D E C O R U S

h e i g h t x // x5'5"

w e i g h t x // x120 lbs

h a i r x // xWith coarse black hair that shifts to brunette in the sunlight, Ani clearly favours her father when it comes to her hair type. Often leaving her chest length mess of hair to do as it pleases, Ani will simply brush it in the mornings and leave it alone. On occasion Ani has been known to tie her hair into particularly messy ponytails, although this is mostly just when she is training or in combat.

e y e s x // xAni has almond shaped eyes, so deeply brown that they look black. The distinctively Hawaiian shape and colour that is somewhat off putting in it's intensity, sets them apart from most other bland brown eyes.

o d d i t i e s x // xWhile she certainly wouldn't call them an oddity, Ani's face is marred with a multitude of freckles, as well as some slightly larger and darker beauty marks. Freckles aren't common where she is from, so many people at home often commented on how odd it was for Ani to have obtained them. She believes they are from her mother - or at least the beauty marks must be.

a p p e a r a n c e x // xBeing the daughter of Aphrodite, it's no surprise that Ani would be exceptionally beautiful. However, what was not expected was the kind of beauty the child would possess. While she isn't your average blonde haired, blue eyed, model height woman, Ani has a very different beauty, entirely unique to herself. Her skin is sunkissed in a way that it almost seems to glow, and she is always ready with a smile that can make even the gloomiest of people crack one back. Her style is simple, but complimentary. Often choosing colours that work well with her complexion, even when she doesn't try too hard, Ani is always well put together. Ani has a beauty that makes people stop and look. Just for a moment.

c u p i dx // x Ani may have little strength when it comes to people's desires,
but she does have some capabilities when it comes to love. Particularly through her singing, which has earned her the nickname 'siren'.

a p p e a r a n c ex m o r p h i n gx // x Ani is exceptionally adept at morphing her appearance, and it is by far her strongest ability. However, it takes a lot of energy and concentration for her to morph, therefore she is exhausted easily.

s e x u a lxd e s i r ex // x Suprisingly, Ani is not an incredibly sexual being, unlike her mother. She has little strength when it comes to manipulating someone's desire for her, or anyone. This is something she doesn't really mind though.

c h a r m i n gx // x Like her mother and siblings, Ani possesses that magnetic personality and subtle charm that immediately draws people in.

g o l d e nxv o i c ex // x Ani's voice is soft and wispy, but nevertheless beautiful when she is singing.

m u l t i l i n g u a lx // x Able to speak all the languages of love, Ani favours Italian as she feels it rolls of the tongue wonderfully.

v a n i t yx // x With beauty comes hubris and Ani is no exception. She cares just a little bit too much about her appearance, which is ironic because her hair, in particular, is always a perfect mess.

f i c k l ex // x Ani is a passionate soul, but certainly not a loyal one. At least not when it comes to lovers. Ani's attention drifts constantly and it's nearly impossible to keep her attention for long periods of time.

d e l i c a t ex // x Unfortunately for Ani, she was not built to be a warrior. As she always says, she's a lover not a fighter. Ani's soft skin bruises like a peach and in hand-to-hand combat she is sure to lose.

M E T U M
xxxxxxxxxxxxβ€’ x f e a r x β€’ x \ ˈ f i r \ x β€’

r e j e c t i o nx // x Being the daughter of the Goddess of Love, Ani isn't used to having her advances rejected. Whenever she is, Ani has a hard time dealing with it and honestly, doesn't know what to do. However, what she truly fears is finding the one person she truly loves with all her heart, and having them reject her.

d i s a p p o i n t m e n tx // x While many may not see the ultra sensitive side of Ani, she is - in fact - incredibly fragile emotionally. The thought of disappointing those that she loves frightens Ani.

w a rx // x As Ani is awful at hand-to-hand combat, it seems fitting that she'd be terrified at the thought of having to actually fight someone. War scares her not only because she can't stand the thought of losing a loved one, but Ani is also afraid of death herself.

P E R S O N A L I T A T E
xxxxxxxxxxxxβ€’ x sensitive x β€’ x loving x β€’ x passionate x β€’ x fickle x β€’

You'd think that as a daughter of Aphrodite, Ani would have better control over her emotions. However, she's always been sensitive, since childhood. Perhaps it helps her be better in tune with others emotions, but it also means that Ani takes things to heart very easily; while she rarely holds grudges, it doesn't take much to upset the girl. Due to this, a lot of people have taken to babying Ani which only reinforces her sensitivity as she's never been told to suck it up or get over it.
Now, it's not like Ani goes around crying constantly if someone doesn't like the way her hair looks, but even things as simple as other peoples emotions are strong enough to influence Ani's. For example, if someone around her is sad, she feels that emotion so strongly that it almost passes on to her and then she will become saddened. Ani feels things very intensely, so it really should be no surprise that she'd be such a delicate soul.

Ani is far more like her mother in the sense that she has a huge heart. Ani loves very easily, and very quickly, which is not necessarily a good thing. This opens the young girl up to a lot of manipulation and some people take such great advantage of this, that Ani has learnt not to trust people too easily, even those she has a deep love for. However Ani has a lot of time for those she deems trustworthy and she places all her faith in them, the betrayal of someone Ani trusts would quite possibly be the biggest blow she could be dealt.

Passion runs through the veins of all of Aphrodite's children, and Ani is no exception. Anything she does, she does with so much passion that it can - at times - be overwhelming. When Ani talks about something she loves, there's this bubble of excitement that grows and grows inside her and makes it hard for the person she's talking to not to fall in love. Unfortunately, Ani hasn't learnt how to fully control her 'cupid' power, meaning that some of this could be due to the fact she is using her abilities - unbeknownst to her.

Fickleness is perhaps Ani's worst trait. It's hard to keep the girls attention for long because her eyes wander and her mind drifts to other plains. Sometimes people comment on how they're surprised she's not Hypnos' daughter by the way her mind always seems to be elsewhere, almost like she's in a dream. When it comes to lovers, Ani does not do commitment. Partially because she's scared, although that's something the girl would never admit. She doesn't see the point in monogamy when there are so many beautiful people in this world. The amount of attention Ani gets, however, doesn't help with her mounting vanity. She doesn't stop to constantly stare at her reflection, but it's obvious the girl definitely cares a lot about her appearance.

H I S T O R I A R U M

Ani started her life in Honolulu's only orphanage. It was a large, cold place, despite the constant sun from the warm Hawaiian weather. No one knew much about her parentage, not even the orphanage staff. Ani had arrived overnight, a heavy knock on the door luckily alerted a member of staff to her presence, or the baby would've been out in the night air for hours. That member of staff would soon become Ani's closest and only friend. She was an elderly lady named Nana, which quickly became very fitting as she took on Ani as if the girl were her granddaughter. Being tiny since birth, the staff worried she was premature and so had to keep a close eye on the girl. As she grew, however, it became apparent that Ani was strong despite her size - not physically but mentally. Ani was rather adept at drawing people in and captivating them which soon earned her the favour of most of the orphanage staff and she was quickly the favourite (not that they could ever admit that).

Having arrived with nothing but a name, Kalani - meaning 'the heavens'. The staff would come to find that there was not a more fitting name for the little girl. She was a gift from the heavens, however what they didn't realise was quite how literal the name was.

As Ani continued to grow, she became increasingly more and more interested in her family. Above her little rickety framed bed hung a drawing of a beautiful woman Ani had seen in a dream and was convinced it was her mother. This woman began frequenting her dreams and while she would say nothing to the little girl, Ani felt such a strong connection that she had to be the woman who gave Ani up at birth. Nana became increasingly more concerned about Ani's obsession with this figment of a woman and tried to steer her toward hobbies that could consume her time rather than giving her hours to think about her parents. This was where Ani found her passion of singing.
After try and failing with countless instruments, Ani finally found that her voice was the best instrument of all. It caught people's attention like nothing ever had, and other children in the orphanage would come to Ani, asking her to sing them a lullaby as they drifted off to sleep.

During her seventeenth year at the orphanage, Ani would fall in love. He was tall and handsome, working just outside at a small flower stall, Ani would watch the man from her window as he sold husbands 'forgive me' bouquets and new lovers the sweetest red roses. Ani's obsession changed from her dream mother to this new, mysterious flower seller. Flowers quickly became Ani's favourite thing and she would fill up her room with roses, sunflowers and Hawaii's national flower - the hibiscus. Frequenting his stall in the hopes that one day he would stop and ask her just why she needed so many flowers.

For months, that day never came, until Hawaii was entering winter - which really was no winter at all, the breeze still held a warm current and the sky was still a bright blue. Ani sat on the steps that led out from the orphanage, singing to herself as she often did. Hearing this, the man suddenly felt the urge to find out who that beautiful voice belonged to. Following all the way to Ani's feet, he smiled at her; the first time he'd ever even properly acknowledged Ani. She felt her heart melt at that toothy grin, I love this man! Was all she could think. Days passed by and the pair spent all their time together, Ani would sing to him and he would fall just that little bit more in love. She thought that he just loved her voice, what Ani didn't realise was that he loved her because her voice was making him. As soon as she stopped singing, he would stiffen a little, almost as if he had fallen out of a trance.

Days turned into months and as Ani neared her eighteenth birthday, she knew that she would have to find a place to live outside of the orphanages walls, but she was frightened, she'd lived in the same little room all her life and couldn't stand the thought of leaving - especially because she'd have to leave Nana. The woman was old and frail by now, and Ani feared that leaving would break Nana's heart beyond repair. But what could she do? Ani had to leave; she was too old to stay. It was then the best idea struck her, Ani quickly ran to her lover, asking him to move to a new home with her, where they could look after her sickly Nana and live together happily.

He rejected her. Ani was confused, what had she done? They seemed so in love before and now, he didn't want anything to do with her. He told her she was a witch, an evil witch who had put him under her spell for too long. Heartbroken that the man she loved had rejected her so harshly, she packed up her belongings and left. Not wanting to stay in this awful place any longer. Ani left her friends, her ex-lover and even Nana behind her as she went. Leaving the elderly lady with only a promise of her return and a kiss on the forehead before she vanished.

Lost and broken hearted, Ani had no clear plan on where she was even going. The girl walked for hours until exhaustion washed over her, finding refuge in a small bed and breakfast, Ani payed the owners the little money she had saved to keep her there for a few nights. However, on the first night of her stay, as Ani drifted off to sleep, she was once again greeted by that face she had seen so long ago. There was a place, her mother told her, where she could go and be with people like herself. What was she? Ani asked the figment. A Demigod.

Resolving to find this place her mother had told her about, and perhaps even see Aphrodite in person for once; Ani used her newfound abilities and a little extra money to make her way to Camp Athens.

Feeling a sense of relief when the girl took the beer, Finley's smile eases into a more genuine, and less awkward, one. Running a hand through his unkempt hair, Finley listens as she introduces herself. "Thank you for that," She begins, and Finley holds up his own beer in a sort of 'your welcome' motion, "I'm Areum, you?"

Areum, what an unusual name. He'd be sure not to forget it. "Finley," He says, pausing for a brief moment to ponder whether he should tell her his ridiculous nickname. Deciding it might be quite funny, Finley continues, "Some people call me Finn though." He laughs softly, before abruptly pausing when he realises she won't understand the joke. After all, she doesn't know who his father is. "Oh - I, um, I'm Poseidon's son." Finley goes on to explain, before chewing on his bottom lip anxiously. It was actually a little shocking to Finley how dumb he was being right now.

Attempting to be cool, or at least some what impressive, Finley holds up his beer before motioning his hand upward. Slowly, the liquid contents of the bottle rise up, coming out of the bottle in a line almost as if they were contained in a tube. Smiling at Areum, Finley then drops his hand and the beer falls back into the bottle, a couple drops splashing back up onto his face. Quickly wiping the liquid off his face, Finley's smile becomes sheepish as he realises maybe that wasn't as cool as he was hoping. "See." Finley adds, making it known he was just trying to show her that he was, indeed, a child of Poseidon.

Moving the bottle back up to his lips, Finley takes a sip, following Areum's gaze as it falls on the little gathering by the fire. Seemed like a lot of people had taken Kalani up on her spin the bottle suggestion. Finley, however, did not feel compelled to join those gathered and kiss a load of random people. Noticing Gwen sitting in the group, Finley can't help up chuckle to himself a little, of course she was - they may not have known each other for very long but it didn't take a genius to see that Gwen was by far the more outgoing of the two Poseidon children.

His sights are then shifted onto another group of campers dancing by the speaker, specifically Andy and her boyfriend. Ajax, right? Finley wasn't certain, but he seemed like an alright guy. Currently though the pair seemed to be about as close to getting frisky in the middle of a social gathering as you can get without it being too weird. Quick to look away, Finley's eyes widen ever so slightly after seeing that spectacle.

