leah was still walking away when the loneliness hit her again. She disliked the feeling, and allowed the emotion to show on her face. There was no one around, so it was safe to show emotions.

Autumns ears somewhat swiveled towards a sort of far off howl and she blinked. So there were even more of them? Hm, made life more exciting, eh? Autumn still crouched there, eying the two wolves skeptically. They seemed friendly... and Autumn would never attack without reason. So, she stood up, buried her kill but made sure it was deep enough so nobody but her could find it, and she shook snow from her frosty coat. She took a few steps forward. "Well, hello there." she chimed, her blue eyes light with amusement. She shook her thick coat out again, sending glittering drops of melted snow about. "Nice weather today, hm?" she said, trying to see if they actually were friendly or not. Considering the two haven't seemed to have met each other before and they weren't trying to kill each other it was a good sign.

Leah looked back and saw Finch and Larka still in the same spot. Leah was about to start walking again when the wind blew into her face, carrying the scent of food. She lifted her head and started breathing deeper, taking in the smell of food on the wind, but soon realized the smell was coming from the other side of Finch and Larka. She growled unapprovingly but walked back over to them. When she was two feet behind Finch she lifted her head and started smelling the air again. The food smell was there but faintly.

"Theres food somewhere, that way." Leah spoke out, and of course her voice showed no signs of emotions. She walked pass Finch and the grey she-wolf, toward the smell. She started to walk quieter and faster as the smell got slightly stronger. She paused when she saw two white wolves(Coda and Autumn) and a greyish looking wolf(Nisha) in the distance. The smell was coming from a spot somewhere beside them, but they looked like they didn't notice the smell. Leah walked silently to where the smell was coming from, ignoring the unknown wolves, nearby. She soon came to a spot where the snow had signs of being undug and put back. She started to dig and came upon a snow hare. She yanked it out of the snow and started to run quickly back to Finch and Larka. She couldn't help it this time, there was excitement on her face as she dropped the dead hare in front of Finch and Larka. She looked back to see if any of the wolves followed her.

Autumn scented another wolf and she quickly spun around. Somebody was stealing her prey. Autumn wasn't going to let this one get away. She pulled her lips back in a snarl and her slender legs began to propel her forward, catching up with the thief. Autumn pushed on harder so she eased passed the she wolf, then spun around to face her. "What do you think you are doing with my meal?" she growled, narrowing her unusual ice blue eyes in hostility. Autumn was hungry, and she would defend her prey. Autumn growled once more and her eyes darted between the hare and the wolf. She took a threatening step forward. "Now, if you don't mind, I'll ask you nicely once." she said in a mockingly sweet voice. This one she wasn't too sure if she was nice or not. "Give. It. Back." she finished. Autumn's fur bristled, her snow white coat standing on end in frustration. Autumn did notice the two wolves behind her, but could care less. She could handle herself. She was rather small, but she had speed, agility, and surprisingly more strength than you would expect.

Leah snorted and cleared her face of any emotion. "I've just found food for my... companions here. You were the one who left your food unprotected, and you're suprised someone else found your food?" She said flatly as her tail curled over her back again, and her head held high. She knew by this she-wolf confidence that she was probably a good fighter, but Leah had been fighting her entire life. She knew all the dirty and classic tricks in fighting and would most likely win if it came to a show down. "Hey! you don't have friends to feed. Your all on your own. no one else to feed but yourself and it looks like you can find more food easily. What about us. We haven't eaten in days." Her voice was emotionless as she looked back at Finch, who looked like he hadn't eaten for sometime and looked back at Autumn.

Autumn took a step closer until she was nose to nose with the cocky she-wolf. "Look here. First, I'm on my own because I don't need other wolves to baby me, unlike some." she growled her piercing glare switching to each wolf in turn. "And second of all, if you think I find all of the food, you certainly have some snow in your head, because frankly, I thought three wolves would have caught at least one piece of food by now." she snarled. "Now, as it seems you won't give back the prey that you little rat had scrounged for, I will have to just take it. It is rightfully mine anyway." she said and before she finished her sentence, she lunged, but not for the prey, but for Leah's hindquarters. She head-butted the she-wolfs flank to know her off balance, and as she did that, a swift and speedy paw flashed out and hooked behind hers, and pulling out knock them out from under her. Grateful for her white coat, Autumn wasn't very easy to find standing still, let alone using her quick and agile speed. Her paws landing softly in the thick snow, but managing a spray of the soft stuff in her opponents direction. Her camouflaged coat, quick speed, and small size, made her very difficult to catch.

Leah jumped out of the way, already knowing the signs of an attack. She could easily see Autumn's snow white pelt against the snow. If it weren't Autumn's claws, nose and eyes then she would have had better camouflage. Leah growled, showing her sharp ivory fangs at the white wolf. Her face was clear of any emotions, as she simply sat down and ducked when the snow came in her direction. She knew the smaller wolf was faster and so she would have to be quicker, which wasn't that hard, if you knew how your opponents advanced with their footwork and shifting their weight around. "Hmm. You got that wrong. I'm with them because I choose to be, not because they need to baby me and if your lone wolf then something must have happened to you in your past. Either that or you just didn't want to stay around and have a life. Anyways, go ahead, go ahead and take you food. I can see you now. An alpha. Whose pack won't listen to them. Being good, isn't always great. Your one them. The kind that always wants to be in control of everything. So, go ahead, take the dang food and leave." Leah stood, picked up the hare and dropped it in front Autumn. She backed up and sat beside Finch.

Autumn slipped out of the way before teeth met flesh and narrowed her eyes at Leah. "Yeah, I'm alone. Maybe because something happened, or maybe because I choose to be, like you choose to be with these." she growled, and grasped the prey in her strong jaws and dropped it at her own feet. Her words stung a bit, because the control freak that she accused Autumn to be, was nowhere near her. And, she never thought of herself as an alpha. "And by the way, no, I won't leave, because frankly, I have as much right to be here as you do. Last I checked, this wasn't your territory." she growled. Looking at the two wolves beside her Autumn shook her head, semi-sympathetically. "Pitiful." she mumbled. Autumn grasped the hare in her jaws and tossed it at there feet. "Don't kill yourselves over it." she growled and then turned and stalked off back in the direction of where she was crouching by her prey. While and quickened pace to a slow run, she inhaled a deep breath and let out a long, silky, and somewhat musical howl.
