GENERAL APPEARANCE
Apolline is the very definition of prima ballerina figure. She is within height and weight standards for most ballet companies, and has a buildup of muscle thanks to years of training. She isn't very curvaceous, but her good looks make up for it. Apolline has been described as everything from cute to sexy. Her eyes are an auburn colour, with different lighting changing what her eye colour could be seen as. Her mouth is small and plump, with rosy lips and a sweet smile. Apolline's hair is long and a dark raven colour. She keeps it loose most of the time, but puts it in a ridiculously tight bun when she's dancing. Apolline has a habit of playing with her hair when it's down. Apolline's skin is lily white and soft, from the fact she has done little hard labour in her life time.

Typically, Apolline tries to dress smart and professionally. She wears expensive clothing, and is clean and well groomed. She prefers to wear loose, light clothing, and wouldn't be caught dead in any thick or heavy clothing. She likes floral prints, and manages to keep a kind of "modern day fairy" look. She wears minimal makeup, and only wears what she needs to. Overall, she dresses for comfort and general smart appearance.

"It's strange how one little change can make a difference."

PERSONALITY
      ✦ RESERVED ✧ GENEROUS ✦ HARD-WORKING ✧ DISCIPLINED ✦

      Currently editing this part! (it's a bit rubbish sorry ; u ;)
Most people's first impression of Apolline is that she is someone reserved and polite, who isn't afraid of hard work. This impression doesn't change much as people become closer to her. Apolline keeps to herself, and only really speaks to people she doesn't know when she needs to. This makes it difficult for her to make friends. She isn't shy though, no, she's just quiet. Starting conversations are easy, she just doesn't want to or see the need to. At the core of her being, Apolline is a very generous person, and always thinks about others before herself. She will use up all of her energy to ensure people around her are happy and comfortable until she can't keep any energy for herself. Sometimes people use this against her. She tries not to let it happen, but because she just wants other people to be happy, it's hard for her to do that. She also spends a lot of energy working. No matter what it is she's doing, Apolline will put in 110% into it. She puts the most energy into her ballet. She's ambitious, and wants to work hard to get to the top. She spends an absurd amount of time training, a habit she kept from her youth. Her upbringing means Apolline is very disciplined. She likes routine, and sticks to her daily one as much as possible. Apolline is very strict with herself, and is very good at maintaining good habits and kicking old bad ones. Some habits she can't kick of course.

Apolline is what most would call refined. She's the kind of person who has perfect posture, can tell what kind of wine she's drinking, and knows which spoon t use in a fancy restaurant. People often mistake her for being stuck up, which she hates. Apolline has a tendency to keep secrets. This has many effects on her. Sometimes she withholds information from other people for no real reason other than she doesn't feel quite comfortable with telling them, even if it isn't even that important. She is especially tight about keeping secrets about herself. This means she has a tendency to lie a bit, even if she's not the best at telling them. Apolline isn't the best at socializing, but she tries her hardest, and always thinks twice before speaking. She can keep a pokerface pretty well when she wants to, but sometimes her emotions get the better of her.

LIKES
CLASSICAL, TECHNO AND HIP HOP MUSIC - Apolline has a love for French and Russian composers, as her grandmothers taught her, but she also loves modern hip hop and techno. She can jump from Debussy to Nicki Minaj to a remix of both of the above in a moment.
DANCING - Just like her friends, Apolline loves dancing more than life. She dances every day, and dances when she feels happy, angry, or sad. She lives and breathes dancing.
TCHAIKOVSKY - Tchaikovsky is her favourite composer, and grew up listening to his pieces. She has ten different ballet pieces set to The Waltz of The Flowers, and dreams of one day being Odette in Swan Lake.
BREAKFAST FOODS - Apolline loves breakfasts, and she's seen a lot of them. She loves English Breakfasts with baked beans, bacon and sausages, she loves pancakes with maple syrup and butter. She can cook pretty great ones too.
DANCING SHOES - Apolline has an appreciation for dancing shoes. She only ever wears pointe shoes and sneakers, but she has dusty pairs of tap shoes and jazz shoes regardless. What shoes a dancer wears can greatly affect the performance, and Apolline understands that. Apolline has gone through a lot of pointe shoes, and has a "pointe shoes coffin", a box which has every pair of pointe shoes she's broken and/or grown out of.

