Ethan is a tall man of 6'3". He weighs in at about 135 lbs, and is pretty thin. He has a muscular build that he tends to show off often. His hair is a chestnut brown color, and he keeps it cropped short and usually styles it so that the front is spiked up. His eyes are a chocolate brown that many girls could just melt into. His most defining feature is his extremely pronounced square jaw. It is quite strong and defined, and it makes him look stronger somehow. He also has high cheekbones and a smile that could light up a room. His skin is slightly tan, and he has freckles sprinkled across his nose and cheeks. However, he has many scars over his body and face from the beating his ex's brother and his buddies gave him. The most noticeable ones are an inch long white scar on his stomach from a stab wound that protrudes greatly, a long white scar across his left shoulder blade from another knife wound, and one on his lower lip that is vertical from it getting busted open.
Personality
Ethan is a rather bitter man now that he's lost the one he loves. He doesn't let anyone get close to him, and usually pushes people away. He has become cynical and sarcastic, not really seeing any joy in life. He doesn't usually say anything to anyone, preferring to sit back and listen. But if spoken to, he will give a rather pessimistic answer to whatever it is you ask him. His silence often comes off as a "cool" vibe that usually gets women to come after him more. And he definantly doesn't refuse. In fact, he encourages it, often hitting on women and being a flirt. Ethan usually speaks in a monotone, unless trying to pick up women. He angers easily due to his past, flying off the handle for ridiculous things sometimes. He just refuses to take any more shit in his life. Underneath his rough exterior though, is a man who just wants to hold the woman he loves again. He hides his feelings so that he can't possibly be hurt again like he had been.
History
Ethan had a bit of a rough childhood. He had grown up in the slums, being poor his whole life, with his mother and brother. He had fallen into drugs by the time he was 15. But when he was 17, his whole life turned around. He had been looking for his brother one night, and knocked on a door to a house looking for him. The girl who had opened the door he could have sworn was an angel. He somehow convinced her to be with him, and he was happy for about a year. Then, the girl's brother found out, and he and his buddies came to teach Ethan a lesson. They beat him senseless, leaving many scars and ran him out of town. Being a young and confused boy, he complied, not knowing what else he could do. Since then, his life has progressively gotten worse. He's been from job to job, living in a crap little apartment and picking up girls all over the place. While he didn't go back to drugs, he has dipped into alcohol more and more as the years went by.
Black- Pearl Jam
Hey... oooh...
Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay
Were laid spread out before me as her body once did.
All five horizons revolved around her soul as the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn
Ooh, and all I taught her was everything
Ooh, I know she gave me all that she wore
And now my bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds of what was everything.
Oh, the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything...
I take a walk outside, I'm surrounded by some kids at play
I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear?
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin round my head,
I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning, how quick the sun can drop away
And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass of what was everything
All the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything...
All the love gone bad turned my world to black
Tattooed all I see, all that I am, all I'll be... yeah...
Uh huh... uh huh... ooh...
I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky,
But why, why, why can't it be, can't it be mine?
Aah... uuh..
Too doo doo too, too doo doo [many times until fade]
