Azriel

"Before the end, Heaven will bleed and Gods will weep."

0 · 379 views · located in Utoko

a character in “Chasing Rin Hayashi”, as played by Breeze

Description

Quote: "Destroyer. What a poor child, cursed by the so called higher powers to be the bringer of the End of Times. Cursed to live with the destruction of millions... But what if we turned this power against these so called higher powers? If we work together, even the gods will bleed."

Name: Azriel

Nickname: N/A

Gender: Male

Age: He appears to be in his late twenties, but he is well into his thousands as he was one of the original angels to come to the mortal world.

Height: 6'3

Weight: 193 lbs.

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Likes:
- Cats...
- The Destroyer. Although he has never met the person in question, the Destroyer represents the last and best chance for Azriels goal.
- Those rare times when he can recall his daughters face.
- Fire. It is apart of who he is, and it is the means to an end.

Dislikes:
- Other Angels who have forgotten their home.
- His own weakness. When compared to his once glorious self, his current self is a mockery.
- Dogs. He could never explain it, but he has never liked those slobbering vermin.
- Demonic beings. It is their fault! If it weren't for those ugly creatures locked within their souls, he would not be forced to be in this wretched mortal world.

Group: Neither at the moment.

Partner: N/A

Race: Angel

Magic:

1. Divine Light: A simple healing spell, but it can only be used on the more light-aligned races (Not demonic or vampire.)

2. Flame of Azriel: Azriels sword erupts in flames, while the spell is active it continually drains away at his power meaning he can only use it for short periods at a time. When he slashes, great waves of fire leap from the blade, sadly, due to Angelic nature, the fire does nothing to other Angels or Elves, but it is deadly to all other races.

3. Wrath: Azriel can fling fireballs and other fire based spells from his hand. It is the most common spell he uses as it is not nearly as power draining as his other spells.

4. Wrath and Ruin (Can only be used in Archangel Form): A large pillar of fire descends from the sky to strike the ground burning everything under it to cinders. This spell has two major drawbacks: It requires a vast amount of energy and when coupled with the already high drain from the Archangel form it causes Azriel to pass into unconscious after usage, secondly, it is a rather large spell that, normally, people can see coming, so as long as there is nothing to stop them, most opponents can move out of the way. This spell is generally meant to be used against a large number of enemy that do not have the mobility to dodge.

5. Imbue power: Azriel can grant another being large amounts of his own power through touch.

6. Archangel: A spell that allows Azriel to reattain his true Angelic body. His strength, magical power, speed, and endurance all dramatically increase but at a heavy price. Every time he uses it he loses another piece of his memory of before he went down to the mortal world. He can only maintain this form for a few minutes before becoming exhausted and completely drained.

Weakness(es)
- Azriel is almost useless against Elves and other Angels.

- Azriel is terrified of forgetting who he is, so is hesitant to give his all in any fight.

- All Archangels have command words that forces them to their knees and drains their power, Azriel's is "Proventus tui Rabies" Although, it is highly unlikely for any to know that command as the other angels remember nothing, and the command words were not widely known as it were.

- The Night.

Equipment - Besides his deep blood red clothing, Azriel carries only a long sword with Angelic ruins covering the blade.

Picture:Image

Personal Description: Azriel has long fiery read hair that falls in waves over his shoulder, his skin is light and fair unmarked by scars, imperfections, or unwanted hairs. His eyes are a deep blood red and gazing at them is like gazing into the heart of a ruby. His body is long and thing almost frail looking. His chin is sharp and strong framed by high cheek bones. Azriels nose is thin and sharp with a slight bend at the very tip. His eyebrows are thin and arch in the middle. He wears loose red clothing that makes him rather easy to pick out in a crowd. Unlike most angels, Azriel has four gray wings, and when archangel form, his wings increase to six.

Personality: Azriel is a desperate angel barely hidden under his calm facade. He needs the Destroyer. He needs her as much as he needs to breath, and is willing to do whatever it takes to enlist her aid. Azriel does not care how many people he has to step on, who he has to trick, who he has to lie to, who he has to kill... as long as he gets another step closer to his daughter he is willing to do anything. Azriel still considers himself to be an Archangel... and years of displaced anger has lead to him looking down on all the other races. They are mere children playing in mud compared to himself which makes him extremely egotistical.