DISLIKES
HEAT - Apolline doesn't handle high temperatures well, and doesn't like to wear thick clothing.
SHARING INFORMATION - Apolline gets very nervous when telling people something about herself, but her level of nerves and vulnerability varies depending on what kind of information it is. Telling people she likes Tchaikovsky is fine, but giving out her phone number to someone she doesn't know well makes her feel queasy. She feels vulnerable when telling people things about her that they could use to harm her.
COMEDY MOVIES - Apolline has never been a big fan of comedy movies. Of course there are exceptions, but most humor shown in comedy movies just isn't her personal sense of humor. She prefers dramas and foreign films personally.
SOCIAL MEDIA - Linking in with her reluctance to share information, Apolline doesn't care for social media. She only ever gets accounts for the messaging systems so she can talk to people for free. Instagram's alright for her though. She has a pretty nice ballet themed account up. Apart from that, she's nigh impossible to track down on the internet.
PEARS - Apolline does not like pears at all. They make her feel ill, her vision blurs and she wants to gag every time she smells or tastes them. She despises pears.

TALENTS
BALLET - Despite her doubts, Apolline is incredibly good at ballet. Years of training have paid off, and she could get to wherever she wanted in the ballet world if she just believed in herself more.
COOKING - Despite growing up never having to cook for herself, Apolline is skilled in cooking. She's especially good at breakfasts.
LANDSCAPE PAINTING - Just like her ballet, Apolline was taught how to paint by her grandparents, and she excelled in landscape paintings, but her ballet was given more attention. Recently she has been painting a lot.
SEWING - Although it isn't always her job, Apolline can sew to a good extent. She can repair small tears in clothing, and she can darn socks as well. Those aren't the only things she can do, but they're the ones she does often.
ACTING - Although Apolline isn't Oscar standard, she can portray an emotion and carry across a story on stage wonderfully.

FLAWS
COMPULSIVE SECRET KEEPER - Apolline compulsively withholds information for no reason. She can keep secrets to her grave, and it's very difficult to weasel a secret out of her.
BAD AT SOCIALIZING - Apolline may be a great friend sure, and she tries her hardest to say the right things and not be insensitive, but that doesn't mean she's great at talking to people. There have been many a time she has completely bumbled over words and messed up an entire conversation because she's just bad at making small talk.
ANXIETY - Apolline has an anxiety disorder, and struggles with it daily. Dancing helps her keep it under control, and the only reason she can perform is because it's dance. If she were performing anything else she wouldn't be able to perform.
SIGHT READING - Despite studying piano for two years, Apolline cannot read sheet music for peanuts. She can't be handed a piece of sheet music and asked to do something with it. The only thing she'll do with it is put it on the fire.
SELF DOUBT - Apolline doubts herself immensely, and doesn't believe in herself nearly enough.

FEARS
HER BABUSHKA - Though Apolline says she respected her grandmother, she was truly scared of her.
PEARS - Just thinking about pears makes her feel incredibly ill.
ATYCHIPHOBIA - Apolline is afraid of failure. She doesn't want to go all her life without feeling successful with how she spent it.
INFORMATION BEING USED AGAINST HER - Apolline is so reluctant to share information because she's scared that someone she trusts will take the secrets and truths and everything they know about her and will use it to hurt her.
BEING MANIPULATED - Apolline knows she's too kind for her own good, and doesn't want to be manipulated. She has the fear that someone will take one of her qualities and twist it until she becomes a tool for them to use.

"I don't want to die feeling unaccomplished."

ImageBIO
Apolline's mother Vasilisa was a daughter of a famous prima ballerina, and a skilled composer. Her father Edmond was an aspiring entrepreneur, who became extremely successful when he made a surprising deal with a couch cushion company. He too was the child of a prima ballerina, and his father was a painter. After multiple sweet and expensiveromantic dates, they became a married couple, and had their first child. Not Apolline, but an older girl Darya. 7 years later they had a second daughter, Apolline. She grew up in the lap of luxury, with everything she ever wanted given to her. Apolline's parents adored her and she was treated like a jewel. Both she and her sister however, were kept under a strict regimen and set of rules. They were home-schooled with tutors on a wide array of subjects. They were taught how to behave at formal occasions, how to manage accounts, how to speak multiple languages and everything in between. Their upbringing was supposedly looked over by their parents, but everyone in the household knew it was all overseen by the girls' Babushka, Iskra. Iskra ruled over the household with an iron fist. Everything went through her for clearance first. Iskra was once a famous ballet dancer, but after a pas de deux went wrong, she ended up retired early with a walking stick and a limp. Her limp and cane, however, only seemed to make her more intimidating and in control.

