Personality: Andra is plain spoken and not one to chatter or avoid the point. She speaks when she feels there is need otherwise she remains quiet and listens. She is proud of her heritage and guards the Dalish way of life jealously preferring not to discuss it with outsiders. She respects anyone who shows strength of character regardless of their skills and is very open minded. She will not judge someone prematurely preferring to wait and see as she believes a persons actions will show what kind of person they really are. Perhaps her biggest flaws are her wariness of human's, and her tendency to believe she does not need help. She is a proud woman who is incapable of asking for help no matter how dire her need is.

Background: Andra was born to the Stalehri clan of Dalish elves, deep in the Brecillian forest. Theirs was an elusive clan which avoided humans wherever possible. Unlike some of their brethren they chose to avoid human lands and only approached in dire need. They preferred to live of the land and eat what they killed, and live in what they made. Andra was the daughter of Miraliya the clan's keeper but unusually she did not follow in her mother's footsteps. She had no real gift for the ways of the keeper instead she was more in tune with nature and the ways of the hunter. She became a skilled hunter like her father had been before he was killed when she was a small child. Andra was easily the most skilled with a bow and when wielding her daggers she was rarely bested. The clan survived the Blight though not without losing many of their own to the hordes of Darkspawn and even though the clan continued it was smaller than it had once been. A decade after the blight and the clan continued to survive in the forest as it had always done, but then a tragedy occurred in the clan one that changed Andra and made her question her life and the role she was fulfilling. Her sister Lira, a fellow hunter fell ill after returning to the clan and it was discovered that she had been exploring an old cave searching for lost artifacts of the Dalish. She had come across a small band of Darkspawn, unusual but not unheard of in times with no blight, and though she had killed them she had been struck down with the taint. Andra was forced to kill her a day later rather than see her become a wasted, thrall of the Darkspawn. Soon after Andra left her clan needing to find answers and possibly some kind of peace for what had happened, she decided to try and seek out the Grey Warden's hoping to join their ranks and fight Darkspawn in her sister's name.
