Charlie is a cool, calm, and collected indivdual. He is able to remain calm, and rational even in the most trying of situations, and even be able to crack jokes, and sarcastic remarks. He is highly sarcastic, and flirtatious, and seemingly doesn't take anything seriously. But he does take things seriously, he just chooses to crack jokes, and keep things light. He can be quite stubborn, and bullheaded as well, and prefers to do things himself, and his way.
He is also quite brave, cunning, and devious. He's a gentleman thief, meaning he doesn't steal from random people, and prefers not to harm people. Indeed, he doesn't like killing or hurting people, he prefers to talk his way out of situations. He can be quite kind to others, especially children. He has a soft spot for kids, and will go out of his way to help them, or make them happy. He can also be quite loyal to those he thinks is his friend, and can trust. Given his line of work that is a very short list.
He's a thrill seeker by nature, and so he loves a challenge. He loves the thrill of stealing something, and getting away with it. He's a bit of a glory seeker as well, and is well known within the thieving circles. He doesn't see thieving as a real crime, as he's just stealing things, and things can always be replaced. He has a lot of fun with it, and quite enjoys it. He holds a lot of guilt over something that happened in the past, and it is pretty apparent, but he won't discuss it, or his past. Few even know where he grew up at.

Brooklyn, New York
|{History}|
Charlie was born an orphan, he wasn't even a day old when he was dropped off the footsteps of an orphanage. Cliched, yes, but it happened. Growing up an orphan Charlie wasn't the happiest of children. He got in trouble consistantly. He'd bound around foster home to foster home, but he was labeled a lost cause. When he was thirteen he fell through the cracks of the system, and ran away. He ended up on the streets of Brooklyn, alone, and with no home.
It was there his long carreer of crime began. At first he started out as drug mule, who'd search a kid for some hardcore drugs anyway? Then from there he began stealing. Pickpocketing, knocking over convenience stores, and the like. Of course he didn't straight up rob the stores like most would, he merely tricked the store owners by causing a distraction somewhere in the store, and then grabbing the cash out from behind the counter.
It was during this time that he met the man who would change his life, Bill Golden. Bill was a carreer criminal, he was a notiorous thief for hire. He was renouned as the greatest thief of his generation. He's stolen billions in artifacts, secrets, jewels, and just about anything, and everything inbetween. But Charlie didn't know this. Charlie thought he was a easy mark, so he lifted his wallet. Rather expertly at that, if it wasn't on someone who did that for a living it would have gone unoticed.
Bill tracked Charlie down, and offered him a job. He told him that he was impressed that he got by him like that, and offered to teach him how to be a proper thief like himself. Charlie was skeptical at first, well who wouldn't have been? But his disbelief was quickly silenced when Bill showed him a big wad of cash, just the tip of the iceberg if he stuck with him. And so Charlie did, and was adopted by Bill.
Once on board, Charlie learned that Bill had a team of 'wayward' youths with him. Though they were a bit older than him, they all came from somewhat similar backgrounds. Bad home lives, and ended up in crime. Bill was what he called a 'talent scout'. He observed police reports from many different countries to find young men, and women with a growing record, and quite a bit potiental. Charlie was actually a happy accident.
Over time Charlie proved to be a protege. He quickly picked up all the things Bill had to teach him. By the time he was seventeen he was already a master theft at Bill's caliber. Charlie, and Bill grew close as well, becoming father, and son. This didn't sit well with Bill's other recruits. They thought Charlie was getting special treatment, getting less dangerous jobs, and more pay than them. So they set him up.
Charlie was caught red handed in Moscow during a botched museum heist, thanks to his adopted family. He was captured by Russian authority, and sent to the deepest, darkest hole they had. Charlie spent an entire year in a Russian prison before he was found by Bill. During that time Charlie learned he was set up by his family, and was told by Bill as well. Bill set up a prison escape to rescue him.
When Bill finally found Charlie, Charlie went along with the plan, as he planned on double-crossing Bill, and leaving him in the prison. As they were escaping Charlie trapped Bill on the inside of the prison. Charlie escaped, and as he was leaving he saw over his shoulder Bill getting shot. Once he was free he found out that Bill had nothing to do with setting him up. It was all on his adopted brothers, and sisters.
After that ordeal Charlie tried to get Bill freed, but it was no use. So instead he spent the next two years tracking down his siblings. Once he found one he'd screw up whatever job they were doing, and make sure they got caught. And to make sure they stayed in prison for a good long time he may, or may not have placed some evidence to some serious crimes. Maybe a few outgoing calls to known terrorist, maybe a few thousand kilos of drugs, or maybe he bought a few murder weapons of a couple world leaders from their assassins, and planted it on them? Of course none of this can't be proven mind you.
Once his revenge was settled he returned to his roots, and began thieveing again. And his infamy increased. This eventually landed him his current gig.

Yeah
Lookin' back on the track for a little green bag
Got to find just the kind for losin' my mind
Outta sight in the night, outta sight in the day
Lookin' back on the track, gonna do it my way
Outta sight in the night, outta sight in the day
Lookin' back on the track, gonna do it my way
Look back
Lookin' for some happiness but there is only loneliness to find
Jump to the left, turn to the right
Lookin' up stairs, lookin' behind
Lookin' for some happiness but there is only loneliness to find
Jump to the left, turn to the right
Lookin' upstairs, lookin' behind
Yeah
Lookin' back on the track for a little green bag
Got to find just the kind for losin' my mind
Outta sight in the night, outta sight in the day
Lookin' back on the track, gonna do it my way
Lookin' back on the track for a little, little green bag
Got to find just the kind for losin' my mind
All right
Lookin' for some happiness but there is only loneliness to find
Jump to the left, turn to the right
Lookin' upstairs, lookin' behind