Focusing back onto Areum, Finley asks, "So, who's your godly parent?" Taking another sip, Finley shakes his head, "Actually, no, let me guess." This could be fun, unless he got it horribly wrong and she felt insulted. Oh gods. Pondering on it for a moment, Finley runs through all the demigods at camp he'd currently met, and their parent. Sure, she was beautiful enough to be a child of Aphrodite, but her demeanour betrayed, Areum was far too reserved to be the goddess' daughter. Nemesis perhaps? Finley had yet to meet one of her offspring. No. This was harder than Finley had anticipated, and now he was worried he'd put his foot in it.

Glancing over at her again, Areum's almost dreamy aura makes Finley think of a very specific God and a wry smile appears on his face. "You're definitely pretty enough to be a daughter of Aphrodite, but they're usually a little more obnoxious," Finley's gaze slips over to Kalani as he says this. It wasn't the worst trait to have, but the girl could be a bit over the top at times. "The only God that seems right would be Hypnos." Almost certain that he must be correct since no other seemed fitting, Finley's expression falls into a slightly smug, albeit still quite nervous smirk.

Image Duke joined the girls slowly and watched Evelyn's hand hang mid-air and return to her side without shake.

At this rate things might have been less awkward with the drunkards in spin the bottle. It was that unwelcoming he even thought about merging over towards that game. But he preferred not to kiss people under the circumstances that a bottle told him to. Besides, he wasn't sure if this was how Evelyn and McKenna talked to people or there was some underlying stand off thing going on. He preferred the first because then McKenna definitely had a friend in Eve.

Duke bit his tongue for now though, even when he found Eve's questions a little interrogative towards his sister. When she moved to the coolers, Duke took the opportunity to step towards McKenna. "Call me if you need anything." He knew McKenna could handle herself but Duke wanted to cover all basis. Drunks pushing beers in her hand, Evelyn pushing her temper were probably the most concerning at this point.

Duke approached the fire catching the tail end of Alex and Wes's conversation. "...make things awkward for them."
It sounded more like an intimate, private conversation so Duke kept walking, and frankly, finding heat wasn't ever an issue for him. For now he'd have to stay a little longer before calling it quits and returning to his cabin.

Image Mason tried not to snicker as it landed on Trinity. It looked like it took a while for things to click in place for her, but when it did, Trinity went for it. She didn't hesitate which probably knocked Lise's ego up a couple thousand notches. But even Mason was pretty impressed and if she had done the same to him and kissed him the same way, he'd have an inflated ego too. She hung there for an extra moment, flirting with the daughter of Athena. No that wasn't right...death threat?

β€œAl!” Trinity called.
"Don't call her over," Mason grumbled, rubbing his forehead. Even the concept of her rejoining, doing some stupid fake modest giggle about having to kiss someone, annoyed him. Or worse those over confident "seductive" smirks.

A few impatient heckles came her way and Trinity took the spin. When it landed on Theo, Mason peered at Trinity's expression and laughed. For a moment he was worried he'd have to grab Trinity when she pounced and attacked him and they'd have to make a hasty retreat but instead, she kissed him like she was going to war. His eyes widened and brows shot up. It was probably the first time Mason was envious of Theo. Like not knowing whether she was going to kill you or give you the best angry sex of your life...what a thrill.

Mason rolled out his neck. His eyes washed over the circle. If the son of Eris knew some sub-text, maybe he'd revel a little more in the drama or make some drama and chaos, or maybe he'd just keep undressing Mateo with his eyes. Mason's eyes landed on Adrianna and he couldn't help the small smirk that passed his lips. He was hopeful but pretty pessimistic about the odds of landing on her and while she was beautiful, he wasn't swept away in the idea of lust like so many others tonight.
Trinity shrunk back into her spot beside him causing him to turn back to her. β€œWell, next time I join something like this, don't let me.”
Mason laughed. "You did good, I'm honestly...blown away."
Trinity checked her beer. β€œThat’s my cue to go. Good luck, champ.”
"I almost feel left out. Don’t you have something for me?" He tapped his lips as Lise had and laughed.

Boy he hoped Romeo saw Trinity and Theo kiss. Did children of Aphrodite even feel jealousy? His head shifted to Kalani curiously.
"Ani," he said, he thought he had heard people call her that before, "who's your favorite on camp so far? It's not a trick question either," he assured with an amused smile. He definitely didn't expect Kalani to say him, unless in a joking nature. "Just some...soul searching. An interval game, if you will."

Ani isn't sure whether to be annoyed or amused when Lise lands on Trinity, but decides on the latter after Lise's comment. However the amusement quickly turns into surprise when Trinity goes straight in for the kill, something Ani was not expecting. Since Alex had left the circle, even though she'd asked to go next - which didn't make much sense to Ani - it went back to Trinity to spin once more. Landing on Theo.

While she may not have been here the year previous, from the look on Trinity's face, someone must have gone down between her and the son of Artemis. How exciting, Ani wasn't usually one for causing chaos, she was more of a wing-woman than a drama queen, she couldn't deny that this was pretty interesting. Unless, of course, it hurt Wes. In Ani's eyes it was just a game, but then she'd never been in love and seen that person kissing someone else, so who was she to say how her brother would feel? Chewing on her bottom lip, she sends a glance in her half-brother's direction, hoping he would be too engrossed in his conversation with Alex to have taken notice.

"Looks like it's your turn Theo," Ani beams, locking eyes with him, "Although I doubt anyone's gonna be able to top that kiss."
She continues, giggling ever so slightly.

"Ani," Turning her head back to the circle, Ani catches Mason's eye once more, this has gotta be the most he'd ever spoken to her, "Who's your favorite on camp so far? It's not a trick question either," Cocking her head to the side, Ani wonders why on earth Mason is asking her this, and more than that, why he would even care. "Just some...soul searching. An interval game, if you will."

Biting down on her bottom lip, Ani's gaze floats around the circle as she ponders on Mason's question. "Well," She begins, a wry smile forming on her lips, "I wouldn't wanna hurt your feelings and not say you, Mace; besides, I don't want to rule out anyone," Ani had never once heard a single person call Mason that during her time at Camp and hey, if it ruffled his feathers she didn't really care, Ani was intentionally teasing him. "However, I'm more interested in hearing who your favourite is." Subtly avoiding the subject and cracking jokes seemed like the best option to Ani and so she sent Mason a wink, messing with him. She didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by not saying them, or worse yet, make anyone uncomfortable by labelling the her 'favourite person at camp'. Especially since it was probably Lise, and Ani wasn't quite ready to reveal her little crush yet. Not only that, but Ani was genuinely curious as to who Mason favoured seeing as they barely spoke, maybe it would give her more of an insight into the role he had played at Camp Athens last year, since no one wanted to tell Ani the full story, not even Wes wanted to get into it which Ani respected; he lost a lot last year.

Waiting for his response, Ani looks over to Adrianna who was still sat by his side, wondering whether he might say her. It would certainly get him into her good books, although he already seemed to be top of her list. If they didn't end up hooking-up tonight Ani would be shocked, not because Mason struck her as a particularly frisky person, but because Adrianna was queen of seduction - second only to Ani, naturally. Although even Ani couldn't deny that her friend had the 'hot mean girl' schtick down, something that never really appealed to Ani, but she genuinely enjoyed Adrianna's take on it. In fact, Adrianna had been one of her first friends at the camp, and while they were actually quite different, Ani believed it was their parentage that brought the girls together. Plus they were both pretty amazing at talking the pants off of just about anyone. Brushing a lock of brunette hair from her eyes, Ani shifts her gaze back onto Mason.

Ajax had his answer, moving his hand up to cup to jaw gently. He slowly moved around her, until he was standing before Andy. His gaze never faltering from her own. His hand then slid down her arm, until his own arms rested at his sides. With his forehead to hers, she extended her right hand slightly, taking hold of his forearm, stroking his skin with her thumb. The girl's brows furrowed slightly as she took note of his labored breathing and subtle grin.

"I love you..." he whispered.

Andy's heart skipped a beat. Or did it stop? She couldn't tell. Her quickly fell out of sync, causing her to stumble. Her hands quickly took hold of Ajax's upper arms, attempting to steady herself. She couldn't help the tsunami that crashed into her. The past year had been such a rollercoaster, making her confused more than anything about how Ajax truly felt. But her own heart never wavered. Hearing those words effected her more than Andy had ever imagined. Her hands gripped to his arms like her life line from drowning in the overwhelming emotions. Tears began to build in her eyes, no matter how hard she fought them.

Her right moved to his chest, while her gaze fell to her fingers. Andy's hand grasped at his shirt as she tried to steady her breathing. With her hand upon him, she felt his own heart racing nearly as fast as hers was. She couldn't help but smile slightly to herself. She looked up at him, up into those dark warm eyes. At first she parted her lips, but nothing came out. A single tear ran down her cheek as she took a deep breath, before whispering back up at him. "And I love you."

"I'll pass... truth is, I joined for one reason and one reason only." That wasn't all that surprising. Most people only joined spin the bottle in hopes of getting a chance to kiss the object of their affection. Wes didn't have to be Aphrodite's son to notice that, but it did help. He also wasn't blind at noticing something was also on her mind, no doubt similar to his own struggles.

"I... I have to tell you something." Wes quirked his brow, turning his head towards her. He didn't say anything, instead waiting and listening while drawing circles in the sand with his stick. "I.... I'm falling in love."

He chuckled, a slight smile tugging at his mouth. "I know." Love was like a flashing alarm. It was black and white to him. He could feel it like the wind. The strength of the breeze growing with the force of the love. Standing near Andy and Ajax was like standing in the middle of a hurricane, while sitting beside Alex was like a cool autumn's breeze.

"I just... I'm scared of telling them. I don't want to like, make things awkward for them."

Wes sighed, tossing his stick into the fire. He tried not to look, but curiosity got the best of him and his glance drifted back over towards the spin the bottle game. Of course, at the completely wrong time. He sucked in his lips between his teeth as he closed his eyes. It was just a game, right? Then why did that sight bother him so much? Trinity wasn't his and he had no right to be put off by it. But, seeing her lock lips with Theo... Hurt. Safe to say, he'd rather lose his other arm than have to watch that again. Before looking back to Alex, his gaze drifted towards his sister who stared at him as if she already knew. He gave his best attempt at a smile, then returned his attention back to his present company.

"You should tell him," Wes finally said. "'What if's can be the death of you... But, at least when you get how you feel out in the open, you're never left wondering. You've said your piece and the ball is in their court." He shrugged his shoulders. "No matter what happens, you have the security in knowing you did all you can do."

Wes slid his hand into the front pocket of his jeans while crossing his ankles out before him. "I may be an idiot... Pining after a girl who most likely sees me no differently than you do." He looks over at Alex, his expression half amused at the truth of himself and half sad. Ironic how romance and love never seems quite as easy for himself. You think it would be due to his parentage, but if anything, that just makes the absence of it hurt more. "But," he held up an index finger. "She knows how I feel... and basically the entire camp."

He sighs softly, with a little chuckle. "You can be more subtle than me." Wes smiled, patting Alex's knee. "Plus... This 'guy'," he made air quotes with his hand, as if he didn't know whom she spoke of. "He'd be an idiot if he didn't have feelings for you too." After a moment, he clicked his tongue in his mouth. "Or I could kick his ass if he turns you down... Er, try to." Wes laughed, a deep heartfelt laugh. Everyone knew he couldn't fight for shit, and with one arm... He might win a battle with a rabbit, if he was lucky.

Dom actually chuckled at her comment about the ocean eating her. Sloane can't honestly remember a time when someone laughed at anything she said... Not unless it was ironically. Sylas laughed at her often, but simply because he thought she was stupid and naive. But someone actually laughing at her, because she did something that could be considered at least a fraction humorous was nice. It was a new sensation, that she might not experience again for awhile.

She awkwardly chewed on her bottom lip, scanning the crowds of campers. "I like it." Sloane looked back towards Dom. "Your name, I like your name. I mean, it's one of those names that doesn't need a nickname. It can hold its own."

The corner of Sloane's mouth curled into a slight smile. "I... never really thought of it that way." Her right hand raised, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear. "Thank you," she added, breaking the silence. It seemed the short while that they were already talking, the noisy abruptness of the part turned into white noise. Campers were getting drunk, kissing each other because a bottle tells them too and grinding their bodies together. She couldn't care less. But, the surprising part of the evening was someone actually noticing her existence when she expected to spend the evening reading a book trying not to get stepped on.

"Is it that easy to tell? I guess, I'm not doing a great job of hiding how much I don't belong here."

"Why hide it? I don't." Sloane was an outcast, putting it lightly. But, she didn't particularly care, or try to hide it. Her brother was the peacock out of the two of them. He always had to blend in, hide in plain sight. He hated how Sloane did her own thing, never conforming. It's ironic how intimidating people found her, just because she was a daughter of Eris that smiled maybe once a year.

"If I'm being honest, I've tried to talk myself into leaving several times. I don't know what's keeping me here, or I mean maybe I do now." Sloane's gaze fell to his feet as Dom dug his foot in the sand. Now? What did that mean? He couldn't possibly think that she was worth sticking around in this cesspool of raging hormones.

"Now? What's changed your mind? The potential to scare more air-headed demigods? She tilted her head to the side, looking up at him. "Or the prospect of saving more damsels from getting swallowed by the sea?" She had an inquisitive expression, holding his gaze even if he didn't hold hers.