History:

Before the Fall

Azriel was once an Archangel, one of the seven chosen ones. Azriel had always served loyally as the Archangel of Destruction, the bearer of the Flaming Sword. His will was the will of the gods, his wrath was their wrath, but it was merely his duty... like many older angels, Azriel had a small family as Angels breed slowly compared to other races. His wife and love was Isda an angel from a lower class, but she was ravishing even when compared to other angels what did class matter in the face of love?.. sadly, when Azriel closes his eyes, he can no longer see her face, and his daughter Astrid, who made his chest fill with pride, she was as strong as he, and would grow to be as beautiful as her mother. She, who even though young, was being groomed to be the 8th Archangel. Azriel felt deep down in his heart that Astrid would shake the heaven themselves someday, but duty tends to get in the way as the mortals were losing and the angels.. for the first time in thousands of years were called to war.

As he held his daughter before the Golden Gates, he made one promise, "I will return." and with that, Azriel and Isda left for the mortal realm.

The War of Angels and Demons

The war was... quick and brutal. The sudden appearance of the angels caught the demons off-guard and gave hope to the races already in the fight... but it was not with casualties. Isda being one of those... (I do not like explaining big moments in a characters history in bios. I prefer talking about it IC.) As an Archangel he was one of the commanders of the war leading his brothers and sisters to arms and victory, but Azriel was one of the first to notice his power diminishing. The other angels just brushed off his concern as battle fatigue, but every day it was harder to draw out his power, everyday he went to sleep just a little bit more exhausted... And once the war was over the truth was finally revealed. The time spent on the mortal plane had sapped away their own divinity turning them into little more then mortals a mockery of their former selves and worst yet; Many of the angels could not ever remember their past... The angels were stuck on this wretched mortal world and were losing their memory... Azriel was stuck on this planet away from the only person he had left: Astrid... and someday, he would forget her.

Life among Mortals

Perhaps it is due to his once status of Archangel that his memory has been slipping away at a much slower pace then that of the other angels. Unlike them, Azriel could still remember his name, the place of which he once called home, the war, everything save for a few minor details: The name of his parents, his wife's face... his daughters voice. Slowly those few precious memories were slipping away, but Azriel will not allow it. It disgust him how easily the other angels shrug off their past put it behind them fully embracing the newer world. Did they not care that they most likely had family and friends still waiting for them? No... If they did not remember they did not care. Azriel had spent every day since the war ended looking for a way back home. Back to his daughter, but every attempt ended in failure then he heard of the rumors. The Destroyer had been spotted.

The 'Higher Powers' once sent them down to earth to stop its destruction... so why wait just a few short human lifetimes before sending the Destroyer.. unless they did not send the Destroyer thus a plan began to form. If he could harness the Destroyers power, he could wage a war against the gods themselves. Force them to their knees and force them to give back his Astrid... but for that he needs the Destroyer, and anyone who gets in his way is disposable.

Azriel stared at the flickering candle at the side table dancing as each gently gust came in from the darkness threatening to consume the small flame, yet despite the crushing darkness and small torrents of wind. The flame endured. He was sitting in the upper room of a small tavern in the equally small city of Utoko. The stench of many mud monkeys living together in such close quarters always threatened to overwhelm his senses. This disgusting place was supposed to be the birth place of the Destroyer. It had not been long since she had been discovered but news travels fast especially when it concerns the End of Time. Mortals were always only too happy to dwell on their own misery.

A soft meow took his attention from the dancing flame as he glanced at the large tabby cat standing on the window ledge. Extending one slender hand, Azriel smiled softly, the smile lighting up the only moments before grim face, "Come." Nimbly the cat jumped from the ledge and landed with a soft plop on the floor and jumped onto the bed to sit next to Azriel.

Gently he stroked the cats head thinking of the events that had transpired just mere hours ago. How desperately he had flown to this little waste of a city looking for the Destroyer... only to find she had left already.