When Darya was 4, she was taught ballet by her grandmothers. This tradition continued with Apolline, who was a promising student from the start. Darya hated ballet, she didn't want to do it at all, but Iskra wanted both of her beautiful, promising granddaughters to be perfect, prima ballerinas like she was. She never said it but she had their entire lives planned out before they were born. Darya wanted to be a painter, not like her dedushka, but a modern artist. One that splattered paint across a canvas at a hundred miles an hour. Iskra wouldn't have any of it. While Apolline was the perfect daughter, Darya argued with her family on the daily. When Apolline was 8, and her sister was 15, her sister took a reasonable amount of money and ran away with her girlfriend. Extremely worried about their daughter, Vasilisa and Edmond sent out word to all the police stations in the state. Meanwhile Iskra was not so much worried, but more furious and betrayed. She immediately disowned Darya and put Apolline under even more pressure to be perfect. A month after Darya ran away, Apolline was sent to a boarding school for half a year, after Iskra had suspicions Darya was plotting to take her away with her. Of course she wasn't, but Iskra wasn't taking any chances. When Apolline was at the boarding school, she interacted with children outside her family's connection for the first time in her life.

Time: 8:45 PM
After all the students and coaches have had their day or reuniting a week before, now is the true reunite, where every student and coach gets over whatever feelings they had before and focus on the one thing that originally brought them back together in the first place: dance.
It was a last minute thing, seeing how the classes were to be schedule later, but it was clear no one could wait any long after having connected again so soon. It's dark, cold and dark and raining, yet comforting. The city of New York reminds many of home, when and where they used to practice together when times were less serious and dramatic.
Hopefully, that's still the case...

Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #E57DED

Bali got out of her car after parking. The whole time she drove, she was both excited and afraid to see everyone again, even though she'd already met with them a week before. She couldn't help that small smile that just didn't leave her face the whole time she drove. In fact, because she was spacing out, imagining dancing with everyone, she nearly passed a red light twice and forgot exactly where she was driving, having to make a few couple U turns and what such.

She had just come back from her part time job as a barista at a small, near by coffee shop. She only worked part time, just to keep her busy when she wasn't doing anything and to help out with the cost of the apartment since her parents always seemed to be busy working, themselves. Even her three other sisters tried to pitch in for the cost, though they didn't really do much... Even a little bit counted.

The whole time she worked, Bali had been wearing her dancing clothes underneath her uniform the whole time, even though it was uncomfortable. For some reason, the option of changing after work hadn't occurred to her until she was trying to both drive while strip off that first layer of clothes. It wasn't difficult, though she was driving... incredibly slow. At least five other cars honked at her while she struggled, probably looking ridiculous at the same time.

It was late to do a dance class, but she couldn't help it. She desperately wanted to dance, especially with her friends from way back when. Even if she never told them about her leaving from before, even if some of them might be angry at her, she was still excited. Optimism was her forte, after all.

Upon arriving, she stared up at the building, some sort of sparkling look in her eyes. She was brought back to those small, childhood memories of being a kid and a teen, dancing with everyone when things were serene and calm... Now they'd go back to that again.

Unfortunately, she hadn't exactly brought an umbrella - well, more like she almost did but forgot to put it in the back seat - so getting out of the car and into the building was a bit of a clumsy run across the cement and into the building. Her dark, curly hair, which was once neat and put back, was now growing more tangled and weighing heavier on her head. She realized that getting her hair wet didn't mean it straightening out, it just mean it'd grow to be more of a... bush.

She burst into her class, being taught by a good friend from the past, Nana, exclaiming with soaked hair, clothes, and shoes, "I-I'm here! Um... didn't know if I was late or not. Am I late? Er, work kind of got in the way." She laughed a bit while trying to dry her hair with her hands.

I shouldn't be here...

Nakahara had walked into the studio about twenty minutes ago. The people whom were there didn't even get a glance from him as his brown hues as he started quite adamantly at the floor as he strode inside. Being a professional, punctuality was in his blood. He had kept his distance from the group that was gathered there, leaning his back into the far wall.

He had taken some days off of work for this get together, having a couple months off of his usual and mundane desk job. The work itself was easy, but the work place gave off a very lonely feeling. So far, this place didn't feel all that different. He had no one to blame but himself though, purposely keeping a bit of a distance from the others. It had been years since he saw them all after they had left, leaving him the only one to remain in the end. He wasn't hurt by that however, but felt that he was the one at fault. The past week wasn't much different. Sure some of them sort of got to know each other once more but Naka had locked himself in his room, not bothering to come out until he had to be at the studio. Even then he left at the crack of dawn so hardly no one even knew he was there.