"Why are you here? You're the first person I've meet that has brought reading material to a party."

She pursed her lips, raising her free hand up to rub the back of her neck. "Sylas made me come." Her gaze drifted over towards her brother who sat in the circle of anxious teenagers, waiting for their chance to get their kiss. Her eyes quickly darted to her feet when her brother's gaze met her own. Her company giving him a sadistic smirk that turned her stomach. For the most part, Sloane didn't care who Sylas entangled in his intricate web. But for some reason, it bothered her at the thought of him trying to bring Dom down with him.

"Figured if I had to come, I shouldn't be utterly bored." Sloane looked down at the novel held to her chest. She took it in her right hand, holding it up. "It's The Iliad. A book everyone should read, especially demigods." She turned the book over in her hands, flipping through the pages. "It's a good read, but you have to read the Odyssey once you've finished it. The Iliad is about the Trojan War, while the Odyssey follows Odysseus after the war."

After a moment of looking down at the book, Sloane took a step towards Dom. She held the worn hardback novel towards him. "You can borrow it... If you want." She gave him a slight smile, wiggling the book in her hand. "I've read it like a hundred times."

Theo lost focus on the game for a minute after he caught Gwen staring at him. He looked from Gwen to Trinity, wondering if things with this new girl would fare better for him than the last time he caught feelings for a demigoddess. Trinity's facial expression particularly his eye as she seemed deep in conversation with Mason. Theo's brows furrowed. That fire she always had behind her eyes was intensified, but he could almost see that it was burning out of rage. One of the new girls approached her, snapping Theo out of his state of intense observation. He glanced back at the bottle and realized that the girl had landed on Trinity. Theo almost laughed out loud. Trinity of all people... especially considering he could tell that whatever her and Mason had spoken about had royally pissed her off. She might slap the girl. Surprisingly though, she took the new girl's kiss like a champ. Trinity predictably tried to delay her own spin in favor of seeking an out, but she eventually gave into the peer pressure of the groaning demigods around her. She leaned into spin, and the bottle seemed to rotate forever. As it slowed down, Theo's eyes grew wide. No way... Then the bottle came to a stop, and the reality sunk in. It was pointing unmistakably in the direction of Theo. Shit.

It wasn't that Theo didn't want to kiss Trinity. Of course he did. Just because he had gotten past his crush, she was still Trinity. She was still just as beautiful and fierce. Theo would still do anything for her, but he wasn't sure if she knew that or not. Honestly, he would probably be right back to how he felt before if she felt the same way all of a sudden.

The next few seconds were a blur for Theo. Trinity stomped her way towards him, and he just sat there. He couldn't really move. He was held in place by the weight and the irony of the moment. What if Wes saw? Why did this moment that he had wanted for so long have to come in a stupid game? And what the hell was Trinity mad about? Then she pulled him up with one hand and her back and her lips came to meet his. Theo was shocked by the fire behind the kiss. Was that fury? He almost didn't know how to react. Was she gonna pull away and slap him or was she kissing him with some passion she had never admitted to? Then it clicked that he was kissing a girl, and he let himself get into it for the rest of the kiss. It wasn't like it was long, but it definitely wasn't short. It happened, and then it was over. Trinity turned on her heels and promptly left the circle with only a look and a comment to Mason. Theo just stood there for a second probably looking stupid. No doubt he had a stunned gape on his face.

Kalani broke him from his daze, "Looks like it's your turn Theo. Although I doubt anyone's gonna be able to top that kiss." Theo snapped back to reality, but his mind followed Trinity through the crowd. He needed to go to talk to her. He quickly leaned down to spin the bottle. He could care less who it landed on. It spun and spun until it slowed and ended up pointing at the daughter of Hera. Theo was pretty sure she had said her name was Adrianna. Usually, he would have savored this moment. She was on the short list of hottest girls at Camp Athens, but Theo was too floored by the events of the past five minutes to even care. He approached her, giving her a slight smirk for show and planted a quick peck on her lips. Then he turned away and left the circle at the same place Trinity had. He spotted her immediately as she walked. Theo felt a twinge of guilt as he passed Wes on his way after her. He really hoped the guy hadn't seen what went down. I'll deal with that later. Theo pressed on as he finally caught up to Trinity. He slowly but firmly grabbed her arm to turn her around. He wasn't violent about it in any way. Still, he could never be too careful with sneaking up on the warrior princess. His inhibitions were in the wind at the moment.

"Hey, are you okay? And don't lie to me. I can see it. You know I've always been able to read it in your eyes," Theo stammered out. "Talk to me, Trin." Theo tried to give her a reassuring smile, but he wasn't even sure that came out right.

β€œNot at the present time,” Evelyn replied easily - too easily. McKenna raised an eyebrow, but really, what else was to be expected from a daughter of Nemesis?

β€œI just thought to introduce myself formally," the redhead continued, β€œbut if you were busy, and my presence is a nuisance I apologize for misreading the circumstances.”

Evelyn held McKenna's gaze confidently, unmoving. There was no way in hell she was going to leave - Evelyn knew McKenna wasn't busy, and that she hadn't misread the circumstances (although her presence was definitely a nuisance).

McKenna anticipated the questions, but that didn't mean she was looking forward to them. Dear, God... McKenna's eyebrows furrowed.

β€œDo people often come to you for a favor?” Evelyn started firing away. β€œDo you agree to them?” Evelyn had a slight smile on her face - yep, she was getting to the juicy bits. β€œDo I look like somebody that wants or expects something from you?” Evelyn made no move to hide her blatant searching in McKenna's eyes, gauging her response. McKenna raised an eyebrow, unfazed and unimpressed. She wasn't intimidated in the slightest, but McKenna being McKenna, she was going to give the redhead the truth nonetheless.

β€œCan I get you a drink?” Evelyn raised an eyebrow, reaching into the cooler that contained mainly beer. β€œMaybe something from home?”

It was at this point when Duke decided to step in, turning to McKenna. "Call me if you need anything," he said, letting her fend for herself. McKenna liked that about her half-brother.

McKenna kept a neutral expression on her face as she began to answer the redhead's questions. "Usually, people don't come to me at all," McKenna stated dryly. "I don't have friends, so if anyone were to approach me, they would probably want something. Like you; you want to know how I would respond to your really forward advances, and maybe you might find me abnormal and wonder, 'who the fuck is this person?'" McKenna eyed the daughter of Nemesis skeptically. "If you wanted to know, I do indeed find you nosy."

McKenna paused for a moment, assessing the drinks cooler, before continuing. "I highly doubt that you have any rakija in there," she said, leaving it at that.

Of course, McKenna only being fifteen years old with most of her Serbian life stuck in an orphanage, it was safe to say that she never had regular exposure to alcohol. But she has had rakija before (once, she thought), although it definitely wasn't the authentic, homemade type.

"Wait, what? No. You are not drinking. You're a child. Ohmigosh, you're seventeen. How can I let you drink? How can I answer to your parents?" Seung-min pouted at his friend, although he could clearly hear the barely held back laughter behind his stern facade.

"Everybody drinks before they're legal these days," Seung-min said dismissively (hey, it was true). He dramatically stroked his chin with a finger. "In fact, I can't believe I, at seventeen years old, haven't gotten drunk yet!"

Once they reached the campfire, Ji-hyun immediately headed towards the food, Seung-min following suit. The elder offered a plate of food to the auburn-haired Korean boy, who eyed it eagerly. "Here. Eat some food first, then later when you drink, drink as much water as alcohol so your headache won't be as bad. I'm not going to bring you soup and biscuits in the morning, I'm too lazy, so don't regret your decisions." Seung-min nodded robotically as Ji-hyun finished his spiel.

"Okay, hyung!" Seung-min beamed - it may have seemed like he wasn't paying attention, but Ji-hyun was fully aware of his eidetic memory anyway.

"Go forth and have fun, but I'll be watching you." Seung-min followed Ji-hyun's gaze, catching sight of the spin the bottle game currently taking place.

Seung-min chewed his lip slightly, tapping Ji-hyun on the shoulder. "Hyung...? I'm kinda being inconstant again, so I might go play spin the bottle instead of drinking." Seung-min grinned. "I'm really grateful for your educational speech on taking care of myself, but I might revert to kissing people instead of intaking alcohol." Seung-min stood on his toes to hug his friend from the back, before blowing him an exaggerated kiss as he headed to the spin the bottle game.

Seung-min arrived at the group with a grin, turning to Kalani, who seemed to be the ringleader. "Hey, guys!" he said brightly. "You don't mind if I join in a bit late, right?"

Image "Well, I wouldn't wanna hurt your feelings and not say you, Mace; besides, I don't want to rule out anyone."
"Yeah because everyone knows how fragile and emotional I am," he muttered more to himself than her. Then he smiled to himself, half amused and half disappointed. He should have expected as much of a response.
"However, I'm more interested in hearing who your favourite is," she shot back.
"Oh, I hate everyone equally," he breezed. It felt good and weirdly therapeutic to get it out there even if it wasn't necessarily true. For the most part he didn't think much of anyone. There were a few standouts, fewer he loved, and few he loathed. Kalani couldn't expect a real answer from him either, just like she diverted hers. Part of Mason considered telling her though. Just as an ice breaker and to show he wasn't closed off. But picking favorites really was a tough pick.
"Do you feel jealous or possessive when your favorite is swept up in someone else?" he asked next. More to the point. Mason didn't have to try dance the tango with Kalani. He was genuinely curious when she was the object of desire if she were affected by such emotions.

When it became evident the game was losing its flare, he got to his feet with a sigh and offered Kalani a hand up. Once she was up, he gave her a small smile then offered a hand to Emery, seeing as most of her crew left her. Not that she wasn't independent but Emery would probably do the same for him. He gave a self-conscious look around seeing majority of campers travel off in pairs and groups. Mason cleared his throat. "Are you in need of an escort to your cabin?" He hadn't seen her drink so much but he wasn't exactly keeping a watchful eye on the daughter of Artemis either. "I was wondering too...I didn't really expect to see you there, so who'd you join for?" Mason smirked. "We all have that one special person our kiss compass points towards." Denying that would just be a flat out lie and while they weren't "besties" or anything, they were beyond lying. Not that he'd know the difference if she did namedrop. Mason hovered his hand by Emery to see how she held on her own. If nothing was required of him, he'd happily retire to his cabin for the night but if she wanted or needed brief company, then he'd provide that for whatever extension of time that took then retire to his cabin.

"Oh, I hate everyone equally," Ani rolls her eyes, she knew that many people would buy that when it came from the son of Hades, but Ani had no doubt in her mind that Mason was full of it. Maybe he wanted to seem brooding and mysterious, but she knew that he really wasn't all that hard to read. At least, she didn't think so. His next question, however, surprises Ani ever so slightly. She never expected Mason to be the kind of guy that danced around a subject, but Ani was also curious as to why he cared what she had to say in response, particularly because he 'hated everyone'.

"Do you feel jealous or possessive when your favorite is swept up in someone else?" Sure that his question to her was more a question for himself, Ani couldn't help but wonder who was Mason's object of affection - and who the person they were swept up in was. The only person that came to mind was Trinity, she had been chatting to him earlier in the night and then gone on to have a rather heated kiss with Theo. Plus, the last time she checked, Theo was rushing off after Trinity which certainly wouldn't play out in Mason's favour. The son of Artemis was particularly handsome and Ani knew that if Trinity gave him the time of day, he almost definitely would get her onside.

Trinity certainly seemed to be popular amongst the elder campers, speaking of which, Ani's mind drifts to her brother. Spotting him staring up at the stars, Kalani feels a pang of sadness seeing him alone, even if it was he who isolated himself. She couldn't stand the sight of those she loved not surrounded by happiness. Smiling up at Mason as he offers her a hand, she grabs it and jumps up, giving it a squeeze before she lets go. "For a self proclaimed dick, you're quite the gentleman." She retorts before finally getting to respond to his last question. "Oh and by the way, I've never had that happen to me," A lie, Ani had been madly in love with a man who barely acknowledged her existence before she came to camp plus it seemed like Lise had her sights set on just about anyone else but Ani, "I'm pretty good at getting what I want." She sends him a wink before turning on her heels and beginning to walk off. "See ya Mason," Ani calls back before catching Emery's eye, "Night Em." She didn't particularly know the girl all that well, but Ani was friendly with her enough to say goodbye - she didn't like to be rude.

Waltzing straight over to where Wes lay, Ani plops down next to him, moving her head until it's blocking his view of the sky and all he can see is her beaming grin. "Oi dopey," She teases, her spirits exceptionally high after their night of festivities, "I'm tired, walk back with me?" Since their cabins were next to each other, Ani was happy to head home with her brother. It was clear Wes had no real reason to hang around the party, so she gets up again, dusting the dirt off her skirt and grabbing his hand in an attempt to pull him up. Not that it worked, while neither of the Aphrodite kids were exceptionally strong, Wes clearly was far more muscular than Ani and so she could not pull her brother up for the life of her.