A few hours ago - Utoko backstreets

The pulse under his hand quickened as the heart and lungs struggled to get more air, but Azriels hand only tightened on the young man who only moments before had been boasting to his friends about how he had once 'gotten lucky' with the Destroyer. Azriel had the faint impression the little mud monkey was lying to impress his friends, but that did not matter. It had been moderately amusing watching the boy try to stand up to him to further inflate his position in that small little monkey group.

It had been equally amusing to see the look on the boys face when Azriel had grabbed the boy by the throat and lifted him off the ground... his 'friends' fleeing and screaming down the street... "The Destroyer." Azriel said his four great wings tucked tightly to his back, "Where is it?"

The boy struggled kicking his feet, but did manage to gasp "I-I don't know... please don't hurt me."

"What is its name? Where can I find it?" Azriel commanded once more, his grip tightening on the tender flesh underneath, and once more the boy gasped, "Hayashi... Rin Hayashi... please I don't know.."

"Rin... Hayashi." Azriel said softly before his hand tightened once more, and the street was filled with the sickening sound of bone snapping. The boys legs kicked out once... twice... then he went limp as Azriel let him fall to the floor. Finally, he had a name. Rin Hayashi. He felt like he could say it a million times and never would it get old.

Present time - Tavern Room

The soft sounds of a cat purring filled the room, but still Azriel could not help but want to hear that name once again. "Rin. Hayashi... Finally it is time."

Azriel's eyes snapped open as someone pounding on the room door, slowly the former Archangel sat up his four wings striking out to help him maintain balance. "Yes." Azriel said simply as he stood and started to dress once more. The lack of light coming through the window told him it was still night time.. it seemed someone did not wish him to get rest. The silence on the other door was... not a very good sign. Did a demonic being wish to take out vengeance? He had faced many of those before, and if it was that there was no threat, but what if the the Higher Powers had learned of his plan and sent one of the other beings to destroy him? Unlikely. To kill him they would most likely send another Archangel, and he highly doubted a fully-powered Archangel would knock on his door. Uriel would have fried the door with lightning, Gabriel with light, and Michael would have crushed through the roof sword drawn. Yes, his brothers were never subtle, but then again, until recently, he had not been very subtle either.

Just as Azriel slipped on the scabbard to his plan, the door shattered as armored men rushed forth, their chainmail clinking with every move. Azriel stood watching them amused, from their repugnant smell he knew all were human.. One of the taller men who smelt of alcohol and dried pine needles stepped forward his hand on the hilt of his blade, "Angel, you are wanted for murder, do not resist, or we will be forced to kill you." Two men stood to his side. Obviously, this man was their leader.

It took Azriel a few minutes to remember just who was it he had killed, and then as if a light popped on in his head, he smiled, "Aw the whelp. Tell me, sergeant." The angel said walking slowly to the window, and from behind him he heard the soldiers draw their blades, apparently he made them feel a little jumpy. "Do you arrest people for stepping on insects?" Azriel said stretching out his wings.

"Is that what he was to you?" The sergeant demanded taking a foot forward, "Just an insect?"

"No." Azriel said placing a hand on the window, "You are the insects." With that, Azriel turned and rushed the sergeant who managed to swing his blade, but Azriel slide under the blade and brought his hand up grasping the sergeant by the throat. His hand started to glow orange as the smell of burning flesh filled the room... and the screams of the sergeant pierced the night.. The other men stood petrified only snapping back to reality when Azriel dropped the charred dead man to the floor. Some stepped forward, while a few edged towards the door obviously intent on running, "Disgusting little insects." Azriel said... and once more screams pierced the night.

A Few Moments Later

"P-please don't kill me." The last city watchman begged as Azriel held his companions corpse, "I-I have a daughter... please." Azriel let the body hit the ground as he turned to examine the survivor, his arm was badly burned... and the inn had started to catch on fire due to the amount of heat that had built up due to Azriels.. specialty. The mans eyes widened with fear as Azriel leaned down once more stretching out his hand to the man, but instead of a orange, red, or blue glow, it was a blinding white...

Azriel stepped over the now healed man, "I suggest you leave this place before it becomes cinders." Azriel said softly, "And be sure to tell your daughter just how much you love her when you go home." Letting his left hand rest on the wood wall, "Farewell, City Watchman." As Azriel walked the wall he touched erupted in flames... This building now held corpses that needed to be disposed of. At least it would keep the watch off his back while he continued his search.. but the night was so very young, and there was an.. interesting smell waiting somewhere in the city.