He, like many others most likely, had received a sort of introductory letter that stated their classes and dancing groups. His dull eyes scanned over the page, though he didn't feel the need to complain about being around the most sexually charged people, at least as far as he could remember.

The Exotic Predator, Carmen Villegas Cordero. One of the few people who was older than Naka himself. His rather erotic and spontaneous behavior would normally be at odds with Naka's more calm and dead pan appearance.

The Prince Charming, Eli Blaine Brasher. The younger brother of Dimitri with what seems to be an obsession with his own chest flaunting. Despite being insincere, he was someone Naka could respect, if not be slightly uncomfortable around.

The Sin, Valentine Sinclair. She's not all that a person in the end, honestly. After all someone who's a die hard for Shakespeare can't be all that bad. Naka can't help but remember some cringe worthy incidents with this underclassmen back in the day.

Lastly was their dance leader, or choreographer of sorts, Mikhail Yves Roux. This is an envy inducing sight to behold for Naka, as he greatly revered both his skill and personality. Mikhail was everything Nakahara could never dream to be.

As his eyes scanned the paper, Naka could almost feel himself shrink smaller and smaller still. He was an introverted and picky child in the presence of the very visage of 'sex' or 'excellence'. He felt dwarfed in comparison, though he did not mind. This, in his mind, was at least a bit normal. He continued to read the page.

Duet dancing. It's not as bad as dancing on his own, however the idea of dancing with one these people under the specialty of a professionally trained ballet and jazz dancer was not something to be over the roof about. He preferred group dances that required little to no physical contact in the end. None of them were shy about getting all touchy feely, much to his distress.

"...?"

A look of surprise came across his face. He had noticed all his thoughts. He was getting nostalgic over the names. He was thinking of what his life would be like in dance once more. Thoughts of returning to his desk job didn't cross his mind for once. He felt... Almost happy.

Was this the best choice in the end, after all?

Of course not. It was only a matter of time until he stained the bonds with his cowardly ways.

He let out a long sigh, looking up from the paper and around the room.

----------------------------------------------------------

Apolline was considerably late to the lesson. Usually she would be right on time, but the fact that the rain had caused every New Yorker to rush to their car and cause as many traffic jams as possible slowed her down considerably. Thus, Apolline arrived at the studio at a time her mother would call "fashionably late". Apolline however, did not like being late and quickly unmounted from her bike outside the studio and chained it before rushing inside. (Not before shaking the water off her raincoat of course). Feeling a knot of worry grow in her chest she went into the class, but was confused as to why class hadn't started. She looked up at the clock and realised she was actually one of the crowd of people who were late too. Apolline felt herself relax a bit, but the knot was still there. Apolline remembered her therapist Miss Watson Amanda's advice. Taking deep breaths, Apolline went to the wall and put her bag down, taking a swig from her water bottle. She waited until no one was looking, and took a picture of the ballet bars on her phone. She smiled, happy with the outcome of the shot and began stretching. Though there were many faults with having a bike as transportation, not having to warm up as much at the studio was one of them. As she reached towards her toes, Apolline looked for Nana, and saw her talking to - Bali. Apolline's eyes widened and she immediately looked back at her legs. Damn it Apolline you said you were over this! Well I lied didn't I. Apolline let her forehead fall to her shin and groaned quietly. Talking to myself again, and getting in a stupid crush again. Two ticks off the awkward bingo board. Apolline sighed and continued stretching, trying not to look at Bali from all the new angles. She swore she didn't feelthat way about Bali anymore, but... The whole coming back to the studio, and reuniting with old friends thing had re-ignited a lot of feelings. Including her feelings about Bali. Apolline distracted herself with dance and photographs most of the time. Just like she was trying to now. Apolline looked around at the people arriving, but couldn't really see anyone she could talk to. Apolline finished up her stretch and decided to go over some old choreography while she was waiting. No pointe shoes today, so pointe-less dancing today. Apolline chuckled at her own pun and began warming up everything from arabesques to rond de jambes as she waited for class to start.

Nana Decided to get things started with those who were in her class now, who ever was late would just have to catch up. She stood at the front of the class her hands on her hips and waited for everyone to be quiet, which was rather quick due to her almost mean and frightening look. Once they were quiet she smiled. "Alright then! I want to see what we will be working with this year, I'm sure you all know each other if not of each other, but you can chit chat after we leave here!" She walked over to the stereo that was hooked up to her Ipod and unplugged it. I trust you all Carry around some sort of music with you, Quickly pick out a song and put it on and perform a short piece for us. Starting with the youngest."
She walked to the back of the room and folded her arms and stood waiting for the students to get moving.