Letting out a huff, Ani waits for him to get up or tell her to piss off; she realised she was being a little annoying, but Ani really just wanted to lift her brother's spirits and so she was acting like a complete goofball in an attempt to get a laugh, or maybe even just a smile, out of him.

A sXXTrinity's lips pressed against Lise's, the latter girl's brows shot up in bemusement, and once they finally separated, said expression did not leave her face.

XX"Was that okay?"

O h ,XX definitely. Lot of passion, which is always fun, although you were sending out some major hate-sex vibes. Not that that's a bad thing. Also, I can tell that you're a little inexperienced, but I would be happy to help you with that.

T a c t l e s sXXas she was, Lise knew better than to say any of this to the obviously emotionally conflicted demigod, so instead she just carried on with her detachedly amused smile, and raised her hand in an 'okay' gesture.

S h eXXher own kiss, she was surprised by how quickly she'd grown bored by the game, which was so often the source of drama and scandal- at least in 90's teen dramas. Her attention was quickly drawn away from the empty beer bottle, as she watched with a smirk the chaos around her. Or, perhaps not chaos, not yet. But brewing. She barely knew half of the people at camp, but none of them seemed especially apt at hiding their emotions. Their furtive glances, their jealous frowns, their conflicted gazes... they weren't subtle in the slightest.

L i s e ' sXXeyes drifted to the angsty brunette -Alex, was it?- as the girl dragged Theo away from Xena, clearly unable, or perhaps unwilling to read the room. Ha. Relatable, amiright? A lot of unpleasant rumours followed around the daughter of Zeus, the most prominent being the story of her murdering a fellow camper last year. Apparently, it had been an act of vengeance, and although Lise sympathised with the notion, the fact that she'd been allowed to return to camp without punishment after literally killing someone irked her slightly. Perhaps it was her logical nature, that demanded fairness in regards to punishment and legal retribution. Then again, it wasn't like she was much of a stickler for rules, so perhaps she was being hypocritical.

T h e nXXagain, she had never murdered anybody, so perhaps she wasn't.

D e s p i t eXXthe drama going on around her, Lise's attention was dragged back to her own circle when Mason (Or 'Fall-Out Boy', as she liked to call him) queried Ani about her 'favourite person at camp.' Despite herself, Lise found herself surreptitiously listening in, curiosity riddled with something else caught in her expression. Ani's vague answer brought a small smirk to Lise's lips, and, satisfied, she took her attention back to the messiness around her. At least, until Ani rose from her seat, and Mason's issued yet another delightfully tantalising question.

XX"Do you feel jealous or possessive when your favourite is swept up in someone else?"

XX"For a self proclaimed dick, you're quite the gentleman. Oh, and by the way, I've never had that happen to me,"

S h eXXsmirked once more, only to scoff as the girl wandered off to join her brother.

XX"Bye, then. She sighed before standing and stretching, looking down towards Dimitri with a wan smile. "Well, then, Adonis. I'm afraid this party blows. I think I'mma make like a tree. " Expression bored, she gestured in the direction of her cabin with a silver-ringed thumb.

A n n i eXXhad never been the type to get caught up in drama, but even she could not help but watch the endless plot threads play out, nor could she avoid sensing the growing negativity of the party, as conflict loomed threateningly over every interaction.

I nXXall honesty, the bad vibes had started to stress her out, and she'd spent most of her time sipping on some peculiarly sweet beverage that Lise had pushed her way during Trinity and Theo's kiss. And then another. And another. Downing the remnants of the beverage, Annie silently rejoiced in feeling the bad vibes fall out of focus, blurring into something she could pretend was joyous rather than toxic.

A sXX Ani left the group to see her brother, Annie waved pointlessly at her retreating back, before leaning forward and placing her head in her hands. Her face, reflected in the bottle, was bright-eyed and rosy-cheeked, the latter a side-effect of the alcohol, the former a typical part of her features. With a finger, she twirled it, watching it spin with a soft smile, despite knowing that the game had already reached its conclusion.

T h eXX bottle slowed to a stop, pointing at the empty seat across from Annie, behind which a figure approached to lean across the circle.

XX"Annie, me and Gwen are going to walk back now, do you wanna come?"

T h eXX rising from the bottle, Annie hiccuped when she saw who it was, and after looking at him for a just a moment too long (easy, she assured herself, to blame on her dizziness... or maybe it was her dizziness. She wasn't too sure, in all honesty) she smiled. Widely. Liquid courage, it seemed, had gripped her.

XX"Yep!"

S h eXXstood up quickly, and a lightness flooded her head, causing her to stumble before she caught herself, giggling. Walking with only a slight wobble over to where Finley and and Gwen stood, she grinned once more, pointing wildly in the vague direction of the cabins.

XX"Let's go!"

"I doubt I'll be missed until the morning. Besides," Ajax replied, then placed a kiss upon her temple. "They have Alex around still." Andy continued to move and sway along with him while his gaze scanned the party. "Let's go," he whispered in her ear, followed by a kiss upon her cheek. He then took her hand and started to lead her away from the party.

Before they disappeared beyond the tree line, Andy glanced back over her shoulder towards the party. She caught Trinity's gaze as she prepared to swim. Andy smiled raising her free hand to wave back towards her friend. Her gaze then fell to Mason, but he was emerged in conversation with some new girls at camp. She smiled softly, before allowing herself to be lead back towards the cabin.

As she walked holding onto Ajax's hand, she hadn't quite noticed until that moment how much the alcohol had affected her. For the most part she was fairly sound aside from the occasional trip ups that she quickly recovered from. She didn't realize until they were there, that Ajax had lead her back to his cabin instead of hers. But once inside, the thought was quickly wiped from her mind.

When the door closed, Ajax wasted no time in pushing her back against the door. Andy smiled up at him as he leaned in towards her, his hand gentle brushing the hair back from her face before he pressed his lips deeply and passionately against her own. She didn't know if it was the alcohol or the moment that clouded her judgement. Andy breathed heavily through her nose as their lips never parted. As Ajax's hands ran down her arms, taking her clothing along with it, her skin quickly covered in goose flesh. She broke the kiss, breathing heavily as she held his gaze. Her hands ran down his chest, until they reached his waist. Andy's fingers grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled it up, over his head. Her nose brushed against his softly as her arms wrapped around him, moving to her tip toes before pressing her lips to his once again.

Image

Andy was deep asleep, only awoken when Ajax's arms wrapped around her, pulling her back against his warm frame in a tender hug. Her hands moved to wrap around his arms that encircled her torso. "Morning, beautiful." She smiled, giving a content, tired moan, not yet wanting to open her eyes and face the morning. It had been the first night in months that she was able to sleep through the night without a dream of the Underworld or her brother's death robbing her of sleep. "Fancy some breakfast?"

She groaned slightly when Ajax left the bed, taking his warmth along with him. Andy brought the blankets in tighter to her. She nodded her head slightly, a soft smile gracing her lips. "That'd be nice," she mumbled quietly.

"You stay there, and I'll bring it up to you, babe. Scrambled eggs on toast okay?"

Andy slowly sat up, pushing off the bed. Her left hand holding the blankets to her chest as she stretched. She rubbed her eyes, nodding her head again with a yawn. "Sure, thanks." With a sigh, she brought her knees back to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs as she looked over at Ajax, watching him get dressed. When he looked back towards her with a smile, she couldn't fight the slight blush that covered her own cheeks as she smiled back.

It took awhile from the cloudiness of sleep to unfog her mind as she sat there. But after a long moment, Andy began to realize she was in Ajax's cabin and not her own. Why did it take her so long to notice this? A sense of dread slowly over came her as she bit at her bottom lip, tightly shutting her eyes. She hoped maybe it was a different room, or her imagination playing tricks on her. But when she opened her eyes and looked around at the room, then the bed it was like a punch to the gut. She felt nauseous.

The minute Ajax left the room, Andy ripped the sheets off of her and climbed out of the bed. When she stood up, she stumbled slightly, bringing her hand to head. Of course she had a hang over. She sighed, taking a deep breath before searching his room for her clothes. As she found the different pieces, Andy quickly wiggled back into her clothing from the night before. She didn't waste her time with her stockings, cardigan or boots, instead scooping them in her arms before walking out of Ajax's room.

Andy felt the tears sting her eyes and she quickly descended the staircase. So focused on leaving, she missed one of the last steps, nearly falling before caught herself at the base of the staircase. When she reached the front door, her free hand reached out to grab the doorknob, but she froze. Her heart raced in her chest as she stared at the wooden surface before her. Stepping out that door, she'd have to make the walk of shame all the way back to her cabin. It wouldn't fool anyone as she carried half of her outfit from the night before in her hands, everything about her screaming the morning after. That's all she needed, rumors spread about her through camp.

The party had lost it's appeal for Wes, quickly getting absorbed in the view of the night's sky rather than watching more people kiss each other or whatever. He didn't want to get up and storm out of the party like a wounded puppy. But, it was definitely easier just not paying attention at all, rather than watching and pretending to be ok. His attention was so lost in his own thoughts, that he didn't hear someone approach. He jumped, nearly screaming when Kalani poked in her head in the line of his sight. "Oi dopey."

"Jesus!" His brows furrowed as he looked up at her. "I want a new sister, I demand a refund," Wes groaned as he rubbed his eyes.

"I'm tired, walk back with me?" Before Wes could give an answer or do anything, Kalani took his hand attempting to pull him to his feet. An amused grin covered his face as all of her effort didn't budge him an inch. If he wanted, he could have given his arm one quick tug and she would have been down on the ground in a blink. She finally huffed, seeming to give up.

"I kind of need that if you want me to get up?" Wes nodded his head towards his arm. Once she released his grip, he pushed off the ground and moved to his feet. He dusted off the sand from his clothes before he gave Ani a playful shove. "You're kind of annoying, you know that?"

He smiled towards her, motioning for her to come along as he slowly trudged towards the woods. Once Kalani was beside him, Wes draped his arm across her shoulders, walking in step with her as they headed to their cabins. He couldn't help but think about how short the party was. His gaze fell to the ground when he realized it was the first party they really had since the war. A lot of friendly faces not there to join in on the festivities, especially the camps number one partier, Daniel.

When they reached their cabins, Wes gave Ani a kiss on the top of the head followed by a hug. "Go get some sleep, weirdo. Not every day here is a party," he teased. "Chances are we'll be training. So, we'll need a good night's sleep to prepare to lose.... Horribly." He chuckled, waving towards her as he made his way up the steps to his cabin.

Wes was barely in his cabin and already kicking off his shoes, and tearing the beanie from his head. He used the heel of his foot to kick the door shut, then shuffled his way towards his bedroom. As he moved, he continued to strip different articles of clothing until he was down to his boxers. With one final yawn, he collapsed on his bed, and was out like a light in no time.

It seemed as though the party had died down in record time. Sylas sighed softly as he watched more and more people file off in groups, or better yet, pairs into the woods. He definitely noticed some interesting developments leave hand in hand, giggling. No doubt he knew there would some interesting walks of shame in the morning. He better remember to set an alarm, he wouldn't want to miss it. Especially... the most predominant couple that was one of the first to slip out for the night. None other than Ajax and Andy. What an amusing night indeed.

When Sylas' gaze drifted back to the spin the bottle game, he noticed that the circle had quickly dwindled to a poor connect the dots layout. He sighed, dusting dirt and sand off the thighs of his pants, preparing to leave. Just before he went to stand up, someone leaned down behind him. Sylas could feel the warmth of his breath tickle his ear. "See you around, Sylas," Mateo whispered.

Sylas glanced back over his shoulder with a mischievous grin. "Yes you will," he replied after the leaving male, while he didn't try to hide that he watched that ass move as Mateo walked away and disappeared into the woods. He ran his hand back through his hair, pushing off his knees as he stood up and left the nonexistent circle.

Dom gently reached out and took the book from her. After a moment of scanning the book, he gave Sloane a somewhat goofy smile, causing her to laugh slightly. "T-thank you. I promise I'll take good care of it. Or at least try not to give it frostbite again."

"Sure." Sloane's gaze followed Dom's as he looked at the dwindling party. She was somewhat relieved that it was ending fairly early. She wasn't in the mood to sit around at the beach until the early hours of the morning, although it was nice talking to someone who wasn't her brother. That hasn't happened since they came to camp. With a soft sigh, she hesitantly extended her hand towards his shoulder, allowing her palm to hover. "Do you mind?" she asked, before lightly resting her hand on him for support. Once stable, she slid her heels back onto her feet.

"I guess I better head back."

Sloane nodded her head. "Yeah, of course."

"It was lovely meeting you, hopefully we get to see each other again soon. I mean, I have to return the book so we'll have to- I guess it just depends on how long it takes me to read it." Sloane noticed he was rambling, but stood their patiently with a slight smile. Dom's cheeks started to flush before he stepped back and clutched the book to his chest. "I'll see you around," he added with a smile before disappearing abruptly like the first time they met.

"Bye," Sloane said softly towards him as he disappeared.