Zero looked as the woman left in a fluster 'Strange, did she notice?' He thought and snapped back at the man, "Er, I am wanderer, I heard that Chikyuu no Mirai have bounty's and missions for men who are up to the job." Zero said.

Setsugie was walking normally until he heard the screams, he looked around and saw smoke from a nearby building he quickly moved to a nearby bench and set Dimitri down, "Tiger, I'll be back in a moment watch him for the time being." Setsugie said at Willow, "Belldandy come with me your expertise will be needed." Setsugie said and ran to the building, before Belldandy dissipated into the blade. Upon getting to the building the people where already evacuating, Setsugie dove inside the smell of burnt flesh was all over the building "People have already perished." Setsugie mumbled. Setsugie helped the people get out of the building safely as best as he could, the smoke was getting intense as he heat and flames that plagued the building. Setsugie was about to leave until he saw him, a man with red hair and four gray wings 'An Angel?' Setsugie thought, "Hey!" he called out to the man, "Come with me to get out of this place!" he added as more flames started to erupt from the building. Though something seamed wrong about the man but Setsugie disregards this feeling for at the time it did not matter.

Rin's head bobbed up and she held her head tightly. The smell of burning bodies. It brought too many horrible memories to mind. As if she was in the past, her mind immediately went to her friend as she jumped up.
"Akira!" She yelled as she started to run to the fire. Her mind was stuck reliving an old memory. For some reason, she didn't snap back. The smell reminded her way too much of what happened for her to remember her friend was long gone. It was a fire about two years ago. She still rushed ahead to find the burning house. She didn't even notice Setsugie or the other guy. Her eyes were fixed on the fire, wide with horror. It seemed too much like it to come to her senses.

An angel? It was a strange aura... one familiar yet, not so much... but if felt deluded as if covered up by something, or someone. Pausing, he caught the sight of a human, but that in itself was strange. Why did he sense the presence of an Angel? It mattered not, a human was just a human at the end of the day. Why did he charge into a burning building? To save the lives of other fleeting humans? Such strange creatures. "Very well, lead the way." Azriel said waving the human to take lead. Why not humor him? There was really no reason not to, and he was indeed planning on leaving this place. The smell of burning flesh was not appetizing when considering the source of the flesh.

"Well, this has been nice." Azriel said as the man continued to stare at him despite asking him to move on, and Azriel was not intent on staying in the inn till it collapsed. It was night out, and he was already in a weakened condition, a house falling on him might be a bit more then his body could handle at the moment. The four winged angel walked and passed the human ensuring that he did not touch the man and get his stench on him. While his aura felt more akin to an angels, the man still smelt like a human.. Forsaken mud monkeys.

Stepping out of the smoke and flames, he was greeted by a rather large crowd. So much like insects, attracted by the light of the fire buzzing around getting in each others way, it was almost pitiable, almost. In the open, Azriel let his four gray wings snap open and flap once or twice, stretching them now that they were free from the tight confines of the hallway. Unfortunately, the four wings kicked up quite a bit of air, the flames on the inn erupted fueled by the massive air wave, and engulfing most of the inn, and stripes of fire came out to lick the nearby buildings. Of course, he could reabsorb the flames as they were his flames, but in his weakened condition consuming so many flames would be... straining, and there was no reason to strain himself over this mud monkey city. Also, there was undoubtedly a few people with the foolish hero mentality who would attempt to fight him assuming, and rightly so, that it was he who lit the inn on fire.

"My apologies." Azriel said simply to the nearby people. He did not mean it, but it would make them feel at ease... well, as at ease as they could be when they saw their city starting to take up in flames. Of course, they would most likely get it under control sooner or later, but more then a few buildings and homes would go up in flames. He paused to attempt to look around the crowd, and saw little of interest...

Few people whispering amongst themselves, others staring and pointing at the fire, their mouths hanging open like simpletons. Some men carrying buckets of water, a foolish gesture. Instead of trying to put out the flames in the inn, they should wet the nearby buildings and simply cut their losses at just the inn.

