Setting
Sakura felt the air currents rushing through her hair, almost like a brush. She laughed and tightened her grip on Mrala's homemade saddle before she felt her stomach drop before they came to an abrupt stop and flew downwards, heading right for the center of Empre. Mrala pulled her wings closer to her body as they began to reach a dangerous speed. If they kept going and weren't able to pull up in time, they'd crash into the buildings below. Behind them, Sakura could hear a dragons scream, causing her look back. The green dragon they'd been competing with was screaming like a cowering dog, just as it let loose it's wings and began to fly away, afraid of the speed and danger of their "little" competition. Sakura smiled before her attention returned to the adrenaline and feel of falling before... She could see the small forms of people now... She could almost see the details on their clothing.
Mrala let out a defiant roar that was her version of a laugh before she let go of her tight formation and her wings caught enough air to instead make a curve and they were flying very close to the buildings below. Sakura lifted a fist and smiled, giddy with the feel of winning. "Yes!" She couldn't help but lean down and hug the massive neck of Mrala. "We won... Let's go get our money." Mrala growled in approval as she banked to the left and began to beat the air with her wings to make it to the edge of the city. They set down in a small yellow field that had once been a cornfield. The green dragon and his rider were already there, waiting with a group of other dragons and riders.
Mrala snapped her teeth at the green dragon they had competed with, Sage was his name and his rider was Garren. Sage bared his teeth back but his eyes didn't have the fury bravado it had held before he lost. Sakura jumped off Mrala's back and held out her hand, "I believe you lost the bet, and I won. My money?" Garren muttered something under his breath before handing over a sack of coins. Enough to buy some lambs? Mrala asked as she shuffled foward, careful to not jostle any riders. She stuck her massive face forward and sniffed the bag of coins.
Sakura grinned at Garren before turning to jump onto Mrala's back again then she spoke to Mrala. "Enough to buy a cow." Mrala roared her approval as she launched herself into the air, heading for the far side of the city. Her blue scales and feathers sparkling like unnatural diamonds, yet if someone got a closer look they would see scars, and if it rained, they'd see the blue ink fall from Mrala's hide. To uncover the true dark color of the scales and feathers. If the blue ink fell, they'd see Mrala for what she really was. A black dragon.
He watched a blue dragon and a green dragon race, which was odd since blue and green dragons usually got along. He kept to the sky as he watched them, easily seeing the victor to be the blue. However, he had never seen this dragon before. It was larger then the average blue dragon and had some feathers. Tis seemed to be on edge as well as he watched this new commer fly away from the green dragon's owner.
"Follow at a distance, Tis. I want to make sure they are not here to cause trouble."
"Why not ask Teric to join you? He is a much better fighter then I," Tis let his words echo in my head.
"Let us hope that no fighting will be nessesary. Teric is currently preocupied."
Sammy and Tis continued to follow at a distance, careful to remain hidden by clouds that so easily reflected off his scales making him almost dissapear.
"Home Tis."
The two spiraled back towards the Master Suite, in hopes of finding Teric.