She adjusted the straps of her bag on her shoulders. As she went to head back to her cabin, she heard Sylas. "What in the hell was that?" Sloane tensed, and started towards her cabin, indifferent if her brother followed or not. But Sylas stayed in tow, his long legs not struggling to keep up. "I don't know who's more socially awkward... Him or you."

She sighed, rolling her eyes slightly. "Not everyone wants to pretend to be something they're not... Like you," Sloane replied, a sharp bite in her words.

Sylas stopped dead in his tracks, his hand quickly reaching out and grabbing Sloane's upper arm to stop her. "Watch what you say," he hissed as his gaze quickly checked the woods around them making sure no one overheard her. "We aren't here to make friends... If I go down, you go down with me."

"Oh yeah? Then what were you doing with Mateo Lopez?" With nothing more to say, Sloane yanked her arm free of her brother's grasp. She then quickly ascended the steps to her cabin, slamming the door behind her as she entered. With a sigh, she pivoted on her heels, locking the door.

Sloane made her way to her bedroom. She sat on her bed, removing her shoes and then placed them neatly in their place in her closet. She pulled her bag from her back, and opened it. For a brief moment she panicked, wondering if she left her book at the beach. Her interaction with her brother nearly erasing the memory of the conversation prior from her mind. She sighed with relief, remembering she lent it to Dom. She couldn't help but wonder what made her do that. Sloane had never been one to lend out anything of hers, especially books. She scratched her head before undressing and changing into her pajamas. She pulled down the covers and slid into bed. But, she wasn't tired. Instead she laid there on her side, staring out the window that showed hints of moonlight between the trees.

Andy had almost worked up the courage to go outside when she heard Ajax call out to her. "Andy..." She released the doorknob, raising her hand to cover her eyes as she tried to stop the tears. "...You were just going to leave without saying anything?" He sounded confused and hurt, but then it quickly turned to defensiveness and anger. "What, so you regret last night with me? is that it?"

"What?" Andy's voiced cracked as she slowly turned to face him. Her hands clutching her things to her chest almost like her lifeline. "No, never," she assured him, shaking her head slightly "...I'm hurt." She inhaled sharply, looking up at the ceiling, hoping it would stop the tears. For so long, Andy has bottled in her feelings about... everything. But, now they were boiling up in her and she couldn't contain it.

"I will never forget last night. Being with you... I've never been so happy." Andy raised her trembling hand, wiping her eyes as she looked down at the ground. "But when I woke up in your bed," her hand clutched at her abdomen as she tried to make words. "That bed where you slept with those two sluts, while I cried myself to sleep in the med hut after trading my life for yours in the Underworld..."

As Andy continued her breathing became more labored through the sobs. "Alex... She told me you'd never forgive me if sacrificed myself. But, I did it anyways because..." She took a deep breath. "I never expected to see the light of day again... Or you. Just knowing you were alive was enough." She sniffled, wiping her eyes. "You were mad at me that night and I get it... And I got up in the morning to go to your cabin. To explain why I did it, why I couldn't let you die." Her voice cracked, the mere thought of him dying only making this all worse.

Andy's hand raised, covering her eyes as she tried to steady her ragged breathing. It was a long moment before she was able to make words again. "But... When I got there, I saw those two girls come out of your cabin. Talking about the night they spent with you... And it... it killed me." Andy leaned back against the door as her knees grew weak. She dropped the things in her hands as she slid down until she was sitting on the ground. She brought her knees to her chest, burying her face in the palms of her hands.

"You acted like it never happened," Andy's voice was muffled from behind her hands. "You never said sorry..." She inhaled a shaky breathing. "And I just slept with you in that same bed." She slowly raised her head, blood shot, teared filled eyes meeting his. "I gave you my v-virginity in that bed." Her eyes searched his face, as she searched for what to say. "I don't want to be compared to that. I don't want you to be with me while thinking of them. I.... I'm not like them."

And then she grew silent. Andy couldn't believe everything just came flooding out of her like that all at once. She has tried not to hold a grudge about it, and to put the past behind her. But it just kept gnawing at her slowly. That's why she had never been with him before last night. Every time the thought came to her head she instantly got flashbacks of those two girls and it turned her stomach. It hurt. And what hurt most about it was the fact that Ajax never apologized for it. Never told her that she is what he wanted, not them.

After the long quiet pause, her tears had finally started to run dry. Andy took a deep breath, wiping her eyes one last time before she began trying to collect her things. She wasn't able to look up or meet his gaze. Her hands robotically pulled on each of her boots, slid her arms into her cardigan and stuffed the stockings in her pocket. But no matter how much she prepared herself to leave. Andy couldn't will herself to stand and walk out.

Wes snored, his left side of his body hanging off the edge of his bed. Then there was a knock on the door. In a whirlwind, he snapped awake, startled by the knock. The jolt caused him to roll off the edge of the bed, landing on the ground with a distasteful thud. Wes sat up abruptly, holding his hand out like Jackie Chan about to karate chop someone, even though his eyes were still shut. He groaned, tightly shutting his eyes as he raised his left hand to scratch the ruffled mess that was his hair. Who in the hell could want him at this hour? He swore if it was Ani, he was gonna... Well, do something.

He slowly stumbled to his feet. His left hand extended, catching himself just before his ribs slammed into the corner of his dresser. Wes made his way towards his front door with barely open eyes. He was almost there when he looked down and realized he was only in boxers. "Dammit," he groaned shuffling back to his bedroom. To be honest, he didn't care who saw him like that... but he didn't want to scar some unprepared newbie or something.

Wes plopped his butt down on the edge of his bed, and shoved his legs into a pair of pajama pants that were on the floor. That was enough effort. It was too hot for a shirt, and he had every intention of collapsing right back on that bed the moment he was alone again. If they didn't like the view of his fully exposed stump under his right shoulder... Well? Too bad. As he made his way back to the front door, he stretched and yawned one last time. Honestly, the person could have just walked right up into his cabin, it wasn't like Wes locked his doors... Ever. Probably a bad habit, but he didn't care. If someone really felt the need to get the drop on him, then by all means.

He reached out, opening the door to the crisp cool morning air. Wes flinched when he was hit with the fresh air like an unwelcome wake up call. He squinted his eyes through the sunlight, giving his sight a moment to adjust. Then he saw her, looking like she was second guessing her decision to come to his cabin. "Trin?" Wes asked confused, still groggy and waking up. Then it kind of hit him, it wasn't often she ambushed him at his cabin. So, like a switch, he was awake and alert... Or as alert as someone like him could be. "Is everything alright?" He then took a step towards her, moving out onto the porch while extending his hand towards her. "Are you ok?" His brows furrowed showing his concern.

Sloane didn't sleep much, if at all. She spent most of her night either staring up at the ceiling or out the window, watching as the moon passed overhead and the sunrise. When she finally rolled over to check the time for the millionth time that night, she decided she could no longer stay in bed. If she was lucky enough, maybe she could get up and out of her cabin before Sylas came creeping around. That wasn't on her list of things to deal with at the present moment.

After a good stretch, Sloane made her way to the bathroom. She started the shower, adjusting the temperature until it was the perfect luke-warmth she liked. She had never been a fan of heat, or being exceptionally hot and the shower was no different. She didn't waste her time under the water, instead simply doing her business and then got out. Wrapped in a towel, Sloane made her way to her closet, staring at all of her clothes. Honestly, she hadn't worn half of it. Her mother was always the one that insisted she dressed to impress constantly. But, for the first time in a long while, Sloane didn't feel like dressing like she had a silver spoon up her butt. After all, at camp she could finally be the person she is... Or at least try.

Sloane grabbed one of the more simple outfits her mother put in her wardrobe. At least it was jeans. She got tired of how often she was in dresses or heels. She quickly got dressed, then dug to the back of her closet for a pair of sneakers. On her way out of her cabin, Sloane snatched up her bag from the night before, sliding her leather bound journal in it before throwing the strap over her shoulder. She slid on a pair of sunglasses and exited her cabin, heading to the main hall.

It must have still been fairly early when she got there. The only other person Sloane saw was Harley as she made her way towards the food. One thing she definitely needed was a strong cup of coffee. She quickly fixed herself a rather large mug and snatched up a giant muffin before heading back outside. It was too nice of a day to stay inside, even just to eat. She sipped on her drink as she walked across the field until she found a nice tree. Sloane took her bag off her shoulder and set it on the ground before she sat down with her back against the trunk of the tree.

Shockingly, Sylas had been up and at it for awhile. Instead of bothering his sister, he decided that the morning was the perfect time for him to get a little work out in before the rest of the camp was up. Sloane was never the athletic type, especially when she was instantly taken under Eris' wing as a child. Eris never cared for the physical. She could manipulate people to do her own dirty work, so she never took the time in having Sloane train in any sort of combat. Sylas, on the other hand, wanted to surpass his sister's skills in every way possible, combat included. So, from a young age he put just as much attention into his physical prowess as he did his abilities.

Once the sun crested over the sunrise, Sylas was up and dressed. Outside his cabin he stretched, before taking off for a brisk morning jog. He ran laps around the cabins, using the forest's natural terrain as obstacles. Part of him was focused on his current task, but his inner demon couldn't help but watch the cabin's expectantly... Waiting for the morning after regrets to slowly come stalking out into the morning dusk. He was itching for some drama. So far the camp has been boring in that aspect. Sylas never found meddling quite as fun unless there was some amount of truth hidden underneath it all.

He slowly rounded the main hall, noticing a few stragglers making their way out into the day. Sylas was a bit surprised at one in particular that made him double take. It had been the first time in... Awhile, that he had seen Sloane in anything that wasn't a dress. At first he wondered if she was trying to impress someone, but that would be backwards, right? Women tend to dress nice to get someone's attention, not slum it in jeans and sneakers. He let his jog die down until he was walking, making his way towards his sister. "What's with the change in attire?" He reached down, snatching up her muffin from her lap, taking a large bite.

Sloane tried to grab the muffin from him, scoffing as she leaned back against the tree giving up. "Try wearing a dress and heels everyday and see how long it lasts," she replied to him, not sparing him a glance upward as she sipped from her coffee.

"Where's your book?" he asked with a mouthful of muffin.

"I don't read all the time, Sylas."

"Uh, yeah, you do." He squatted down a few feet away from her, resting his elbows on his knees as he took another bite.

Sloane sighed, tapping her fingers against the coffee mug in her hands. "I lent it to someone, if you must know." She sideways glanced at him.

Sylas' grin was cheshire like, creepy and menacing. The hand that help the muffin, pointed its index finger towards Sloane. "So the spider is spinning its web."

"I'm not doing anything," Sloane corrected, a sharp bite in her words.

He clicked his tongue against the side of his mouth, pushing off his knees so that he was standing. "Watch yourself, sis." Sylas put the last bit of the muffin in his mouth, and balled up the wrapper in his fist. "We'reβ€”"

"Not here to make friends. Yeah, I know," Sloane interrupted him, tired of hearing the same speech everyday.

Sylas' jaw clenched as he exhaled through his nose. He pursed his lips, tossing the balled up muffin wrapper into Sloane's coffee. "You don't need friends, Sloane. They'll drag you down... Make you sympathize and care. Especially, that Khione boy. All we need is each other. Friends are liabilities." He then leaned over, whispering in his sister's ear. "Get too close to them, and I'll prove it." He backed up, making intense eye contact with her. Sylas then plastered his face with his perfected fake smile. "Enjoy your coffee, sis." Then he left as quickly as he came, jogging off back into the woods.

Once Sylas was gone, Sloane looked down at her tainted coffee. Her jaw clenched in frustration before she poured out the drink and soggy muffin wrapper in the grass beside her. She sighed, inspecting the inside of the coffee mug, then set it on the ground. What appetite Sloane had, gone now.

After walking home with Wes, kalani had immediately fallen asleep once her body touched her bed and as the sun rose the girl was still bundled up in the duvet and blankets, barely visible from within their depths. Never having been a morning person, Kalani had found that she'd only become lazier since being at camp, with her own luxurious bed and sleeping quarters, Kalani made sure to appreciate them fully by spending her time there as much as possible.

Back at the orphanage she had to room with seven other girls, with eight beds all crammed into a little room it was no surprise that Kalani had never had such a good nights sleep as what she got at camp. In fact, most nights she couldn't sleep a wink, her mind to preoccupied with thoughts of her family, and her love. The man that had broken her heart for good.

Rolling over, Kalani entangles herself in the blankets so that it's near impossible to see where they begin and she ends, twisted around her legs and torso. Gods, she did not want to get up. Alas, her stomach had other ideas and as it began to gurgle, Kalani's eyes fluttered open, sighing at the thought of leaving her pit of warmth. Rubbing at the sleep in her eyes, she kicked off her covers as best she could, although the sheets still clung to her left leg. She knew that she'd never get up so long as she had their warmth for comfort.

Freeing her leg from the blankets clutches, Kalani flings her hands up into the air, stretching while a yawn escapes her lips. The only food Kalani kept in her cabin was some granola bars and chocolate - snacks for when she wanted a night to throw on a face mask and pamper herself. As she thought on it, Kalani realised that she must rope Wes into joining her one evening, grinning at the thought of her elder brother in a green face mask with cucumber slices over his eyes.