Then there was them. A vampire, a demonic being, and a... well, now that was interesting. He dismissed both the vampire and demonic being as unimportant as their kind normally was, however, the human felt different. Much like the man from before.. containing an aura and power far beyond their normal mortal limitations. Azriel decided he would have to watch this woman... from a distance until he learned more.. the man was a man thus unimportant. Slowly, he pushed his way through the crowd until he entered ear shot then made a point to 'calm' a nearby woman down in order to make it look like he was indeed not paying attention to what it is those three were doing.

Setsugie was about to leave the building but he man got ahead of him, Setsugie only shrugged, 'He seams familiar.' Belldandy said within Setsugie's mind Setsugie only nodded in response, then an explosion occurred the flames have gotten to the flammables liquids and gasses inside the building. Setsugie jumped out of the second story story window falling to the floor he did a tumble to prevent any damage to his legs, then got up. Looking as the man flexed his wing and kicked up the air fueling the flames and sending them to nearby buildings, Setsugie had to act before the city got burned down he unsheathed his white katana and placed the tip on the ground he then moved in the circular motion and kicked up a large amount of dust and dirt to calm down the flames on the buildings before it became an inferno. Then looked straight at red haired man "Are you trying to burn down the town?!" he said slightly displeased.

Zero slightly chuckled, "I'm quite capable." he said while he thought "I think he's suspicious of me, getting reported to the Chikyuu no Mirai would be a pain should I kill him know?.' then smelled the smoke and looked over at the direction in which it came. "A fire?" Zero mumbled. "Well do you where I can find Chikyuu no Mirai base? Or do I need to ask someone else?" Zero said getting slightly impatient.

"Burn down the town?"Azriel repeated stepping back from the random woman he had been talking to just moments before, He thought it over, but it was indeed not his intent, "I applaud your rhyming ability." Azriel said, "But no. It is the night, and my power is already low, to burn this town would take a considerable effort in my current condition, that." He said motioning to the flames that had kicked up due to his wing flap, "Was merely accident." He lightly tapped his finger on his chin as if in deep thought, "Although, if you have time to yell at me, I would suggest helping these people. Isn't that your intent?"

Before he could continue power flared... Turning his head slowly to find the source... his suspicion was confirmed. Something was odd about this girl, and not just the way she was struggling. Once more he pushed through the crowd and made his way to the strange girl.. and once there, he held up his hand to the vampire and demonic being, "I mean no harm." He said simply so that they would not get overeager and try to stop him. Examining the girl, he noticed her eyes were unresponsive, but still she was yelling and struggling as if lost in some other memory.

"I know of two ways to fix this." Azriel said easily, "You can hit her thus using pain to awaken her, or it could knock her out thus resetting her mind..." He said listing off the first method, "Or I could attempt to awaken her without the need for violence." That and striking a woman was never a good way to make a good first impression, "I could introduce my own power into her system which would destabilize her power." He said, and then he realized they might not know what that would mean, "It would feel much like when you miss a step on a stairs... that sudden lurch in your stomach, only a little more intense. It is harmless, of course, but it could shock her awake. Should it fail, you could always go back to method one."

Florence gritted her teeth feeling cuts surface on her body letting numerous profanities escape from her mouth in mumbles. Most other times she would have let go and just let the girl kill herself in the flames but it seemed most likely Chikyuu no Mirai wanted her alive. She didn't have a chance to answer to answer Len either as she just tightened her grip with little luck, "I am so gonna pay this girl back later."

Releasing the tattoos on her back and arms they morphed into a liquid before turning into a rope like material slithering along her arms and rapping around Rin immobilizing the female, though whatever power she had been blasting out didn't dissipate at all. With that Florence quickly released her and stepped back to lessen the damage she was taking with the black ink like material still attached to her skin underneath her cloak. Florence had half heatedly listened to the winged man when she had did these actions being slightly to preoccupied. "Hit her in the head?" She pulled out her sword holding it so she could crack Rin the head with the hilt if necessary before wiping some blood out of her vision that had dripped down from a large cut over her eyebrow. Looking the new stranger up and down not and feeling a menacing aura from him she raised an eyebrow, "Well I wanted a little revenge for all these cuts but if I stops her go right ahead." Florence nodded, "I'm ready to knock her out if I have too."