Swinging over legs over and onto the wooden floor, Kalani makes her way to the bathroom, doing the basic daily routine so that she felt comfortable enough to leave her cabin. After having splashed her face with water and quickly brushed her teeth, Kalani drags a comb through her unruly hair in an attempt to get it to cooperate. Finding that it didn't want to look nice today, Kalani huffs before grabbing a scrunchy and throwing it into a high ponytail in defeat. Whatever, she was only getting breakfast.

Not bothering to switch out of her pyjamas, Kalani simply throws a top over the sports bra that she slept in and pulls on a pair of sneakers. Makeup was not something that she could be bothered with today. Looking over her appearance in the mirror, Kalani sends herself a wink before she heads for her door, slamming it shut behind her.

Luckily for her it seemed to be a nice morning and Kalani's exposed legs didn't feel a chill. In fact, it looked as though the sun would come out in full force today, which brightened Kalani's mood as she made her way over to where Wes stayed. However, before she can get there, Kalani hears talking and slows down, recognising one of the voices as Wes'. Peering over to where his cabin was, Kalani spied Trinity standing outside his door while a shirtless Wes chatted to her. Rolling her eyes, Kalani stifles a giggle at her brother's topless antics - well that was surely one way to impress a lady. Deciding not to bother them, Kalani instead heads to the hall alone, hoping that she'd find someone to chat to on her way.

Outside the hall Kalani spots Sloane sitting under a tree, she looked peaceful and Kalani wasn't going to bother her until she saw Sylas approach his sister. Their conversation seemed nice enough, for the two oddest siblings at camp. Sylas was okay, a little pompous but nothing out of the ordinary. Sloane, however, was a little more peculiar. Nothing about her screamed 'weirdo' but the way in which she interacted with people was just, different. Not that Kalani let it stop her from attempting to befriend the girl.

In fact, Sloane was perhaps the one person that Kalani had yet to have a positive conversation with. Never feeling as if it was the right moment to approach the girl, Kalani was sure Sloane noticed her smiles and waves, but wasn't entirely sure of what the daughter of Eris though of her. Lost in her thoughts of the siblings, Kalani almost missed Sylas ball up what seemed to be a wrapper and throw it into Sloane's coffee. Frowning slightly, Kalani found herself perplexed by the action, it wasn't very brotherly of him. Kalani had just assumed the pair had a positive relationship; they spent enough time together after all.

Slipping past Sloane, Kalani makes a beeline for the coffee and grabs two mugs, filling one of the mugs with sugar and milk whilst she left the other black. Grabbing a sugar sachet and a little cup of milk, she then notices a plate of croissants and as she goes to grab one, her stomach rumbles as if in approval. Kalani then performs what almost looks like a balancing act in an attempt to carry all the items at once.

Pushing her back against the halls door, Kalani manages to make it out having only burnt her hand a little on the coffee that spilt from the mug she had made for herself. Smiling when she noticed Sloane still seated under the tree, Kalani walks over, sitting herself down next to the girl. "I got you this," She begins, placing the black coffee down in front of Sloane, making sure to put it on a flat piece of earth in order to make sure it didn't spill. "Oh and, uh, I don't know how you take your coffee so, here." Dropping the sugar sachet down next to the coffee, Kalani then places the milk next to it. Sending her a warm smile, Kalani hopes that Sloane doesn't just tell her to go away and in all honesty, even if she did, Kalani would probably stay and finish her food anyway. She didn't back down from a challenge that easily.

Breaking her croissant in half, Kalani nudges Sloane's arm with her elbow as she extends the other that holds one half, in an offering motion. Shoving the other half into her mouth and taking a large bite. "Looking forward to todays training?" Kalani questions, attempting light conversation once she had finished her mouthful. Brushing a crumb from the corner of her mouth.

Image "For a self proclaimed dick, you're quite the gentleman." Mason frowned. He never called or thought himself a dick directly. Sure he knew he was rough around the edges and other people thought he was a dick but... a thank you probably would have sufficed from Kalani. Maybe that one 'I hate everyone equally' comment had painted that picture. Andy and Trinity would have just laughed. Andy would probably bump him and tell him to lighten up and Trinity would nod and probably chime 'me too.' "Oh and by the way, I've never had that happen to me," she answered. "I'm pretty good at getting what I want." She winked and spun on her heel. Yes, the spoiled children of Aphrodite were. "See ya Mason."
"See ya, Ani."

His dialogue with Emery was no better, the small brunette turning into a mini sass queen. "My knight in shining armour. I'd be so terrified of what lurks in the dark forest if you weren't here." She giggled. This is what he got for being nice. "You don't have to if you don't want to, but a walk up the hill together would be nice." Mason fell in step with Emery as his answer. He wouldn't have risked offering if he didn't want to go a step further with the daughter of Artemis.

To his last question, she began to answer, "I didn't really have anyone in mind. Just joined for a bit of fun. Although if you know anyone that's interested in me you should let me know, I could have a little fun while I'm here at camp."
Mason grinned. "Is fun code for fling in this instance?" He guessed in her slightly more scrambled brain it was. "Don't worry, I'll let you know. I'm very 'in the loop'."

When they reached her cabin, Emery turned and leaned against the doorframe to face him. "Thanks for protecting me from lions, tigers, and bears, oh my," she said and Mason smiled sadly. He hoped she didn't feel the less pleasurable effects of alcohol in the morning. "You're a good egg," she concluded, throwing her hand lazily into his shoulder or something like that, and afterwards stumbling into her cabin. Mason lurched forward to help but she had enough composure to give a final, "Goodnight!" call and to shut the door behind her.

He let himself laugh quietly and headed back to his cabin. He must've sat up in bed for a couple more hours at least. Not doing anything really except waiting for his mind to go blank and sleep to take him. Mason didn't have nightmares anymore but he was afraid of them.

____________________________________________________________________

When he finally convinced himself to get up, the next conviction was much more of a press. That being to get out of his cabin and his stomach argued that point largely. He sighed out letting the need for food win again but not before getting changed. If throwing on the closest shirt and whatever slacks counted.

On his way to the hall, Mason spotted a girl on her own lapping up the sunshine and fresh air. He couldn’t recall her name regrettably but she was eye capturing without trying to be. She never made a scene of herself and he knew little about her, except that he was intrigued by her. Keep walking, keep walking, he told himself. Mason kept watching her. Then there was no mental tear about it as Kalani approached her instead. He'd have to high-five the girl or something at some stage for making the decision easier.

In the dining area, there were a few odd bodies already in place, including Emery, feigning interest on her phone, a clever avoidance technique from conversation, and Harley. He sighed out and found his own seat.

Image They shook hands firmly which gave the girl some brownie points with Duke. But just as easily, things took a turn. He jolted in attempt to catch her but the mini collision had already happened and been resolved just as quickly before he could respond.
”Ah, sorry! Sands a smidge wetter than I thought there.” He only smiled and shook his head to communicate no harm was done, unlike the effect on her castle and statues. Maybe he should have apologized. ”Thanks, I've always had a talent for sculpture. It's no so much the crowds, nor the parties ye ken. It's just been a lot to take in, lot to go through. And I divent know who people is.” He gave a nonchalant gesture as he found himself trying to repair and rebuild her castle wall. ”Given who we are. A suppose we've all lost stuff afore we come here, maybe that’s why we're sent here. Soes them we love don't find themselves in the crossfire.”

He sighed out. "I think the point of a party," he emphasized to keep their topics less soul bearing, but in no way ignoring the girl's observation of why half of them were there, "aside from an excuse to drink, is to meet people and, uh...what do people say? Let down their hair?" He furrowed his brows. All those snazzy expressions and lingos weren't his territory.

”Ye must think I'm an idiot. A wee lass playing in the sand on 'er own.” Duke laughed. Not in a cruel way though. He had to admit, many people of their demographic didn't play in the sand alone or at a party but he didn't think that made her an idiot. ”Seems we're nearing the last still out, party must be coming to a close. Time for us to head back?”

Duke glanced over his shoulder. And so the party was, but the dying fire and party couldn't hold his attention. "Different is good. And you can head back..." he begun, palming over a heap of sand to start his own castle "whenever you like." Duke raised his hand towards the bonfire, giving it new life and passion to light up the beach for them once again. He grinned towards fire then his company. "So for reference do I call you wee lass or do you have a real name?"

It took some time for Duke to project his vision on his castle, especially working with something as small and delicate as grains of sand that fell through his hand or off the sides, but he made it work eventually. Once his task was complete, he climbed to his feet and offered the girl a hand up and walked her to cabin, bid her goodnight then went to his cabin for the night.

____________________________________________

It had crossed his mind in the morning to knock on McKenna's door and ask her if she wanted to grab some breakfast together, but he thought it best to leave her be. She could have already been engaged and committed in an experiment, her work or simply enjoying a sleep-in.

Duke kept walking and stumbled upon no other than Alex. Doing a workout by the looks of things, using a limb of a tree to pull herself up. "You got to engage your core," he said and automatically held his as demonstration. "Don't pull up on momentum, pull up with these."

"Andy," Ajax said softly towards her. Andy slowly raised her head, using the sleeve of her cardigan to wipe her eyes. "I know I'm not the greatest boyfriend ever, but I love you with every part of me. You make me do and say things that I've never done before since I'm comfortable with you. I can be just who I am. I know I messed up with those girls, and I am sorry. I just... I wish I said that to you a lot sooner. What soulless I did, wasn't me.

"I will never, ever, hurt you like that. I should have been a better boyfriend, I should have helped you to feel reassured. I... I am sorry that I failed you when you needed me most.

"You did everything you could to save me, and I never once told you how proud of you I am. I don't want anyone else, okay? I want you. I will never think of them while in that bed with you since you're all I think about every second of the day. What can I do to make it up to you? how can I fix this?"
Andy held his gaze, her hands covering her mouth. Her fingers curled around the cuffs of her cardigan, hiding her hands behind the fabric. She didn't have a black and white answer to that question. It wasn't that simple.

"Please, Andy... please give me a second chance to make it right. I won't ever leave your side again. I promise. Just... don't leave me," he begged, sounding terrified that she'd get up and walk right out that door without turning back.

She frowned behind her hands. "Ajax..." Andy sighed. "I'm not leaving you," she reassured him, holding his gaze as spoke. "I'm just exhausted... I'm so tired of hurting. The guilt of Daniel's death weighs so heavily on me that I feel like I'm suffocating, all the time. I barely sleep because of the reoccurring nightmares of the Underworld." Her gaze falls to her hands in her lap as she breathes heavily, sniffing back the tears. She'd never really talked about everything she was going through internally, instead just bearing it without burdening others.

"And, I just need my boyfriend," Andy's voice cracked. "I put on a brave face for everyone... I just need someone that I don't have to be brave around all the time. I hurt constantly, and I don't want to hurt around you too." Leave it to Andy to ruin just about the most normal, coming of age experience in her life.

She was overwhelmed and couldn't hold it in, or keep it to herself anymore. Training and fighting was an outlet for her for such a long time, that even her body couldn't handle the torment she was putting herself through. Andy was constantly covered in bruises and awake way more than she ever slept. She was exhausted, emotionally and physically. She's been tip toeing around for so long, hoping that if she pretended her life was fine, eventually it would be. Andy didn't want everything to come boiling to the surface like it did, or when it did. But it seemed that just the thought of those girls tipped her over the edge.

"I just need one thing in my life... to work out," Andy whispered under her breath, practically begging. She didn't necessarily say this to Ajax, but more to herself and the Gods and fate. Her gaze was fixated on her hands as her fingers tugged at her cardigan in her lap.

β€œYeah!” Trinity said abruptly, making Wes do a slight double take. She then moved to her tiptoes and pointed to the interior of his cabin. β€œI’m actually just here to visit your little treasure trove. You're okay too, but uh... I really like your cabin.”

"Thanks?" Wes said with a bit of apprehension. "So... You came to my cabin at the ass crack of dawn to... admire it?" He questioned, not really believing that that was her entire motive for popping up at his place. Honestly, he couldn't even remember if she had been to his new cabin. The Hydra destroyed his original one... And then for the longest while, he crashed at her cabin. Then the med hut was his home... And then she went home to see family. So yeah, not much time to get a tour or anything.

Trinity took his outstretched hand with a smile. β€œStop fussing.”

Wes smiled softly while shaking his head. "Yes ma'am." After she stepped into his cabin, Wes hooked his right foot around the door and pushed it shut. He sighed, shrugging his shoulders. "So yeah, this is my cabin... Well, my second cabin," he corrected.

β€œBetter hide those promiscuous girl pictures and magazines, huh Sleeping Beauty? Or is it all online these days?”

Wes scoffed and then chuckled softly. He motioned his hand towards his cabin. "By all means, Nancy Drew... If you find something, I think I'd be as surprised as you would be." There are many reasons why Wes wouldn't have stuff like that in his cabin, but he didn't feel the need to list that to her. Instead, just going along with her joke. "Unless it was Andy's idea of a joke when she made this bad boy for me." His hand patted the wall like a proud owner would showcase a sports car.