"And I hope this accident doesn't happen again." Setsugie said sheathing his blade, people have been hurt though the flames of the building where starting to calm down due to the efforts of the towns people. Setsugie also helped be it buckets of water or magic he helped trying to put out the flames, most of he building was set a blaze mostly the top, the lower levels where put out.

Zero smirked "Alright." Zero said and turned away from the man and disappeared, "Pocket dimensions are so useful." he mumbled appearing on top of a building close to the burning one so he could watch the others. Zero sat looking the Chikyuu no Mirai members, "I see." he says as he kept watching them.

With the smell of the fire plaguing his nose, Raze started towards the location at near blinding speeds. He wasn't running, as fires tend to be serious and he wasn't going to waste any time at all getting there. No, he flash stepped. What this power happened to be was basically short distance instaneous teleportation. He could instantly appear a short distance from where he was, and since he was doing it rapidly, he would be to the town in less than half the time it'd take if he had run.

This ability is one he just learned from his recent trip that was caused by the letter he recieved, and he hadn't shown it to anybody yet. Well, they'd see it soon enough because odds are that at least some of his fellow Chikyuu No Mirai members were there helping out the place that was burning. He hoped none of them were hurt....

Within minutes, he was at the location. "Len?" he said, noticing him, Rin, and a few others with whom he was not familiar. "What is going on here? What's with Rin?" he questioned, his eyes scanning the others.

Azriel nodded at the confirmation, although it amused him how eager this demonic woman was at doing another bodily harm. It was so like her race, but still it amused him none the less. He started to reach for her when yet another person arrived, but he was of little importance just another human, it was what he said that brought his attention. Rin. "Rin... Hayashi." Azriel whispered. It could not be, to find the woman so fast, and in such a condition... He would hazard a guess that she did not know how to control her power which is what made this all so much more dangerous. A sudden burst of power from the girl only confirmed his suspicion.. It could get ugly fast if he made a mistake here.

The Destroyer was a being of power and so this tactic should work even more, however, there was now a catch. Give too little power, and nothing would happen, but if he gave too much... She could instinctively discharge all her power in one great explosion destroying not only the city and the nearby lands, but perhaps ever herself. He could not allow her to die here, she was far too precious for that... still, a normal human carried the burden of Destroyer? It was... pitiable, and for once, he felt bad for a human. She was a mere child... a cursed child. She meant everything to him, yet she did not even know his name.. "It will be ok." Azriel said, not only to Rin, who would most likely not hear him, but to the others to prevent panic. Once more he stretched out his hand, but instead of a white light, it was a warm golden light one filled with Azriels hope...

Placing his hand on the center of her chest, above her heart, he began to channel his own power into the girl. The golden light entered Rins body and spread to her limbs, and with every moment that passed, Azriel felt his power waning. Even in daylight, he was merely at one/tenth of his original power... even when he forced himself to reattain his Archangel form he was merely half the strength of his past self... but at night, he was barely a shell. "Awaken. Rin Hayashi."

Rin froze for a second as she finally noticed what was happening around her, what she was doing, and that she was freaking out about something in her past. She sat up slowly as she noticed some eyes on her. Two people she did not know were also there. She felt a stab of pain when she saw that her freak out lashed out at the girl who she didn't know. She also saw Raze and Len. Why were they there?
"....I'm..... Sorry..." She said quietly, becoming aware of what exactly happened. She knew words wouldn't be able to amount to how sorry she felt. Sorry that they had to see her in that state and sorry that she even did that.
"Thank you... Both of you..." She said to both of the unknown people. She was even thankful for Len and Raze even though they only watched. She took a couple of breaths as she allowed her walls to go back up. She knew she already showed her weak side but she wouldn't show it any longer. She stood up and brushed herself off. She felt really weak from healing Raze and using that much power but she would use her last bit of strength to keep in hidden.