Trinity brought her hands together and cleared her throat, catching Wes' attention. He turned slightly to face her with a raised brow. He watched her as she made her way to the nearest table. β€œNow correct me if I'm wrong but a certain Ken doll agreed to an arm wrestle.” She was waiting and ready with her left hand opened for his. He laughed as she tried to bite back the mischievous grin on her face... Wasn't working.

"And so the true motive presents itself," Wes laughed, as he slowly walked over to the table. He grabbed the chair spinning it around. He let his legs slide to either side of the seat, sitting backwards in the chair. "Are you trying to stack the odds in your favor by ambushing a sleeping man in the morning?" He cocked his head to the side. Wes then placed his left elbow on the table and took her hand in his. "You must be really worried that I'll win."

To the unknown viewer, this arm wrestle looked severely unbalanced. Wes had nine inches on Trinity in just height. Not to mention that his bicep was nearly three times the size of her own, and his hand seemed to just about swallow hers. But Ares kids were also crazy strong. This would probably be the most evenly balanced arm wrestle Trinity would ever experience... Other than going against her brother. Wes wasn't too worried about losing... Being Trinity's slave couldn't be that bad. Simply because she wasn't mean enough to make him do something too degrading. But, he still wanted to win. The idea of a date with her was almost too good to be true.

"On your count, Blondie." Wes smiled towards Trin, tapping the tips of his fingers against her hand.

Sloane sighed, watching her brother run off into the woods. Alone again, she let the tension fade away. She began slowly braiding her dark hair to the right side. As she tied the end of it, she looked up feeling eyes on her. Mason Hughson was heading toward the main hall, but unmistakably staring right at her. Sloane's brows furrowed slightly out of curiosity. Why was he looking at her? Most people just moved on without sparing her a glance... Kind of like she wasn't there. Did the Hades boy even know her name? Not likely.

Her attention was quickly drawn in a different direction when she heard approaching footsteps. Sloane didn't say anything as Kalani made herself at home, taking a seat beside her. Sloane had half a mind to scoot away slightly but that's where she poured out her coffee not five minutes earlier. "I got you this," Ani said as she set the mug of black coffee on the ground in front of her. Sloane felt herself instantly go rigid, scared to make eye contact with the Aphrodite girl. What all had she seen between her and Sylas? Did she hear anything? If she hear anything... Sloane was dead meat.

"Oh and, uh, I don't know how you take your coffee so, here." Ani then set down some sugar packets and milk next to the coffee.

Sloane just sat there quiet for a long moment, then finally reached forward and grabbed the mug of coffee. "Uh... Black," she said quietly, bringing the drink to her lips. Before she took a sip, she spared Ani a slight sideways glance. "Thanks."

Kalani then took her croissant and broke it in half, offering Sloane a piece. "I uh... Lost my appetite," was all she could manage to say. She appreciated the gesture but instead just went back to sipping on her drink, hoping it would wake her up soon enough.

"Looking forward to todays training?"

Sloane tapped her fingers along the coffee mug. "Not really." She took another drink, watching as more campers slowly started filing out of the woods and wondering towards the main hall. "I can't fight." That was the plain and simple truth of it. Sloane had better luck trying to find a dragon rather than fighting anyone. She was small, awkward and had virtually no muscle mass. So, she wasn't really what warriors are made of.

As Sylas finished another lap around the cabins, he slowed down seeing that his sister had new company. He couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly. He looked towards the main hall, and decided he probably should eat something. If there was a training exercise that day, he'd need energy. He stepped through the threshold, scanning the few bodies that were already inside. None really interested him... Until he saw Mason sitting by himself.

Sylas grabbed him self a bowl of assorted fruit and an orange juice, then walked over towards the Hades kid. "Hey man," he greeted Mason, raising his juice. "I've been actually meaning to catch up with you. Mind if I sit?" Before he got an answer, he made himself at home, taking the place across the table from his company. Sylas took a couple minutes to get some food into his system before getting down to what he wanted to talk about.

"It's kind of crazy how fast word travels around camp. And I thought High School was bad," Sylas scoffed, tossing a grape into his mouth. "Nothing is ever secret here, is it? I mean, I've been here what... two weeks? And I already know about everything that happened last year, and I wasn't even here." At this point it probably didn't seem like Sylas was going to reach a point, but he was. Everything he did had a purpose. Mason was a formidable guy, with a strong hatred towards the Valises. That definitely peaked Sylas' interest.

"I mean, damn... Some of the shit you all went through, I can't imagine." Sylas allowed his tone to drop to a more somber and sympathetic level. "... I heard about your sister. That's rough, man. I'm sorry. If someone killed Sloane," he sighed, shaking his head. "I don't know what I'd do. I wouldn't be able to rest until I got revenge." A lie. If Sloane died, Sylas would see it as an opportunity to be the favorite in his mother's eyes. "Like who the hell does Alex think she is?" Sylas asked in a whisper, but a sharp bite hung on every word. "A murderer is allowed to walk around camp like royalty, while your sister is in the ground!?... That's fucked up." He shook his head as he ate another grape.

The entire time Sylas talked, he let just enough anger, animosity and sorrow flow from himself and into Mason. After all, he didn't want to make the guy a raging mess. If he could just say the right things, Mason could be a strong friend to have at camp. So, the guy wanted to take down the Valises? Sylas could help... In more ways than Mason understood just yet. But given enough time, he could prove his worth. Eris children definitely shouldn't be overlooked or under estimated.

"But the thing I don't get is... How in the fuck is Andy with Ajax and not you?" Sylas took a long drink from his orange juice before continuing. "She has saved Ajax's life how many times? But, you were the one that saved hers. And she went home with him last night, not you. Makes no sense. I mean, it's obvious you both belong together... " He sighed softly, leaning back in his seat. "I don't get it... How have you not killed them yet?"

Sylas didn't need to say who he met, it was obvious he was talking about the Valises. You couldn't kill one without the other coming after you with a vengeance. Kill Alex, and Mason would get revenge for his sister. Kill Ajax, he knocks another self righteous prick off the face of the world and frees up the girl. It was a win win situation in Sylas' books.

"Sorry to get deep," Sylas apologized, dusting his hands off on his pants. "I just had to try to make sense of some of this shit. Because I tell ya, it makes no sense to me. I'm on your side, dude."

As he made his way to the hall, Finley spotted Annie and Kalani seated under the shade of a tree just outside the entrance, however as he acknowledged them, Finley notices another slightly more unfamiliar face in their midst. Sloane, Annie and Kalani? Now there was a weird group of people. Two of the bubbliest girls at camp seated with perhaps the least talkative, somehow even less than Finley himself - which was not an easy feat.

Passing the girls, Finley's eye catches Annie's and he sends her a wink, in a 'remember last night' type of way. He didn't want her to feel embarrassed but he also knew he couldn't not acknowledge it. Especially after what she had said to him. Finley wasn't sure whether Annie knew he was part Korean, but he figured not since he doubted she would have said what she did to him, knowing he could understand her; although she did seem extremely tipsy so who knows. It would be easy to assume Finley couldn't understand Korean, especially since he grew up in Australia, but despite that his mother's roots were in South Korea, where her grandparents used to live and she thought it was important to make sure her son learnt his native tongue.

Finley wanted to stop and talk to the daughter of Apollo, but his stomach had other ideas. Figuring if they were gonna talk about it, he probably shouldn't be constantly making questionable noises resonating from his stomach, Finley heads into the hall, his face lighting up at the sight of the food. The camp always had an amazing spread and Finley was instantly drawn toward it, grabbing himself a bowl and goes for the fruit. Having a preference for healthy foods over sweet stuff, Finley makes sure to sample a little of everything they have to offer until his bowl was filled with different fruits, not forgetting to grab himself a fork while he's at it.

Glancing around the hall, Finley's eyes finally land on Nik and with a relieved smile, he makes his way over to his friend, placing his bowl down opposite him. "Morning," He greets Nik, taking a seat, "How are you?" Finley asks as he tucks into his fruit, noticing the book in Nik's hand. "Oh man, sorry am I disturbing you?" He continues, concerned that he just disrupted Nik's wanted solitude. Attempting to scan the area for another seat if Nik wanted to be left on his own, Finley glances back over at the door, his eyes on the back of Annie's head, watching as she chats with the other girls. Wait, Finley realises, Nik is her brother. Wanting to ask the guy more about his sister, Finley decides to stay where he is for now. This could be useful.

Coyly turning back to face the son of Apollo, Finley fiddles with his fork, pushing the fruit around in his bowl. "So, uh," He continues, somehow nervous around his friend all of a sudden, "Annie's..Nice isn't she?" What the hell was he saying, Gods he must seem like a complete idiot to Nik now. Of course he thinks she's nice, he's her damn brother. "Do you think.." Finley begins but is unable to finish his sentence, he wanted to ask if she was interested in him, or whether it was just a drunken moment. Unfortunately Finley's nerves get the best of him and he can't continue, sheepishly looking up at Nik with a small smile. "Do you think I could borrow that book when you're done?" Finley finishes, completely shifting the conversation in an attempt to brush off his previous awkwardness.

Gwen stretched nearly falling off the side of her bed as she let out a small groan. Although she hadn't drank the night before she was still a bit tired from the party. She rolled to her side and checked her alarm clock, it was already eight. She frowned slightly, Finn must've gone for a swam without her. Granted, she was a bit grateful that he hadn't woke her she rather enjoyed the extra hour of sleep.

She eventually willed herself to move and shuffled to her closet picking out a rather cosy cable-knit sweater and slipped on her tan birks. She left the cabin walking down the gravelly path towards the hall where they always served food. She normally spent a couple hours in the morning swimming but her hunger was greater than her longing to swim.

When she entered the hall she saw a few familiar faces, Em, Nik, and her brother. His hair was slightly curled from his apparent morning swim, and he was talking to Nik. It was a strange sight, she hadn't seen her brother approach the shy but sweet boy before. She raised a slight eyebrow a little curious but nonetheless happy Finn was expanding his friend horizon. She waved at him and Nik as she passed, offering them both a lazy smile.

She made her way over to the breakfast that was in a buffet style. Her stomach rumbled quietly as the smell of cinnamon French toast and pancakes wafted her way. Gwen couldn't deny the fact that she had a bad sweet tooth, and filled her plate with pancakes and some grapes. She contemplated going to sit with her brother but he seemed pretty invested in his conversation with Nik so she steered towards Em's table instead. "Hey stranger"
Gwen said with a smile, plopping down in the seat opposite from Em popping a grape into her mouth. "Sorry about disappearing pretty fast last night , I got pretty tired and Finn was ready to head back".

Dom was up before the sun even had a chance to rise. He always got extra early in the morning, he enjoyed the part of sunrise where everything was just very quiet. Dom also found that the woods surrounding the camp had the perfect path for a jog. He took this time to jog around the campus, there was nothing he loved more than listening to the sound of the life around him wake up in the morning. As he jogged through the thick forest, the sun just barely peeking up from the horizon, the birds started to faintly chirp and he could practically hear the forest breathe itself awake.

After his short morning warm up, he took a quick (cold) shower, and threw on a collared shirt and some jeans. He thought to wake Raven, he contemplated the idea for a moment, it seemed like a nice gesture but he eventually was hesitant enough and decided against it. Before leaving the cabin however, he snatched the book off of his nightstand and took it with him on his way to the dining hall.

As he got closer he noticed Sloane and stopped for a moment a little lost in thought. She seemed different today, her clothes especially were a definite shift from last night but the look altogether seemed a lot more Sloane. He took a step to approach her but then he noticed Ani dash in her direction and begin to strike up a conversation. Of course, he thought to himself, I mean I only talked to her once, I can't just assume that we're the best of friends. He sheepishly took a step back and headed towards the hall again and was greeted with a few familiar faces. He made his way over to a table with an assortment of fruit and grabbed an apple before finding a secluded table in the corner and made himself comfortable. He took a bite out of the apple and flipped the page, investing himself into the book and drowned out the noises of the dining hall as he ate.

Matty nearly smashed his alarm clock when the damn thing started blaring at seven in the morning. He groaned shuffling around in his blankets for a bit before managing to roll himself out of bed, his head pounding with a killer headache. He rubbed his eyes, praying that they weren't too terribly puffy, and popped about six aspirins as he marched himself into the bathroom succumbing to a long and scalding hot shower. He pretty much moved subconsciously through his morning routine the motions ingrained into his mind. He settled on a rather neutral but classy outfit, throwing a pair of shades on top of his head as well.

He shuffled slowly through the cabin pausing at his sister's door to knock on it softly. He hoped she didn't have too bad of a hangover. "Sis, I'm going to get breakfast"
He paused mid-sentence to yawn, "you know where to find me".

He made his way across the grounds of the camp, a few of the others awakening around the same time as well. As he got closer the tempting smell of bacon and buttered toast made him quicken his pace as he entered the doors to the dining hall. His eyes immediately sprung to the man-candy that had captured his eyes last night, he was currently chatting with the Hades Kid. How odd. Matty could tell Sylas liked a widened playing field when it came to the other campers, he appreciated it.