"Are you..okay.....?" Len said with a very concerned face. He was seriosly worried for Rin, she just went delusional after all. Len wasnt usually one to be concerned about others but Rin just did things that made him worry more than he usually did. She was always getting herself into trouble and had lost control on one occasion. Things like that made him worry. Its not like he only worried about Rin though, he actually worried about the other chikyuu no mirai members too. He could just hide it better from them.

Len could tell that Rin was feeling weak.
"Well c'mon, lets get you back to the base before any more weird things happen" He sighed as he picked her up and started walking towards the base, practically ignoring the rest of the people around him. The base was a much safer place for every one to be so he decided to head back there immediately. He knew Rin wouldnt like him carrying her but he wasnt in the mood to care much about that, and its not like she had the energy to walk there herself.

Rin gave a sigh as she gave up. She really didn't like being carried by him but she'd have to be okay with it.
"....Sorry...." She muttered as she looked away. She still really didn't like being carried but she'd contain her anger for now.
"W-Wait! I didn't introduce myself to those two people!" She yelled as she tried to get out of his hold. She wasn't going to be rude to the one who saved her.

Azriel raised his hand to tell Rin that there was no need to thank him, but before he could she was picked up by the vampire. A few things passed through his head, although his face showed none of them. His first instinct was to kill the vampire for dare touching the one he had been waiting so long for with his dirty hands, but he understood that they were 'friends' or at least something along those lines, so killing him would gain him no favors with Rin that, and at the moment, he was in no shape to be fighting. His second thought was extreme annoyance. She was grateful to him for saving her using that he could have opened up conversation with her and learned more about her. He needed to get closer to her before asking her for her aid... Asking for her aid... asking for anything would be a change.

"Charming fellow." Azriel said, before glancing at the human who had simply stood as Rin was having her... episode. "Is he always that charming? Or did I catch him on a nice day?" Azriel said with a bemused smile. Of course, the smile was merely to continue a conversation for the sake of gaining more knowledge, but when you had lived as many lifetimes as Azriel, you no longer knew when you were acting... or when it was truly you.

His eyes slid to the one who held Rin, the cuts were not life threatening, but he doubted they were comfortable, she was a demonic being, but she had aided the Destroyer in her own way. She could be a source of information, "I am sorry." Azriel said to her, "That I cannot heal you, but I am afraid, my healing abilities do not work on people with your... unique traits." He said attempting to be polite, before lowering his head a fraction of an inch. Normally, someone would bow before introducing themselves, but information or not, he would not bow to insects, "I am..." He said pausing to gather his thoughts, "Xavier."

Florence visibly relaxed when the girl she now knew as Rin calmed down and let her tattoos reform on her back as she growled, "So giving a pounding later." Catching herself, she snapped at the demonic part of her mind once again feeling the effects of her remedy beginning to lose it's intensity. Most times the red head could go about six hours without feeling much thirst to go and smash someone on the head while on her remedy but at the moment she was not in a good mood. After a few deep breaths Florence was beginning to peacefully go back to her non-vengeful self while listening to the winged man speak letting the fact sip her minf that she had yet to say hello to Raze.

She was definitely curious about the man, though also a little apprehensive as she was now almost certain he was an angel. There was quite a lot of evidence: wings, healing powers, and the angelic vibe that made Florence want to punch him in the face... but that would blow her cover to the towns people around her so she refrained from doing so.

The red head tensed slightly hearing him figure what she was and she gave him a spearing glare before letting it soften while she took a few steps closer to the man getting in his face but barely because she just came up to his shoulders. There was tension, but Florence didn't have much of a sense of personal space whatsoever so being this close to him was average in her mind, "Xavier, that's a neat name and it's very... interesting to meet you." With that comment she back away a small step looking up at his face, "But, I would appreciate if you kept my unique traits a secret. I'm not here to rampage this town, or any town in fact. I'd prefer to live and watch other people's normal misfortune than cause the misfortune and get myself murdered." Turning around she took a few more steps away from the Xavier before sliding her pack off one of her shoulders so she could reach around with her other hand and rummage through the bag. A second later her fingers clasped around a small tin can snatching it out so she could open it. Inside was a foreign substance to most people as Florence did have a tendency to go through swamps picking what seemed to be poisonous weeds and experimenting with them to see if she could make it useful. The red head dabbed her finger in the tan colored paste while readjusting her pack and began spreading it on her wounds stopping the bleeding. All her injuries would take time to heal but she was not going to just sit there and bleed.

"Oh, Yes sorry for not saying this earlier but I'm Florence," She smirked slightly while reaching behind her back and dropping the tin back in her pack.

The vampire/human hybrid sighed. Whatever happened seemed to be alright now. Len and Rin were arguing like usual, so they both seemed to be fine. Inhaling rather deeply, his blue eyes rested upon the man and woman before him. The man, who had introduced himself as 'Xavier' seemed to be a passive prick, in Raze's eyes. It didn't take much effort on Raze's end to figure that the angel before him didn't have a friendly disposition towards vampires. He'd have to thank Rin for that, as this man shared the same eyes as she did when they first met.

In the hopes that the angel didn't have a way to figure out that he himself was part vampire, Raze spoke up. "Well, that was...." he coughed. "...I wasn't told what happened, as you can tell. Could you fill me in?" he asked, keeping his gaze away from the girl and directly locked onto the angel.

A demonic being embarrassed and ashamed over their own nature? Azriel was sure there was probably more like her, shunned by their family and neighbors and thus their childish minds assumed it must be something wrong with themselves. It did not truly matter. Azriel had to look... down in order to face the smaller woman as she stepped closer to him. Well, she was a lot better then the angels of love. They had a tendency to hug everyone they met no matter who it was... No body liked it. He much preferred this increase in tension and close space then having a strange happy go-lucky angel hanging all over you.

Azriel tilted his head in her direction, a motion of acknowledgement, "Then I shall keep that secret." Well, he had no reason to spread it as it really did not matter to him. He did not like demonic beings, but he did not go out of his way for them. They were not worth his time. "Misfortune, perhaps you should try something a bit lighter. Might sit well better." He said with a tilted head, "Although, I have noticed that you humans seem to enjoy dwelling in misery, what was the phrase?" He said pondering it, "Aw yes, Misery loves company... strange that you all find solace in each others sorrow." Of course, he had said this all for a point. He had a made a point to refer to her as a human implying that, supposedly, he did not see her as a destruction bent demon...

"Nice to meet you as well, Florence." Azriel said, before turning to the human who asked him a rather pointless question. How did the fire start? Well, he started it, but it mattered little to him. Why a human would want to know a fact that did not concern himself escaped Azriel, "Apparently that inn caught on fire." Azriel said plainly, "Perhaps someone lit the fire on purpose, perhaps a child dropped a candle... in the end, I do not have the faintest clue, nor do I see why it matters." He said, and held up his hand to stop the most likely retort by the human, "And I do not wish to know why it matters to you or why it should matter to me. I am sure you have your reasons, and I am sure they are good reasons."

Razeluxe obviously went to open his mouth to voice his response to that, but Xavier's hand stopped him. Of course, this only furthered Raze's negative opinion about the angel. Normally, angels were supposed to be nice, and happy. This guy didn't seem like either, and quite frankly just pissed Raze off in the way that he talked and how he reacted to things.

However, maybe it was just Raze's bloodlust being apparent. God did he just need something to sink his teeth into and drain all of the crimson liquid that filled its veins. But, he had to resist this urge. It just... it wouldn't be too much longer before he couldn't prevent himself. Unfortunately, he had no food.

Sporting a false smile, he spoke. "Well, thank you for your cooperation," he said, his eyes catching that woman before cautiously going back to the man. "Well, I must really be going then..." he turned to leave.

The smell was getting stronger with everyone. Especially Rin! Those few seconds near her just then were torture, and he had half a mind to relieve her of some of that nectar. His palms tightened and he closed his eyes shut as hard as he could. Regretfully, he couldn't just shut out the lust, nor could he just relieve it. He also noticed that his body temperature had increased and that his own blood pressure had also did so, as well as he was now sweating lightly. Shit, he looked sick if someone payed close attention. All of this just spontaneously happened too. These unwilling wants were the hardest to resist. They came randomly, and for no apparent reason except to smack the young man in the face and tell him that he needed to steal the life force from some unsuspecting or unwilling person, and use it to keep him going.

His jaw closed shut tightly.