He noticed he had caught the eye of some Demeter girl, who was making googly eyes at him from across the room. He gave her a winning smile as he sat down at a table and she immediately came over to him. "Goodmorning..." "June!" She chimed in her face flushing. "June... Such a lovely name" She giggled, and let out a shy 'thank you' as Matty leaned closer to her making direct eye contact. "Would you be a dear and go get a plate of breakfast for me? I just woke up this morning with the most awful headache and I would really appreciate it". Matty smiled as her eyes clouded over, almost as if they were covered with a sheet of silver. It was just for a moment, and if you weren't looking for it, you probably wouldn't have noticed. "Of course you poor thing! I'll get it right away!" It was so much easier to influence if they were willing. It didn't take the Demeter girl but a couple of minutes before she returned with a hot plate of breakfast setting it down in front of him. "You are a lifesaver, I owe you one" He said with a small wink and watched as she blushed even more and dashed away back to her friends. Matty bit into a piece of toast, leaning back into his chair a rather self satisfied smirk plastered across his face.

Kalani continues to munch on her half of the croissant as she waits for Sloane's reply. Taking back her extended hand once Sloane informs her that she's not hungry. Oh well, it was only more food for Kalani to appease her gurgling stomach with. She couldn't help but notice how put together the girl always looked, before glancing down at her half-pyjama outfit, she must look like a real state next to Sloane.

"Not really." Sloane says in reply to Kalani's question about the days training. Kalani couldn't help but nod as Sloane said that, in a 'me too' sort of way. Gods Kalani could not fight for the life of her so she had absolutely no plan for what she was going to do. "I can't fight." Why that surprised Kalani, she couldn't say. Sloane did have a build very similar to her own, in fact she was perhaps even more slight than Kalani. She'd just assumed that Sloane was one of those people who looked fragile but could beat you up no problem. She had that kind feel about her, but Kalani was clearly wrong.

Quickly swallowing her mouthful, Kalani sips her own coffee before responding. "I get that," Chewing on her bottom lip as she thinks about the day to come, Kalani can't help but feel nerves begin to rise in her stomach, "What's a child of Aphrodite supposed to do?" She laughs softly, before motioning to her muscles - or lack thereof - "Seems like we're in the same boat." Feeling as though this new common ground was a good sign, Kalani actually begins to believe that she's getting Sloane to warm up to her.

Then, Annie arrives. As happy as Kalani is to see her good friend, she was also very aware that Sloane barely spoke to one person at a time, let alone the two of them, and because of that she'd probably make up some excuse to disappear. Damn.

Oh well, Kalani thinks before looking up as Annie reaches them, a smile forming at her lips. "Morning, Ani!" Annie greets in her typically upbeat manner. The drastic differences between Annie and Sloane became rather striking as the daughter of Apollo sat herself down next to Kalani, completely at ease, her knee pressed against Kalani's. Sloane, however, still seemed almost rigid next to Kalani, seemingly only staying seated where she was so that she didn't sit in a puddle of coffee.

"Morning, Annie." Kalani giggles back, she loved that they shared the same name - or at least, Kalani's nickname was the same. It made their greetings fun, albeit rather confusing to an outsider. Looking from Annie to Sloane, Kalani wonders what to say to keep her from leaving. Eating Sloane's half of the croissant slowly, Kalani fiddles with her coffee mug before finally perking up again.

"We were just talking about today's training," She informs Annie, grazing her bottom lip with her tongue as she makes sure there are no crumbs left on it. "Neither of us are particularly looking forward to it," She sighs, looking to Sloane for agreement, "You know I'm a lover not a fighter." Kalani grins, Annie should definitely know that, especially after their kiss. Kalani had almost forgotten that had happened last night, too caught up in everything else that happened, how funny, she thinks to herself.

"We'll get through this, I promise. Everything will work out the way its supposed to, but before it gets better, sadly, we have to go through the worst. I'm here for you, and you don't have to bare any of the pain alone. You don't have to be strong in front of me. I'll be strong for the both of us."

Andy looked towards him as a silent tear rolled down her cheek. It wasn't necessarily what she wanted to hear, but the plain simple truth. She sniffled as Ajax took her hands and helped her to her feet. But he didn't release her hands, instead leaning in towards her. His lips brushed hers for a brief moment. Andy kissed him back tenderly, but she was thankful he didn't go for another. Regardless of how good it felt to get things off her chest, it was still raw and takes time.

Ajax remained closer to her, lips maybe an inch from hers as he spoke. "I will be the one to fix all of this."

Andy's brows furrowed as she slipped her hands from his. She didn't like the sounds of that. "What are you talking about? You can't reverse time and change the past, Ajax."

For some reason it sounded like Ajax was trying to fix more than her own problems. But what else could there be to fix? The past cannot be unwritten. Daniel is dead. Jennova is dead. Wes has no arm. And no matter how much Andy tries to forget, she was tortured in the Underworld. That's just how it was. None of it could be fixed. She studied his face, but whatever he was thinking, he was certain in it. Sometimes in all her love for him, she hated how everything seemed an ultimatum with him. The world wasn't ending, it was just the rough aftermath. There was nothing more to do besides manage.

Andy sighed, glancing down slightly. "Please, just don't do something stupid."

Trinity pretended to be offended when Wes realized that she came to him out of pure competition. She wasn't fooling him when she tried to look surprised, and quickly chuckled. β€œExcuse you, Mr. Smacktalk.” He smiled waiting for her to start the contest. β€œOn three. One." Her grip on his hand tighten as she prepared. Trin's game face was on. But, Wes couldn't help but just smile. "Two. Three."

Wes didn't hold back, but didn't put all his strength into it at the first moment. He wanted to gauge her own strength, and, of course, she was no weakling. A slight grin graced his lips as he then put his all into it. Her own grasp even wavered for a minute. Wes was glad he wasn't all talk. But, using a single arm for almost a year definitely would put some muscle into it.

He wondered if he should let her win. Trin seemed more like a deer in the headlights then intrigued by the idea of a date with him. After all, she didn't owe him anything. They shared a kiss... That was hardly binding. Sure, it made Wes realize all he wanted... All he'd ever want was her. But love isn't a one way street and he knew that. But, just as he thought about letting up, Wes felt a wave of energy.

Wes' smirk faded slightly as he stared at their hands. He was winning? He adjusted his grasp on her hand, and put forth another push. Then it happened... Trinity's hand fell back and hit the table. His eyes widened as he just stared as his hand continued to hold hers down against the table. When he finally looked up, he was even more surprised to see that she was smiling. He half expected her to get pissed and storm out of his cabin, demand a rematch or begrudgingly agree to the date. But she didn't. She just smiled. β€œWell, how about that?”

His grasp on her hand slowly lessened, but Wes didn't move his hand. Instead, just for a brief moment he let his thumb brush the top of her hand. "Yeah," he chuckled, smiling towards her. "Look at that." He didn't feel the need to gloat, nor did he want to.

β€œI hope you know what you're doing,” she whispered toward him.

"I do," he replied softly while holding her gaze. Wes knew her, if she wanted him to or not. And he liked what he knew. He just hoped that this date wouldn't disappoint. If she was miserable... He wouldn't stop her from leaving. All he wanted was her happiness, even if, in the end, that wasn't with him.

Wes let her hand slip from under his as she then crossed her arms. Almost like flipping a switch, the vulnerable side of Trinity closed up and the sarcastic side was back out. β€œSo are you walking with me to get some brekky or do I have to pretend I'm sane and sit with normal people?”

"What in the hell is a brekky?" Wes asked, then his brows furrowed as if he finally understood the weird slang. "Yeah, yeah. Just let me change real quick." He pushed off the table as he stood up, swinging his leg from over the chair and started toward his room. It didn't take him too terribly long to get into a pair of jeans, and put on some sneakers. He grabbed the first shirt he could find. Luckily it was already unbuttoned so half of the battle was over.

Wes walked out of his room, his left hand slowly and sometimes unsuccessfully trying to button his shirt. He could do it, it just took awhile. He would have Trinity here starving if they sat around waiting for him to finish fastening his shirt. So, he could afford to swallow his pride a bit since he won the arm wrestle. "Do you mind helping me?... I can do it, but you might be waiting for awhile." He laughed weakly as his thumb and index figure tugged at the buttons of his shirt.

Sloane cupped her hands around her coffee mug, sipping from it occasionally. From Kalani's nod, she could only assume the girl was about as thrilled for training as she was. After all, Ani was an Aphrodite kid. They aren't generally known to be fierce warriors or anything. Not that they could help it. Her brother Wes looked like he could kick ass, but Sloane knew better than that... She heard the stories.

"I get that," Ani replied. "What's a child of Aphrodite supposed to do?" She laughed, motioning to her small muscles. "Seems like we're in the same boat."

Sloane contemplated not replying, but she sighed, trying to be as social as someone like her could manage. "Wes has seen battle, hasn't he?" She glanced over at Kalani slightly. "He might have pointers." It was a dumb comment, but it was all that she could think of. Honestly, Sloane could put money on the fact that both of them would probably be some of the first people to get their asses handed to them.

"Or, at least tell you how to not lose an arm," Sloane added with a slight chuckle.

But, what little part of Sloane's shell had opened up, quickly snapped shut when another person joined them. "Morning, Ani!" She looked up seeing the other Annie coming straight for the two of them. Then she looked straight at Sloane. "Hello. Sloane, isn't it?"

"Yes," she replied curtly. Sloane was never a fan of those kinds of greetings. If someone wasn't sure about her name or if they had met previously but forgot, then they could simply introduce themselves again. It was more polite, and was easier than asking someone to verify who they were. She didn't say anything else, simply sipping from her coffee quietly.

"We were just talking about today's training. Neither of us are particularly looking forward to it." Kalani looked towards her briefly, and Sloane shared her glance for a moment. "You know I'm a lover not a fighter."

After what seemed like a polite enough time to sit around, Sloane finished what was left of her coffee. She then put her bag over her shoulder, and picked up her old mug in her other hand. She moved to her feet, and glanced over at Kalani. "Thanks again for the coffee... See you at training." Sloane nodded her head towards both of them, and then headed back to the main hall before they tried to stop her.

Sloane made her way inside, avoiding the campers that were there. She took the coffee mugs to the kitchen, setting them in the sink. She would have washed them but honestly had no idea where anything belonged, so hopefully that was good enough. As she exited the kitchen and headed toward the door, she noticed Dom sitting by himself. Sloane had half a mind to walk over him and take a seat, but then she saw that he was reading the book she lent him. She smiled slightly to herself. When their gazes met briefly, she raised to hand in a slight wave, then exited the main hall.

Mason laughed dryly at Sylas' comments. "I'm touched, but a few things, if I were to kill anybody on this camp or that even belonged to camp, I'd have a bounty on me. The whole anti-Hades mob would finally get an excuse to swarm. Second, thanks for your input and playing match maker but Andy's not my type and I'm not hers. She wants white knight, gallant hero, picture perfect. I want spunk, endurance, someone I can bring home to Hades."

Sylas remained quiet, picking at his food and listening to Mason. Of course, he was apprehensive of Sylas, who wouldn't be. Plus, it probably sounded like he was skirting around something or full of fake sympathies. Either way, Sylas wasn't the type to just throw in the towel that easily. Some people need a slow approach, and some, just need you to come out and say it. Black and white.

"And hey, if anyone decapitated Sloane when she was defenseless, I'd be on your side too, dude."

Sylas laughed weakly, grabbing his juice and drinking from it. Mason seemed like the type of person where Sylas didn't have to wear this false facade of an average person around. So, almost like flipping a switch, he leaned forward resting on his elbows. His entire expression changed from some who was trying to make a friend, to the cold asshole he was. If a Hades kid couldn't appreciate it, then who could?

"But doesn't Hecate live in the Underworld?" Sylas quirked a brow toward Mason, while resting his palms on the table. "Andy doesn't know what she wants. It's all a matter of... Simple persuasion. And well, if the Valises are out of the way?" He shrugged his shoulders slightly, allowing Mason to connect the dots how he saw fit. Of course he knew that if the Hades boy killed the beloved Ajax, that would hurt any chances he had with the left over baggage. But, there were always other paths to take.

"There are more ways than one to accomplish what you want." Sylas' voice was low but full of intent. No, Mason didn't have the ability to get people to do what he wanted. Working alone, of course he'd get his hands dirty. But, Sylas had no problem dirtying his hands... Or better yet, making others do his dirty business for him. "There can't be a bounty on your head if you're not the one doing the killing."

Sylas grabbed a grape, popping it in his mouth, allowing Mason a moment to think. "Let me put it plainly." He held Mason's gaze as he spoke his next words only loud enough for him to hear. "Do you want help with the Valises, or not?" he asked, sliding his bowl of fruit towards Mason almost like a peace offering.

D e s p i t eXXthe unnecessarily brusque nature of Sloane's response, Annie did not allow her sheepishness to show on her face, and instead responded kindly, noting that the two hadn't ever actually spoken to one another.
